Re: Mini Review: The Almost Gone - An Abstract Experience You Won't Be Able To Put Down

Got this game on launch. LOVED it! I couldn’t put it down, but then realized I finished on my 3rd sit-down session with it. I actually plan on replaying it with headphones on or docked with my sound system, because the sound is definitely an important part of immersion.

Also for those currently playing it or buying it soon, until they patch it be aware of a bug in a specific part of the game. You’ll know it when you reach it.

Oh my gosh. Elemental Knights R is on sale for .75 ¢ . I got it and I don’t see how they got people to pay the original $22 for it!

... also got Remilore on sale, and probably going to bust out some multiplayer Slayin 2, Smash, Diablo, maybe even Tales of Vesperia or Bleed 2; something to playing with the cousins while visiting family.

I really want to play Wonderful 101 - I’ve wanted to since Wii U - but I’ve heard too many bad things that I don’t think they deserve my full $40. So I’m going to try to hold my money. Phantasy Star Online 2 US finally releases This coming week, so that’ll take a lot of time up after the 26th.

Re: Ninjala Is Getting A Physical Edition Release In Japan

I love buying certain games physical; but at this point @Rpg-lover , even if this game had an offline/story mode, unless they create an updated version of the physical edition for the west, the story mode data would be in storage anyway as opposed to on the cartridge. I see this physical game as just for collection purposes.

I'll probably try this game a few days and delete it anyway.

Re: Slayin 2 Will Bring "The World's First Endless Action RPG" Exclusively To Switch Next Week

As someone that played Slayin’ 1 for free, it was good for what it was, and it was definitely one of those games I could pick up if I didn’t have my Switch on me. This is definitely a significant improvement over the first, and I actually had my eyes peeled on the sequel at one point. With a ~$8 price point, I’d be happy to spend that Day 1. It’d be a nice break game in between Tales of Vesperia sessions.

I have too many backlogged games I need to go back and beat. Gigawrecker, at least one installment in the Megaman Zero / Z/X legacy collection, Astral Chain, Cadence of Hyrule. I need to beat at least 2 before I decide to get Trials of Mana or get Tales of Vespiria on its next sale. And need to beat at least 3 before Phantasy Star Online 2 US PC is released.

Re: "Ninja Gum Action" Title Ninjala Sure Does Remind Us Of Splatoon

@playstation_king
Warframe was hella grindey without micro transactions.
Fortnite...meh
A friend of mine said he got bored with Apex legends fairly quickly.
But we all have different tastes. And we all have different expectations of different games.

My opinion of this is there will be several f2p games out soon for me: PSO2, Blue Protocol, Genshin Impact, etc. I might try it if others are a letdown.

Re: Nintendo Says It's Focused On "Initiatives" To Keep Consumers Playing

There are enough games being released for me to buy a game of a different genre than what I’m playing at any given time. Paying for add-on content for a game I own works for me when the game release and content release are significantly farther apart, and I’m itching to play that genre Later on. For example, Splatoon 2 was good, and I’ve had it for almost a year. I may get Octo Expansion soon once on sale again as I’ve stopped playing for several months am ready for Playing that again. I’m also partial to story and salmon run on there though.

Re: Reminder: You Can Now Purchase Smash Bros. Ultimate's Second Fighters Pass

geo-shifter

just like @RobotReptile I bought the first fighter pass out of faith. I feel disappointed more than satisfied with that roster.
I also don’t know how I feel about buying this next fighter pass to have spent a grand total of $115 on Smash. I’m not broke by any means, but the next $30 can be used elsewhere. Let’s see what they have for the first 2 characters...

Re: QubicGames Is Giving Away 10 Free Nintendo Switch Games: Today's Game Is One Strike

geo-shifter

@TechaNinja What typically happens is Nintendo will send me an email letting me know that a wishlist item is on sale, like how Steam does it. I haven’t paid attention to the time stamps for when these have happened, and haven gotten one for any Qubic games... mainly because I already had Geki Yaba and One Strike, and I got puzzle book first thing the morning of its free download.

I’ve bought too many games since Black Friday. Beat Double Cross Friday night, playing Galaxy Champions TV, tried Robonauts since it was free, attempted Dauntless and decided it was a no-go, bought Shovel Knight Treasure Trove before the price hike, bought Hover while it had a big price cut, got Terrorhythm and Cadence of Hyrule on sale. Played a bit of all of this Friday and Saturday so far. Mug get play some Diablo and Astral Chain Sunday.
