Re: Every First-Party Nintendo Switch Game That Has Sold Over One Million Copies

Znake

Numbers sold doesn’t mean quality! If Cola sells billions of drinks, does it mean it’s a great product? I would cross out the Pokémon abominations from the list because they sell just because they market it toward little kids. Most long time fans have given up on these games long ago. Low quality, games made by greedy untalented and lazy people who abuse marketing toward children! Peak example of disgusting business tactics that should be illegal.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Is Targeting A 2024 Release For The Switch Successor

Znake

Yeah I definitely stretched it, but seeing how much people waste money, I honestly would be willing to pay like 500,- even 600,- if the device was really top portable tech. For me, I started enjoying Nintendo first party (except thrash Pokémon) much more than PlayStation’s and Switch became my main console so I would love to have a high tech Nintendo machine. Seems like you must like the Switch a lot too considering your collection:)

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Is Targeting A 2024 Release For The Switch Successor

Znake

@Giancarlothomaz people talk about burn in, but don’t really consider the facts. Are you ever gonna leave a stable image on the screen for 3-4 thousands hours? There are ways to avoid it. Also I wouldn’t say that Switch Oled was very expensive compared to ps5, and people buy new phones every year or two and phones are more expensive than the switch on average, so I feel making even 400-600,- usd console wouldn’t be a huge deal. Think about that if a Switch cost 500,-usd which it won’t, then it’s an investment 70,-usd a year and like 6,-usd/month… which is laughable when I see how much money people waste every day for total nonesense. I think I am not the only one who hates these mid gen renewals and I would rather pay a little more from the very start to buy a really well build high quality Nintendo system.

Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Has Now Sold Over 22 Million Copies, Closing In On Gold & Silver's Sales

Znake

This is the main problem of todays gaming. We measure success by quantity- plus the content is aimed to kids, who don’t know what’s ok, and nobody really speaks enough about how bad is the overall quality of these titles that are just overloaded by lack of solid gameplay design, technical issues and more. These are essentially 3DS games bloated to a current gen. Shame on Nintendo for accepting the current state of these releases- because this is already their 3rd game this gen. Arceus was already plagued with problems and they dare to release this again? I had high hopes with Legend Arceus, and after seeing all this mess, I quit Pokémon since the last solid Pokémon games were Black 2, then the company decided they can sell even digital pcs of crap to kids because they love the franchise and will buy the games in any shape, plus they totally sacrificed long time fans. This is the purest proof of digital abuse on consumers and that should be stoped- same like what sugar filled soda brands did with their marketing. Nintendo wake up! This is unacceptable quality for your standards!!!!!

Re: Talking Point: Would A Third Wave Of Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC Have Been Too Much?

Znake

We need at least two more waves!!!! And real Doom Guy, also more characters from 1st party IP’s like Astral Chain. Also Viewtiful Joe would be great, Leon Kennedy summoning Zombies, or Raziel from Soul Reaver, Tony Hawk or Alucard…. There are too many options so please give us more! Plus Smash needs to compete with the new Tekken and Street Fighter so more DLC is still cheaper than making a new game! Plus they should also release a physical version with all DLC!

Re: We're Itching For These Tasty Resident Evil Switch eShop Discounts

Znake

Cloud games discounted? That’s an abomination of gaming! Paying even 20bucks for something you can’t own is just plain nonesense. Cloud game should go for rental price of maybe 5,-USD and even then I would never ever spend anything for a cloud game! Cloud means nonexistent for most gamers I know and we will never give you money! Put some effort in like Doom Eternal did. with Panic Button and I will change my mind. Lazy Capcom!!!!!

