I thought we will have some interesting main villain and characters, and even Bayonetta looks like a kid compared to 1&2 where she was really sexy. So for me, the design feels like a step back and story just lame, but the gameplay will be amazing for sure, I just hope they manage to release an amazing game that will top previous two games.
That’s great news, I wish they brought this updated version to the Switch! Since on 3DS it still has some frame rate issues. Otherwise this was the best version of Snake Eater( except the slightly worse foliage and resolution. Please bring this to Switch!!!!!!

Switch version could look decent if the game will be in more enclosed areas- look at Alien Isolation! Even though it was a ps3 game it looked phenomenal. Maybe there will be a new Switch by then:))))
It was quite disappointing to be honest. Some good titles but Switch has a phenomenal library of RPGs so adding more feels just bland. Nier is a great addition but Switch already has phenomenal hack and slash games. I feel the only genre that needs a serious boost is Third Person Shooters!!!! Why Platinum releases Nier and still hasn’t Vanquish?!!!!! There is still not a single mind blowing TPS and the fleet is still lead by RE4 which is a 17 year old game! Nintendo should cover their bases better
There are so many RPGs on Switch that I don’t really see the point to demand any more, when there is not a single AAA third person single player shooter on par with the likes of Last of Us2, Uncharted 4, Ratchet and Clank…etc. I would love to see MGS come back, and having a similar game like Mass Effect, or at least Vanquish, which should have happened long time ago- such excellent arcade TPS and Nintendo has a good long partnership with Platinum! Even though I prefer the Sci fi setting of MGS, could we at least get some Splinter Cell? Besides, maybe we could see the rumored Prince of Persia Sands of Time remake. I would be also glad if Switch got a new Resident Evil or RE VIII or RE2 remake, which was excellent. GTA V could be possible, or new Silent Hill? Nonetheless I would love to see Goldeneye, Banjo Kazooie , or Jet Force Gemini remakes. Also, regarding Zelda- capcom made the Minish Cap- could we see a third party make a new 2D Zelda?! Zelda remakes would be still the best to appear if a third party studio made them, but there is not much hope there:/ My last hope would be a new Sin And Punishment or at least remake or remaster of Star Successor or seeing some great older titles come back- like Soul Reaver 1, remake of Eternal Darkness, MGS Twin Snakes, DK racing, or even Lords of Shadow 1/2, Shadow of Colosus, Zone of the Enders 1/2 remasters.
@steventonysmith I agree that scores don’t matter, gameplay and story is what counts on my end. But if we consider third person shooters, show me a single third party single player game that is better than any of those I mentioned( except Arkham games). Have you actually played all of them so you can objectively judge and pass such a strong judgement? The only solid third person AAA title on Switch is RE4. Sony has Ratchet, Uncharted, MGSV, GTA V and Red Dead Redemption, Last of US- all amazing titles( not counting other ps3 remakes). Switch has a ton of great games, but if you know the library, you will have to agree that Switch severely lacks in this department. So arguably what third party Third Person single player games would be possible?! Well, switch can handle ps3 games and what are the very best TPS from PS3? Definitely those I mentioned- nobody would argue because Mass Effect, MGS, GTA, Vanquish are all games that ran on ps3 and there is nothing as highly polished in the genre as these games. I would be super happy if you mention any games that would have such high level of polish, great story and gameplay. Unfortunately Switch only has Sniper Elite, Saints Row, Red Faction, RE1, Zero and 4-6, Revelation 1/2, these are not bad games but still just solid B games. So what are the better choices out there since you seemed very confident that there are better possible options out there?!
@steventonysmith seems you know very little about one genre that severy lacks on Switch. If you are not adult enough to tolerate other peoples opinions and wishes, then go disturb someone else. Unless you can behave like an adult, if you are, and communicate in respectful manner. All games I mentioned are all games rated 90+ scores and they deserve it. I bet I am not alone, plus not many other games would generate so much profit on switch because these are some of the top ps3 titles. This is a huge disappointment- we all want a new Star Fox, F Zero, Metroid or Dread DLC, new Mario or 3D Donkey Kong, Metroid Trilogy, more Zelda news! This should better have a very solid third party games like Metal Gear HD collection or Twin Snakes, Mass Effect, Vanquish, and Batman Arkham games, or it’s a screw up!!!!!
@Cregglenator agree, the second game was quite good- in some aspects even better than Uncharted. But it’s a crime not having a Mass Effect on Switch- also no Vanquish? N64/GC and Wii games would be great, but not only hidden and locked within the NSO subscription, all games should be also available for a purchase! Everyone I know avoids the NSO just because it’s an unreliable access to retro content, and that wont compare with an the option of actually purchasing and owning the software in some form. Wii had the option so why not give consumers options?! Someone finds the subscription better to try some games, and if they like it they could still purchase them afterwards. Everyone would be happy!

