@Grumblevolcano Chrono Trigger would be good. Maybe they could bundle it with Chrono Cross this time rather than FFIV, such a weird PS1 2-pack on my shelf.

@Alcea “You are in the minority”

Good. As my wife says 7/8th of the population are idiots. So I’m more than happy to be part of the minority 1/8th. 😂

@Zeeba Grieve all you want, just use your inside (your head) voice, and use your outside voice where appropriate, over on PS or some other Sony website, or on social media in general. This is a very specifically Nintendo gaming site, no more discs has nothing to do with us.

As I said I’m grieving too, half the games I play I borrow from my library, can’t do that at all without discs, so I’ll be playing a lot less games after 2028, but that isn’t relevant to here. I’m also dreading my upcoming dentist appointment but I’m not posting about that here either. Well at least I wasn’t until now. 😁

@Olliemar28 My man, can we not encourage the demise of physical discs discourse here, it’s overwhelming over on PS. I mean I hate it, I have a house full of physical games going back to the Atari 7800 and every gen since, but I don’t need to read about it in every article. Nintendo stopped making discs like 10 years ago when they stopped making home consoles, trying to get me to rebuy all my Wii U disc games as carts, which I rarely did. They may stop with physical carts some day as well. Then we can talk about it here.

I’m not for banning it or deleting comments, I’m not a fan of censorship, I’m just asking you as an employee of NL not to encourage it here. 😁

Re: Disney Kingdom Hearts Anime Series "Coming Soon"

rjejr

Wondering which of the many ways this could go. Making it for people who play the games vs people who don’t is probably 2 entirely different shows. Could still be good either way. Never played League of Legends but Arkane was good. I only played Cyberpunk b/c Edgerunners was so good. I’ll watch. I’ve only played KH 1 and half of 2 but I own them all. Well except 2.8 which is why I still haven’t played 3. Maybe before 4?

Re: Kingdom Hearts IV Is Launching On Switch 2 In Late 2027, Here's A Brand-New Trailer

@Grumblevolcano After all these years your comments are still on point. Squenix releasing FF7 Revelation and KH4 in the same year was the first thing I thought of. Well maybe after trying to recall what Coco was and if I’d seen it or not. I don’t play 14 so hadn’t thought of the expansion but my wife and I were discussing it at lunch yesterday wondering if maybe now was a good time to start.

Kinda makes me wonder what Squenix does next having recently cancelled the 9 remake. Well besides PS6 versions of all 3 FF7 games. Maybe DQ 12 finally?

Re: Review: Duskfade (Switch 2) - A Very Likeable Kingdom Hearts-Inspired Platformer That's Not Quite There

rjejr

@SwitchVogel Funny you mentioned Spyro. While I didn’t in my long winded comment here, sorry about that got excited and carried away, I’ve been discussing platformers in the Sunshine article and Spyro came up. In a good way, big fan.

You ever play Tak and the Power of Juju? People seem to remember the tv show but the first game was pretty good. Unfortunately it was like the 4th best platformer on PS2 after J&D, Sly and R&C. Duskfade feels the most like that, AA, not AAA, w/ a price to match. I’ll probably take your advice and still wait for a sale though, no time. And maybe the game improves.

Who knows, maybe 5 years from now they’ll turn Cuckoo into Sparx. 😁

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch 2's GameCube Library With Another Game This Week

rjejr

@electrolite77 “ Sunshine was also unfortunate in that I played it after Jak and Daxter “

J&D is my all time favorite game. Though I haven’t played it in a decade since I got the platinum, my 1 and only plat, so it may be garbage now, but it’s still my game. Uncharted 2 is my favorite interactive movie, Xenoblade Chronicles my favorite JRPG (dethroning FF7 after 2 decades. J&D 2, 3 and X were not good, only the first.

I played M64 right after that. It never stood a chance. I’m a sucker for spoken dialogue. Even the PS1 Spyro games I’d take over M64, that dragon was adorable.

Sunshine probably isn’t a great Mario game, but it was a fun and different game. Besides spoken dialogue I’m also a huge fan of color, and there isn’t much more colorful than glowing up Defino Isle as you collect shine sprites and literally wash away the splatoon ink.

