Meh... I put the game on the shelf years ago, and still don’t plan to pick it back up… Did they even ever make the multiplayer mode for the game?

How did I ever miss this game?! But I’ll just buy it when it hits the Limited Run physical store up the street from me. Besides, I still need to go back and finish Cross Code, which seems a bit similar.

I went recently. The store is a bit small. The grand opening was abysmal, albeit technically a good turnout; so many people they had to do a grand opening part 2 on Sunday. They’re only open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. They were out of Unpacking (which I wanted), and there was a ton of Shantae stuff on the shelves. Retro stuff existed and was fairly affordable, which was cool.

Combat looks like it could be smooth. I’ve had this on my Steam Wishlist and never got around to buying it, so I might deck out the extra $$ to get it on Switch instead. I, too, think it has that Vanillaware flair to it, which has kept me interested in it.

I had been waiting on this to go on sale… now I might as well buy the NSO Expansion!!!

Honestly, a week to play a full-game (trial) isn’t all that bad. It’s enough for someone to know whether or not they’ll like the game. On top of this, based on precedence, the game will likely go on sale starting at the last few days of the trial period for some time. ( I want to say the sale went on until 10 days after the trial was over for MH:Rise US trial)

@RupeeClock Agreed. With a game like this, it’ll take longer than a week, but also if someone really enjoys it and the replayability, they’ll want to buy it.

These little trials may not be a selling point, but they are nice little bonuses. From personal perspective, I have disposable income to throw at games, but from the perspective of the typical household, others don’t have this luxury and are already spending money on NSO. This little added bonus gives someone the time to sit with a game for a week.
Keep in mind, AAA gamepass-style subs isn’t NSO’s selling point, it’s first party retro games, thus, you get NES/SNES through the base NSO. Again, these trials are nifty bonuses.

This is great, but I still be my Dragon’s Crown and Odin Sphere fix. 😭

@Lordplops Not one of these gives me even an inkling of consideration to dish money out for them, and I’ve been itching to spend money!

Preordered! But I got Scarlet Nexus on the cheap @ humble bundle, so I might hold off Kirby until I finish 1 of the 2 SN stories.

Couch co-op or online? That will be my definitions factor of purchase!

You know what could’ve been cool? A comeback of Paramore doing a rendition of “Escape From the City.” Might’ve been a shock, but probably a good shock.

@TR4KERZ Please please do! I have a friend of mine that’s been waiting for digital to go on 50% sale again, which will be quite a while. I know sometimes Nintendo does the “15% off” when they do the Nintendo Switch Online trials though. If you do dig it, I’d go for the physical if cartridge collection doesn’t bother you. Even though I got it for $21, it’s well worth $60.

That’s what I read somewhere. But I also heard you can install Windows on the Deck. Does that circumvent that incompatibility issue though?

How does PSO2:New Genesis and Tales of Arise play on it though?

The still screen caps definitely doesn’t do it Justice. Almost skipped the video and passed on it entirely. This looks like it could be up my alley.

I’ve been waiting for this game since I played the demo on Steam. Buried in games dues to sales from the past 2-3 months, but will get back around to it when it comes out physical.

@VIIIAxel Totally same. I got it on Steam some years ago. I think I finished the first and was like “…can I just have this on Switch?”

I don't care about difficulty of the game. My friend and I both bought this game; and regardless of it being considered a game or just entertainment, this game is fun in online co-op.

Sonic Breath of the Wild.

Looks pretty! I haven’t gotten a metroidvania since Bloodstained. And that game was… well, that game. On switch at least…

I’m still waiting on online co-op for Phantom Breaker: battlegrounds. Throw this game away and do that!

@BTB20 I might try it… or I might just wait until I see Dynasty Warriors 8 X go on sale. I buy them in several year increments; the last one being Hyrule Warriors rerelease (if you don’t count Persona Stirkers, otherwise that was the last).

Been waiting for this. Still trying to finish the lengthy log of Neo:TWEWY, YS IX, and GAA:Chronicles. So I can wait. But I’m so excited!

@IronMan30 The other Super Uber Digital Edition (the $80 version) almost always goes on sale when this one does. I tell people to look at that one if they ever plan to get ‘em on sale.

I skipped out in the NES Lego set, so I’ll probably get this and call it a therapy buy.

Last story of Great Ace Attorney 1, and starting on the second game if I don’t get engrossed with Kitaria Fables… which I’m still on the fence about.

Beat Neo:TWEWY, so on to the Great Ace Attorney finally!!! I bought those at the same exact time. I want No More Heroes 3, but by the time I’m done with Great Ace Attorney, it’ll be time for Eastward!
I still have a few chapters of Ys IX left, and haven’t started Cross Code at all still. Might even pop in Kingdoms of Amalur to finish the last story quest I had left.

I need to finish YS IX, Neo:TWEWY, and start playing Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and Cross Code. I wanted Dreascaper at a time, and remember playing the demo, but I’m too occupied at the moment. I also need to go back to Amalur to finish 1/3 of the main quest, and run through to beat more side quests.

Good! Because I played 4 hours of the first one on PC and I need this for Switch.

I’ll get it eventually. Until then, I’ll wait for Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme to go on sale, while I’m finishing YS IX and starting NEO:TWEWY prematurely.

Preordered Neo: TWEWY, ordering Great Ace Attorney today. My backlog will love me.

But honestly, if I have all this money for games, I can at least invest in a decent micro SD card. I also delete games I know I’m done with, and buy first party and personally highly anticipated games physical.

It was a nice, short little hack-n-slash. Definitely had some rough spots, mainly in handheld. Nothing to write home about, and glad I had gotten the first one on a steep sale. I may look at 2 once it’s on a steep sale itself depending on reviews.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox. Despite enjoying the game, I want to get through it kind of quick since Neo:TWEWY comes out the 27th… and so does The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles… and so does Samurai Warriors 5. Lol. Although Samurai Warriors is a maybe, the other 2 are definite buys: Neo preordered, and Ace Attorney an eventual buy.
I might have to play More Kingdoms of Amalur if I get too bored with Ys IX. I’ve got 1 more main quest and not too many more side quests, with over 80 completed quests total.

@RiasGremory Agreed! Bloodstained, I had to completely stop.

I already had it preordered, and noticed frame drops during the cutscenes and city parts immediately. The couple of battling/crawls seems ok though. I’m going to continue on unless there’s something that makes it utterly unplayable.

I grinded the DS version for pigs and higher drop rates because I wanted more. I can see myself picking this up for a quick fix after beating it, but time will tell.

As a big fan of the original in DS, I did love this but there were still a few conflicts with me. I’m glad they did stick with the art style, but with some things, like Fret’s hair, it seems the art style and the graphics clash a bit. I understand this has to be done to stay cohesive with the style from the first. The art does shine in other places in tandem with the graphics though.
I also understand the controls were optimized with console/controller in mind, but I wish there was something unique to the controls because, like someone else said, the controls have now become a little button-mashy. However that will make is easy to 5-chain grind to level up/evolve pins. I’ve already preordered and got like $10 off, and I don’t plan to cancel the preorder. I’m ready for the release!
