Re: Review: Resident Evil Requiem (Switch 2) - Action And Horror Combine In A Series Highlight

@DashKappei what a childish response:/ its funny how you claim you don’t excuse Capcom, but spend ages just cycling in your own defenses. Not once did you reflect what was said, not once did you try to understand. I don’t know how old you are, and I don’t mean to insult, but younger people have ego and argue for the sake of winning, older people know how to listen. You didn’t seem to listen at all, sorry:( You also should read between the lines. Sacrificing would need to be done but nobody could argue that it would be impossible. It could still go through the partial download which you yourself said-why didn’t they do this then? It runs at a low 640p or whatever resolution and upscales, and yes maybe they could lock just 50fps instead of targeting 60 which still is too high. And who knows the truth how fast the cartridges really are? Nobody tested it and just relies on corporate excuses. So who knows if they really are slow or if that is just an excuse so Capcom saves on physical media. Nintendo, if massproduced in millions could definitely drop the price below 15usd. Maybe 10bucks. And why not then? So we still could have 3options 1) slower cartridge with mandatory installation from the media itself 2) more expensive game with faster cartridge 3) lowering down the framerate to 40/50 so it could run within the speeds they claim.
Yes yes, Capcom always brags about their new engine, but its also extremely scalable and seeing the gameplay-corridor type game for the most part, there should be ways. My point is, people shouldn’t trust all information forced up our throats, because companies focus on profitability first not making players happy first. That’s why we get unfinished products on release days with day 1 patches so they save money on proper game testing and force more costs onto us, and so on. Not everything said to us is necessarily the truth, but a convenient manipulation.
To finish, I would rather pay more for full physical, and who doesn’t want, can just download it right? But Key Cards? That’s a confusing manipulation to people who don’t check properly and think its physical, and then they are lazy to return it and just painfully accept it. This is not transparent communication-not everyone watches directs. I don’t care, if they wont release physical I wont buy it. Whoever else, make your choices with your purchases.

@DashKappei is this an AI generated response? Because you cycle in your own arguments without really understanding what I said. Clearly you are the one who doesn’t understand current tech and game demands based on the type of game and CPU and GPU usage. I am a developer who also has had over 35years experience with gaming but based on your answer its pointless to continue. Don’t even bother responding LOL

Re: Review: Resident Evil Requiem (Switch 2) - Action And Horror Combine In A Series Highlight

Znake

@DashKappei so you aren’t excusing their approach, yet you spend the whole paragraph describing why they did it instead of the reasons why they shouldn’t.
Yes you are correct, there is no excuse! 1)Nintendo should have planned ahead with different types of cartridges!
2) if a small company can handle the cost of the cartridge that doesn’t even sell millions but they still release full physical, compared to Capcom that sells on multiple platforms, with multiple franchises and makes heavy loads more than small devs but decides not to do full physical-that’s called monetisation and focus on taking more of our money, not that its not possible. Capcom could easily do it.
3) don’t mention engines, we are not in the ps3 era. Nowadays all engines are designed to run on various hardware settings-moreso RE Engine so engine is not the issue this generation.
4) lets not dove into silly PR excuses that the cartridge isnnt fast enough. Cyberpunk is a great example because its a game that strains CPu and GPU more than Resident evil. Cyberpunk is an open world where that has far more NPC’s, structures, physics, action that can happen at the same time VS Resident- linear corridor style game that has slower NPC’s and you never experience so much processed data per second in RE. So Cyberpunk is significantly more demanding and it works fine from the cartridge-and RE cannot? That’s just a corporate excuse to shift attention from their greed. If we use common sense, the facts and truth are undeniable. So long story short, if Cyberpunk could do it, for Capcom it would have been FAR easier.
There is just no excuse for the KEY Cards, and if Nintendo wont change this, well me and most gamers I know who buy only physical will sell their Switches and start buying games on PS5 instead. If Nintendo and Capcom won’t find a way to be consumer friendly and jist focus on monetisation and profitability, people like us will just not give them any more money. Simple:)

Re: Review: Resident Evil Requiem (Switch 2) - Action And Horror Combine In A Series Highlight