How will it hold up? No idea. But I am kind of itching to find out. Wahoo!

My kids are in their 20s now, my saves should be safe. Well from them anyway. I’m getting old and easily confused, wouldn’t be shocked if I accidentally deleted them myself. 😩

Re Galaxy. I just replayed 1 & 2, Wii discs on my Wii U, in honor of the re-rereales. I still had a great time w/ Galaxy but 2 did not hold up for me, at all. It really felt like “challenge mode” DLC, not a sequel. I don’t like a challenge. Still haven’t played the Luigi levels in NSMB(U?). But it was what it was. 8 years since Odyssey, they’re killing me w/ the wait. Galaxy 3 on Switch 2 hardware could be unbelievable. The platformer to end all platformers. Maybe some day. I mean they kid have to have a new 3D Mario this Gen, right? DKB was cool and all so I understand the wait, but some day.

Re: Indie Publisher Nakana.io Is Closing, All Games Now Heavily Discounted

rjejr

@Olliemar28 See what @shiningpikablu252 said about Arrog in their comment #8 above. It's the only game that didn't come up when I searched Nakana.io. I searched for it by name Arrog after I found it for $1.99.

Also in the article near the end you mistyped Nakana.io as Nakano.io last a is an o. "Nakano.io stresses that ..."
No biggie but anyone searching for Nakano may come up empty.

Re: Indie Publisher Nakana.io Is Closing, All Games Now Heavily Discounted

rjejr

@-wc- That was pretty much what I was thinking as I finally found the Groups tab on the page and have been downloading and adding the 4 games I already own to it. May buy another 3 for 10c each. I think both you and they are right, the Groups do kind of work as folders, I named my 2 Nakana.io and NSO+, but the problem really is how Nintendo barely uses them and the Home screen (I'm on Switch 2 not 1) is still a mess, now covered in 4 of these games. I'm going to do my own research to try and tidy things up, but I'm not optimistic.

@Spider-Kev I was reading the comments before my emails and saw 18 before 19, it was funnier that way. 😂

3DS was good though. I didn't own 1 but used my wife's for Nintendo Arcade and put all her games in actual functioning folders.

Re: Review: Duskfade (Switch 2) - A Very Likeable Kingdom Hearts-Inspired Platformer That's Not Quite There

rjejr

@SwitchVogel Nice review.👍 I’ve only played the demo so far, on PS5, but I agree with pretty much everything you’ve said. A 7 seems fair, though personally I’d give it an 8 b/c I think price does matter and at only $30 (PS price but I’ll assume it’s going for that here as well) I think you’re getting a decent game. I’d guess a good 12 hours from the demo, though I suppose it’s possible the game gets shorter and worse as it goes, Yooka-Lalyee had 5 levels that I’d rate in order 9-7-5-3-0. 😝

“ one rather irritating omission is the lack of any sort of map “

I’m a big map guy and I did think about this, and I decided I could probably survive without a map, but it needs a compass across the top b/c it is easy to get turned around after opening a chest or a cut scene. In the old days in a 3D platformer like this, back before camera controls became a thing, you might be able to hold down a button and go into first person mode to the move the camera around, so I’d be ok w/ a button that did that and brought up a compass. Or, since cuckoo is a thing, click on it and have it point you in the correct direction. Though maybe it flies there anyway, I wasn’t paying too much attention until I figured out it beeps to talk to you.

So how bad is the backtracking? The demo had a few fast travel points but they were few and far between. A lot of obvious “come back for this later” orange rocks. I don’t mind optional backtracking to 100% a collectathon but I don’t like it forced to move forward. One of the things I dislike about Metroidvanias, and Zelda. Seems a cheap way to extend gameplay.

Hopefully they’ll update a lot of this later on. Most games these days get like a year of patches. A map or compass, 1 time use fast travel points items, better lock-on (that bothered me as well).

