Best thing, for me, about this bundle - it may make some people wait to buy a Switch 2 by pre-ordering this so I have a better chance of getting ours sooner. I'm in the US, yes they are still difficult to find. Well they are a bit easier to find but by the time you press the order button at checkout it says out of stock. Happened yesterday.😩
If he hasn't played a computer game since Mario 64 he is nog going to do well in Clair Obscur. Unless he's the reason they updated easy mode to be even easier.
Don't know why he would need to buy a console though, surely he has a laptop or PC, gamer or not. Pretty sure he must be getting some scripts via email. Unless he's a phone only guy. They should have asked him more questions. Like, do you ever think your game will come to Switch 2 and if not why is NL writing about it?😉
While I appreciate a good title pun, I'm not sure it's worth the risk of bricking people's Switch 2 over. Maybe change "RANDOM" to "WARNING".
Tripped the fuse in my kitchen yesterday running the AC, microwave, and toaster at the same time on the same line. They're all fine after I flipped the circuit breaker back on but all 3 combined may cost less than the Switch 2. Is it really worth it?
Walmart had them in stock online for at least an hour last night. Amazon is doing "invitations". Seems like things are moving better than back in the Wii or PS5 days.
@HaNks "having the SW2 edition come late is a mistake"
Having Sonic racing come out months after Mario racing on Switch 2 is probably they're biggest mistake. BUT having Sonic racing come out on Switch while Mario racing is only on Switch 2 is smart. I'll call it a tie. What they lose in sales on a late Switch 2 physical they'll make up on Switch.
@Bizzyb Thanks. Also possible Sega has a deal w/ Nintendo. Or something. I suppose it can be a lot of things.
@AgentGuapo "Nintendo first party games often don’t need patches - because you know. Nintendo actually does quality control and beta tests their games - unlike literally everybody else."
You made that comment half an hour AFTER Nintendo announced a day 0 update for DK Bananza.😎
Glad to see a demo. I've never been good at rubbing my tummy and patting my head at the same time. 🤪
Putting the demo behind a paywall makes sense for this one. In case some of you missed the memo Nintendo is all about making money this gen, not being customer friendly. They are all in on the cash flow. Why do you think the system launched with MKW? Pay for the system. Pay for the game. Pay for the online. Pay for the camera. Pay for the extra controllers. I'm sure Donkey Kong Bananza was probably ready but that's a single player (yes it is) offline game. And a $30 amiibo.🤑
Haven't seen anyone mention this but maybe there's a reason the game is only $20 and so damed ugly. Maybe Nintendo is planning to sell a lot of colorful dlc skins like the Mii costumes in SSB, to "individualize our characters" or some such marketing BS. I think there will be new areanas later on like SPlatoon and ARMS for free but they gotta make money somewhere. $1.25 sticker sets could be a possibility. Or maybe they'll sell a season pass. Man I hate modern gaming.😩
Obviously haven't played this yet but I am expecting to like it more than Odyssey. The problem with Odyssey for me wasn't that it was bad, it's that it wasn't as good as Galaxy 1& 2. I kept waiting for Odyssey to have the creativity of the levels in Galaxy but it never did.
I don't think I'll like this more than Galaxy as a platformer, but throw in the story and the destruction and this could possibly become my favorite first party Nintendo game. Which is setting myself up for failure and disappointment I know, but that's how I feel so far. I've been waiting 20 years for a proper follow up to Jak & Daxter Precursor Legacy and I think this might be it.🤞
Still need a Switch 2 first though. This game was going to be my birthday present.😢
They look good to me. Some acting experience w/o being famous outside of the UK. "Renegade Nell" was really good but she isn't in it that much, I'm not 100% sure who she played but I think youngest sister. Who would have had a nice season 2 if the show continued.
Aa far as the hair, they are not going to make Link blonde and have him and Zelda look like brother and sister. Incest isn't a big family moving selling point. Unless someone can find these pictures in their IMDB profiles I'm going to say their "on set". Nobody dresses like that IRL in 2025.
