Re: Random: Coder Creates Super Mario 64 For The GBA, And It's Looking Excellent

@Kiwi_Unlimited
Well I personally think the obsession was worth it. It was a ground-breaking game, showed that 3d platformers were feasible, and established 3d movement conventions that are used to this day. Anti-matter has me blocked, apparently, so I never saw his post, but historically I don't take his opinion all that seriously.

Mario 64 was and is an incredible game, and this GBA version is a technical feat, if not a visual acid trip.

Re: Atari's First 'Sprint' Game In Three Decades Launches On Switch Next Month

I don't mean to hate on this game but like... why are iso-racers still a thing? I get motion sick watching this stuff. I didn't like them back when I had the SEGA channel circa 1994, and I had the option to play something like this or a pseudo-3d game like Road Rash. These aren't in fashion any more for many reasons, the biggest of which is that controlling them is an exercise in frustration. Rant over.

Re: Biomutant Finally Secures A Release Date On Switch

lol it's gonna run like shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

But really, "all the previously released DLC" isn't that just one character class? This feels like a desperate gambit on behalf of the developer to tap into the "money fountain" that is the switch. I don't think this will work out, though. I have it on PS5 (originally PS4) and it doesn't run super smooth there, the gameplay is repetitive and the hand-to-hand combat is unsatisfying. The gunplay is loose. The aesthetic is neat, I think that's all it ever has had going for it.

Re: Talking Point: After Three Months, What's Your Zelda: TOTK Completion Percentage?

It's hard for me to really dig into... it isn't as good as Breath of the Wild by virtue that it isn't a standalone story that you could jump into without having played the first. Even Majora's Mask and The Adventure of Link didn't really require you to know anything at all about the prior entry. Just feels like BotW Expansion Pass prime Plus rewards program.

"Breaking news; the recent release of the viral mobile game 'Monster Hunter Rise: Go!' has emergency rooms scrambling to tackle the influx of ziplining injuries, many of them fatal due to the player's lack of protective gear and dearth of athleticism. When we reached out to Capcom for comment, sources replied 'Git gud.' Stay tuned for more at 11."
