I'm fairly surprised at the hype levels around this. I personally could not be less interested but it seems to be hitting the mark for a lot of people!

Yeah I can get on board with this. Will nab it for some chilled out gaming post-Silksong (if it ever ends).

I realise this is probably not the most popular opinion, but I view video games as an art form - particularly when created by such a small team staying faithful to their own vision. I think once you've bought the game you should be able to mod it and rip it apart if you want, but I don't think there should ever be an onus on the developer to make something "easier" or indeed different in any way than the vision they and they alone had for the art, just because it does not appeal to every single person.

There's more nuance to this when it comes to accessibility options, but even then... lots of things aren't accessible to everyone.

My final word is that the game is phenomenal and an easy 10 for me - the best gaming experience I've had this year so far.

Sub-heading should win awards.

Obviously reviews where something is scored as a "0" are nonsense, but currently around a 7 is where I think the game belongs personally.

This game needs a v2.0 with some major adjustments made to the open world. I'm so disappointed with this game so far

So as I understand it the release button is just a simple solenoid which pushes the joycon away from the system itself. A few calculations based on the area of the head of the solenoid could in theory give you an idea of the required pressure exerted on that area to break the tension from the magnets. Anyway, hope Mario Kart is good.

Luigi's Mansion 3 was a stunner, and a great wee game. Loved it.

Since the rumour is that the Switch 2 will be compatible with the Joycons, my assumption is that this means they're compatible wirelessly but don't slide on to the side of the device. So this is Nintendo giving us a place to store them while they're connected to the Switch 2? Otherwise you'd put them back onto the sides of your Switch to store them when you're done with them, thereby disconnecting them from the Switch 2. Like... maybe.

I'm not saying this game wont be incredible, because I truly hope it will be - but that first trailer is one of the least hype things I've ever seen. Who edited that thing lol. It sort of builds (sort of doesn't) to this weird, flat end scene that's instantly forgettable. Really, crap trailer Nintendo.

This is probably my favourite game of all time. Journeying through this mystery for the first time is truly like nothing else. Delighted to see it's now available for Switch gamers. Enjoy folks!

It doesn't NEED a remake, the original game is still great. But I'd take a remake - why the hell not? I'm not someone who believes a remake in any way tarnishes the original. They can be two distinct pieces of art.

I never imagined I'd play something like this for 50 hours on the Xbox Series X, and yet... I did. It's absolutely awesome. Will be double dipping on the Switch so I can finally lie on the couch and play

I'm not too sure about this year, but I think the Switch may just continue to sell after "Switch 2" releases. Currently we don't know what that console is going to be like, it may just be a Switch Pro type deal where we see support for the OG Switch continue for a few years. Who can say at this stage?

Yeah it's a good thing. It kind of broke the climbing mechanic for me. I ended up using it all the time in my most recent BotW playthrough, and then I'd wish I hadn't. No willpower though I guess, so yeah I'm glad the temptation has been removed

I don't understand... I've already got an agreement with my local store to go pick it up any time tomorrow rather than wait until Friday. Like, I get it's not legit but... no harm, no foul. And even if I didn't have that in place, I'm 100% sure I could walk into any game store on Friday morning and pick it up without queuing.

I do think it hasn't been a great year for Nintendo this year. Xenoblade was obviously high quality but it didn't click for me this time. and I've only JUST got back into playing the Switch properly after a long hiatus - spurred on by Metroid Prime Remastered, and the new Mario Kart tracks.

It might be worth holding off until this new update comes and seeing if it fixes a lot. There’s a really good game in there but it’s borderline unplayable for me sadly.

Got to fix that performance. Despite myself I purchased this on a whim the other day and made the mistake of throwing it on the big TV briefly to see how it looked and performed. Good god is all I can say… good god.

@theGamerPad GamePass is a library of games , so I’m not paying the subscription just for the new games that are added. That’s beside the point anyway, I’m just saying that I don’t know if I’ll like this one and while it’s not something I’d play on the big screen with the XBox, it’s definitely something I’d have a better chance of getting into on the Switch.

Games like this make me really want GamePass on the Switch.

Well that’s effing awesome. Still scared to get too hyped about this game given it’s using that same map that I’ve spent 300+ hours in already. Also since it’s taken so much inspiration from Skyward Sword which is my personal least favourite in the whole series.