Oh, and w/o a doubt Link is going to speak. Actual words, not gibberish. It's a movie, not a game.
Based on the cast I'm feeling this being very similar to "Eragon", but w/o the dragon. Movie wasn't bad, game was kinda trash.
Basically every 20 years the same movie releases for a new generation of teenagers to go out on dates. The Legend of Zelda will be that movie for this generation. And if you think it looks bad now, just imagine how it will look 20 years from now.😂
OK I'm going to end w/ Legend 1985. Probably the closest I'll find.
Excalibur 1981 is the first big fantasy movie of its time but I'm thinking too dark and adult for Zelda. Excalibur was made for adults (yeah I know hard to believe but different times) Zelda will be more family friendly.
3rdparty could be waiting for the install base to get bigger before releasing their games. I know Switch 2 is probably about 6mil now but that's split between several countries, and the East and West have different tastes. So if a company is thinking their game may only appeal in one location it may be best to wait.
Nothing saying I know anything, just a possibility.
I'm glad for all the comments noticing question 3 didn't mention physical, thought it just be my reading comprehension early in the morning.
So after taking this survey I think some of you are reading it backwards, from your own perspective, not theirs.
@MasterGraveheart wrote: "the fact that they're doing a survey means they realize that something is wrong with the Key Card system"
I don't think they realize anything is wrong. I think they did this survey in the hopes that gamers are OK w/ GKC so that they can do more games way, not less.
This isn't a survey Nintendo did to find out if they made a mistake, what company does that, it's a survey to find out if they can save themselves more money by making all physical games GKC.
@KoopaTheGamer It is important that the game can run on the hardware it's targeting, but controllers have nothing to do with that. How many people do you know who game on laptops and PCs? How many people do you know who bought their laptop or PC bundled with a computer? I've purchased a lot of PCs and laptops over the past 30 years, both for myself and others, and not once did any of them come with a controller. And I did a lot of gaming on most of those, and my kid's as well, with a controller.
Controllers for mobile gaming are a thing. And Bluetooth controllers are a thing, I use my PS5 controller on my iPad cast to my TV.
Here's an article from 5 years ago in June 2020 about available gaming controllers for mobile. At this point if you're making a game on mobile w/o controller support, well what kind of "game" is it really? 🤷♂️ I suppose to be fair to Nintendo MK Tour is pre2020 but they should have added it by now. 😝
@Xansies I haven't seen enough of MKW to say it couldn't run on Switch but I'm guessing the open world aspect would be a problem. Same for the destructive environment in DKB, I think k the rest of the game could run, barely, on Switch.
You're right about it looking ready to stop at times on Switch 2 as well but I'm hoping I'm having enough fun playing it that I don't care. 😁
I can't imagine those fully destructive environments running on Switch at any resolution or frame rate.
I feel like it's possible the rest of the game could run on Switch if you took out destroying everything but that's not what the article says about the voxels so what do I know. But it's been 8 years since Mario Odyssey so they've obviously been working on it for a very long time for a video game.
@KoopaTheGamer Mobile games need controllers b/c mobile games are games and games need controllers. There's a reason we've moved on from the 1 button Pong stick. Not saying mobile games need the touchscreen turned off, certain activities like inventory management and menu navigation can work well with a touchscreen. But that's not playing a game. Social media works well with a touchscreen as well, but it's not playing a game. 🤷♂️
Haven't got a Switch 2 yet, though I did get my early register email from Nintendo yesterday so I have until Saturday to order 1, but I always worried about internet speeds. Though not about the Switch 2vitself, but Nintendo server speeds, which have always crawled compared to to Sony and Steam. So getting fast Wifi is optimal, but having their servers work, b/c what else are we using the Switch 2 for, was always my concern.