Overall though, if the demo is representative of the full game and it doesn’t all fall apart like Y-L, congrats to them, they should have a hit on their hands. Even if it is a PS2 game, those were the days. 😁

Re: Indie Publisher Nakana.io Is Closing, All Games Now Heavily Discounted

I think I may have purchased EEQO. I remember once buying a game about an egg and donating $1 to plant, buy or name a tree. Don’t think I ever played it though. Guess I’ll go check if it’s on my Switch 2.

Not sure I’ve heard of any of the other ones. Maybe Lydia, but that might just be b/c it’s my goddaughter’s name.

Edit 2: Does the Swirch 2 have “folders” yet? I might be inclined to play these if I could put them all in one place so I could find them. That 1 row on the Switch 2 Home Screen is basically useless garbage.😝

Edit: So I clicked on 1 of the links in the article and found 1 of my comments from May 2020, so a little over 6 years ago, and apparently I already own several of these. Who knows, maybe I own all or most of them.

Eqqo also has $1 DLC that they'll donate profits to trees. Lydia has DLC as well, $5, way way way down at the bottom of the pages.

Re: Nintendo Download: 13th August (North America)

rjejr

I played the Duskfade demo on PS5. It was decently long, 90 minutes or so, and played pretty well for a 3D platformer. For $30 it seems worth it, though I’m so busy with other games I will probably wait for a sale like I usually do.

Maybe with the game releasing Switch 2 will get a demo as well. It’s very PS2 cartoony graphics so I don’t think Switch 2 should have any problem running it or having it look just as good as the PS5 version but you never know.

Re: Switch 2 Demo Kiosks Now Advertising September Price Hike

rjejr

@SlimeRyu “ Plus buying another console means we get another dock for another screen around the house, an extra joycons to play multiplayer ”

It’s a good argument. I used to make it all the time when Nintendo announced their Switch Dock for $90, and Joycon were $40 each, and Grip was like $20, and the official charger could be had for $30, and a $5 HDMI cable. You were basically getting a $300 Switch for only $75 if you wanted all the accessories anyway.

Haven’t done the $ math on a $500 Switch 2 but the $90 Switch Dock always seemed insane to me. I don’t think it even included the official $30 charger that the OG Switch really wanted to use. Or an HDMI cable. 🤑 So I say you did good.👍

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch 2's GameCube Library With Another Game This Week

rjejr

Thanks for the reminder. Returned Splatoon Riders and gve up on Warioland b/c it looked and played like garbage, I couldn’t actually believe it was a GameCube game, that little lunchbox had some killer great games on it like this, Luigi’s Mansion, Pikmin, Starfox Adventures etc. Wario wasn’t that. I had already given up on DK64 but I’ve never liked the N64 anyway, but the GameCube was the real deal.

@electrolite77 “ the cycle again where I get excited to play this, then slowly lose enthusiasm as the dreadful Camera grinds me down, then finally get janked after a few hours”

I really liked Sunshine the first time, after really hating Mario 64, but I am a bit worried about it no longer holding up after Galaxy. Heck Odyssey didn’t even hold up after Galaxy. But I’m going to try. 1 of my kids deleted all of my SM Sunshine save files on the Gaecube. They were young and thought making the heads disappear was fun. Ugh. Hopefully the save states don’t disappear. 😁

Re: The Duskbloods Network Test Sign Up Dates, Times & How To Join

rjejr

Got selected, like apparently 99% of people who signed up did. And why wouldn’t they? It’s supposed to be a stress test, so the more people trying to play the better. Plus it reads like 8 at a time, so they’re going to need a lot of people.

Works out for us. I wasn’t going to play but my kid is. They’re going away for a week and coming home the day before the Playtest. I’ll download it while they’re away. Maybe even try it out once while they’re sleeping between 6-10AM.

Re: Nintendo Highlights Multiple Major Third-Party Releases For Switch 2 In 2026 And Beyond

rjejr

Great list for Nintendo, horribly frightening list for Sony. Going to be hard to sell $1,000 PS6 if a lot of the same games are also releasing on Switch 2. Especially in Japan.

All Nintendo really has left to do is play nice with Hoyoverse and get Genshin Impact on Switch 2 like they’ve been saying for years now, along with all the rest of the gacha stuff, and they’ll own like 98% of the Japanese gaming market.