One of the main points is how awesome/badass the character is, then how creative can you be with the combat and when we take the battle options of for example Duck Hunt and compare it to Sora- you Can get a a better sense of what my point is.I actually agree with you, all you said is totally right, but I still felt that Sora just had strongest support in Japan, not the US or EU. And I don’t think it’s bad to talk about it since this won’t be the last Smash game so the future choices might be impacted too. You tell me, who would you chose as the last character of you could change it?
Doomguy would be still better or Leon Kennedy. Even RE series has been loyal to Nintendo unlike Kingdom Hearts series that released as a SHI&@y cloud game. RE4 was exclusive for a long time to Gamecube and it’s maybe the best game in the franchise and started on Nintendo! That would be an epic appearance! Or James Bond from Goldeneye- instead of a lame Minecraft Steve:/

No but for sure, until they decide to take their games with respect the franchise deserves, and stop milking a dead cow. They have the most profitable franchise on the planet and could do far more with the franchise. This should be God of War, Metroid, Zelda, Metal Gear, Last of Us, Or Monster Hunter Rise level of polish. And finally realize that players today are not brain dead monkeys and that their game really needs a story- a more adult one too, decent characters and innovate gameplay. Even No No Kuni was a better Pokémon game overall, and that’s like a 10year old game. They just do lazy ass job and instead of making proper games every 4-6 years, they abuse players with their third versions and making sub par games all the time. What happened since Black 2?!!!!! The last proper well made Pokémon game?!!!!

It’s just insane how a franchise that’s actually the most profitable in the world I think, can evolve like 10x slower than even the worst competition. This would be an ok n64 game/ maybe gamecube. Super upsetting! Gamefreak should be so embarrassed and ashamed for keep releasing the exact same formula for like 30years, they lack any creativity, effort, lame team and work ethics, with no idea what good games are about- do they hire high schoolers to do their job, because that’s how it feels. They just want money and they do not care about the game community. Studios like this should be forbidden to develop games.They are like creepy dudes waving lollypops at little kids in front of their schools, and abusing it.Look at Zelda, it took a bold step forwards. They rely on the fact little kids will buy it, because for someone who is like 8 years old, it might be fine, but they totally ignore all the people who invested their time and money to support the franchise from the very start like myself! @MaikonCSGarcia you totally missed my point. I was not comparing any subscription services. I was comparing rare fan bases, which originated on N64- meaning most people who know these games started with Nintendo. Most Xbox players don’t even know Rare games-meaning…Rare games would definitely sell better on Nintendo platform than Xbox- that’s simple logic- and plus- Xbox sold around 40mil consoles in 7-8years/ Nintendo sold 85-90mil consoles in 4 years- even while covering fewer global markets( it entered China and Brazil recently, so it has even more potential. So this should make it quite clear why Microsoft lets Nintendo use some of their IP’s- because they sell better on Nintendo, and Nintendo has more than double the users today, so it’s quite simple to see what’s happening if you know the market.
@Strictlystyles SMTV, Metroid Dread, and Monster Hunter Rise!!!!!!- that’s definitely the most polished trio. But I would say MH Rise made more interesting changes within the series- Palamutes, Wire Bugs,…. Metroid and SMT V are great, but don’t stray too much from its predecessors. So I think MH deserved the most GOTY! Not saying it’s the best game of the three, just that it deserves the award the most.
@FTL i think it takes the creative process out if programmers just work with an updated engine for next gen because they don’t need to make any alternations and just work with what’s given to them. I remember the times when every studio had their own engine- golden times-each game felt more unique-now anyone can make a game. I think the Wii was just still SD because I more consumers at that time still had SDTV, so Nintendo worked along the major consumer base! Switch now is great, and I care less and less caring for power, but when some studios say no to converting some big games for Switch it’s super annoying- No Arkham games on Switch- no MGS, no Mass Effect, no GTAV, Vanquish…. In general no great polished TPS ( except for RE4) I want a Switch that handles smooth 60fps with great artwork. I think that’s not so much to ask Nintendo! I want a Nintendo console, that handles smooth gameplay ( even Zelda stutters in many areas and that’s lame for first party software) great artstyle, better analogue sticks, and enough power to handle the same complex AI as competition! I don’t care for graphics, but sometime Nintendo could push a little harder to meet the most important gaming specs.
@Pillowpants yeah, Switch is selling far better around the world than Xbox and PS, close to 100 Million in 4years- that’s a crazy accomplishment.plus Switch hasn’t even been selling in as many countries like PS ( Brazil and China) and still has almost the same sales as ps4 that’s been selling far longer and in more regions. Switch should be the best console if there was no ass kissing but plain figures.