I forgot the dock had an ethernet port. I'll assume it's 1,000 in 2025 and Nintendo didn't cheap out for 100. I stopped using wired for Switch w/ my adapter b/c the official adapter, leftover from the Wii days, was only 10. Yes 10.😝
I'm guessing the Switch 2vis Wifi 6 but most people's home routers are wifi5 so I'm not blaming this all on Nintendo. A lot of connected parts to get Wifi up to speed - ISP speed, home router speed, Switch 2 speed - and things don't always work out great. My ISP is 300, so if I can get 300ish like a few people here that's fine by me. Our phones and tablets tend to max out around 150.
@westman98 Update has a link, looks like NBA 2K26 us still coming to "last gen".
Q: What platforms will I be able to purchase NBA 2K26 on? A: NBA 2K26 will be available for purchase on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation®4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and Steam for PC.
Downloading it now b/c who knows when I'll get a Switch 2. And Hello Kitty Island Adventure worked well casting from my iPad to my TV and using my PS5 controller, so if this works the same, well that works for me.
Edit:
The good: Looks great on my 75" 4k TV cast from my iPad.
The bad: Nintendo, of all companies, sucks at making video games. There is no controller support in this game, after 6 years on the market. With all the controllers in the world currently available for mobile games what kind of incompetent nitwits don't have optional controller support in their game? Bunch of bozos.🤪
@progx Thanks.I play a few online multi-player games these days - Fortnite, Disney Speedstorm, Infinity Nikki - but I haven't spent any money on them so when they do shut down I can't really be offended.
For someone who spends like $100 on a new year of Destiny 2 content, well if that goes under before the year is up, people are owed something.
People spend $60 or $70 a year on games like MLB The Sjow, FIFA (or whatever) and Madden. I have no idea how long those games stay online but I'm guessing more than year? 🤷♂️
I'm not getting involved in gaming as I used to, I'm too busy freaking out over Grok and the end of my country as I knew it. Too bad God said no more floods, I think we could use one on a planetary scale.😩
How many people are going to continue playing online only multi-player games single player after they go offline?
While I do think the industry lobbyists are distorting the point of the protesters I also think they are getting to the point of where this would be headed. Let's say all of these online only multi-player games don't get turned off. That you can keep starting those games and find yourself standing alone in an open field with nothing to do. How long are gamers going to be happy doing that before they want the devs to put in NPCs to give them something to do. And how long before the gamers complain that the NPCS suck so the devs need to let them go online.
It's a slippery slope. Do the 1.2 million people signing the protest even all agree on what they actually want?
I do think the publishers and devs owe their paying customers something. There should be a minimum time these paid games are kept active before being shut down or the money needs to be refunded like they did with Concord. But telling devs how to make the games isn't the answer, or we're just going to wind up in the same situation we're in now, w/ Sony making all of these failed online only games.
Consumer rights do need to be protected, but if you want a game to be something it isn't don't buy the fame or make it yourself. It's possible both sides of this 1 are wrong, but I do think consumers need to be protected from predatory companies, just maybe not in the way they'd like.🤷♂️
150 million does seem like a lot, but I think Nintendo can top Switch 1sales if:
The Switch 2 "family" lasts 8-10 years like Switch will.
Yes, Switch 2 is expensive now, but it's still the fastest selling gaming device of all-time. And we will get a cheaper Switch 2 Lite, almost a guarantee. And maybe Switch 2 Pro this time for real, which is like a Switch 3 but Nintendo doesn't feel like making any exclusive games for it when every 4k game can still run on Switch 2 in 1080p. And Switch 2 is so expensive that maybe Nintendo decides to make a Switch 2 Mini that only plays on a TV like the Wii Mini? And another more expensive Switch 2 OLED.
Nintendo controls when Switch 3 launches so they get to decide how many Switch 2 they sell. Which of course is dependent on the games. So I think they got a shot. Wouldn't bet on it though.
@Bass_X0 "functioning properly" <> "functioning as intended"
If Nintendo built a boat to sink, and the boat sank, as intended, would you say as a boat it was functioning properly? 🤷♂️
Nintendo should not be downloading games into our systems, with limited space, that we paid for, through a service we have to pay for, if we don't want to play those games. That isn't a functioning service, even if it is working as intended.
