Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Is Now The "Highest Rated Game Of All Time" On OpenCritic

Znake

Zelda TOTK just became my favourite game of all time! I ve been playing games over 32 years and I’ve been kinda tired of games because nothing really blew me away even RE4 remake, FFVIIR, Red Dead R2, GOWR,MGSV…Game design became very rigid these days since games became money makers and developers wanna play it safe. This is the most refreshing experience I’ve had in years. I’ve been totally hooked for 2weeks and that’s something. Many games make me feel like: I wish it had this or that, something needs fixing…but this?!!! No complaints at all beside a rare framerate dips but nothing that would affect gameplay, great story, phenomenal gameplay, it’s a dream come true! The world and everything in it is so interconnected, and so beautiful. Flawless game and I feel it set a new standard that won’t be easily beaten. This showed me, how I wasted time with games where I tried to find the same excitement like when I played Ocarina of Time, or MGS1/2, and this game blows every game out of the park even Bloodborne, Arkham City, RE4, Final Fantasy VII, and many others. This is a Zelda on steroids and to me it feels more Next Gen than the best ps5 games like GOW Ragnarok, RE4R. Congratulations Nintendo- this is a true Masterpiece!!!!

TOTK is a far better game than BOTW! It improved everything in marvelous ways! And to me it’s the best game of all time already along with Link to the Past and OOT.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Wins 'Best RPG' At Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards 2022

Znake

Another proof these awards are just about money and marketing, because nominating Pokemon Scarlet for so many categories, when the game is total garbage just proves enough! Even Gamefreak was nominated?! That’s a joke! It’s like because parents buy kids soda and kids loving it because they don’t know any better, nominating soda as the healthiest drink.

Re: Review: Bayonetta Origins: Cereza And The Lost Demon - A Placid Prequel For Platinum's Star

Znake

So disappointing, they could have used these resources to make a proper sequel or dlc to Bayonetta 3. Clearly they failed with B3 (I liked many things about it though, just wish it was more polished and it could be my favourite game in the series) so they try to make quick cash- but 60,-usd for this type of experimental indie game feels ridiculous! It’s like crapping on the loyal fans! It’s on the fans fault B3 didn’t sell so well. Platinum clearly didn’t polish their last game- Jeanne design terrible, her death even worse, Bayo design felt worse to me than B2, she lacked her true character, the cutscenes felt cheap compared to Bayonetta 2, and I wish the levels had the same depth of character interactions as Egypt and France multiverses. Otherwise it could have been the very best game in the series. Now giving people who love the series this? Do games just have to be about money and making them on kids?! Adult audience has the purchasing power, but it’s more difficult to impress and adults won’t buy familiar games sometime so this will just make games dumber! Great streak Nintendo- first you allow Gamefreak to cripple Pokemon with S&V and now cripple the best heck and slash there was by giving us this? Hate the executive of Nintendo who decides this! Wish Iwata was still here!!!!!

Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 4 Launches Next Week

Znake

So weak! Just two interesting tracks! History has so many great MK tracks and they go the easy way and port Tour tracks! That’s not ok! Plus nobody asks for new items! New weapons could make the game so much more exciting! Why don’t they make more new levels from other video games since we have Hyrule Castle! How about a Metroid Rush, or a lot of air battles which could be in a Star Fox level- Corneria Assault! Or bring interplanetary travel like from Jet Force Gemini! Or a track from Super Mario Galaxy where you could travel on spheres with shifting gravity! Instead we get cheap ports of uncreating mobile tracks!

Re: Capcom Ending Resident Evil 7 Cloud Rental Service On Switch

Znake

That’s the biggest issue of cloud games and a reason I will never buy a single cloud game! If you buy it, one day the server closes and your game with it. It’s like someone breaks into my home and destroys a game in my library and then just leaves and companies call this a fair business?!!!! If cloud version was like 5,- bucks I wouldn’t care, but these are full price! This is a legal theft if a consumer can own the product for a lifetime with physical versions for the same price.

