Well, it's felt like quite a hectic week here at Nintendo Life! The biggest news, of course, was the confirmation that Bayonetta 3 will finally be launching in October this year, along with the delightful surprise of a physical edition of the first game. To top it off, Platinum Games confirmed that you can toggle the game's naughtier bits on and off in the 'Naive Angel Mode', which is kind of an awesome name!
Elsewhere, the Sega Genesis Mini 2 was confirmed for North America, and Nintendo announced that it has acquired the visual production company 'Dynamo Pictures', with a view to enhance its video output for Nintendo IP. Finally, Kate has put together a wonderful list of books, films, and TV that pair perfectly with some of your favourite games; it's well worth checking out!
Now it's time to chill out and discuss our weekend gaming plans. A few members of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to give our entries a read and then join in with your own via our comment section. Enjoy!

So this weekend, I've decided it's about time I sit down and play through The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Besides Breath of the Wild, it's been yonks since I last played any of the 3D Zelda titles, so I'm a bit scared to go in and find that it's lost some of its lustre, but excited to dive back into Hyrule nonetheless.
Elsewhere, with the confirmation that Bayonetta 3 will be launching on October 28th, I've of course gone right back to the first game to catch myself up. It's still one of the greatest hack 'n' slash games of all time, without a doubt, and I can't wait to see where the story goes in the third entry.
Kate Gray, staff writer
I have so many new games I need to catch up on, but I bought Rune Factory 4 Special in the recent sale and I have been absolutely RINSING it. I didn't think I'd like it, for some reason??? But it's basically Fantasy Life + Harvest Moon, which is two things I ADORE. The bachelors aren't very interesting, but they never are. Sigh.
Also there's so much more story than a Harvest Moon, or even a Stardew Valley. I'm only halfway through Year One and it feels like I've almost finished the game, just because so much has happened!!
I'm also still working my way through Hollow Knight, but I won't say too much here because I need to save it for the Backlog Club essay!

It’s been a long few weeks and beyond polishing off Portal in a couple of evenings, making a little progress in Cuphead, and playing Pokémon Puzzle League for a few minutes to grab some screens, I haven’t played a huge amount of games. I did, however, buy a few – Umurangi Generation, and Spelunkys 1 and 2, of which I’ve spent only half an hour with Spelunky so far.
So, this weekend I intend to dip my toe into into the lot of them. Time permitting, I’d also love to tinker with the Everdrive 64 that’s been sitting proudly, provocatively on my desk for a few weeks now. It’s a beautiful thing and I’m dying to crack out the N64 and see what it can do.
Felix Sanchez, Video Producer
This weekend I have two games to finish: Mother 3 and Attack of the Friday Monsters. I’d been playing Witcher 3 prior to that the last MANY couples of weekends, but I can now say that I finally finished the game! Mother 3 has been great so far, such a great story, and I’m 17 hours in so far. Attack of the Friday Monsters is also really good, and it’s also really short, which is super appreciated after The Witcher 3!

I have put off playing the epilogue in Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition for as long as I could, time to dive in before the third installment arrives. I only recently made enough microSD space to install Neon White and I’m loving it so far. Will continue my Dimitri campaign in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes and grinding the rather excellent career mode on Wreckfest.
Game of the week is a bunch of them actually: Capcom Fighting Collection. Nostalgia is a powerful thing, playing these games is like meeting old friends… and more of them are coming around next week!

Vampire survivors on steam.
Fantastic weather here in the Uk. Gonna enjoy it. Have a great weekend Nintendolife
Got the platinum for God of War 4 last week and beat chains of olympus.
Replaying Infamous Second Son now while also playing a bit of Fortnite on my switch.
Gonna probably start God of War Ghost of Sparta and Forza Horizon 1 or 3 soon.
On playstation 5 I will be playing Martha is Dead, 2 hours in and it's been pretty good and definitely reccomend playing uncensored. I will also be starting Trails of cold steel 2, I hope this one is shorter than the first as I plan on completing the series before the end of next year on top of everything else that's coming out.