If someone pays for NSO+EP to play mostly GB games, and they only want to play 1 GameCube game, then 4 or 5 or 6 other FC games shouldn't be downloaded onto their system. That makes no sense.
@Rayquaza2510 "we are gamers that game on all systems, but mostly Nintendo and PC"
How many games are still available physically on PC that are able to play without playing them digitally? When you get your PC games physical do they play off of the disc or do you have to install them first? My kids game a lot on their laptops but neither even has a disc drive even if they wanted to buy physical games.
Game key cards are better than digital codes in several scenarios.
1. Borrowing from my library, where I get to play a lot of games for free. 2. Gifts b/c boxes are easier to wrap than codes. 3. Trading with friends. 4. Selling them.
Would having the game all on cart be better? Yes. Do all 3rd party games fit on 64GB carts? No. Is it better to have a game on Switch 2 on a key card as an option than only digital? Yes,for the 4 reasons stated above.
Nintendo is doing what the 3rd parties wanted, and also what some people would rather have than just digital. It's a win, the glass is more than half empty it half full, it's like 60% full.
I'm very happy to read a 3 hr play session seems to have barely scratched the surface. One of my big problems with Nintendo games, besides being full, price for 8 years w/o the Selects line, is most of them seem fairly short to me, especially for the money. Probably b/c Nintendo still makes a lot of 2D sidesrollers and there is only so much you can do with those. I still haven't played Astrobot yet b/c it's a 10-12 hour game for $50.
So if someone can play this for 3 hours and not say it felt like 1/3 done thats great to read.
I did play Odyssey for 60 hours, no complaints there, so this being a "spiritual successor" to that is great news.
Releasing 3 days before my birthday makes a great gift but still waiting on our Switch 2. US stock is still limited.
Just had to replace my new sink faucet that I bought on Amazon, bought my new one at Home Depot from one of their store brands. So buying things on Amazon does come with risks. 😩
Amazon did refund me a few $ than the price. And Target gave me $20 for canceling my Switch 2 preorder. Doing business with any company these days is basically - OK I know they are going to screw me over or mess this up, so how do I get fair compensation? Life requires a lawyer.🤑
Would have been weird to have a paid upgrade to a free-to-start game.
The game really is barely free to start now. Each new season is basically a demo. You can do all the races but w/ only 1 racer, most of the rest can no longer be unlocked, just purchased.
I will try out the Alice in Wonderland and Winnie the Pooh tracks though. They make some nice tracks that are fun to race for a bit.
@jsty3105 When someone says to you - You're wrong, boats and submarines are absolutely the same exact thing - I suppose it's hard not to come across as argumentative b/c at that point you are indeed arguing.😂
So how do you handle trying to explain something to people in a helpful way when it's really beginning to look like they don't want to be helped, they just want to argue? 🤷♂️
@Michael0916 "Switch 2 is a home console and a handheld"
Yes, the Switches are schrodinger gaming devices. They are both, and neither, home & handheld.
@theberrage "Are you saying that means it is not a handheld console?"
Refrigerators and ovens and dishwashers are all kitchen appliances, so according to your logic that means they are all the same thing so you can bake a chicken in your refrigerator.
Dogs, tigers, and elephants are all mammals, so that means they are the same thing. So good luck with your pet tiger and elephant, should be no problem for you since they're the same as a dog. 🙄
OK 1 last try then I'm out of here.
Xbox and PS5 are like big Ole tortoises. They sit there and don't move around much. Tortoise are reptiles. Switch Lite is like a snapper. Small and swimming around but it can't live out of the water b/c it's a fish. Switch are like frogs. They hop on land and swim in the water. Frogs are amphibians.
Reptiles, fish and amphibians are all animals, (just like PS5, Switch 2 and Switch Lite are all gaming devices) but reptiles, fish and amphibians are not all the same thing. Even reptiles and amphibians are not the same, though many young children may confuse the 2. Yes they can both go on land and go in the water, some snakes and turtles live in water, but that doesn't make them amphibians, those water dwelling animals are still reptiles.