@Expa0 Monster Hunter Rise and Shin Megami Tensei V are some of the best games out there considering all platforms! Plus, they are exclusives to Switch too. These are lame categories- they did it so vaguely to have more boost from more sponsors. Switch still had the best exclusives so this rating is not made by a solid gaming entity, just an event that seeks attention and money.
@LunacyJosh yeah also agree. Emerald had a great fun world, love the underwater temple that lead to discovering new legendaries. I felt more notion to play more Emerald after Sapphire, than playing Platinum after Diamond. Black 2 got me back into Pokemon- really enjoyed all we could do in that world. Then XY was not bad but Sun lost me. I grew up with Gold, and after playing all of them( except USUM, and Sword Shield) I feel Gold, Emerald and Black 2 should be at least top 5.
Sin and Punishment is such a great game, but I liked the platforming in the first more. Can we also include Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition?)))) that’s the crown jewel!!!!!!!!

@tanaka2687 What a terrible review. It just rethreads the gen consensus that has been floating around. It says at the end that it lacks Platinum Features- and it doesnt say exactly what- and I dont count that in the original you were not forced to use Exp share. This review doesnt elaborate at all on the dark world or battle colosseum. Seems like the person who wrote it obviously didnt even play it. Really TERRIBLE review! If the person writing played the past games, he/she would understand what the new players are expecting- if there are new fire types, if there are Mega evolutions, if the underground has any Pokemon not catchable in the overworld- and which are those, if there is battle colosseum, and which legendaries are catchable- and directly if we have the items in singleplayer to catch the likes of Darkrai,.....and so on, and most importantly- is Arceus catchable.......Non of these things are in this review, making me feel who are you hiring to write these reviews, that are supposed to answer these questions. Instead we get the general B.S. that any kid can just observe from the main trailers. Please we want more qualified people writing solid reviews who understand the series they talk about. Anyway, Rockstar outsourced a third party-which worked for them for quite some time, and they used Rockstar IP and Brand, it’s Rockstars damn responsibility to oversee work that’s being done for them, and Rockstar chose this third party!!!! You think if you are a boss of a company and your graphic designer miss-spells something on the company web- the boss can say: it not my fault, the it was the graphic designer! Please learn and point fingers, because many years ago-if a game game released, it was complete. Now with internet and after launch patches they don’t have a shame to release something that’s half cooked and we pay full price?! No WAY! We can’t send an astronaut to space and tell him after departure: btw, there is a new system, but we will fix it if it causes trouble! People today are getting lazier and less responsible, and we need to tell them that this practice is not acceptable!
@Mrpiccolo this is bull****, I still own the originals on ps2 and never encountered all these issues. Also, I tried to give Rockstar a feedback on their web and it’s a loop that doesn’t lead anywhere! So they just dont give a crap, just wanted to make us feel like they are resolving it. I encountered these issues and more: a) random texture appearing duplicated on a wall where it shouldn’t be-like second gate texture on a wall that flickers. B) helicopter lights passing through tunnels-when a helicopter followed me and I couldn’t hide from it even in places where I couldn’t be followed C) shadows of a car multiplied under the car in low res- had like three shadows behind the car that flickered D) the worst is the frame rate- because it’s difficult to sometime control the car that way! E) the day/night cycle creates shades that operate like clock work- few moments later a shade moves like 2m on. F) cars and subject appearing and disappearing at a really close range-sometime if I drive fast, a car appears out of nowhere and I crash, which is terrible. G) sometime I would hit a car, and if it rode across a hill, it would start floating in the air for a while. H) shadows pop in just almost next to the character.I) random sphere light source effect stuck on cars. J) some buildings gave out a huge glare that made me see nothing- like the building would become a gigantic mirror, and for a few seconds an entire street became snow white! And all these things are not all! They should feel ashamed for releasing games in such condition! Atrocious Practice, and even worse for a big company like Rockstar!!!!!

