@Patendo good luck. I was thinking “maybe they’ll bring Smash TV to SNES Online,” but idk anymore. I have wishful thinking for it, but no hope.
If this is somehow better than Iron Crypticle, I might get it.
I was telling someone on Reddit that I have one I got as free company schwag 4 years ago. I've used it on my Switch for Splatoon 2 banner painting, my smartphones, and tablet. It's still alive and kickin'. Unless there's a capacitive stylus with ultra-precision, I won't be buying it.
I want to want to buy it, but I don't know. The fact that it's not permadeath is a big plus. I'm tired of buying these games where I find out after purchase, "oh it's permadeath." So I'll keep a lookout on this one.
Point blank, this is ridiculous. Switch owners must wait or buy it on another console, but I’m not double-dipping on a game unless I really like it. And from what I played - despite liking it - no way should they get a second helping of my wallet. With all the people like, “well you should expect that on a Switch.” Uhhh, NO! How many different games have been ported to the Switch that work stellar(not scoring gameplay at all)? I have no choice but to wait, and that’s fine, but there’s still no excuse for this. I’d have been better off with waiting for a delayed release than waiting this long for an update after purchase.
I finally got to buying Astral Chain a few days ago, and I’m nuts about it. I don’t remember the last time I was screaming “Woooo!” During the gameplay of a game. May have to play it a bit longer before going for Untitled Goose Game, Giga Wrecker, and River City Girls
Seems like a fun-filled game with plenty jokes. If it ever goes on sale, I’ll get it just to have in my collection. But not big on twin-stick shooters.
@ShinyUmbreon Oh yeah! The first time a lag happened, I was paranoid my Internet was going down, but my partner was still streaming Hulu fine, and my phone was giving great wireless speed tests. Then I read somewhere if one person has bad bandwidth, everyone’s game slows down.
1. Find/buy the standalone cartridge. 2. Find an old school iPod mini arm band. Modify it to fit joy con. 3. Buy steering wheel from junk yard. Modify it to hold joy con. It’ll even give you some weight for better training!
This game is... not bad. My ratio of good:bad online matches is pretty high though. I can’t complain too much. Other than Splatoon 2, D3, and Warframe, I’m not big on online play, and my games seem to run fine for the most part. While we can sit here and point at Nintendo to fix their Online feature (regarding lags), make sure you kiddos also have a decent Internet connection as well.
I don’t even need an advanced use for it. It would just be nice if it would light up when I’m playing at night; set it up for “nightlight times” or something.
I'm very late to the game, and got this on sale for about $2 on the eShop. I figured this would be a nice replacement for GW. The difficulty curve is horribly steep, and the frustration from playing the later levels is almost not even worth the $2 I paid for it. Also, the game is annoying if you're not connected to the internet. If you're not on the net, it will constantly interrupt you about connecting to a connection between deaths; if you're on airplane mode, it will constantly nag you about turning it off airplane mode between deaths. I'm just glad I didn't pay full price.
I popped my game in after about a month, and it seems worse for me. I had several times where it pretty much just froze before a boss cutscene and after being a boss, and then freezing in some of the rooms.
@Chunkboi79 Albeit I’ve not bought any for my Switch, I’ve played DQB1 on Vita, DQB2 Demo on Switch, and Terraria and Minecraft on PC. I just know I’m going to spend chunks of hours on whatever I buy, so I just want to buy one I’m sure I’m going to like and dedicated time to one game in this genre.
@Chunkboi79 They actually say "LoZ meets Terraria and Stardew Valley" on their website.
I've never played this, and I haven't bought any kind of game like this for my Switch yet ( No Stardew, Minecraft, DQ Builders 1 or 2, etc.). With that $20 price tag, I may have to opt in for Digital. If any other Dual Switch/PC owners haven't played and want to "try before you buy," they have a free (or pay what you want) demo on their website: https://hopfrog.itch.io/forager-demo
Got my first crash at ~25%. And I was progressing through a new area where I hadn’t found a safe room yet... I think I need to take a several-week break and give them time for patches.
@ShadJV If I had a GC adapter, I’d try it with CotN. I think we’re in opposite boats. Lol
As others reiterate, PEOPLE, both Cadence of Hyrule and CotN have “tone deaf” mode for those bad at the rhythm aspect of the game. Play as the Bard If you have the original game and try it that way!
@Gauchorino the offline-heavy version of PSO2 at the moment would be Phantasy Star Nova, which I think was ever only released on PS Vita. But hey, they could possibly port it. PSO2 PC is decent. The English patch doesn’t translate everything though, unless that has changed recently. PSO2 cloud on Switch... don’t expect to get it working there; some error everyone not in Japan gets that keeps ‘em from playing. So ready to start all over on US servers, regardless of getting PSO2 Cloud.
Trying my best to hold out and wait. Also trying not to spontaneously purchase the original since I have it on PC, even though it’s only ~$3 on Switch. Trying to wait on Bloodstained, and decide between Bloodstained, Cadence, and Collection of Mana. I’m so tempted to buy all 3. 😖
As an NoA player that has purchased from the Japanese eShop, I don't understand why other NoA players are bummed out about a Euro sale... It's as simple as making a Euro account if you really want to participate.
I went ahead and said "eff it," and just pre-ordered the hard copy a few weeks ago. As people have said, to each their own. I've been looking for something that I can play in between clients at work, and this should do the trick.
I played a friend's Steam copy to make sure it's definitely something I wanted on Switch. Some people say it's hard; others, "only when you're under-leveled." I feel regardless of the actual difficulty, as a typical mage user, the game is slightly more difficult for mages. I could be wrong... but I don't think I'll be getting this unless I'm going to play as any other class/advanced classes not involving magic.
@Rayquaza2510 It might be a close call between the 2 games. Beatemups did a review on this game... He says it's almost as bad as WWE 2K 18. I'm not taking my chance with either one! @NintyNate I know people are givin you s**t already, but c'mon, look at Warframe...
I've been playing Diablo, duh! This my first time ever playing, and it's wicked fun. Had the same issue with it being easy as well, even on hard (I'm a necromancer). Clocked in a bunch of hours already.
@dalarrun From what I've heard the tracks sound different. I got the original soundtrack back when I got the DS game, and played the hell out of it. The tracks I've heard in trailers and gameplay's don't sound the same as the originals at all; not remastered... but maybe re-vocalized with some slight instrument changes?
I have Dead Cells & Wizard of Legend. I mostly play WoL still because magic and multiplayer. Dead Cells, I've slowly started playing less and less, and don't want to buy a game like either of these for the moment. Would these be important factors on deciding whether or not to get this game?
I will say that I was in a toss-up between buying a Switch or VR when I bought my Switch, however, the Oculus wouldn't have even been in the list of options