Handheld consoles (w/o TV out) are like fish, they only play in the water. Fish. Home consoles are like Galapagos tortoise. Sure you can take it too a friend's house or hotel but you aren't playing it on the way. Reptile. Hybrid. Frogs. Play it in water, on land, while you move between the two. Amphibian.
Just b/c things can do some of the same things doesn't mean they are the same things, they are still different things. 🤷♂️
Sure I'll give the demo a go. Always wanted to play this one, reminded me of the kaiju killing force in Godzilla Final Wars, just never got around to it.
@Michael0916 "Switch 2 is not a fully fledged console. What features does it not have?"
Can you take a PS5 or Xbox Series X and play them on a car, train or plane? Can you take the Switch 2 and play them on any of those things?
It's not what the Switch 2 doesn't have, it's what the other 2 don't.
You can take a ride on the water in a boat or a submarine. Is a submarine a boat? You can take a ride in the sky in a plane or helicopter. Is a helicopter a plane?
The Switch or Switch 2 are not home consoles unless you think a helicopter is a plane and a submarine is a boat.
"NES did they sell and how many SNES? How many WiiU?"
I included years for you so you can see the steady decline in their home consoles, excluding Wii.
NES. 1983 61.91 million SNES. 1990 49.1 million Nintendo 64 1996 32.93 million GameCube 2001 21.74 million Wii U. 2012 13.56 million
handheld.
GBoy & Color 1989, 1998 118.69 million GBA. 2001 81.51 million DS. 2004 154.02 million 3DS. 2011 75.94 million
So Nintendo's worst selling handheld 3DS sold more than every one of their home consoles besides Wii. Switch has sold more b/c it's a portable with TV out so it was replacing both of their home and handheld consoles this gen.
@progx Real estate rentals and purchases are insane around here. My father in law is moving into a small apartment way out here on Long Island and it's considered "affordable housing" at $1,700 a month. I have a friend in Brooklyn who has a "rent stabilized" apartment he's been living in for like 20 years and I think he's still paying around $2,000 but when he moves out some day I'm sure it would be worth $3,000.
My kids are never moving out at this rate unless they get roommates. Or move far away. I don't see how it's sustainable.
@StewdaMegaManNerd Their sequel consoles were always bad, w/ the exception of Wii. Which is why they stopped making consoles after the Wii U and only make handhelds w/ TV out now. And the occasional handheld only Lite. And even their worst selling handheld 3DS is at like 80 million.
They probably could have launched their entire stock or 3 or 4 million JUST in Japan and still sold out. Or just in the US. They own the handheld market. They ARE the handheld market. I'm not sure if every other handheld combined has outseld Switch 2 in its first few weeks. 🤷♂️
If they had decided to make Switch 2 a home console only only, no,portability, then yeah, 3.5 million would have been more than enough at launch. Maybe ever. But a handheld w/ a new Mario Kart? I don't know how many they could have sold at launch, but maybe 10 million by July b/c I think DK Bananza looks that good.
They sold 150 million Switch. Most consoles get new hardware generations every 5-6 years, it was 8 years for Switch. Mario Kart sold about 80 million copies or something ridiculous like that. We haven’t had a new console Mario Kart game in 10 years. The 8 yr old hardware replacement launched alongside a 10 yr old MK replacement.
They KNEW they weren’t meeting demand at launch w/ only about 3.5 million units available. Nothing they could do about that, but saying “We underestimated the demand” is kinda bs.
I've been arguing the guy running for mayor in NYC who's reportedly worth like $200k/yr isn't even upper class, that's the higher end of middle class these days, while others are calling him an elitest communist. Not exactly sure how that works but nothing makes sense these days. 🤷♂️
Not saying anyone should turn down $117k, it would be nice, and if you're a single lad buying a round for your mates down at the pub you're probably feeling like you hit the jackpot, but as a married adult w/ kids and a $400k mortgage that $117k is basically getting by. Which is better than not getting by, but as you said, it's like $40k 50 years ago. For most people it probably seems like more than it is. Well at least in a major Metropolitan area in the US.
