lol. What did I just watch?! I don’t know if there was anything even slightly interesting to me.

I don’t think I ever finished the first. It’s gotta be on my Switch still. Glad to hear the sequel scored well. I’ll have to dig in my backlog and finish the other so I can get this one.

I didn’t want another turn-based from them. That’s why I skipped out on the other 2 games. I was interested in this one because of the genre. I’m fine with waiting for a $3 sale price though.

I enjoyed this game a lot. I bought 2 copies at launch to play with a partner. Beat the main campaign alone on my farm, and helped my partner. I’ve never been the type to linger on games, but I’ve been breeding flowers and fruit trees to get all the colors and fruit. I also occasionally help other friends on their farm.

@CaleBoi25 it has local wireless and online co-op.

I got it physical several weeks ago from Best Buy on sale. Didn’t realize I had a $5 coupon in my Best Buy wallet, so got it for $25.

My mind’s telling me no, but my body -my booooddyyyyy’s - wait, it’s also saying no. I wish I could, but those visuals combined with the pace gives me anxiety just watching the video.

@ArcticEcho I can agree with the writing and music there. When I said cheesy, I didn’t mean it in a bad way. I think that was intentional anyway. I also enjoyed the music.

@smoreon Definitely grindey on ReBirth 1. And that’s another reason why I dropped it. Waifus, fan service; I put them in the same realm. One thing I noticed - and then a video I watched about it noted - that there are very very few male characters. And all the female dialogue avatars have “jiggle,” if you know what I mean.

It’s fan servicey. I’m glad someone gets to enjoy them, but I recall playing the first on Vita and draaaaagging through 8 hours, and then finally I was like “nope!” I remember thinking the concept was amazing when it first came out and had to go years without playing it after it was first released. The writing was cheesy; and unfortunately I have to disagree with the writing being enough to forget how torturous the dungeons are. If it was fun repetition I’d give it a pass, but it wasn’t (for me).

I think at the end of the day, the games you like from the series will depend on the repetition you enjoy. I preferred MT Blanc VS Zombies, Neptunia U Action Unleashed, and 4 Goddesses Online. I’d still have to same critiques, except it’s fun repetition for me.

I usually don’t wait on sales unless it’s a game people want me to play but I’m not that enthused. I haven’t played any pokemon title since the original gold/silver/crystal.

It’s not that bad of a service. I played and beat Kingdom Hearts III and played a few other games when I had it free for a month. This rumor is just tired at this point.

@Bigbear1up I thought I was the only one that played that game back in the day. Tommy looks like a straight up Bonk’s adventure sprite.

Even though I’ve played the all the first releases on DS (played through the original 3 twice each) and am playing through Ace Attorney Chronicles, this is exciting news! I’m willing to have all of them and replay them. Now just give me Investigations 2 (although I think I found a fan translation version some years ago).

It’s definitely giving me more Terraria vibes. Seems like it might be good for multiplayer… just got to get the crew on board. lol

“Tough as nails” and “rogue-like” tend to turn me off a little because of the hours I’m expected to put into it to progress, granted I’ve played some likable ones. I stopped playing Dead Cells rather quickly, as well as Hades. Little Noah was cute and wasn’t difficult, and I managed to beat it. And I’d say that was worth the short experience. The last game I put tons of hours into was Monster Hunter though.

This indeed does present well. Had it been something akin to The Messenger in progression (not mechanics or concept), I’d definitely be more likely to pick it up immediately. But maybe I’m just saying that because graphically and the speediness of gameplay remind me of The Messenger.

If you bought all of these on a sale digitally, it’d be a ton cheaper. Although I adore Donut County and Gorogoa, physical isn’t a necessity. Also, I’m surprised Maquette isn’t on here.

@Cikajovazmaj from what I saw in the demo, any sort of movement made things blurry. Not just a scene change, but if you’re in an area and move the camera ever so slightly, it would get blurry even then. If it was still, it looked gorgeous, but movement just muddied how it looked.

And due to that, I’m waiting on a patch, a steep sale, or getting it on PC later down the line.

@hippoeater I immediately noticed the weird graphics stuff. At first I thought maybe the blurring was intentional, but then noticed a slight lag in the character loading in the level up screen. I think I’m following suit and maybe buying it on Steam, and then maybe getting it on Switch later.

They just released Cocoon and then they do this? Lol. I’ve already got Donut County, Gorogoa - which both are great!! - I Am dead, which I remember enjoying alright, and Maquette. Maquette was meh I guess, since I never finished it.
Hindsight looks good and I wanted to try Sayonara Wild Hearts on Switch instead of Mobile phone; but between buying Silent Hope a few days ago, buying Fae Farm, buying another game on sale (Tangle Tower), another game going on sale that I may have to buy (Tesla vs. Lovecraft), and possibly buying Far Farm again so my partner can help manage my Farm, I may sit this one out.

I was considering Silent Hope, but it’s a “rogue-lite” described game, so I don’t know.
Also, with the surprise of sight of Cocoon, I may pick that up to balance out the heftiness of tasks in Fae Farm.

