Re: B-Ball Fans Rejoice, NBA 2K19 Is Dribbling Its Way To Nintendo Switch

@SmaggTheSmug True, I know people whose consoles are glorified Fifa and Netflix machines, but all I'm saying is that if they gave us Fifa 18 and nothing more I'd be pissed. I'd be happier if they gave us a game titles Fifa Switch and just updated it every year with new players, even at a cost, but that's just not the business model.

Re: GameStop Has Leaked 10 Unannounced Full-Price Switch Game Listings

I'd love to see some Breath of the Wild DLC. I can't help but think there's a massive open world sitting there that I'd happily explor further if they'd just give me a reason to do it. 900 korok seeds and 200 hours later and I'd go back to it in a heartbeat!

I'd also like Metroid for early 2019 with a full fledged Halo-esque multiplayer. Is that asking too much...?

@Donutman I feel you. Well I buy Fifa every year on Playstation because that's the only way I can continue to play with my mates who also buy the new one every year. I suppose the fact that you can't actually play with your mates on Fifa Switch changes that equation a bit but I'm fully expecting that to be resolved next year and with the online service launching in September.

I think if you're only going to buy one per gen, you might have bought it one year too early!

Re: Pokémon Core Series RPG Will Arrive In The Second Half Of 2019

@thiz I reckon we'll get a Bayonetta or a Metroid or an Animal Crossing this year. E3 will confirm of course. This Pokemon isn't going to appease anyone, and if Smash isn't a brand new game it's going to piss off a lot of people.

Still, I play the Switch daily, even if has just been for indies of late. I've got a lotta lotta hours logged on it!

Re: Zelda: Breath of the Wild And Super Mario Odyssey Win Big At BAFTA Games Awards

frabbit

Hellblade did a lot of damage at the awards as it's a "British title". You have to remember that the BAFTA's are always fairly biased towards their(our) own games/movies/TV shows. It's a platform to promote British work, and to get people talking about our exports, so I can't say I'm surprised or outraged that Hellblade done so well! Still... Zelda though...

Re: Nintendo Switch Online Service Will Go Live This September

frabbit

All I'm looking for is some info on the Virtual Console, and to be honest this update doesn't clarify anything for me. I genuinely don't believe we'll get a collection of Gamecube or Wii games to play as part of this subscription, but I do believe we'll get to play them. So... where does that come in? Is there another service we're missing, or maybe they'll just be normal e-shop releases?

Re: A New Patch Is Slated For WWE 2K18 This Thursday, But It Could Be A Hot Tag Too Late

frabbit

Assuming this update brings the game up to scratch, I think this is one I'll pick up a few months down the line when it's on offer. Haven't been a fan of wrestling games for years - the last ones I remember liking were Wrestlemania and No Mercy on the N64, the Smackdown games on playstation were shocking in my opinion and I've not touched any of the modern iterations.

I'm not against giving these ones a go, but releasing a shoddy port on Switch isn't the way to bring me back to these games. Anyway, suffice to say if the patch doesn't fix things then they'll not get my money next year either.

Re: Hands On: The Future Of Gaming Is Cardboard, Thanks To Nintendo Labo

I think this just looks like brilliant fun. I can't wait to get my hands on this, my 11 year old sister can come round and paint the parts then we can build it together. Hours of fun. A stroke of genius as far as I'm concerned. And please remember it was stated up front that this one was for kids! I just wonder now if Nintendo have had this planned since before Switch's release or if this is a recent development!

Re: Zelda: Breath of the Wild Champions' Ballad DLC Goes Live

@Nincompoop Looks like the bike is made from Guardian Technology to me. the "100 years later" mob don't know how that works as they've lost the know-how. Assuming that's why there aren't any others to be seen around Hyrule in present-day. The "100 years earlier" crowd must have had iPhone's, microwaves, internet, the lot.

Joking, but the existence of the bike is pretty easy to explain away, and allows you to ride around Hyrule on a bike. No complaints here.

Re: L.A. Noire

I'm in the UK, so this will likely retail at £50, which frankly is a bitch. I'll pay it though because I can't pull myself away from the console at the minute!

Unrelated, but I like the new box art a helluva lot more than the old one.