On switch Im going to complete xenoblade chronicles 2 this weekend ready for next game, currently on chapter 10 but still got so many quests to do it's getting tiresome. Once that's done I think il start Rune factory 5, was originally put off by the performance but so many have said it was a good game so il give it another go.
Finally finished EarthBound this morning. Quite a ride! Don’t want to start another ‘big’ game before my hols in just over a week, but might play a bit of mk8 deluxe or into the breach perhaps if I get time.
And try not to melt of course.
I'll be playing a little bit of the superb Shredders Revenge, getting started on Two Point Hospital and as usual playing lots of Rocket League.
@UltimateOtaku91
Yep you really should play Rune Factory 5. I had a very good time with it.
Still playing De Blob 2. Five missions left. The game seems to be better, than the first entry. Would definitely recommend both.
Halfway through Iconoclasts and Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth on Switch.
Loving both, great games.
Having a blast with Just Cause 3 on my PS4
I'm going to be playing Wreckfest all the weekend.
What a fun game! Highly recommended.
I played 3DS games in the morning. 😃
1. Yokai Watch 3 Tempura
2. Cooking Mama Sweet Shop
In the afternoon I continued my progress of Youtubers Life 2 PS4. 🙂
And I have reached Top 68 Youtubers and got 4800+ subscribers.
Still need more subscribers to reach the target 10,000 subscribers to continue the storyline.
Xenoblade 3 drops in 2 weeks thus I'm not starting anything new until then. Don't want to have to put it aside halfway through once XC3 drops.
As such, I've been going back to older games doing optional side content I hadn't done before to bridge the gap.
Omori can't stop playing, just finished facing off with mr jawsum and pluto, that was crazy! easy to deal with if you figured out jawsums method of fighting easiest to defeat with omori's release team attack.
I'm so drawn to this game.
I'm looking forward to xenoblade chronicles 3 and live a live. October will be one hell of a wallet destroyer, Will be waiting.
Possibly some more Chicory: A Colorful Tale, if I get the chance. It's really the only game I have going. It's starting to pick up, but I've had a hard time getting into gaming lately. I've been so hardcore into reading manga lately that it takes up 95% of my spare time (I'm currently hooked on those Berserk Deluxe Editions).
PS5: Nioh 1 - just completed the final ‘main mission’ from the last region, “The Demon King Revealed”. Got a few more side-missions and busy-work to finish off, as I’m determined to pop the platinum! Some of the side-missions left seem ridiculous and mainly made up of double-boss fights…. Where’s a good mimic tear when you need one?!
Nintendo Switch: MHR Sunbreak - loving this expansion and taking my time with it. In the midst of MR3 quests and have just upgraded from HR gear into some new MR Armor and weaponry. Tons of new QoL features and mechanics to wrap my head around, and definitely feeling the challenge - especially when solo’-ing monsters. Well up for multi-player if anyone is looking to team up 👍
I’m playing Luigi’s Mansion Remake on my 3ds
Horizon Forbidden West and Ghost of Tsushima on ps5
It’s been a while since I played on my switch due to not having a lot of time past weeks but I’ll try to restart breath of the wild again, I’ve been thinking about that game a lot recently
I’m also gonna play some online games like Mario kart and party
Pikmin 3 Deluxe and Letter Quest Remastered on Switch.
The latter game I've already obtained all achievements on the Steam version (about 5 days back), so of course I decided to double-dip and play the Switch version too. A surprisingly delightful puzzler.
As for the former, last time I took down the boss of Tropical Wilds, so will venture into Twilight River next.
Hoping for substantial amounts of Xenoblade flagship duo (two weeks until it's no longer a flagship duo!), RF5 and SR4, BotW and Immortals, The Outer Worlds and even some Skyrim - ploughing through a good bite of ESO content the other day (a chunk of Thieves Guild questline while ESO+ trial was active - wish they had aligned the latter with THIS weekend instead, though) has given me an itch for more Elder Scrolls in general (which also means potentially a bit more Morrowind, yes). Other prominent Switch itches and possibilities include Danganronpa, The Cruel King and Barbarous, Murder by Numbers and Bomber Crew on top of whatever combination of roguelites (I'm done with Neon Chrome, but there are so many more to keep digging away at - Children of Morta, Hades, Little Noah, Everspace, UnderMine)... AC2 or Ender Lilies may see a bit of action, too.