@Vexx234 Very much that, simply put! I was excited for this game when it came out; it looked so beautiful! Still is. But with that, I played however many hours (less than 8), put it back in the game case, and it has been shelved since. I don’t plan on trying my hand at it again. Thank goodness I got it on sale.

@GooseLoose1, exactly. I had to refer to Google again, but pulled up many of reviews that start out with “this action-adventure…”
Seems more like an animated visual novel, but even with that, I’d rather replay any of the Phoenix Wright games before trying to play this again.

With all of this being said, games will be criticized. Not every game is for everyone, and this one just isn’t for me (and others).

Trials are meant to trial the game, and with all the above criticism from users, no one is telling people don’t try it. Try it; it might be for you, it might not.

Yeeeeah. I had been waiting on the online feature to be added to the original release for yeeeeaaars. Although I’m glad they are giving us that, I’m disappointed that they’re basically making a rerelease of something they should’ve just added to the original. Nonetheless, I’m glad I never bought it on Switch. At the same time, my cousin will have to buy the “Ultimate” version just to play online with me, and she loses her progress. Hopefully they’ll make something like an add-on or DLC to turn the original into the Ultimate.

Edit: Also, they never even released Ogre Tale on the Switch like they were supposed to! Maybe that’s a MAGES thing though. Noticed this didn’t have MAGES’s sig in it anywhere in the video, unless I missed it.

Second edit: I guess I never knew Rocket Panda acquired the Phantom Breaker IP from MAGES back in mid-2022. That may explain this “Ultimate” release.

I still have the first on my wishlist. Maybe they’ll bring a sale on the first to help get sales for the second.

I’m itching to buy it, but bought too many other games that were on sale, and I plan on FaeFarm in September. I’ll wait for physical, or a sale…
I’ll listen to the soundtrack online until purchase.

@Chibi_Manny I was also confused by daruto. I wasn’t sure if that was a typo either, then realized it was supposed to be a funny. Leave it to a Japanese speaker to be like, “oooh it’s supposed deito or deruto, like date.”

I thought I was getting it day 1. No reviews yet… and for that price, I might wait for even the tiniest sale.

Definitely more combat focused. But in terms of fun, cozy combat (it doesn’t have to be deep) I wasn’t sure if Harvestella would still be recommended for me. I was reading up on the magic in RF 4/5 too, and it could be a bit fun.

Now that this is being released, I seriously need help! I wasn’t sure if I should play one of the RF games, or Harvestella. I want some fun combat, and I can live with very general farming. I played Stardew, and although fun, not really combat-y. I played Kitaria Fables and it was just ok overall.

I’ve never had joycon drift… oddly enough, in the past year I got an issue on my original 2018 right analog stick where pushing in the stick was not possible, which in turn made it drift. I fixed it with Guli and it’s been great so far since. I can feel the difference of the grip on the stick, but I fixed that with the supply of analog grips I have for joycons.

When I first saw the article banner I thought, “…Roxas… and Ursula!?” lol. Nonetheless, I hope this tickles someone’s fancy, but I don’t think this is for me. If someone has already played this, do tell how it was.

I liked this game a lot, however I was one of those lefties, and god I was annoyed at having to use face buttons. I would love to see a port that is more leftie friendly for sure. I ended up somehow losing the game (I think someone stole it) but I still have the game case.

This looks interesting, but could also be a dud. Although, I’m tempted to just buy it in Japanese. I never played Crystar mainly because of barren maps and single button combat. But if Crymachina can give me a little style, flair, and mandatory dodging in the combat, it’ll suffice.

I don’t play games because they’re brutal; Cuphead was never in my wheelhouse. This looks interesting to me, and if it’s something that indeed isn’t as difficult, I might be able to play it with my partners. Otherwise, I’m stuck playing it alone.

Just beat Diablo 4 main campaign, so about to grind for legendaries in higher Tiers. Bought Flynn: Son of Crimson on Sale. Still have We Love Katamari to play more, but I don’t want to rush that game. I’ll play it for years to come until the next remaster release. I’m trying not to buy Ghost Trick since I have it on DS, but it looks sooo good. I’m trying not to buy anything else on sale because I want The Lara Croft Collection when it comes out at the end of the month.

Been playing this game as a cozy in between Diablo 4. It spaces out the action. Glad it finally came out, as I was repeating levels on the original KD Reroll.

They did this on purpose. They knew people would get mad. You’ll be more excited when they actually release whatever the Jet Set Surprise is.

Looking up more screenshots, they have a sign that references flat earthers in a stage! They really pulled no punches. With the “flag-waving” references, I’m curious to know the presence of the “Neos” in Brazil, or if that is moreso an American reference.

I was thinking the same thing! A friend of mine and I were talking about this. There’s even a list out there showing the list of what was disguised for each episode of season 1. Possibly the others.
Nonetheless, I honestly don’t know how I feel about this new season/reboot or game.

Actually just made a preorder. Almost did GameStop’s Buy 2 Get one free and bought the Megaman Legacy X collection along with it but decided not to since I still need to preorder Trinity Trigger.

I tried the demo on Steam and couldn’t get past 15 minutes. Didn’t even get to combat. The art style is lovely… until it’s put into motion.