Of course on the other hand I don't even know what you need $30m/yr for? Throwing your own Diddy freakoffs? 😂
Keep in mind about 1/3 of that goes to taxes. And the US is basically the last industrialized country on Earth w/o taxpayer universal Healthcare so that's a chunk as well.🤮
So what you are left with is about enough to send your kid to a private college for a year. If you have 2 kids that's 8 years of your life earning just enough to pay for education, so the college presidents can also have million $ salaries.
And then your kids will still have probably $40k each in college debt b/c that's basically all done behind the scenes, so they'll have to work another year just to pay that off, though in actuality they'll be paying that for 10 years b/c the bank presidents need their million $ salaries as well.
@neogyo The game is 3v3 online. I'm just looking for a tutorial to get a handle on the controls, so people know it ONLY works in mouse mode so if you don't like the mouse mode don't even bother. Then they can put a gameplay trailer at the end to show how much fun it is w/ friends. If you like mouse mode.
@romanista $20 seems to be the sweet spot. I have a whole bunch of people over on @Pushsquare trying to get me to buy a soccer game called Rematch and I don't even like soccer. And I have to admit $20 is a sweet spot for me, for as like you said Nintendo Selects or Player's Choice. We've had 8 years of Switch games priced at $60. And with all the dlc they're closer to $80 or even $100. For 8 year old games.
I just bought the Farmagia Collectors edition for $20, came with a nice art book and music CD. Basically the game was free. And it's like 6 months old.

So this article is only about:
Sales in the UK
Physical sales of a video game
So physical sales in the UK in 2025 vs physical sales in the UK in 2017, 8yrs ago, when digital sales were certainly much less prominent.
I think we've all wasted too much time on this already w/o even getting to the install base or summer vs fall release.

Am I reading this right, this game has 3 release dates? September on Switch, holiday digitally on Switch 2, 2026 physical on Switch 2?
Maybe they aren't worried about making more than a handful of the physical carts b/c people will already have it.🤷♂️
Will this game have paid dlc? If so, maybe they think that will make up for any money lost on the carts.
PS5 for me. If it has a September release it will already be on sale by the holidays this year.
Re: Nintendo Announces 'Global Jam' Demo Event For Switch 2 Online Members
Glad to see a demo. I've never been good at rubbing my tummy and patting my head at the same time. 🤪

Re: Nintendo Announces First Cast Members For The Legend Of Zelda Movie
Movie wasn't bad, game was kinda trash.
https://youtu.be/dZRHO0d9Nao?si=fWLJ8eNpsD-I5QkI
OK that looks horribly cheesy in 2025, maybe Willow?
OK Willow is cheesier, but no dragon, so closer.
https://youtu.be/TZFtUwAs0wk?si=p9YSlb3ofzKjJwyE
Basically every 20 years the same movie releases for a new generation of teenagers to go out on dates. The Legend of Zelda will be that movie for this generation. And if you think it looks bad now, just imagine how it will look 20 years from now.😂
OK I'm going to end w/ Legend 1985. Probably the closest I'll find.
https://youtu.be/w3ZWskwjHG4?si=I4hJ_irVryUDoCPz
Excalibur 1981 is the first big fantasy movie of its time but I'm thinking too dark and adult for Zelda. Excalibur was made for adults (yeah I know hard to believe but different times) Zelda will be more family friendly.
https://youtu.be/w3ZWskwjHG4?si=UqmIpSqPz_aFnmk6
Superman was good, go see that.
Re: Rumour: Major Third-Party Devs Reportedly Sitting On Multiple Switch 2 Announcements
Re: Nintendo Is Seeking Player Feedback On Game-Key Cards In Japan
That's how I interpret it anyway.