Still glad we got our Switch 2 for free from my wife’s job, Orbitals is about all I’m interested in, that I haven’t already played. FF7 Rev will be on PS5 w/ the other 2 1/2. By the time games start skipping PS5 and Switch 2 entirely for PS6 I should be done with gaming.

Re: Nintendo Reconfirms Release Windows For Upcoming Switch 2 Games

rjejr

Nintendo has had so many Swirch 2 games come out already this year with about 1 a month still to go but I’m still not feeling it. If we were hard up for money I would seriously consider trading our Swirch 2 in. I traded in, well actually returned, Splatoon Raiders after about 10 hours b/c it really wasn’t my type of game. Going to use the money to buy Wolverine probably.

I am very much looking forward to Xenoblade, but that’s about it. My kid will play the new Pokemon so that’s something. Still hoping for a surprise game before years end like a new, not Switch 2 Edition or remastered, Paper Mario. But with Sports coming probably not. My kid played some of OoT then stopped b/c he didn’t like it so probably not for me either. Oh well, always next year.

Re: Xbox Series S Is Now More Expensive Than Switch 2 In Europe And The UK

rjejr

“Game Over for Console Gaming” feels like a headline we'll be reading a lot in a couple of years.

Of course we were reading it a lot a decade ago as well, Pacter alone may have written it a few times, but this time feels different..

Gaming isn’t dead. People need phones and PCs, so plenty of places to play still, but I’m not sure how many people will need dedicated $1,000 consoles when most games are available on those PCs and phones they need.

Nintendo is selling a $100 Alarmo alarm clock, maybe they’ll partner with some company for a game playing phone. SwitchPhone.

Might be why Sony and MS both want portables, slightly cheaper to make with lowered expectations.

Re: UK Charts: Splatoon Raiders Knocks Assassin's Creed Down A Peg

rjejr

MKW still being Top 10 is crazy to me. If you want a launch title just buy the bundle. Unless they don’t have the bundle in the UK? Or this includes the bundled game?

I’ve been having some regrets about buying Splatoon, but it’s possible I’ve already played it in 3 days more than MKW in a year so I suppose that’s a win. 😁

Re: Random: Splatoon Raiders' Interactive Loading Screen Secret Can Crash The Game

rjejr

Good thing I only play docked. 😁

Has any other game ever done this before? Touching an entire touchscreen with your hand doesn’t seem to me like something you would ever want to do. I’m not saying it should crash, just that I’m not completely surprised I guess. Though I suppose it should be something they test for.

I wish someone would have tested that crane mini game. It’s got to be the worst control implementation I’ve ever played of any mini game ever. It’s so bad I wish it would crash the game so I’d stop trying to play it. 😝

Re: PSA: Splatoon Raiders' Tank Limiter Not Working? You May Be Pressing The Button Wrong

rjejr

Reminds me of my time playing Elden Ring. It was my first Fromsoft game and aside from the difficulty there was a lot going on in the menu system and the button usage. I was on PS nearly every day asking people for help. Some of it turned out to be pretty basic stuff, but some was a little weird.

These days I pretty much press every button to see what it does, but hold isn’t a thing I do. Well except for jumping. I play a lot of platformers and sometimes the jump is just a jump, but sometimes it’s a higher the longer you hold it jump. Then there’s double jump. And ground pound.

Waiting impatiently for my Amazon Prime delivery. It went out a few hours ago but I don’t have an ETA yet, maybe I’ll get a “ Your package is 10 stops away” message soon.

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Defends Nintendo's Production Of Remakes

rjejr

Remakes are fine. Remasters too. As long as they’re farmed ou5 to a secondary team - story, art, gameplay etc are already done - and let the main team make new games. Squenix manages to put ou5 new games while it works on 7. Though admittedly most of thos3 are 2DHD and DQ remakes as DQ12 is getting remade before it even releases.😩

Re: Nintendo Asks Court To Dismiss U.S. Tariff Refund Lawsuit

rjejr

@DoomPlague According to this article on business website Forbes there are a couple of sentences which contradict what you said.