The rest of the dedicated hardware, in case I'll squeeze it in, will most likely see more Spirit of Justice (where I'm finally on the DLC stuff), Ever Oasis, Fire Emblem Echoes, Luigi's Mansion, God Eater, FFXIII and Witcher. I might even make a bit more progress in the VC/NSO playthroughs from Pokemon Gold to Zelda 2 and Yoshi's Island. As usual, it's an obscene lot, but enough of an obscene lot that even ticking off any small portion of it can make a nerd's weekend several times over.😆
Gonna Play burncycle, Yoku's Island Express and Pokemon Puzzle League
Same thing I've been playing every day for the past year: Genshin Impact. They just released the new summer event yesterday, so I want to play through that, get some Primogems, and pull for Klee (and maybe Kazuha).
But ah, I wish it would come to the Switch already. It's getting a bit frustrating playing on PC, because my wireless keyboards (I have two, one of them brand new) keep cutting out, even with fresh batteries.
And forget trying to play it on my iPhone 8, as the game will crash frequently. Also forget trying to play it on PS4, as I have to wait lengthy amounts of time for system and game updates before even playing the game.
Still working on Final Fantasy XIV, and of course more Capcom Fighting game collection, I have put a good close to 80 hours into that collection already. As for my visual novels, goimg to continue island and start corpse factory as I picked up Corpse factory this week, but barely touched it. May final start up Fire emblem three hopes. Also tempted to return to Dragon Quest 11 but not sure.
Got back into Bayonetta 2. Doing another play through of it.
Sniper Elite 5 on PS4. Massive visual upgrade and refined gameplay make it the best yet. Slay the Spire on Switch. Finally completed with first character and moved on to the next. Seems even harder because of the lack of HP regeneration between battles.
This weekend I will continue with Assassin's Creed 2 on the Switch and I will farm some gear and runes in Diablo 2 Resurrected again on the Switch!
Happy gaming everyone!!!
Finally starting Luigi's Mansion 3. Backlog is still priority before Bayonetta 3 arrives
I'm playing some Andro Dunos 2, wrapping up a game of Civilization VI and might get back to Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk some time today. I'll try to get in a session oe two of Ring Fit Adventure, but honestly I'm feeling extra lazy today, so no promises.
I also started reading the Lord of the Rings again, and I'll need to find some time for packing this weekend as we are going to Peru in one week.
@nhSnork let me know if you get further with murder by numbers. I've played the first hour and I'm really curious if it'll become more of a whodunnit!
Finishing up Amane's route in The Fruit of Grisaia and then finishing Corpse Factory.
Been on a real Resident Evil kick lately.
Beat 5 last night. Played it when it came out but quit about halfway in.
Starting Revelations 1 today which i haven't played since it released on Wii U. Remember really enjoying it
I'm chipping away at octopath traveler.
And I think I'll go ahead with the third chapter in Danganronpa 2! (Everyone keeps singing its praise, but the characters don't seem to grab me this time! The murder mysteries are top notch though! )
I’ve been playing Paper Mario nonstop every evening this week… it has honestly been worth the £35 subscription fee alone! Similar to Ollie, I plan on playing through Ocarina next (it’s been 11 years since I finished the 3D version), and then Bayonetta 1&2 for the first time in preparation for 3.
I was gonna play live a live, when it come out, but now I’m thinking I might push it back.
I’m playing a few games but the one that’s the most time consuming, demon souls! And I want to play xcom afterwards, and then cult of the lamb is next month! And I’m just as hyped if not more as live a live.