Switch has a ton of great games, but if you know the library, you will have to agree that Switch severely lacks in this department. So arguably what third party Third Person single player games would be possible?! Well, switch can handle ps3 games and what are the very best TPS from PS3? Definitely those I mentioned- nobody would argue because Mass Effect, MGS, GTA, Vanquish are all games that ran on ps3 and there is nothing as highly polished in the genre as these games. I would be super happy if you mention any games that would have such high level of polish, great story and gameplay. Unfortunately Switch only has Sniper Elite, Saints Row, Red Faction, RE1, Zero and 4-6, Revelation 1/2, these are not bad games but still just solid B games. So what are the better choices out there since you seemed very confident that there are better possible options out there?!

@steventonysmith seems you know very little about one genre that severy lacks on Switch. If you are not adult enough to tolerate other peoples opinions and wishes, then go disturb someone else. Disrespectful and judgemental/aggressive behavior is not tolerated here unless you wanna be kicked out of the group. Unless you can behave like an adult, if you are, and communicate in respectful manner. All games I mentioned are all games rated 90+ scores and they deserve it. I bet I am not alone, plus not many other games would generate so much profit on switch because these are some of the top ps3 titles. If you have better third party suggestions I would love to hear what those are!

This is a huge disappointment- we all want a new Star Fox, F Zero, Metroid or Dread DLC, new Mario or 3D Donkey Kong, Metroid Trilogy, more Zelda news! This should better have a very solid third party games like Metal Gear HD collection or Twin Snakes, Mass Effect, Vanquish, and Batman Arkham games, or it’s a screw up!!!!!

@Cregglenator agree, the second game was quite good- in some aspects even better than Uncharted. But it’s a crime not having a Mass Effect on Switch- also no Vanquish? They have such a long partnership with Platinum and there is no sight of one of the most fun arcade TPS. These are all just ps3 games! Even gta v should be on switch!

N64/GC and Wii games would be great, but not only hidden and locked within the NSO subscription, all games should be also available for a purchase! Everyone I know avoids the NSO just because it’s an unreliable access to retro content, and that wont compare with an the option of actually purchasing and owning the software in some form. Wii had the option so why not give consumers options?! Someone finds the subscription better to try some games, and if they like it they could still purchase them afterwards. Everyone would be happy!

@jedisquidward it would be immature basing a choice on favoritism, and it’s not really wise to judge so fast, when maybe you didn’t get fully what I wanted to say. One of the main points is how awesome/badass the character is, then how creative can you be with the combat and when we take the battle options of for example Duck Hunt and compare it to Sora- you Can get a a better sense of what my point is.I actually agree with you, all you said is totally right, but I still felt that Sora just had strongest support in Japan, not the US or EU. And I don’t think it’s bad to talk about it since this won’t be the last Smash game so the future choices might be impacted too. You tell me, who would you chose as the last character of you could change it?