“ Nintendo said it made the “difficult decision” to raise prices for some of its products “in response to market conditions,” which the firm said included tariffs as well as the cost of memory, labor and shipping. “

“ Nintendo announced a price hike for its then-upcoming Switch 2 console one day after President Donald Trump announced sweeping tariffs against more than 180 countries last year. The video game firm launched global price hikes again earlier this year, citing “market conditions,” “

https://www.forbes.com/sites/tylerroush/2026/07/21/nintendo-wont-pass-on-tariff-refunds-arguing-consumers-received-exactly-what-they-bargained-and-paid-for/

So according to this article Nintendo admitted to raising prices b/c of the tariffs the first time they raised prices, it was the second time they raised prices which accounted for market conditions.

Is the article correct? I don’t know. But does it change your opinion any if Nintendo itself said - “Yes we raised prices to cover the cost of the tariffs, and yes we sued the US government and got our illegally paid money back, but no we aren’t returning it to consumers.” B/c that’s how this read. And it’s why I said we needed answers to those questions in my first post. How can anyone take sides without knowing all the details? I mean yeah sure people do it all the time, but I don’t. I rarely pick a side before knowing what is going on.

Re: Nintendo Asks Court To Dismiss U.S. Tariff Refund Lawsuit

rjejr

@Reiditandweep My guy, did you read the first sentence of the post I was replying to? FYI it wasn’t yours, someone else’s.

“ There's nothing illegal about increasing prices. “

They made a blanket statement that there is NOTHING illegal about increasing prices, and I pulled that blanket off and showed them an actual law showing where it actually can be illegal to increases prices. Done and done.

Re: The Duskbloods Network Test Sign Up Dates, Times & How To Join

rjejr

@CaptainQuo I got the error first time as well, went back and tried it again, saw the little Edit box to the right of name, clicked on share region code, and it worked. Kinda makes sense if they are testing regions.

At first I thought maybe there was an error b/c my NO+ is through a Family account with my kid as primary but they never really asked about that.

I’m not planning on playing it, gonna to let my hardcore kid who’s into that stuff play on my account. If they’re looking for a variety of people to play it I figure I got a shot to get in b/c how many people are 60+?

If I was them I probably wouldn’t even choose anyone over 50. 🤣

Re: Nintendo Asks Court To Dismiss U.S. Tariff Refund Lawsuit

rjejr

@dew12333 Don’t know why I said $10, and I don’t even use Venmo. It just popped in my head and I thought it was funny to defuse the situation. Not every post and reply needs to be a struggle to the death.🤣

@Mainsaile Thanks. 👍

@idkmyname “The tariffs aren't an "emergency situation"”

I could be wrong, but I think what happened was Trump DECLARED an emergency situation, and that gave him the right to collect the tariffs, but then SCOTUS said no to the emergency, which is why the US is supposed to return the money. So yeah it kinda was an emergency situation.

But that’s kinda besides the point anyway. You said it wasn’t illegal to raise prices, and I simply gave you an example where it is.

@ManeK Are you illiterate? My very first question, which I kindly numbered and separated out for all to read:

“ 1. Did Nintendo have price hikes on physical goods in part due to US tariffs?”

If Nintendo didn’t raise them due to tariffs then just say so, end of lawsuit. Easy peasy.

Which brings us to my follow-up questions:

“ 3. How much did they pay the US in additional tariffs?
4. How much was refunded to them after the US government was told the tariffs were illegal?”

If Nintendo hasn’t, and will not, receive any money from the US government as tariff rebates then there is nothing to refund to its customers. Again, end of lawsuit, easy peasy.

But, if Nintendo did say the US price increase was due to tariffs, and if received a refund of the tariffs they paid, then why shouldn’t we be discussing how that money is refunded to the customers who paid it?

Re: Round Up: "Incredibly Compelling" - The Splatoon Raiders Reviews Are In

rjejr

Someone inform Game Informer that if you’re rating a game 8.75 you aren’t rating it on a 1-10 scale, you’re rating it 87.5 on a 1-100 scale. And if you’re using a 1-100 scale you shouldn’t need a decimal, just pick 87 or 88. Saying 8.75/10 is just 🤣

Glad to see all the good reviews. Hard to tell if the bad reviews were from people who’d rather be playing something else, like maybe in another genre entirely. I’m planning on playing it hoping it’s an adventure like Jak & Daxter or Ratchet & Clank, or Starfox Adventure for you Nintendo only gamers. If it’s just the single player included in the other Splatoon games I will be disappointed. People keep calling it a budget game, but it’s still $60, that was normal price like a year ago.