In short I’m playing dbd Genshin and demon souls
I just finished Final Fantasy XII a little bit ago, so I did it with two weeks to spare before Xenoblade 3! As such, I'm planning to just focus on shorter games in the meantime and to avoid any RPGs. I'm about to start Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water on my Switch, and I'll likely play some Limbo as well. It's going to be a spooky weekend on my Switch.
Elsewhere, once again, I need to get back to Spyro... I also started Ape Escape on my PS5, so that'll probably see some playtime as well.
I’ve completed the good/true route on Omori and I’ll do the hikikomori route sometime in the near future. Other than that I’m gunning to beat both Klonoa Door to Phantomile and Lunatea’s Veil on the Series X before Xenoblade 3 comes strolling on in.
This weekend will see a lot of Nintendo Switch Online action, as I’m looking to check out Pokemon Puzzle League. I’m also thinking of starting up Yoshi’s Story as well this weekend. As for this Sunday, the Starly community day event will be taking place in Pokemon Go.
I've played so much video games this year that I'm going to be playing ... Nothing most likely (minus a bit of ringfit).
Could use a bit of a break from games before xenoblade Chronicles 3 comes out.
Andro dunos 2 for the second weekend running absolutely love the game oh and trying out power wash simulator on game pass 😂
I'm deep into the end-/postgame of Octopath Traveler. In fact I finished all main stories and side quests. Some secrets aside I did everything except the final challenge. So here's my hope to finish the game this weekend to celebrate its birthday.
This week I will be mostly playing
Lego Skywalker Episode 2
Tetris Effect
Sonic Colours
Spreading myself way to thin! The switch is on the back burner this weekend till I finally polish off some other projects…
Final Fantasy XIII on Xbox
Assassins Creed Syndicate on Xbox
Persona 4 Golden on Vita
Trails in the Sky SC on Vita
No Mans Sky on Steam Deck
Fallout Frontier on Steam Deck
The Expanse Book 4 Ciobola Burn on the reading front!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge and Spidersaurs.
After taking a break after the 4th chapter (because DEAR GOD there was just too much to process), I'm going to finally start the 5th chapter of The Great Ace Attorney Resolve. I'm going to be distraught once it's all over but I must push on regardless. I guess you could call it a test of my..... resolve?
.........
.........I'll see myself out.
Apart from that though, I've been big into my puzzle games lately between Pokemon Puzzle League, Mean Bean Machine and Super Puyo Puyo 2 across all of the NSO apps so I'll definitely be playing more of those in addition to Pokemon Unite and Smash Ultimate for some online multiplayer action.
Witcher 3: Complete Edition - after getting it on sale for 29 bucks. I beat it on Xbox One a few years back and now playing on Switch in handheld mode & and it’s sooooo good. Incredible port.
I'm visiting family this weekend, but still hope to find some time for Klonoa, and maybe start First Time In Paris.
Having not finished it the first time around back in 2017, I started a brand new playthrough of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild last week. I’m currently 35 hours in and enjoying it even more the second time around, so that’s what I’ll be concentrating on this weekend.
Additionally, despite owning it since it launched on Switch, I’ve never actually played Bayonetta 2. So what with the announcement of an October release for the third instalment in the beloved series, I plan on finally getting around to playing it. Probably concurrently with BOTW while I’m away on my hols!
My game waffling ended last weekend when I finally popped in my SD Gundam: G Generation Genesis cartridge. Now I’ll be busily leveling up, evolving, and combining every Gundam, Zaku, and mobile armor known to humanity for the next month at least.
When the kiddos are around I’ll take off my otaku hat and we’ll play something co-op, or they’ll watch me get 2nd places in Fall Guys. 😅
Stay cool and have a fun weekend everyone!
Pretty much hooked on Fire Emblem Three Hopes, but also playing a bit of the GameCube Animal Crossing and Wii Sports Resort to balance all those fast, strategic battles
Still balancing Hollow Knight with Triangle Strategy. I beat the first pantheon!
Started my 2nd run of Three Hopes (Blue Lions route). Also looking forward to playing the Live A Live demo before the release
Wreckfest - the only game where I can drive almost exactly as I do in any other racing game but actually earn points for it...
oh... and probably Animal Crossing. If it weren't for this one game, I'd have played at least 10 hours each in most of the other games in my library...