Doomguy would be still better or Leon Kennedy. Even RE series has been loyal to Nintendo unlike Kingdom Hearts series that released as a SHI&@y cloud game. RE4 was exclusive for a long time to Gamecube and it’s maybe the best game in the franchise and started on Nintendo! That would be an epic appearance! I remember how hyped I was for DK64 but it wasn’t as awesome as the original Banjo, even though I had a lot of fun with the game, so they should definitely do a 3D DK with the same efforts as they put into Mario Odyssey:)

No but for sure, until they decide to take their games with respect the franchise deserves, and stop milking a dead cow. They have the most profitable franchise on the planet and could do far more with the franchise. This should be God of War, Metroid, Zelda, Metal Gear, Last of Us, Or Monster Hunter Rise level of polish. And finally realize that players today are not brain dead monkeys and that their game really needs a story- a more adult one too, decent characters and innovate gameplay. Even No No Kuni was a better Pokémon game overall, and that’s like a 10year old game. They just do lazy ass job and instead of making proper games every 4-6 years, they abuse players with their third versions and making sub par games all the time. What happened since Black 2?!!!!! @MaikonCSGarcia you totally missed my point. I was not comparing any subscription services. I was comparing rare fan bases, which originated on N64- meaning most people who know these games started with Nintendo. Most Xbox players don’t even know Rare games-meaning…Rare games would definitely sell better on Nintendo platform than Xbox- that’s simple logic- and plus- Xbox sold around 40mil consoles in 7-8years/ Nintendo sold 85-90mil consoles in 4 years- even while covering fewer global markets( it entered China and Brazil recently, so it has even more potential. So this should make it quite clear why Microsoft lets Nintendo use some of their IP’s- because they sell better on Nintendo, and Nintendo has more than double the users today, so it’s quite simple to see what’s happening if you know the market.

@Strictlystyles SMTV, Metroid Dread, and Monster Hunter Rise!!!!!!- that’s definitely the most polished trio. But I would say MH Rise made more interesting changes within the series- Palamutes, Wire Bugs,…. Metroid and SMT V are great, but don’t stray too much from its predecessors. So I think MH deserved the most GOTY! Not saying it’s the best game of the three, just that it deserves the award the most.

@FTL i think it takes the creative process out if programmers just work with an updated engine for next gen because they don’t need to make any alternations and just work with what’s given to them. I remember the times when every studio had their own engine- golden times-each game felt more unique-now anyone can make a game. I think the Wii was just still SD because I more consumers at that time still had SDTV, so Nintendo worked along the major consumer base! Switch now is great, and I care less and less caring for power, but when some studios say no to converting some big games for Switch it’s super annoying- No Arkham games on Switch- no MGS, no Mass Effect, no GTAV, Vanquish…. In general no great polished TPS ( except for RE4) I want a Switch that handles smooth 60fps with great artwork. I think that’s not so much to ask Nintendo! I want a Nintendo console, that handles smooth gameplay ( even Zelda stutters in many areas and that’s lame for first party software) great artstyle, better analogue sticks, and enough power to handle the same complex AI as competition! I don’t care for graphics, but sometime Nintendo could push a little harder to meet the most important gaming specs.

@Pillowpants yeah, Switch is selling far better around the world than Xbox and PS, close to 100 Million in 4years- that’s a crazy accomplishment.plus Switch hasn’t even been selling in as many countries like PS ( Brazil and China) and still has almost the same sales as ps4 that’s been selling far longer and in more regions. Switch should be the best console if there was no ass kissing but plain figures.

@Expa0 Monster Hunter Rise and Shin Megami Tensei V are some of the best games out there considering all platforms! Plus, they are exclusives to Switch too. These are lame categories- they did it so vaguely to have more boost from more sponsors. Switch still had the best exclusives so this rating is not made by a solid gaming entity, just an event that seeks attention and money.