Guess we’ll see. Whatever my final verdict, it won’t involve 2 decimal places to the 100th of a point.🤪

Re: Review: Splatoon Raiders (Switch 2) - The Best Single-Player Splatoon Has Fantastic Multiplayer

rjejr

A couple of questions:

How many levels and how long to play once through all of them and presumably see the credits before the replays start? While replaying it should be fun if I've seen all the levels in a few hours I'll be very disappointed.

Do the invisible levels from the single player in the first game return? Still my favorite.

How are the controls? Is gyro in there? I'm still not sure how people play with gyro aiming in handheld mode, making me motion sick just thinking about it, but it works great on handheld. Also, how does it feel joycon vs Pro?

Any whispers or rumors yet of paid dlc or a season pass? Platoon has always been good about free in game support and only charging extra for the dlc, so I'm optimistic. But brand new $70 DKB immediately after release locked all it's ongoing gaming behind a $20 dlc, and I'm still sore about that.

Won't be great if after constantly reading about this being a "budget game" if bext week or next month Nintendo says "Hey, liking our game, how about giving us another $25 for the rest of it."🤑

Re: Latest Physical Sales Data Proves The Format Is, In Fact, Dying

rjejr

@Sinton Hey thanks for the comment. Between this article and the 1 about the lawsuit I was beginning to think half of these posts were paid. 😩

I’ve known physical was going away for years and have expected PS6 to be digital only for years, but Sony is still selling PS5 with disc drives, and selling a separate disc drive, and they shouldn’t just mid-gen be all “no more discs for you” and expect people not to be upset about it. They took away Other OS, got sued, and lost. Hopefully the same thing happens again. Or better yet they just do the right thing and continue to make PS5 games available on disc. PS6 is a done deal digital, but it hasn’t even been announced yet, so whatever on that front.

So which is it, there’s nothing illegal about raising prices, or raising prices b/c of Trump’s illegal tariffs was illegal? Your first 2 sentences contradict each other.

Oh, and also your first sentence is wrong.

Re: PSA: Disney Speedstorm - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Now Available

rjejr

@Rafciu You can unlock racers just by playing, all the tracks are just there. I spent $2 the other day for the first time and I have about 100 racers. Doing so for most of them is going to be a slog though. When I started you got Mickey Mouse to start, then quickly unlocked Goofy, Donald and maybe a couple of others. Not sure how it works now. I can unlock about 1 new racer a week, but I have 100 leveled up racers so I can do all the missions. I’m really not sure how it starts.

@Serpenterror The game has a lot of offline content, both single and multiplayer. You might need to dig around a little to find it all, kind of like how Super Smash Bros has all those different menus, but each week they add a dozen new race missions, plus the daily stuff, plus an adventure mode to play through, and each location has a set of “Grand Prix” type races for each driver from that location. Or you can play on any track just to learn the shortcuts. On PS5 there is 4 player offline. Of my near 600 hours probably 2/3 is offline.

I told my kids the other day this is the best racing game I’ve ever played, from a playing it racing perspective, but I regretfully have to tell everyone NOT to play it because the moneitization is insane. Like truly historically insane. I bet you could open the menu right now and spend $1,000 on racers. I’m not talking about just the daily grind currency, but just each racer. It should be criminal. They should all be in jail. 🤑

Re: Nintendo Asks Court To Dismiss U.S. Tariff Refund Lawsuit

rjejr

I’m all for this lawsuit. Even if it loses, which is almost certainly will, maybe we get disclosure if it proceeds. And who knows, maybe the people will win. It’s happened before. It happens all the time. I’ve gotten a handful of checks in my lifetime for like $5 or $10 from class action suits. I get money every year in the form of a Visa card from Hyundai for falsely claiming 40mpg on my Elantra. It’s probably been about $200 total.

