I, too, just got the Rokid a couple weeks ago. I’ve tested Dragon’s Dogma, MH:Rise, Groove Coaster, and Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. It was GREAT playing Ace Attorney in bed laying down. It was decent playing Dragon’s Dogma. But it was rather dizzying trying to play MH: Rise and Groove Coaster.
I was not all that excited overall; but Ghost Trick was definitely a pleasant shock. Baten Kaitos was unexpected, but I’m NOT playing either of those again. The thing I’m probably most excited for is the return of Zelda Oracle of Ages and Seasons coming to GB NSO, which of course didn’t come with the GB/A NSO Release. I’m also surprised they didn’t nudge a reminder that Hogwarts Legacy is coming out in July.
I gotta catch up before the 7th already. Took too long of a hiatus, but I got some good armor upgrades and create new good builds. I think finding those is the bigger hassle. Once you have those your you weapon, it’s smooth sailing and back on track. I’d say they first day you jump back in after a while, allot yourself about an hour and a half to refresh your memory, and then you’ll be on your way again.
Yup. $1.99 on US eShop. I nabbed it quick. I don’t care for button controls though. Seemed to work nicely with touch on the demo, especially on my new OLED screen.
Definitely Crisis Core. I don’t care that Square is re-releasing/remaking/remastering things. I move past the ones I don’t care for, and get the ones I really want.
I like how people comment saying "it's such a waste of time to claim these games." It takes more time and effort to type up a comment here than it does for me to claim a free game. I literally claimed the first one while I was on the phone with a client this morning.
Loved loved LOVED this game on DS. Played it several times over in the past. Would definitely get it on Switch rereleased.
I don’t keep phones to play games. What happens when I move brands? What happens when the game isn’t updated to work on the modern hardware for that brand? I’m glad they port to phone/tablet, but I think quite a few (90’s and earlier) gamers hold on to games and consoles at this point. The only phone I would’ve ever kept for gaming purposes is the N-Gage. lol
Bought 1 when the physical was released on Switched, bought 2 the second day I was playing 1. Finished 1 in 4 days and immediately started 2. Beat 2 in a dew days. Preordered 3. Ready! Unless I get caught up on CrossCode…
@Mrkittyhead There was definitely buzz, and I, myself, was even excited pre-release. I just got a used physical and started playing; I’m ending chapter one, and I’m disappointed. I’m going to finish chapter 1… maybe try chapter 2, but if I’m still not enjoying it by the end of chapter 2, it’s going on the shelf. I do love the visuals/art style and the soundtrack, but there’s not much else for me. The Earth Born “game inside a game” wasn’t all that pleasant for me, and the dialogue draaaaags. I saw someone on Reddit make a post that said “Eastward is a walking sim,” and so far, I’m inclined to believe that. Edit: Ok, that might be a bit of an exaggeration.
Find gameplay streams if you can, I’d hate to have someone miss out on a game they could potentially love. However, for me, “this ain’t it.”
That’s certainly quite a bit of missing features for a $50 price point. There has still been nothing to make me ditch the regular joy-cons + (original) Satisfye grip.
@wuntyme8 lol. Sorry, but I’ve got to laugh at the neckholder, but also totally understand. I got one of those clips that you fasten to the pro controller, and the consoles atop the controller. Just so I can play in bed when I’m in a hotel for work.
@Miles_Edgeworth I understood what you meant. I’m trying so hard not to double-dip, as I preordered when the PC version was about to be released. This and Astral Chain are in that place where I wish I could feel that excitement re-playing it as when I first played.
@dil_power Exactly. LOZ actually had some nice Pokémon sets at one point. I’m not sure if people can still find those. And the little Japanese shopfronts! Beautiful! We all know Lego is quality, but I’ve seen creativity from lesser known brands. But nothing beats the NES Lego set… hehe.
@Patendo Likewise. Still on the fence here too. Every time someone says “oh the combat is great” and I go look at videos, I’m like “are they sure about that though.” Maybe they’ll put a demo out because that’s what I need. Otherwise I’m better off spending $60 on several games on my wishlist.
Well… I missed out on the first several already… but apparently I already have today’s game (Nonograms Prophecy)… Don’t judge me, I like nonograms/Picross!!
@Silly_G Yeah. I’ve played through twice, and then have gone back to play specific sequences. I try to space the play time out to give myself time to forget the puzzles. I wish I could mind zap to forget and play all over again.
Sunbreak has been a blast; as for difficulty, I can’t say it’s been hard - even when I just had base Rise endgame armor, but maybe I’ve honed my dual blade skills at the point of starting as well? Either way, I’ve unlocked my first MR level cap, and am helping a friend finish base game while both HR and MR are steadily increasing, and getting all my cool new elemental weapons, which, I’ve gotta say, there are some standouts.
I enjoyed RWBY up to what I watched in Vol 7. Grimm Eclipse was enjoyable for a time - I played it on PC when it first came out. I got excited for a second when I opened this article, but then, I saw the screenshots… I’m going to skip out on this one…
I just preordered the Sunbreak DLC, still need to buy Shredder’s revenge, and now this, and then the other drops. Good thing I can support this habit. Lol
@Browny I have to agree. Despite the graphics of the original release, I have enjoyed FFIX. I have yet to play through X and X-2, and am hoping to put X-2 at the top with IX.
However, this is a game I go back to on my (“customized”) Vita, and try to finish but never have. I am SUPER excited for this game to release. I’m just hoping for decent performance.
I think I’ll just stick to straight rhythm games for now. I have Soundfall, and I’m not too happy about the slight lag between rhythm and button input.
They’re ok. I thought about buying one, but then realized I could make one myself. On top of that, I was highly disappointed that they wouldn’t add LEDs to these. Why not make the shine in the night too?