@LunacyJosh yeah also agree. Emerald had a great fun world, love the underwater temple that lead to discovering new legendaries. I felt more notion to play more Emerald after Sapphire, than playing Platinum after Diamond. Black 2 got me back into Pokemon- really enjoyed all we could do in that world. Then XY was not bad but Sun lost me. I grew up with Gold, and after playing all of them( except USUM, and Sword Shield) I feel Gold, Emerald and Black 2 should be at least top 5.

Intentionally forcing people to buy ***** versions of those great games, just to test the market-obviously they wanted to pour as little resources into it as possible so they ignorantly just tapped the market this way and based on the results they would make adaptations to physical release- that’s a criminal practice- like selling alcohol that made people go blind, fixing it t later. No! If something gets released, it must be released with a set standard! Rockstar higher management is cheap pieces of bull****, for sacrificing the games reputation for the sake of money, while betraying the trust of loyal fans! If you were a fan you would understand- your complaint is too based in defending a review, that I could do without even playing the game myself, therefore what is your point by defending it? Clearly you are here to keep peace, and I am here to read a review from someone who has played the game and knows what the community needs to know to make a solid opinion whether its worth purchasing or not. @tanaka2687 What a terrible review. It just rethreads the gen consensus that has been floating around. It says at the end that it lacks Platinum Features- and it doesnt say exactly what- and I dont count that in the original you were not forced to use Exp share. This review doesnt elaborate at all on the dark world or battle colosseum. Seems like the person who wrote it obviously didnt even play it. Really TERRIBLE review! If the person writing played the past games, he/she would understand what the new players are expecting- if there are new fire types, if there are Mega evolutions, if the underground has any Pokemon not catchable in the overworld- and which are those, if there is battle colosseum, and which legendaries are catchable- and directly if we have the items in singleplayer to catch the likes of Darkrai,.....and so on, and most importantly- is Arceus catchable.......Non of these things are in this review, making me feel who are you hiring to write these reviews, that are supposed to answer these questions. Instead we get the general B.S. that any kid can just observe from the main trailers. Please we want more qualified people writing solid reviews who understand the series they talk about. Anyway, Rockstar outsourced a third party-which worked for them for quite some time, and they used Rockstar IP and Brand, it’s Rockstars damn responsibility to oversee work that’s being done for them, and Rockstar chose this third party!!!! You think if you are a boss of a company and your graphic designer miss-spells something on the company web- the boss can say: it not my fault, the it was the graphic designer! Please learn and point fingers, because many years ago-if a game game released, it was complete. Now with internet and after launch patches they don’t have a shame to release something that’s half cooked and we pay full price?! No WAY! We can’t send an astronaut to space and tell him after departure: btw, there is a new system, but we will fix it if it causes trouble! People today are getting lazier and less responsible, and we need to tell them that this practice is not acceptable!

@Mrpiccolo this is bull****, I still own the originals on ps2 and never encountered all these issues. Also, I tried to give Rockstar a feedback on their web and it’s a loop that doesn’t lead anywhere! So they just dont give a crap, just wanted to make us feel like they are resolving it. I encountered these issues and more: a) random texture appearing duplicated on a wall where it shouldn’t be-like second gate texture on a wall that flickers. B) helicopter lights passing through tunnels-when a helicopter followed me and I couldn’t hide from it even in places where I couldn’t be followed C) shadows of a car multiplied under the car in low res- had like three shadows behind the car that flickered D) the worst is the frame rate- because it’s difficult to sometime control the car that way! E) the day/night cycle creates shades that operate like clock work- few moments later a shade moves like 2m on. F) cars and subject appearing and disappearing at a really close range-sometime if I drive fast, a car appears out of nowhere and I crash, which is terrible. G) sometime I would hit a car, and if it rode across a hill, it would start floating in the air for a while. H) shadows pop in just almost next to the character.I) random sphere light source effect stuck on cars. J) some buildings gave out a huge glare that made me see nothing- like the building would become a gigantic mirror, and for a few seconds an entire street became snow white! And all these things are not all! They should feel ashamed for releasing games in such condition! Atrocious Practice, and even worse for a big company like Rockstar!!!!!