Re: Top 100 Best Nintendo Games Of All Time

Znake

@molkom really good points! I agree that both games are great and I agree that some things are unnecessary. I liked the beasts too, but in TOTK each culture just had its own story overall, not just capture the beast. Crafting weapons I think makes things easier but both approaches are ok. But the ultra hand, the vertical teleportation, and recall are better to me at least. Then the smooth transition if you skydive or go directly to the depths. Also I loved in TOTK that each part of the world has different purpose- like Sky- ancient culture, depths super powerful beasts, some hidden temples, great rare resources and armor, you can fight old bosses too or defeated heroes. TOTK also has better temples, much bigger enemy diversity, and I like the utilization of the Sage skills more even if it can get funky time to time. The story in TOTK is amazing and much much deeper and sad too compared to BOTW which had minimal story but I agree that that atmosphere was maybe better. Just TOTK is very deep lore wise- how a super advanced civilization which disappeared thousands of years ago became like gods to the current civilization- great and deep analogy to poverty and religion today-Many great themes. And Minerva robot is great too. Plus all Kogha fights focus on developing mechs and the Yiga clan story is cool how they were the first to discover the depths. I could go on and on. One of my favourite games on ps2 was Dark Chronicle and here you fuse weapons, build your own house and can modify your own robot- far better than the bike in BOTW which was a misfit in my opinion. Also the options with fusing items with your shield-enemies bounce off, can create a skateboard, fuse shields with great swords, even fuse weapons with items… so many options. Plus many awesome mini quests- the sign posts, Korok transportation and more. And so many boss fights totall!!! In BOTW- just 4 beasts, desert mini boss, Kogha and Calamity Ganon. In TOTK you get 6 main bosses, and so many extra sub bosses- Frox, Gleeok elemental, Gleeok King, Battle Talus, Armored enemies and Lynels, Constructs, Gloom spawn and Phantom Ganon- amazing reference to Ocarina of Time! And most importantly Solid last boss fight-which was just so so in BOTW. Both are phenomenal games for sure, but I was speechless how much better TOTK is at least to me, and I love the franchise. I think it beats even Ocarina of Time for me. In the future I will definitely replay both again and I think it’s a good thing that both games are slightly different so it’s worth replaying them. But TOTK is better in so many ways that it’s crazy they managed to pull this off after already amazing first game. This game I call a masterpiece and nothing grabbed my attention as much- even the top games on my PlayStation. Super happy, this game was a blast. Just hope they add a master mode to make it even harder.

Re: Top 100 Best Nintendo Games Of All Time

Znake

There is no way Breath of the Wild being objectively rated higher than Tears of the Kingdom!!!!! I was in Love with BOTW but TOTK does everything so much better. Better World, so many sub bosses, more creativity with fusing anything together, better abilities, characters and a decent last boss fight, which was lame in BOTW. Also Depths, Sky as a bonus, finally some dungeons, so many great locations. Great weapon creations and a really good story! There is no way the first game could be rated higher in any regard!

Re: Soapbox: It's Time To Admit That F-Zero X Is The Best F-Zero

Znake

Guess the author of this article didn’t really play many racing games on N64- there was- Mario Kart 64, Wipe Out64, Wace Race, Diddy Kong Racing, Extreme G 1/2, Rush( a couple titles) F Zero, Carmagedon, and those are the games I own. There are probably even more and I feel those are even more diverse than what was available on the PlayStation 1. Nintendo Life, you should make sure your journalists know console gaming properly before writing Official articles!

Re: PlayStation Boss Doesn't Think Call Of Duty Appeals To Nintendo's Core Audience

Znake

Lol what childish comment by Sony:) Nintendo has some of the best first party games like Bayonetta, Astral Chain, Xenoblade, which are far from childish. Also, Doom Eternal was far more fun than on PlayStation for many gamers thanks to gyro controls….but I am sure the next Nintendo system will be also more powerful to better compete with more demanding main stream titles. Sony should take notice though that games are foremostly here for gameplay, and the best gameplay I found on Switch. Most Sony games I’ve been waiting for were little generic l and disappointing- like GOW Ragnarok,… many big titles seem more and more just copy and paste of their precursors and don’t offer anything really new, which pushed me lately as an more experienced gamer more toward Nintendo games.

Re: Soapbox: It's The Port I've Dreamed Of, But Can Switch Deliver The Batman We Need?

Znake

@Sequel Arkham City worked on WII U ages ago, now developers have more experience and Switch is more powerful than Wii U so there should be no issue for the first two games. Even Knight should run fine-dark environment and small corridors// streets with no need to render distant areas most of the time. Tears of the Kingdom is marvel in this regard, so I see no issues.

Re: Soapbox: It's The Port I've Dreamed Of, But Can Switch Deliver The Batman We Need?