@Moroboshi876 the same thoughts! But come on Capcom, Cyberpunk fit on a full physical( around 100gb game), Indiana Jones too will release a full physical (130gb game) so there is really no excuse! I will never buy a key card and knowing that the game has only 29.2GB, that is far below 64 gb card that Cyberpunk used so they could use even cheaper 32gb cards that Switch 1 had! Capcom really screwed us over, because this is mega cheap from them! Lame Capcom, LAME! And no Mercenary? Does Capcom take examples from GameFreak, fragmenting content so they can sell more down the line? Mercenary Mode has been a stable that used to be included as a part of the main game! Now these devs don’t think how to offer us the best product possible anymore, but they look for ways how to get as much cash as possible from us! Well they get none from me unless its a full physical with mercenary mode included! Shame on them! I am really disappointed in Capcom!

Re: Poll: Will You Be Getting Pokémon FireRed Or LeafGreen On Switch?

Znake

@The_Nintendo_Expat I would say Gold, Emerald, and Black 2 would be their AAA only since these games were bound to portable systems thus the retro graphics. Although I agree with you that once they went on full 3D their work has been so lazy and subpar that they would be a B tier at best.

Re: Poll: Will You Be Getting Pokémon FireRed Or LeafGreen On Switch?

Znake

This is so cheap Gamefreak, we already got Lets Go Pikachu which is a remake of the original games! We should get a proper physical release of Gold in 2D HD or Black 2 remake! Giving us FireRed, LG is so cheap, you must be desperate to scrape the bottom of the barel through old content since you are unable to create a proper AAA title since Black 2. Also once you butchered Platinum on Switch, I lost all hope this studio could ever return to their old glory days-they were too dependent on Iwata it feels like. They recycle ages old programming without really creating anything new! Look at Zelda back and Zelda now! Gamefreak froze in the GameCube days. Nothing against Twilight Princess, but imagine if Nintendo released a brand new game, and it would be TP. Its a great classic but it would feel visually and gameplaywise very dated today as a brand new entry. That’s how their games are! Can’t believe that one of the wealthiest gaming IP’s in the World are lazy bums, that I would compare to 50 year old kids still depending on their parents and crying they have to work. Shame on Gamefreak! Shame! Shame! Shame! Like Cersei

Re: Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 Switch And Switch 2 Physical Version Download Requirements Revealed

Znake

@batmanbud2 this doesn’t need to be a Key Card! The original Switch cartridges have 32 or 34gb of space so both games could easily fit! This is such a nonesense! Nintendo this is the greatest plague you have created! Games should be either only digital or only physical! Selling a useless plastic that just redirects you to download the full digital game is nonesense and a sneaky manipulation making many believe its a physical! So many e-shop and platforms don’t clearly define this and it creates a huge confusion! I have bought so many games for Switch and it was the same with the code in the box! So I had to return those games! Its ridiculous! Nintendo should let us know before we bought Switch that they will move away from physical games! Because I loved switch 1 for exceptions, so I stayed loyal to Nintendo for this? Nintendo released games like Cyberpunk full on Cartridge to makes us just believe-yeah even the biggest games will be full physical releases with all DLC! Now everything is a Key Card?! What a thrash! Nintendo needs to let us know if this is their new trend, because if yes, I will have to sell the Switch 2 and buy a ps5 instead.

Re: Video: Pragmata Demo Side-By-Side Graphics Comparison (Switch 2, Xbox Series S, PS5)

Znake

Looks interesting but I am put off by carrying a child on my back! This simple decision makes the game not very appealing. They focused more on standing out with two contrast characters instead so the game looks different on the market of millions of games, but to me, if there is a powerful super inteligent android, why put him in a child’s body so it can be easily broken and it depends on a human? This has no sense. I don’t mind two characters where it makes sense like Ico, or Ratchet n Clank. I know the game might be solid but wish the child was replaced by a broken android with missing legs for example to make it more interesting, but this decision really turned me off:/

Re: Turok Is Back, And It's Bringing The Hunt To Switch 2 Later This Year

Znake

I was hyped but this doesn’t deliver the true Turok experience! Where are the super original weapons? Where is the brutal gore?! Plus it look more like an online game… even the melee looks lame and uninteresting with no original elements.