I’m in bed with Covid this weekend so looking to play some RPGs and other handheld-friendly games. Trying out Breath of Fire on NSO at the moment and looking for other oldies that I’ve never tried before.
Wishing everyone a great weekend!
More of a focus on Xbox this weekend, there's some interesting stuff happening next week like the Hot Wheels DLC for Forza Horizon 5. On the Switch front, probably Switch Sports for a bit and maybe check out the Live a Live demo. Nintendo doesn't make announcements on weekends so it seems the 7-Eleven ad for MK8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass meant nothing after all.
For me, I’m playing Monster Hunter Rise / Sunbreak. I remember playing it last year and loving it, but I stopped after defeating Magnamalo, and subsequently deleted my save accidentally. What a mistake I made. I’m back at the game, taking my time with it because there’s no rush to get into Sunbreak, and enjoying every minute. I was unaware that the game doesn’t actually begin until after beating Magnamalo.
I’m still kind of confused on the weapon and amulet crafting systems. It’s overwhelming; and I’m not sure if you can upgrade your amulets, or if you have to continually craft more once you obtain better monster parts, and whether or not certain monster parts are better to use than others.
Regardless, I’m slowly figuring things out and I think that’s the beauty of a game like this. Once it clicks, man - there is no other game like it on the market. I’ve never been one of those people who can put hundreds of hours into a game, single player or multiplayer, but now I can see how it’s possible with Monster Hunter and I think I’m ready.
Edit: I did not realize that you are able to unlock Sunbreak via Gathering Hub quests. I’ve been doing nothing but Village quests, so this may take longer than expected. I’m hoping multiplayer isn’t a requirement considering I primarily play solo.
I’m also playing Bayonetta on the Switch in handheld mode. It’s my first time with the series, and it has always intrigued me since its original release but I never played it because I was busy with life. So far, it’s really great. Platinum Games know how to make games with incredible combat. Also, the story and characters are absolutely bonkers. I’m excited to play more to get myself ready for Bayonetta 3.
Ocarina of time would be great to revisit. I’ve been thinking more and more about subscribing, it, paper Mario, Mario 64, Fzero x, and Pokémon puzzle league we oils need great to pickup and play.
Vegging out on MH: Rise Sunbreak, as well as putting some hours into Little Noah.
I bought Spelunky 1 & 2 in the sale but tried 2 first and it is hard! First time playing either Spelunky game so getting used the the mechanics but loving it so far. Other than that may fit some slay the spire and new dicey dungeons update around a BBQ or two!! Stay cool everyone
I’m in a mad rush to complete Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition before XBC3 goes live.
I played XBC2 first and loved it, but got too distracted to play the original until this past week. I’m really enjoying it so far.
Unfortunately nothing for me this weekend. I'm on vacation with the family.
Hollow Knight, Sonic 3 and Knuckles (via Origins, obviously), and gonna finish a few more episodes in Lego DC Supervillians. Happy gaming!
@Grumblevolcano July 17th falls on a Tuesday. We should here something about it until then
My focus has been on Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak right now. Got to MR50 and boy does one furious boy hit hard. So much fun
Between the hunts I’ve been dabbling in Dark Souls Remastered on Switch & I am in love with this pre-Elden Ring portable iteration. Having 100 percented Elden Ring I’ve been dying to get back into FromSoftwares catalogue
Also gave Fire & Ice a shot on the NES app. Love the head scratching puzzles & I can see myself jumping in here and there. Pleasantly surprised
@BlackMayge
Monster Hunter series is definitely a unique gaming experience. You’re absolutely right, the game has many systems and gameplay mechanics to learn. Once it all clicks, it really opens up the game. The one recommendation I’d say is to not discount the multiplayer aspect. You can argue the game is at its peak when being enjoyed in multiplayer. Once your comfortable enough with the game definitely give it a try. It has a great community of gamers, you can really learn some things from other hunters. Good hunting to ya! Oh ya btw…Bayonetta is one of the finest action series you’ll ever play.