Re: Best Star Fox Games Of All Time

Znake

@Nintendo4Sonic I feel like the scores for Starlink were made purely out of hype. The combat is just super boring. Starfox is about time pressure and high score, multiple paths and finding secrets paths in levels to make each playthrough unique and finding the paths where you can cumulate the highest score. It’s sad that Starlink just created a lot of hype only because it borrowed No Man Sky’s real time interplanetary travel-which doesn’t suit the arcade style gameplay which is essential for Star Fox. SF64 3D and 64ver was overall the best experience. Assault wasn’t bad but clunky at times. I would say Zero could be the best, but they added some missions that were not super fun, otherwise it’s a better version of SF64. I liked how you could follow an enemy and if you chase him long enough, you will find a new passage to another planet for example. I also struggled with the controls at first, but once I learned it, it just clicked and became absolute marvel to play. Some people also complained about the cockpit view, but I don’t get it-you could just press a button at any time and switch the view at any time to your preference. Zero has its share of a few not so fun missions-but luckily just a few. Starlink is utter trash SF game- no real fan of Starfox would ever rate that game high, and everyone I know who bought it out of excitement and for love of SF64 just started, and stopped playing after a while because it’s just not a fun game.

Re: Best Star Fox Games Of All Time

Znake

@sixrings I bet you could t learn the controls, because if you could, you would be able to appreciate how precise it was, plus the cockpit view could be easily swapped in a press of a buttton any second. I respect your opinion and understand that not every gamer has the skills to master some controls, but it’s not fair since some people(and I don’t mean you) just lack any patience and just discredit a game because they can’t play it? If someone can’t play FPS or Mario, doesn’t mean the games are bad, these people should just play the games that suit them.

Re: Best Star Fox Games Of All Time

Znake

@Fuecoco finally people who understand the series! Starlink is just a boring mess. I saw a ton of people comparing StarLink and Zero, and after experiencing both, most people would admit that ZERO was more fun, if they weren’t lazy to learn the controls! Plus it was made by Platinum! Come on!

Re: Best Star Fox Games Of All Time

Znake

@Nintendo4Sonic exactly, most people were just lazy to learn new controls! Plus Starlink just looked pretty, included space travel but lacked the soul of the series! Any fan knows that learning the railroad levels and finding hidden paths through the galaxy was the best part of it and I loved playing through the game different ways each time. Starlink is a boring fetch quest game that shouldn’t be even considered Star Fox just because it has the character in it.

Re: Best Star Fox Games Of All Time

Znake

You can’t be serious! Every fan of the original SF64 would rank Star Fox Zero far above Starlink! Zero had its faults, but it was a far more enjoyable experience than the cheap Ubisoft take on the series which wasn’t originally even a main Starfox game to begin with-Starlink lacks the fun gameplay elements of Starfox and fills the world with boring side quests! Platinum maintained the Arcady feel of the original and some additions were hit of miss but overall far better!

Re: Metroid Prime Engineer "Let Down" By Exclusion Of Original Credits In Remaster

Znake

@RiasGremory many people get screwed over and don’t complain so just because others don’t complain doesn’t mean they are ok with it. Now there are younger audiences playing it for the first time and they should know who to give credit to! Once you design a car would you credit someone who cleans it? There is no excuse for not mentioning the real authors who created one of the highest rated games of all time! This is not about whining but respecting authorship. Plus we should really appreciate that somebody stands up for the team when necessary. Today people see bad stuff happen, and do nothing. That’s a terrible behavior. Respect to the original Retro Team! Thanks for creating this Masterpiece!!!!!

Re: Metroid Prime Engineer "Let Down" By Exclusion Of Original Credits In Remaster

Znake

@B3RTAY but Retro team created the game. The latest teams just improved what was there-they didn’t create this experience like the original team. And this experience-while looking great is 1:1 replica of the original. Different case was Resident Evil 2 remake. The original artists deserve most credits, the remaster artists should be secondary.

Re: Metroid Prime Engineer "Let Down" By Exclusion Of Original Credits In Remaster

Znake

That’s awful, and I think in terms or remasters-the original game creators should be mentioned first! If I restore a painting of Mona Lisa, I won’t be the original artist and I have not created anything. Improving what has already been there if done well is great work, but nothing compared to creating the full game from scratch. This is a shame!

Re: Platinum Celebrates Metal Gear Rising's 10th Anniversary Later This Month

Znake

@locky-mavo you might be right, but I wonder what else could come out for Switch after the last main first party game-Zelda, lands on the Switch. If the new console won’t come out soon, they need to push more big games, and this would be a good opportunity. My hopes of course aren’t high, but it would be so strange with the success of Switch, almost zero needed work since there are already Wii U ports in terms of Mass Effect and Arkham games. Who knows, fingers crossed!

