Re: Nintendo Expands Switch 2's GameCube Library Next Week

garfreek

@Dev-N it's been the first month Of NS2 when this releases, there was nothing on that screen and they already had this prepared because people were playing this at events...

It's going to be agonizingly slow, once a month at best! So basically how they've been handling 64 and GBA! 🤣🤣

Re: 12 Limited Run Switch Games Are Now Compatible With The Switch 2

@Mario_maniac My best friends used to rent this one. I understood little of it but it looked like so much fun! I'm downloading it right now!

Truly one of those games I always dreamt of playing (along with Final Fantasy 8,9,10 and Dragon Quest 8! ) It'ssonweird and cool finally owning all of these!!

Re: Toby Fox's Deltarune Has Been Updated For Switch 2, Chapter 3 + 4 Patch Now Live

@Chlocean @Bobb Go for it! It's like your favorite tv show. Each chapter is it's own contained story, like seasons on tv. But there's a cool overarching story going on for the full series.

It's a bit strange at first because it's a parelel universe. But it absolutely has the same charm as Undertale!

And Undertale is great, not too long and really unique. Go in with the knowledge of it's an Indy game made by 2 people and have fun!

@HalBailman
What makes it a 7 if you haven't played it? You could be right in your case, but it sounds so weird! 😂

I think the negatives mentioned are mainly of you've already owned the game, if you haven't and like rpgs this was definitely one of my Favorites gameplay wise and already looked great in 3ds.

Story is a bit meh, but the characters are fun enough that I didn't mind!

A game that feels like an rpg boss rush. You'll have to take every single job in a fight, and the bosses usually come in pairs or trios. Using each others skills, braving and defaulting, to get you to breaking point.

I've never had this much fun thinking of strategies, making teams and finally breaking through the defences. A game I never have regretted buying and will happily dive back in ten years later!

Re: Pokémon Fan Loses "20 Years Worth Of Data" After Performing Switch 2 Transfer

garfreek

Davidvinc did a little rant about this. It's probably the Switch update that killed him. All the save data you had on the SD card got wiped when they moved to those virtual game cards.

He's a Youtuber that focuses on RPG's...so you can imagine how his total lost playtime went in the hundreds or more hours lost.

We didn't notice because most of us have the save cloud as a backup, or save states on the console. But it's insane it happened anyway!

Edit: Oh yhea, I forgot I can't cloud save for Pokemon..!!!

Re: It's Official, Switch 2 Has Sold Over 3.5 Million Units Globally In Its First Four Days

I really regret buying mine and hate looking at the thing. All the anti consumer choices really hit home when you start playing this puppy!

We're at: want to use your games or saves on another profile?, want to use them on another systeem? .... you'll have to pay for that!

I paid around 600 dollars for console and controllers, paid for Mario Kart, paid for NSO plus. My sister did a time trial and got a message that she can't upload her time trial to the leaderboards because her profile isn't paying for NSO!

My extra save file wouldn't use Zelda notes because I had to buy the extension because the download I used is profile locked!

I can't play at my boyfriend anymore because the saves and games can only be played on 2 consoles. So I have to box my Switch 1, or never play at his house. Mario kart wouldn't start because my profile was linked to his and mine NS1! (I wanted to start fresh on NS 2 because of the horribly low memory on the thing..)

They're disgusting, and I hate this company at the moment.

Re: Want To 100% 'Welcome Tour'? You'll Need To Cough Up For Some Accessories

I'm still heaving mad from finding out I can't use game cards on this one because I'm connected to another Switch 1.... I'm going to scream!!! 🤣🤣

God I hate Nintendo right now, I'm so soured by all this bad juju, greedy behavior and downright theft of my rights that I'm hoping some of those executives have a horrible, dreadful week. God I hate this company right now!!!

I'm literally sitting here angry with a just downloaded Mario Kart in front of me having regrets of buying this stupid thing!

Re: Site News: We've Got A Switch 2

It's so exciting! They say I'll get it tomorrow, but also that it's crazy busy and they've been known to deliver the next day at times like that. God i'm nervous and excited!!

Re: Video: Do You Even Need A Pro Controller For The Switch 2?

garfreek

"If not now, then when?" Was my thought as I clossed my eyes and added to cart! 😂
The Joy cons messed up my hands, so I have to use the pro. And since the NS1 pro is backwards compatible I never would have experienced the new controls when the system was out. Who buys a controller instead of a new game?

So I chucked it up to console costing more! 😂

Re: Video: Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster Shows Off Switch 2 Mouse Minigames

garfreek

@Hero-of-WiiU On a brighter note: The game is fantastic! I played the ever loving heck out of it on 3ds.

It's light on story, which is still great, but big on QOL features.

The game can best be described as an rpg boss rush game. You constantly meet new job classes, but to get them you have to defeat them. They usually come in pairs and show you the ultimate way of playing and supporting those classes. It's always a satisfying puzzle how you can unravel them.

The job class system is perfection too. Letting you swap freely without losing progress and easier mix Jobs and abilities because you can keep abilities from different classes.

Can't rave about this one enough, have fun!!

Re: Video: Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster Shows Off Switch 2 Mouse Minigames

garfreek

@Hero-of-WiiU Eh I'm also not forking over any cash for something worth nothing in about 5 to 6 years. You want physical for when your Switch eventually gives up, so you can port it all over to another one. This won't let you do that, so why not wait for a sale and just download the thing from the eShop?

It's just putting costs on consumers while having your face in the store. But you can apparently at least resell them to someone else, is that correct?