Znake

If Doom Eternal can run flawlessly and with awesome motion controls, all games don’t need to render long distances since you’re almost always surrounded by buildings. There is a s no excuse if this game doesn’t run well. There are some great ports on Switch already, so they’d better not dare mess up 🆙 ne of the most anticipated titles I’ve been waiting for for ages!!!!!

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Is Now The "Highest Rated Game Of All Time" On OpenCritic

Znake

Zelda TOTK just became my favourite game of all time! I ve been playing games over 32 years and I’ve been kinda tired of games because nothing really blew me away even RE4 remake, FFVIIR, Red Dead R2, GOWR,MGSV…Game design became very rigid these days since games became money makers and developers wanna play it safe. This is the most refreshing experience I’ve had in years. I’ve been totally hooked for 2weeks and that’s something. Many games make me feel like: I wish it had this or that, something needs fixing…but this?!!! No complaints at all beside a rare framerate dips but nothing that would affect gameplay, great story, phenomenal gameplay, it’s a dream come true! The world and everything in it is so interconnected, and so beautiful. Flawless game and I feel it set a new standard that won’t be easily beaten. This showed me, how I wasted time with games where I tried to find the same excitement like when I played Ocarina of Time, or MGS1/2, and this game blows every game out of the park even Bloodborne, Arkham City, RE4, Final Fantasy VII, and many others. This is a Zelda on steroids and to me it feels more Next Gen than the best ps5 games like GOW Ragnarok, RE4R. Congratulations Nintendo- this is a true Masterpiece!!!!

Re: Best Zelda Games Of All Time

Znake

TOTK is a far better game than BOTW! It improved everything in marvelous ways! And to me it’s the best game of all time already along with Link to the Past and OOT.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Wins 'Best RPG' At Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards 2022

Znake

Another proof these awards are just about money and marketing, because nominating Pokemon Scarlet for so many categories, when the game is total garbage just proves enough! Even Gamefreak was nominated?! That’s a joke! It’s like because parents buy kids soda and kids loving it because they don’t know any better, nominating soda as the healthiest drink.

Re: Review: Bayonetta Origins: Cereza And The Lost Demon - A Placid Prequel For Platinum's Star

Znake

So disappointing, they could have used these resources to make a proper sequel or dlc to Bayonetta 3. Clearly they failed with B3 (I liked many things about it though, just wish it was more polished and it could be my favourite game in the series) so they try to make quick cash- but 60,-usd for this type of experimental indie game feels ridiculous! It’s like crapping on the loyal fans! It’s on the fans fault B3 didn’t sell so well. Platinum clearly didn’t polish their last game- Jeanne design terrible, her death even worse, Bayo design felt worse to me than B2, she lacked her true character, the cutscenes felt cheap compared to Bayonetta 2, and I wish the levels had the same depth of character interactions as Egypt and France multiverses. Otherwise it could have been the very best game in the series. Now giving people who love the series this? Do games just have to be about money and making them on kids?! Adult audience has the purchasing power, but it’s more difficult to impress and adults won’t buy familiar games sometime so this will just make games dumber! Great streak Nintendo- first you allow Gamefreak to cripple Pokemon with S&V and now cripple the best heck and slash there was by giving us this? Hate the executive of Nintendo who decides this! Wish Iwata was still here!!!!!

Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 4 Launches Next Week

Znake

So weak! Just two interesting tracks! History has so many great MK tracks and they go the easy way and port Tour tracks! That’s not ok! Plus nobody asks for new items! New weapons could make the game so much more exciting! Why don’t they make more new levels from other video games since we have Hyrule Castle! How about a Metroid Rush, or a lot of air battles which could be in a Star Fox level- Corneria Assault! Or bring interplanetary travel like from Jet Force Gemini! Or a track from Super Mario Galaxy where you could travel on spheres with shifting gravity! Instead we get cheap ports of uncreating mobile tracks!

Re: Capcom Ending Resident Evil 7 Cloud Rental Service On Switch

Znake

That’s the biggest issue of cloud games and a reason I will never buy a single cloud game! If you buy it, one day the server closes and your game with it. It’s like someone breaks into my home and destroys a game in my library and then just leaves and companies call this a fair business?!!!! If cloud version was like 5,- bucks I wouldn’t care, but these are full price! This is a legal theft if a consumer can own the product for a lifetime with physical versions for the same price.