Re: Video: Digital Foundry's Technical Analysis Of GoldenEye 007 On Switch

Znake

@robr some games are unplayable, but N64 gen games have more fixed camera angles and Z targeting and Goldeneye maintains horizontal aiming almost entirely, so vertical aiming or camera control is not necessary. If these game were unplayable, they wouldn’t be rated as the best games of all time. I agree that that could add extra setting for some, but I don’t think it’s neccessary. The bigger issue here I feel is preservation of games and that nobody minds having these games on NSO only. How many people would be interested in Physical version of Goldeneye 007 for Switch? Because one day the NSO will end and these N64 games will disappear along with it.

Re: Platinum Celebrates Metal Gear Rising's 10th Anniversary Later This Month

Znake

@locky-mavo maybe you didn’t understand?! My arguments pointed to the meson issue which are usually legal-which are none here. And why would the issue be to put money on the table-that’s meaningless when you have 120 million Switch owners or more. Plus this genre severely lacks on Switch so the higher chance there is people would actually buy it. The only titles on Switch under third person single player shooters are B tier games like RE5/6 or Sniper Elite?! So there is not a single game that would top the polish and gameplay of Vanquish. Nintendo and Sega would make a lot of money on the Switch release.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry's Technical Analysis Of GoldenEye 007 On Switch

Znake

I don’t get all the crybabies that can’t play a game that just controls differently-so what?! Back then, each game had its own button mapping. Just because we live in an age that every company uses the same layout does t mean there is an issue with the game-people are just lazy to adapt to the original. Same story with Star Fox Zero- new controls that were so great after getting used to, but nobody wanted to learn something different. Humans are made to adapt, not wait for the environment to adapt based on their needs 😂.

Re: Platinum Celebrates Metal Gear Rising's 10th Anniversary Later This Month

Znake

@locky-mavo that would be even more weird dont you think? Mega Drive Collection is on Switch and recent Sonic mascot too-Sonic Frontiers-a Sega main IP landed on Switch, so there is no reason why Vanquish couldn’t be released if both Platinum and Sega release their other games on the system and have a good relationship.

Re: Video: With 100 Days To Go, What Do You Want To See In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?

Znake

@StarPoint great points, I totally agree. I also want More adult themes like in Majora and wish for amazing soundtrack! I also wish Link wasn’t this teen hero anymore-why not having him travel into future where Link is like 40 years old really super experienced powerful Hero. Some cool Masks Transformations-imagine Link turning into Skulltula if he could curse himself and could climb super fast, plus all the possibilities with past Masks from MM. Also work deeper into how equipment and weapons influence each other. Cool items and magic, and we all need a really amazing Water Temple! So underwater environments are necessary! I would be also happy if Link could travel into the world of Ocarina of Time and revisit some well known locations there. More diverse enemies-and have enemies cooperate more together. I also loved how link could use his shield as a snowboard-I wish more of his equipment had more use-like stabbing a sword into a wall and attaching a rope-for swinging. Also like in Awakenings and Twilight-have item combos. I would love to see link finding really cool magic items that wouldn’t be necessary to finish the game but gave Link some cool abilities.

Re: Video: One Month In, What Are Your Predictions For The Switch's 2023?

Znake

Switch finally needs the last gems from ps3 era like Mass Effect, Vanquish, Lords of Shadow 1&2 and Batman Arkham games. There are no AAA single player 3rd person shooters on Switch and seeing how great RE engine is on Switch and seeing the success of MH Rise, I can’t believe Switch got stupid cloud versions. There should be a new AAA exclusive RE game on Switch. Also we need a long overdue Metroid Prime Trilogy, Zelda-TP/WW, maybe new 2D Zelda, and new 3D Donkey Kong. New Mario game along with the movie. New StarFox would be awesome or atleast polished SF Zero with a dlc like Bowsers Fury. More GC games- like MGS Twin Snakes or Etrnal Darkness, F Zero GX or Viewtiful Joe. More 2D HD remakes-DQ3 or Chrono Trigger. I would be also happy for Super Metroid remake in Metroid Dread engine and DLC to Dread. Most importantly no more CLOUD games-since nobody buys those anyway! Just give us anew Switch more powerful than Steam Deck so their silly fun boys can’t make fun of the Switch:) the END!