Also, music is one major element with unique worlds and races, and I saw none of that here. Looks like it was done by a team that doesn’t understand the lore and the series at all if they present it like this. Sad times! The only true successor to Turok is Metroid Prime! Wish Retro Studios picked up the mantle and restarted the series instead of this!

Re: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Sales Have Got Off To A Slow Start

Znake

@Polvasti Nintendo management must be stupid to release 4 without rereleasing 2&3. They should have avoided the numbering or release 2&3 prior to 4! I understand that 2&3 are quite specific, mainly Prime 2 is a hard game and maybe they were afraid that if people played prime 2 first it might detract them from buying 4. Again, the numbering was not a good idea! They shot themselves in the foot. 4 is a great game just too similar to Prime 1. I bet the sales would have been higher if they fixed one of the aforementioned issues!

Re: 35 Upcoming Nintendo Switch 1 & 2 Games To Look Forward To In 2026

Znake

Its upsetting that Nintendo made us believe that Switch 2 will have physical releases of big games by releasing AAA title like Cyberpunk at launch, and so far no AAA games will have physical. New Resident Evil 9 is a keycard, Street Fighter too, Split Fiction, etc… its extremely disappointing and since I will never buy a key card, 2026 is an empty year for us,and I slightly regret buying the Switch 2. Memory cards are expensive, games got also more expensive, and with digital only games the cost of memory storage is further pushed onto us! Meaning, not only will big main AAA games cost 70,- usd, but we also need to buy extra storage to be able to even download them? Ridiculous!

Re: 'The Duskbloods' Could Be FromSoftware's Most Ambitious Game Yet, According To Leak

Znake

Most ambitious when it has zero singleplayer? You know that when the devs don’t have to focus on leveldesign and interconnection because we get only multiplayer arenas, and replace many NPCs with online players instead of designing intelligent AI for bosses and NPC-that’s cutting down content and workload. Only Online game screams cheap effort and very low budget! Super disappointing seeing its gonna be online only which destroys replayability once the online community dies off. Bad idea FromSoft!!!! Remember when online was just a side bonus content? Now we pay full price for this without any single player, and no replay value? What happened? Did Nintendo try to be cheap and get FromSoft onboard with super low budget game made from their peripheral team? Most likely! This is so sad, we were so hyped at first and then they say online only…..

Re: Opinion: Third-Party Support For Switch 2 Is Already A Dream Come True

Znake

A dream come true when all major developers release games on Key Cards? Cronos, RE9, Star Wars O, Final Fantasy… hardly a dream but a nightmare that I will never support. Key Card is like the game doesn’t exist. Devs need to give us only 2 options- Physical and Digital, not masking a digital game on a piece of plastic as a physical game. Disgusting practice

Re: Resident Evil Requiem Pre-Orders Live, Switch 2 Pro Controller And Amiibo Confirmed

Znake

Its a Key Card on Switch 2! So no game on a cartridge!!! Why do they even sell a digital game that looks like physical- this is purposefully so confusing for customers-I bet most parents wont even know what a key card is and will suffer the consequences if they leave on a vacation with no internet. Plus if the game will be 60GB+ its gonna take a long time to download. People could as easily transfer a digital code! I hate Nintendo for even creating this terrible solution! And the worst part comes, when the parents find out their kids can’t even download it, because they haven’t bought an express card since the storage on base Switch 2 is so limited.

Re: Xbox Reiterates Its Support For Switch 2

Znake

But they should announce it along with ps5! If the game will have good online aspect of it, then Switch 2 community should have every right to play it also online at its best. Not a year later when the online might not be as strong!

Re: Game-Key Cards A "Sales Strategy Decision", Says Resident Evil Requiem Director

Znake

@Friendly Great deduction! And lets not forget that Cyberpunk 2077 is more demanding game with all the rendering in big open spaces plus its a 90-100gb game that was fully released on 64GB cartridge! Final Fantasy VII is smaller and they make excuses that they need a key card, which is BS, they just wanna make more money on us! I would gladly pay 10,-usd more. Many people will hate if they have to buy extra SD card just to download it. If its a Key Card, its automatic NO BUY:/

Re: Video: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Official Side-By-Side Comparison (Switch 2, Xbox, PS5, PC)

Znake

If it won’t release physically on Switch 2 its a NO BUY! We shouldn’t be forced to buy an expensive storage on top of the game! Square should reconsider if they wanna make excuses and do a real job like what devs did for Cyberpunk 2077, which was phenomenal and they managed to Squeeze 100gb game on the 64GB cartridge. So FFVIR is significantly smaller than Cyberpunk so please release it full physical! Hate the keycards exist. I didn’t purchase Switch 2 seeing they really want to put AAA game on a scammy plastic with forced download! Fingers crossed!