More Ys II: Final on PC, currently meandering around the Moat of Burnedbless. For a remastered game from the 80s, I'm having a ton of fun with it! Magic definitely adds a new spin to things compared to YS I: Omen. Especially since I can talk to demons as a Roo...before putting them out of their misery.
I'm also still diving in and out of Metroid Dread. I trashed my fifth E.M.M.I. unit last night, got trolled royally by the sixth (Seriously, screw the purple one....), picked up the pulse scan, and am now close to another boss fight going by a door I found.
Finally, a busy, rainy Sunday will be punctuated by sporadic bouts of Pokemon Go for Starly Community Day and a scheduled D&D one-shot in the late afternoon/evening.
Happy gaming!
@Gs69 I've fallen for Andro Duros 2 so hard it isn't even funny. It stands a chance of being my game of the year. So glad I discovered it.
This weekend:
FATAL FRAME V few more chapter to go!! After that maybe play some of my backlog like VALKYRIA CHRONICLE or NFS HOT PURSUIT
Well... I've only played games on PC with my best friend this week. We've played Roblox, Minecraft, and Team Fortress 2. I've put about 9 hours in TF2 and leveled up to the 4th level. That's all. Have a nice gaming weekend, everyone.
❗️I'm completing 'Streets Of Rage 4' with each character on Easy Difficultly because I'm a p🐱ssy and don't have the time to struggle through a Game when I have a huge backlog.
@OwenGamer22 July 17th is tomorrow (a Sunday).
I’m honestly not sure what I’ll play for single player. I think I’ll do a combination of yet another Super Mario Odyssey playthrough and a continuation of my Korok Seed hunt in Breath of the Wild. For multiplayer, one of my friends just got a Nintendo Switch with a few games, so we’ll all probably play some Smash Bros. Ultimate and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe together. Should be a pretty fun weekend!
Beat the Dragon Quest 5 PS2 version a few days ago, great game but I'm now a bit burned down on RPGs after that and wanted something shorter that I can just relax to so I decided to go for Apollo Justice: Ace Attourney which I recently got on my 3DS when all the series games were available for cheap. It's been years since I played the original trilogy and I guess for whatever reason I just never took the time what the games that come after are all about, I seem to recall hearing people cite this game as bit of a weak link within the series, but I dunno, I've been enjoying it just as much as any other game in the series so far, though I'm not a particularly smart person so maybe there's been some story inconsistenices or things not making sense or whatever that I'm just not seeing. Beat the 2nd case of the game last night. The sountrack has been awesome here so that seems to be something consistent within the series which is great.
I've also been kinda sorta been getting into Binding of Isaac Repentance once again, managed to score a few nice runs including a Hard mode run with the challenge character Blue Baby where I got the marks on the Boss Rush, Isaac, ???, Mega Stan & Delirium.
Have also been partaking in the Overwatch 2 Beta with my friend, it's fine, it's the same old Overwatch as far as I can tell but I'm not too hot on everyone's match stats like damage output and whatever being available to viewing for all players, I'm not used to FPS gameplay or PC controls in general and I lack a lot of the situational awareness and reflexes that a lot of others have built up for years so obviously I'm not gonna be as effective as some of the others so it kind of sucks to have people complaining all the time how my damage output blows when I'm just trying to play a casual game.
@Grumblevolcano Oh! Sorry bout that lol, I must have lost track of the days
Mostly 3DS at the moment...
Hey Pikmin - Fun, relaxing game
Hyrule Warriors Fun, but not a relaxing game
And for Switch, Mario 3d World
Sunbreak. Pretty much the only Switch game I've played since it released.
Playing AI The Somnium Files 2, Neon White and Eastward
@Rykdrew Yeah, I just finished watching Sonic 2 the movie, and I paired that with playing thru Sonic Mania for the first time. I'm on the Oil zone right now.
@thinkhector How cool! I discovered this game only recently. The movie also encouraged me to play.