Re: Best Star Fox Games Of All Time

Znake

@Nintendo4Sonic I feel like the scores for Starlink were made purely out of hype. The combat is just super boring. Starfox is about time pressure and high score, multiple paths and finding secrets paths in levels to make each playthrough unique and finding the paths where you can cumulate the highest score. It’s sad that Starlink just created a lot of hype only because it borrowed No Man Sky’s real time interplanetary travel-which doesn’t suit the arcade style gameplay which is essential for Star Fox. SF64 3D and 64ver was overall the best experience. Assault wasn’t bad but clunky at times. I would say Zero could be the best, but they added some missions that were not super fun, otherwise it’s a better version of SF64. I liked how you could follow an enemy and if you chase him long enough, you will find a new passage to another planet for example. I also struggled with the controls at first, but once I learned it, it just clicked and became absolute marvel to play. Some people also complained about the cockpit view, but I don’t get it-you could just press a button at any time and switch the view at any time to your preference. Zero has its share of a few not so fun missions-but luckily just a few. Starlink is utter trash SF game- no real fan of Starfox would ever rate that game high, and everyone I know who bought it out of excitement and for love of SF64 just started, and stopped playing after a while because it’s just not a fun game.

Re: Best Star Fox Games Of All Time

Znake

@sixrings I bet you could t learn the controls, because if you could, you would be able to appreciate how precise it was, plus the cockpit view could be easily swapped in a press of a buttton any second. I respect your opinion and understand that not every gamer has the skills to master some controls, but it’s not fair since some people(and I don’t mean you) just lack any patience and just discredit a game because they can’t play it? If someone can’t play FPS or Mario, doesn’t mean the games are bad, these people should just play the games that suit them.

Re: Best Star Fox Games Of All Time

Znake

@Fuecoco finally people who understand the series! Starlink is just a boring mess. I saw a ton of people comparing StarLink and Zero, and after experiencing both, most people would admit that ZERO was more fun, if they weren’t lazy to learn the controls! Plus it was made by Platinum! Come on!

Re: Best Star Fox Games Of All Time

Znake

@Nintendo4Sonic exactly, most people were just lazy to learn new controls! Plus Starlink just looked pretty, included space travel but lacked the soul of the series! Any fan knows that learning the railroad levels and finding hidden paths through the galaxy was the best part of it and I loved playing through the game different ways each time. Starlink is a boring fetch quest game that shouldn’t be even considered Star Fox just because it has the character in it.

Re: Best Star Fox Games Of All Time

Znake

You can’t be serious! Every fan of the original SF64 would rank Star Fox Zero far above Starlink! Zero had its faults, but it was a far more enjoyable experience than the cheap Ubisoft take on the series which wasn’t originally even a main Starfox game to begin with-Starlink lacks the fun gameplay elements of Starfox and fills the world with boring side quests! Platinum maintained the Arcady feel of the original and some additions were hit of miss but overall far better!

Re: Metroid Prime Engineer "Let Down" By Exclusion Of Original Credits In Remaster

Znake

@RiasGremory many people get screwed over and don’t complain so just because others don’t complain doesn’t mean they are ok with it. Now there are younger audiences playing it for the first time and they should know who to give credit to! Once you design a car would you credit someone who cleans it? There is no excuse for not mentioning the real authors who created one of the highest rated games of all time! This is not about whining but respecting authorship. Plus we should really appreciate that somebody stands up for the team when necessary. Today people see bad stuff happen, and do nothing. That’s a terrible behavior. Respect to the original Retro Team! Thanks for creating this Masterpiece!!!!!

Re: Metroid Prime Engineer "Let Down" By Exclusion Of Original Credits In Remaster

Znake

@B3RTAY but Retro team created the game. The latest teams just improved what was there-they didn’t create this experience like the original team. And this experience-while looking great is 1:1 replica of the original. Different case was Resident Evil 2 remake. The original artists deserve most credits, the remaster artists should be secondary.

Re: Metroid Prime Engineer "Let Down" By Exclusion Of Original Credits In Remaster

Znake

That’s awful, and I think in terms or remasters-the original game creators should be mentioned first! If I restore a painting of Mona Lisa, I won’t be the original artist and I have not created anything. Improving what has already been there if done well is great work, but nothing compared to creating the full game from scratch. This is a shame!
