Re: 'Nintendo Music' Adds A Huge Zelda Soundtrack, Here's Every Song Included

garfreek

@sketchturner Oh this is the only Zelda I still dislike actively! It just has A LOT of issues, and I'm someone who liked the motion controls! 😂

But there's some real musical gold in here!

Balad of the godess
Among the clouds (The love theme)
Fi's theme
The bamboo garden minigame

It's in the top 3 for me with BOTW's non-ambient tracks and Windwaker!

I feel they tweaked some things slightly since the Wii days, because things I couldn't get to work suddenly do! 🥰

It's also worth mentioning that this game is the epitome of bang for your buck too! There's so much main story, you'll definitely be playing this for a while if you want too!

I really could use some of the classics to make my playlists better and bigger.

But I always look forward to Tuesdays now, it's like a little fun present every week! 🤎

And this soundtrack has some fantastic laidback tracks, which are my favourites.

(And the chibi bums in the screenshots are sending me. They put so much detail in those for that time! 😂)

@Clyde_Radcliffe
Oh people really need to stop this line of thinking on EVERY TIME a post is made about NSO.

Waaahh I have to pay 1 game a year to receive about a hundred classics, online multiplayer, a music app, deals on games, two brilliant online competitive games, DLC for three games and a whole bunch of customization options for my avatar!! Oh nooo we aren't getting enough for the unbearable price of LITERALLY ONE GAME!!

I agree you could be cheaper off if you bought a few of these solo. But you're forgetting they asked 20 bucks for an N64 game, 12 for a snes and 500 for a nes game. I've played enough to get my moneys worth for the next 6 years at this point!

So bring it up sometimes, you're right I can illegally get this all for free. And it will all never truly be mine. But does it needs to be said every single vid?!

I can totally vet for Raymann Legends.

Rayman origin's levels are almost completely unlockable as a little extra to an amazing, jam pack adventure. The music and set pieces are amazing, it's managed to make swimming fun(!!) and it's got the exact right amount of challenge: too easy still? Try your hand at the challenge levels and unlock even more stuff to do and get!

Get this one!

Re: Three Sega Genesis / Mega Drive Games Have Been Added To Switch Online's Expansion Pack

@PinballBuzzbro I get being pissed, Ubisoft was right in saying people will (have to) get used to not owning anything anymore.

But once you get over that mind numbingly awfull realisation that we're all little strings in the capilatistic web of dread where a single hack or computer mistake can leave us all helpless, hungry and without any way of saving ourselves.....then the pay one game, get all of this madness for free, is pretty sweet! 😂😄

Re: As Switch Closes The Gap, Sony Officially Confirms PS2 Has Sold "Over" 160 Million Units

garfreek

@sportvater I'd still love a PS2 to this day!

It was the reason Gamecube had about three rpg's..5 if you're counting sequels unreleased in half the world.

Ps2 was an rpg machine, backwards compatible with some of the best platformers that didn't have Mario. And we're not even talking about things like Metal gear solid and Silent hill!

I could only afford 1 home console, and I never regretted buying my favourite console after Switch.
But there was some serious jealousy towards my friend who had both! 😂

@OwenGamer22
I use video game music during work, and it helps me to focus. I usually put on Nintendo loop, a vgm radio and awesome community, through YouTube.

This app allows me to make my own playlists, and to listen to it at moments I can't have YouTube open.

The appeal is that it's usually instrumental, but catchy. Unlike most instrumental music and movie soundtracks it usually has distinct chorussed and leitmotifs.

It's also got that added bonus of feeling like you're playing video games without playing video games! 😂😁

Re: Super Mario Party Jamboree Version 1.1.1 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

garfreek

@wuntyme8 I feel the Lucky spaces are usually the worst offenders. They did nerf them somewhat vs. The previous game I noticed. And they aren't scared to finally rip you a new one and let bowser steal a star or a large amount of coins.

You really need that to have stakes, highs and lows and a punishment to the money grabbing you can do here! (Going to boo is usually a better strategy than actually getting the star! )

Re: The Game Awards 2024 Nominees Have Been Revealed - Zelda, Mario And Metroid Nominated

garfreek

They bend the rules to specifically put in one of their favorite games....Oh my, who will win the categorie this year?! 🤔🤣

If I'm being honest Zelda really isn't hooking me like it should. It's great fun while playing, but not that "I can't wait to get home and squeeze in another hour" type of game a GOTY usually is.
I fear Brotherhood was to close to release.

And I found out we're all a bit/ a lot biased here, go look at the video game Reddit: Nintendo is an after thought at best with most gamers! 😳

Re: 'Nintendo Music' Adds Classic N64 Soundtrack, Here's Every Song Included

garfreek

I'm happy we're getting one a week guys! Seriously what I've been saying, drip feeding everything on a whenever we want basis.. That's Nintendo!

Problem here is there's not enough soundtracks to start with. So my "playlists' exist of like 8 songs max.

Some soundtracks go for the leidmotief, very cool when playing, not so cool when listening to a soundtrack!

But I'm happy with what we got so far, let the speculation begin for next week...a Wii gamecube game because we've been going snes-n64...?

Re: Opinion: No, Zelda: The Minish Cap's Worst Sidequest Isn't The Kinstones

garfreek

For me it get's to feel like a slog around that mountain area. Don't know why but I've got three save files that climbed and concured the mines...and then I just stop at whatever wretched sidetravking follows... A shame, because I know that's the good part!

Never even attempted the figurines... I'm still getting trophies in Melee!! 😱🤣🤣