I finished the game yesterday. But, this game is MUCH BIGGER than just "beat the last level".
There are 7 different endings (1 secret).
After I finished, new options appeared. Best of all, I can now choose which level to play. Thus, it is possible to find the 7 emeralds, simply entering and exiting the level. With that you can turn into super sonic.
When you manage to earn a lot of medals in the bonus stages, new game options open up. The best of them is called "debug mode". In it you can do crazy things in the game, like turning into coins, opening secret passages, "flying" through the scenario. I'm only able to do the achievements because of this debug mode.
I discovered today that the bonus stages (there are 32 stages) are as big a game as the main mode. If you take the blue balls, circling the middle balls, you turn the balls (red and blue) into rings. If you catch all the rings and also the blue balls, you get a gold medal. I'm trying to get the 32 gold medals. I think it will take me around 30 hours just doing this!
You can even unlock a Puyo-Puyo mode! There are MANY game modes by getting the bonus stage medals!
I haven't even had time to play in Encore mode with the extra characters.
This game has insane replay value!
I tried out a steam demo for Ex-Zodiac, a retro starfox/space harrier like game that seems pretty cool. I think its coming to switch at some point. Doing dailys in Sky:cotl and I brought Phantasy Star online for Gamecube recently so ill play a bit of that.
@JasmineDragon me too I have ordered an 8 bitdo arcade stick just waiting for it to arrive and Andro dunos 2 is the first game I’m gonna try it with
Mostly Xenoblade 2 after going back to it after 2 weeks or so
Mahjong by Microsoft (Android) - Working on dailies for the July medals.
Elements: Epic Heroes (Windows Phone) - Kinda stalled on this tbh...
Make It Rain: The Love of Money (Windows Phone) - Playing in bursts still.
WWE 2K22 (Xbox Series X) Continuing battling my son in GM Mode. I took Summerslam from him with my awesome main event but I may not be be in thr lead for long as he just signed The Undertaker.
Shredders Revenge (Xbox Series X) Still leaveling up Raph and Casey.
Diablo Immortal (Mobile) Still plugging away at this one when I can.
Dungeon and Dragons (Tabletop) Continuing with my groups trek across the fridge wastes of Eislecross can they make it to some ruins this week?
I finally finished OPUS: Echo of Starsong, and even though I found like 90% of the memories, I feel like I need to play it again to really GET what's going on. This time I'll do it in Japanese!
Klonoa - halfway through the first game and having a lot of fun.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land - Klonoa got me in a laid-back platformer mood so I decided I wanted to play some Kirb also.
The game of redownloading games - the recent sales made my splurge on a large microSD card. I'm looking forward to not having to constantly archive almost every game I own.
Hollow Knight - struggling my way to victory for the NintendoLife backlog club.
Super Mario Maker 2 - I can never stay away for too long even after 3 years.
Fall Guys - I'm still bad but it's still fun.
I’m weird, I’m playing a mix of WoW Classic, finish up my second playthrough of Metroid Dread, and exploring Horizon : Forbidden West
I’m only like 15 hours into Three Hopes (really enjoying it!), so I’ll be playing that for a while. Probably up until XC3 hits.
Hoping to find some time to try out The Show too. We’ll see.
I'm determined to finish League of Legend: Ruined King so I can feel less guilty about buying new games and free up space for said games.
Outside of that some Enter the Gungeon runs. Took about 22 hours for my first win, even if it didn't really count due to not killing the past. A bit more Hob: Definite Edition as I love the world they created with that and I bit the bullet and got AI: Somnium Files when it was $8 just because everyone said it's so good even if I always thought visual novels were dumb since there's not really much actual playing involved. Only 2 hours in but I like it well enough so far, voice acting is great in it and it has had some pretty funny writing.
Might try and finally finish Hollow Knight as well for backlog clubs sake.
I want to start Xenoblade Chronicles 2, but I’m still intimidated at the thought of another 100+ hour JRPG this year. So instead, I dipped back into Mario 3D World last night, and man was it a blast! Trying to clean up the stars and stamps I missed on the first go-around.