Re: Mario Kart Tour Grants Access To A Track Unplayable Anywhere Else
https://www.sportskeeda.com/esports/best-mobile-game-controllers-2020
Re: Donkey Kong Bananza, Like Mario Kart World, Was Initially Planned For Switch 1
Re: Donkey Kong Bananza, Like Mario Kart World, Was Initially Planned For Switch 1
Re: Mario Kart Tour Grants Access To A Track Unplayable Anywhere Else
@KoopaTheGamer Mobile games need controllers b/c mobile games are games and games need controllers. There's a reason we've moved on from the 1 button Pong stick. Not saying mobile games need the touchscreen turned off, certain activities like inventory management and menu navigation can work well with a touchscreen. But that's not playing a game. Social media works well with a touchscreen as well, but it's not playing a game. 🤷♂️
Re: Poll: How Are Your Download Speeds On Switch 2?
Re: NBA 2K26 Shoots Some Hoops On Switch 2 In September
@westman98 Update has a link, looks like NBA 2K26 us still coming to "last gen".
Q: What platforms will I be able to purchase NBA 2K26 on?
A: NBA 2K26 will be available for purchase on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation®4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and Steam for PC.
Re: Mario Kart Tour Grants Access To A Track Unplayable Anywhere Else
Re: "It Will Have A Chilling Effect On Game Design" - EU Group Responds To 'Stop Killing Games'
Re: "It Will Have A Chilling Effect On Game Design" - EU Group Responds To 'Stop Killing Games'
It's possible both sides of this 1 are wrong, but I do think consumers need to be protected from predatory companies, just maybe not in the way they'd like.🤷♂️
Re: Switch Port Specialist Believes Switch 2 Can Surpass Its Predecessor's Success

Re: Talking Point: With Bigger GameCube File Sizes, Should Nintendo Let Us Download Individual NSO Games?
Re: Talking Point: With Bigger GameCube File Sizes, Should Nintendo Let Us Download Individual NSO Games?
So if I'm reading this correctly the poll boils down too -
Do you want the NSO + Expansion Pack subscription service you pay $50 per year for to function properly?
1. Yes.
2. No.
Re: Furukawa's Defence Of Game-Key Cards Ain't All That Convincing
Re: Furukawa's Defence Of Game-Key Cards Ain't All That Convincing
What hobbies are all the "gamers" taking up next gen when all gaming is digital only?
Maybe Nintendo Life should do a poll? 🤷♂️
Re: Preview: Donkey Kong Bananza - DK's Getting His Own Odyssey, And It's A Helluva Trip
Re: Nintendo Reportedly Pulled Amazon US' Switch 2 Sales After Beef Over "Unauthorised" Sellers
Just had to replace my new sink faucet that I bought on Amazon, bought my new one at Home Depot from one of their store brands. So buying things on Amazon does come with risks. 😩
https://www.cpsc.gov/Newsroom/News-Releases/2025/CPSC-Warns-Consumers-to-Immediately-Stop-Using-Certain-Chinese-Made-Faucets-Sold-on-Amazon-com-Due-to-Dangerous-Lead-Exposure-for-Infants-Young-Children-and-Pregnant-Women
Amazon did refund me a few $ than the price. And Target gave me $20 for canceling my Switch 2 preorder. Doing business with any company these days is basically - OK I know they are going to screw me over or mess this up, so how do I get fair compensation? Life requires a lawyer.🤑
Re: Disney Speedstorm Is Getting A Free Switch 2 Upgrade
"is getting a free Switch 2 upgrade."
Re: Nintendo's President Apologises For Not Being Able To Meet Switch 2 Demand
@jsty3105 When someone says to you - You're wrong, boats and submarines are absolutely the same exact thing - I suppose it's hard not to come across as argumentative b/c at that point you are indeed arguing.😂
So how do you handle trying to explain something to people in a helpful way when it's really beginning to look like they don't want to be helped, they just want to argue? 🤷♂️
Re: Nintendo's President Apologises For Not Being Able To Meet Switch 2 Demand
@RogerFederer Are you readlly world famous tennis player Roger Federer? Is so, honor to make your acquaintance sir.