Personal experience and gain aside here’s what I’d like showon in a lawsuit.

1. Did Nintendo have price hikes on physical goods in part due to US tariffs?
2. How much additional to Nintendo collect after the price hikes?
3. How much did they pay the US in additional tariffs?
4. How much was refunded to them after the US government was told the tariffs were illegal?
5. Why hasn’t Nintendo lowered prices once the tariffs were deemed illegal and rescinded?

I’m sure all of this has been covered by Nintendo HQ in meetings, email and texts and they should be able to answer all of those questions.

Even if Nintendo can’t return their ILLEGALLY GOTTEN GAIN to the individuals who paid it they should at least be forced to explain why they haven’t lowered the prices back to the pre-tariff price.

Defending a large corporation illegally taking your money is a choice. 🤑

Re: Preview: Splatoon Raiders Promises The Single-Player Splatting I Always Wanted

rjejr

@JimNorman Excuse me Mr. Norman. Will we be getting a full review of Splatoon Raiders before the full game releases on Thursday? Preview was good enough that I preordered it, but I’m still wondering if it’s enough game for me for $50. I haven’t seen anything about how many levels there are and what the expected first time play through will be like. I’m not much on replaying anything. I like included post game content like what we got w/ DKB, that was a lot of fun, but DKB has also locked all its post post-game content behind a paywall we ain’t paying. $80 was enough.

Most games of this type, Astrobot, Rachet & Clank, tend to be about 10-12 hours for me, but with all the “replay” expected in this 1 I could see it only being 4 or 5 hours the first time through. I don’t like when the credits roll when I just feel like I’ve gotten started. Leave that for the $20 dlc.

Oh, I’m not asking for any secret info, just when the review embargo ends. My web search said June 30th but I haven’t seen a real review yet, just previews.

@Wakkawipeout Pokémon is due out next year. If you want that game, which I think is a Switch 2 exclusive, then save your money. OLED has been out for what, 3 years, plenty of time to buy 1 before now. I know there are still reasons to buy one, I’m just surprised at how many per week. It’s a lot.

Might try it out. Have been playing it since it released on PS5 and I’ve really enjoyed it. But, it’s an analog trigger for gas, so I’m not sure how well that will translate over. Would probably make the perfect boost start a lot easier, I still have a problem with those.

Spent money on it today for the first time, $1.99. Not bad for 675 hours worth of mostly enjoyable game time. Some of the online balancing is not exactly fair.😝

Weird time for this release. Season 20 ends in 2 weeks but they haven’t announced 21 yet. They usually have a roadmap for a few seasons at a time.

I’m hoping my $2 didn’t jinx it and it’s over now.😂

Re: Video: Why All The Remakes, Nintendo?

Trying to single out Nintendo for this kind of misses the point completely, no?

Look at Sony and their past decade. They’re remastering and rereleasing games almost every Gen it feels like. Last of Us, God of War, Uncharted. Actually uncharted may have just been bundles.

Microsoft has Halo Evolved coming out and Gears of War.

How many console versions of Resident Evil 4 were there? Sure some were just ports but the game changed some as well.

Is there anything electronic Skyrim won’t play on?

Why are they all doing it? To make money and profit. Simple.

Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator is the type of game name I’d expect AI to come up with. 😂

Denshattack looks good but I preordered the physical copy of Splatoon Raiders last night so I’m good for now.

Didn’t vote in this week’s poll but I’m assuming that will win next weeks. Well if they’re back again.😉

I can understand why the Switch Lite is still selling well, it’s a cheaper little toy for goods and almost fits in your big pocket. But I don’t really understand why over 4,000 people a week just in Japan are spending all that money on an OLED over a year after the Switch 2 launched. Isn’t there a Swirch 2 Japan edition that’s almost the same price as the OLED?

I get you may like the screen better but that still seems like a lot of money just for a better screen over a year after the next gen launch.

I could be all wrong about the pricing though, I’m in the US, that’s all I know. Oh and Canada is cra cra expensive. And on fire. (I’m 100s of miles away and I can see it and breath it, and very much not in a good way.)