Still plugging away at Sonic Mania…currently in the Metallic Madness zone. After I roll credits, I’d like to play at least a couple levels with Knuckles, and then Mighty and Ray.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
Just Finished 100%ing KH: Melody Of Memory, so I'm probably going to switch my focus over to The ACNH DLC and Minecraft.
Death Stranding on Deck & OW2 Beta
I might play some Mario Kart 8 Deluxe while I wait for wave 2. I just want even a sneak peek of it, is that to much to ask Nintendo?
@Rykdrew That's good info! I knew there were at least two endings, but seven (+1)? That's crazy. I was only able to get there emeralds and I'm on the final boss now. I was trying to get all the spheres, and just ignored the rings. I thought the rings were for just an extra life. I had no idea about the gold rings.
I got the DLC too, but my guys are still trapped and I aren't playable yet.
Did you know that the Encore characters from the DLC were from a Japan exclusive arcade game? It was a 3 player co-op game, used trackballs for controls, and had the horrible name SegaSonic the HedgeHog. Never played it, but I heard it wasn't any good. Anyways, that's where Ray and Might come from.
Why are so many (including myself) playing Ocarina of Time at the moment? I like it a lot this time (didn`t notice before how good the 3ds- version really is), but it will never again be the one truly epic game it once was. On the switch I`m playing Neon White, although I´m way too slow for this game, and Lumines.
This weekend, I am gonna beat Mega Man 2. I'm gonna do it, I swear! I've been putting it off for weeks, and I'm so close to beating it. After that, I'll relax with Twilight Princess, one of my comfort games.
@neverbeentoiceland It seems like everyone has the urge to play it, including myself.
Theathrythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call on 3DS, I just love Final Fantasy music. Also playing Retro City Rampage on 3DS and my weekly work out on Ring Fit Adventure.
I have been on a hiatus from games for a while. Just got xenoblade 2, and am starting that up.
I've been continuing my journey through Monkey Island in anticipation for Return. As of now, I'm currently on Chapter 3 of Tales.
@d0nkeyk0ng_jR
Maybe we`re all anticipating that the next Zelda a) will come (relatively) soon, b) will probably be a lot like Ocarina (you gave us this world, now give us a story)!
And, of course, it`s great comfort -food for dark times (Britta is at least considering a blue streak, and I can`t sleep because of Covid).
I'm just about at the final dungeon of Archvale so hopefully I can knock that out today, and I've also been chipping away at OlliOlli World so probably more of that.
I've been doing a Level 1 Critical Mode playthrough of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. I just got past Xaldin, after almost 7 hours of fighting him again and again... and again and again and again...
Currently on the 3rd case of The Great Ace Attorney: Resolve and recently cleared the first case of Danganrompa: Trigger Happy Havoc, so will probably carry on with those.
I have been playing Hades, Ring Fit Adventure on Nintendo Switch, and Fall Guys of PS4 Pro. I also have been dabbling in Nintendo Switch Sports a little bit too. Overall, I have some good variety to keep me busy and having fun. Hope everyone else has a good weekend too.
Live A Live demo... Time's just to pressed for me.
Tropical Freeze. What a game! I am glad that the recent sale made me buy it. I now understand the accolades for that game.
After playing about 20 hours of Hot Wheels Unleashed, I have gone back to other racing games. Which is best? Grid, Need for Speed, Paradise City, Rush Rally 3? I guess I like them all in different ways.
Happy gaming everyone!
Worked all weekend, so no time to play. I'm really looking forward to play Stray on PS5 next Tuesday.
I was playing Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga and Crash Bandicoot 4 on PS4 and Tetris 99 on Switch
Finally found Metroid Dread at a price where I could justify picking it up, and I've put about an hour into that, but mostly I've been continuing my 2nd run of FE: Three Houses. I finished my first run with Golden Deer and am now doing Blue Lions. Demetri's a bit of a bummer, but otherwise no complaints yet.
Been playing Yoshi's Crafted World co-op with my daughter.