Re: Are You "Unsure" About Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade For Switch 2? Don't Worry, There'll Be A Demo

Znake

I am more nervous about this game being on a key card most of all! There are no excuses for Key Cards and no way defending them. Don’t forget that FFVII was a 75GB game with updates maybe 80GB on PS5 and Cyberpunk is a cca 100GB game that the devs easily managed to put with complete DLC on a Switch 2 64GB cartridge with no problem. So no way the devs can claim they need more space or speed! In urgent cases the Switch 2 can install part of the game from the cartridge, but the full content must be on a physical cartridge. If Cyberpunk had no issues, why do other devs make excuses?! Because they want higher profits and don’t want to loose even 10,- bucks on a single purchase profit and they are lazy to adapt and port. This is not acceptable practice!

Re: Opinion: Metroid Prime 4 Reminds Me Of Gears 5, And It's Making Me Nervous

Znake

I don’t mind the bike but it just doesn’t screem like super advanced tech and Samus has a speed boost that might be faster than the bike, which looks cool but she has two jets on her back and hops on wheels? A hover machine would be more appropriate or strengthening her speed boost so the armor would create big jet engines from the large shoulder guards and while boosting around she could shoot and control her ship at the same time to attack from multiple directions. Well I would just expect something more cool than a bike to fit the prime universe’s super advanced tech, so I felt little underwhelmed and disappointed because it makes me feel like the new Retro team there may have very few members today from the original Retro team that actually worked on the series. This feels out of place with very little inspiration and creativity. They had better do something cool with the bike like merging with the suit to create some super armor and have more utility for it otherwise if its just a bike…:/

Re: Nintendo Direct September 2025: Every Announcement, Game Reveal, Trailer

Znake

There was not a single new game that would blow me away. I expected new Star Fox or Sin and Punishment, OR Ocarina of Time Remake. Too much childish boring spam fest. Nintendo needs strong first party lineup, but this was seriously underwhelming. Sure Galaxy 2 is fun, but its an old game. Hyrule Warriors looks fun but its essentially just another very simple hack and slash. Where is Twilight Princess HD remaster or Metroid Prime 2&3?! They mentioned updates for Switch 2- but they haven’t updated even their top exclusives like Bayonetta 3, and from 3rd party Arkham Knight that need an visual update pretty bad. Then we get a Virtual Boy accessory that will work for now only for games that are locked behind subscription?! Why would I invest into that if I cannot use it for the games I can own?! Also, don’t let me start on paid DLC for games already before they released?! That is a total greed that Iwata San would never agree with. At least if there was something like MGSV for Switch 2, or Expedition 33, Doom the Dark Ages. Some later games had fun announcement like Mortal Kombat, Persona 3, Virtua Fighter, but those are still very old games. Glad we got release date for Metroid Prime 4, but that was long overdue. Its sad that Metroid is literally the only game that seems great, plus RE: Requiem, but that is not enough! The most time taken by old Mario Games and the lame and lazy effort games like Pokemon is super disappointing. It just shows Nintendo doesn’t value its roots enough and focuses mainly on kids. I expected more from this. For a first main direct that should show what’s to come this gen and what to look forward to, Nintendo with the Switch 2 really dropped the ball.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct September Predictions - What Do You Hope To See?

Znake

Id love to see a new Star Fox and Sin and Punishment or HD remaster of 1&2. Also a 2D HD remake of Super Metroid and Link to the Past. Resident Evil 4 Remake with Original Dialogues and great motion controls, Ocarina of Time remake alas the tech demo we saw for Wii U, Eternal Darkness remake, new Monster Hunter exclusive for Switch 2, and lastly Metal Gear Solid V Complete Edition. It would also be nice to see more updated games in higher resolution and better textures for Switch 2 like Bayonetta 3, Arkham Knight Doom 2018/ Eternal and Xenoblade games and many others.