If not, why don't you stop pretending you're someone you're not so you can stop pretending you're better than everyone else. 🤷♂️
Re: Nintendo's President Apologises For Not Being Able To Meet Switch 2 Demand
Re: Freedom Wars Remastered Demo Now Available On Switch eShop
Sure I'll give the demo a go. Always wanted to play this one, reminded me of the kaiju killing force in Godzilla Final Wars, just never got around to it.
Re: Nintendo's President Apologises For Not Being Able To Meet Switch 2 Demand
NES. 1983 61.91 million
SNES. 1990 49.1 million
Nintendo 64 1996 32.93 million
GameCube 2001 21.74 million
Wii U. 2012 13.56 million
handheld.
GBoy & Color 1989, 1998 118.69 million
GBA. 2001 81.51 million
DS. 2004 154.02 million
3DS. 2011 75.94 million
So Nintendo's worst selling handheld 3DS sold more than every one of their home consoles besides Wii.
Switch has sold more b/c it's a portable with TV out so it was replacing both of their home and handheld consoles this gen.

Re: EA Worker Pay Continues To Dwindle As CEO Picks Up $5 Million Bonus, Thus Creating Amusingly Tall Financial Graph
Re: Nintendo's President Apologises For Not Being Able To Meet Switch 2 Demand
@RasandeRose And both the PS4 and PS5 sold well at launch after all those years.
I don't follow Xbox sales b/c it's too difficult when MS won't release the numbers.
Re: EA Worker Pay Continues To Dwindle As CEO Picks Up $5 Million Bonus, Thus Creating Amusingly Tall Financial Graph
@progx "Rent for a tiny apartment could run you $2000 per month minimum."
You mean your share of your rent when you split an apartment w/ 2 other people would be $2k. 🤑

Re: Nintendo's President Apologises For Not Being Able To Meet Switch 2 Demand
Re: Nintendo's President Apologises For Not Being Able To Meet Switch 2 Demand
They sold 150 million Switch.
Most consoles get new hardware generations every 5-6 years, it was 8 years for Switch.
Mario Kart sold about 80 million copies or something ridiculous like that.
We haven’t had a new console Mario Kart game in 10 years.
The 8 yr old hardware replacement launched alongside a 10 yr old MK replacement.
They KNEW they weren’t meeting demand at launch w/ only about 3.5 million units available.
Nothing they could do about that, but saying “We underestimated the demand” is kinda bs.
Re: EA Worker Pay Continues To Dwindle As CEO Picks Up $5 Million Bonus, Thus Creating Amusingly Tall Financial Graph
@progx And NY. Gotta represent. 😎
Re: EA Worker Pay Continues To Dwindle As CEO Picks Up $5 Million Bonus, Thus Creating Amusingly Tall Financial Graph
For the "I'd take $117k in a heartbeat" crowd.
Keep in mind about 1/3 of that goes to taxes. And the US is basically the last industrialized country on Earth w/o taxpayer universal Healthcare so that's a chunk as well.🤮
So what you are left with is about enough to send your kid to a private college for a year. If you have 2 kids that's 8 years of your life earning just enough to pay for education, so the college presidents can also have million $ salaries.
https://www.bankrate.com/loans/student-loans/average-cost-of-college/
And then your kids will still have probably $40k each in college debt b/c that's basically all done behind the scenes, so they'll have to work another year just to pay that off, though in actuality they'll be paying that for 10 years b/c the bank presidents need their million $ salaries as well.
https://www.bestcolleges.com/research/average-student-loan-debt/
It isn't EA, it's capitalism after the class war is over and the rich won. 🤑
Re: Drag X Drive Switch 2 eShop Price Revealed
@neogyo The game is 3v3 online. I'm just looking for a tutorial to get a handle on the controls, so people know it ONLY works in mouse mode so if you don't like the mouse mode don't even bother. Then they can put a gameplay trailer at the end to show how much fun it is w/ friends. If you like mouse mode.
Re: Drag X Drive Switch 2 eShop Price Revealed
