Been a fan of this series since the '98 Dream Match on the PSX. I hope this runs with no hitches on the Switch. BlazBlue CentralFiction needs a friend on my system.
Riju beat Purah in the polls? Many people of good taste have spoken, I see.
So many people dissing the English voice acting while here I am enjoying it despite normally avoiding English dubs like the plague. Might have something to do with me wanting my young children to enjoy watching the game as I play it (which they did immensely). I don't think it's as bad as people say it is.
These moments were gold back when I was an avid player of the franchise. Too bad it started going downhill after Sun and Moon. Not even the Switch spinoffs and remakes were enough to pull me back after the disappointment that was Sword and Shield.
Still, I'm hoping the developers remember what made their past games so good and churn out a winner that pulls me back.
Was Nintendo Life paid to say this is Ghibli-esque, or was this written with no prior knowledge of the studio's works? Either way, that's just poor writing.
@Razzy Yeah, I'm aware Konami has been a stinker as of late, but I prefer giving even them the benefit of the doubt, which is now disappointing given the info you shared. Shame on them.
And this is why it's important to properly guide and monitor younger gamers. Parents can't just rely on age ratings and eShop quality vetting, especially these days.
Every single thing points to a Switch 2 reveal these days.
Just to let you guys know, I don't normally catch a cold, but here I am coughing and nursing a runny nose. I guess that means upcoming Switch 2 reveal, right?
Back in the day, I was more concerned with the lore of the first Super Mario Bros. game that states (on the game manual) that the citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom were turned into blocks and other overworld elements, so I was technically killing them with each block I destroyed.
@WaffleRaptor01 I was more into Matchbox back then, but never saw a die-cast car I didn't like. They still appeal to me to this day, and I'm glad my son (and due to his influence, my two-year-old daughter as well) has developed the same taste.
Did I miss it, or was there no mention of whether the driving mechanics have been improved? Couldn't get into the first game due to the floaty nature of the driving. Shame, as my four-year-old and I really wanted to enjoy it, as he's into Hot Wheels these days.
I only buy digital for shorter games that I feel don't justify being bought full price physically, or the occasional long game with a very generous discount (like I did with Disgaea 5 Complete back then), so a digital-only console wouldn't appeal to me.
True, the ability to bring all your games with you everywhere is quite convenient, but you only ever play one game at a time anyway. If you have very little focus (or attention span) that you need to constantly switch to a different game each time you boot up, then I don't think the console is the one lacking features.
It's honestly difficult to go back to any other form factor after using Hori's Split Pad Pro for so long, so this one is clearly not for me as far as Joy-Con alternatives are concerned.
Part of the fun of playing video games is having it relate to some aspect of your life (or vice versa), so this show seems like it'll hit the right notes.
Also, that trailer reminded me just how butt-ugly some of the early monster designs were.
Any addition to this already content-stuffed game is always welcome. I hope that the next update will freshen the game enough as to warrant a new playthrough.
Considering how long it took for this one to be released on Switch, those bugs are just plain disappointing. Shame, as I was looking forward to this game as soon as I saw its trailer.

Re: Review: Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 - An Extensive But Imperfect Compilation Of Classics
Only the smallest parts of the collection are in the game card? This is a whole new level of greed and laziness.
But of course people will buy this enough to justify Konami's practices.

The deal breaker here is whether or not all the games are in the card. Don't let us down, Konami.

Re: Random: Players Share Bananas Gameplay Of New King Kong Game, And It's Not Looking Good
The trailers already screamed "low-effort cash-grab" but they managed to set the bar even lower with the actual release. Amazing.
Then again, what else did we expect from a company that literally admits it's a "game mill?"
Re: Analogue's CEO Reckons Not Even Nintendo Could Beat Its New 'N64'

I'll believe it when I see it... and get a chance to purchase it without too much hassle and financial woe.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Director (Sort Of) Explains What Happened To Sheikah Tech
It couldn't have all disappeared, as Hyrule is still using bits and pieces of them, like the retractable claws on the Skyview Towers.
My headcanon is that they just broke them apart and repurposed them for other things, like the towers and the Purah Pad.
