Yeah I'm pretty sure they will introduce another "loyalty" program. If they don't I'm honestly quite disappointed. It's not a huge deal but I love spending that sweet gold.
XCX is great, played it about 200 hours back in Wii U era. But Prime 4 is where it's at. I'm ready to play it on old or new platform, which ever gets here first.
Would have bought these two years ago. Or even some months ago but not anymore. It's suprisingly hard to find replacements that actually have all the necessary features.
Split Pad Pro is great but no gyro. I also bought Steelplay Twin Pads but those have the gyro working in weird steering wheel style which doesn't really work in fps games. Weird decision.
All in all, I'm already fully entered the Switch 2 train to hypeville so no new accessories for the OG.
Great news, although I have played all of them before. I never finished Bunker for some reason so I'm gonna do that on Switch, my horror platform of choice.
SOMA is pretty amazing for fans of creepy sci-fi and Bunker is the second best of the series, almost topping the first one.
If it's 30€ I'll wait for a discount. I have my eyes on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series right now but the price for the bundle is a bit steep for me right now.
@LikelySatan The controls in Dusk are divine on Switch. Absolutely amazing game. I've been playing all the classics (the whole Doom series and Quake and so on) and modern retro "boomer shooters" in the past year and Wrath I will definitely get. Looks amazing.
Switch is a great platform for metroidvania type of games. Hope it runs well enough. Can't wait to not know where to go next! (No, seriously it's really frustrating)
I used to play this a lot in the late 90's. I had absolutely no idea what the game was about but enjoyed it none the less. The stage design was/is pretty weird and can feel fan-made at times. Crazy game and a significant part of my gaming history.
I played both games of the series on DS back in the day. Being a horror fan it was awesome just to see any horror game on the console and these were actually good ones. Some of the enemies were pretty menacing.
Many Sunsoft games were top-notch. Blaster Master, Batman and Journey to Silius were some of my favorites from the NES era. Awesome soundtracks as well!
@CJD87 My memory is a bit hazy but if I remember correctly it was Our Lady of the Charred Visage that I suffered with a lot while Tres Angustias only took one try.
Sometimes it's just a matter of good days and bad days and other factors too. It's still very interesting how people have such different experiences with stuff like that. It must have something to do with the fact that the whole game is pretty tough so there is not much of linear rise in the difficulty.
@CJD87 Yeah, they made the last boss quite a bit harder. Took some effort for sure but I defeated it quite confidently after a couple of tries. I read people's experiences with the game and it seems some bosses were hard for others and easy for some. One mid-tier boss I defeated first try while one made me almost give up completely. Great game all in all if not a bit punishing.
They are one of the greatest developers so it's good business is blooming for them. They also treat their main series well with not too many compromises which makes me happy.
I enjoy an occasional RPG but all these anime themed games are kinda blending together in my mind. Also excessive button mashing doesn't really do it for me. Timing based is okay but I prefer (at least semi) turn-based.
Yeah, Nintendo's hardware can hardly run their first party games. I think they will and should address this issue in the future. It's quite shocking to see relatively simple looking games with frame rate dips, like Link's Awakening when you enter a busy screen.
I'm not saying they should enter the race for the most powerful console but they should find the balance. If and when they have increasingly ambitious games then the hardware should match. 🤷🏻
Haven't even tried it yet but since it's my all-time favorite game I reckon I'd still rate it a perfect 10. Having bought my first Switch last summer I STILL have BotW unplayed and next in line. And now this. Metroid being way shorter I guess Samus cuts in. Sorry Link.
This is so weird in 2023. Subscription based services have made gaming widely available and even cheap. On PC you can get legit free high quality games all the time for you to keep permanently.
Nintendo gives you a change to try out a card game for a week.
A game this short shouldn't be as uninteresting as it was at times. The best parts I enjoyed maybe even more than RE2 but this is a flawed game in the end. Definitely worth checking out if you're into RE series though.
Yes, looks great. Nice to get to play this one. The original release was weird. I remember there being some english translation for it on Wii but it seemed like a hassle and I couldn't bother with it.
I start to feel very old, yes 😂 I bought SML2: 6 Golden Coins on a school field trip and loved it obviously. I already had Wario Land before that which had the superior art direction if you ask me but SML2 felt more like Super Mario World which I was very familiar at the time. Youngsters today will never know the pain of trying to see what the heck is going on in that little dim green lcd and for that I am glad.
The first version of the game came bundled with my PS4 back in the day. Later, after some update (NEXT, maybe?) I hopped back in and ended with a platinum trophy. I hardly recognise the game now.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I also have XC3 waiting for me at the delivery box but since I only got 30 hours in XC2 it won't enter my game slot any time soon. Loving the second one though but can't wait. Also, huuuuge backlog on PS4.
Oh wow, I remember some hype around this one. The Wii days were crazy. So many lack-lustre games but also greatness. The Conduit was kind of cool if I remember correctly and I was also interested in The Grinder even though to this day I don't know what Left4Dead was all about 😂
I have it on SNES so no-buy for me. Originally played it on Sega Mega Drive or Genesis if you will, but never beat it. Bought it 2-3 years ago and still haven't beat it. Great game though.
I've played lots of horror games and in my books this is one of the best. It has bit of a walking simulator thing going on but the sheer amount of visual tricks and atmosphere makes this a great piece of entertainment. I got actual goosebumps most of the time while playing this. A perfect combo of awesomeness and chills.
9/10 from me, the only downsides being the somewhat slow controls and the lack of proper gameplay which are ultimately minor problems overshadowed by the mansion and its demonic nature.
If I had a Switch I'd be interested. Looks like it has all the elements of a good side-scroller.
Glad to see the love for Alien Infestation. That was a great game apart from the last boss. Maybe I did something wrong but I found myself jumping and shooting with a pistol in a blind spot like a cheater for half an hour but beat it finally :/ I don't think that was supposed to go like that.
@Shiryu Can't listen to the samples right now, but based on your stuff in general I'm sure it's great! Hopefully you included Tallon Overworld 2, that one always brings tears to my eyes :´)
I think I kinda rushed this through on 3DS but it was fun and the amount of references was overwhelming for an 80's/90's kid like myself. Good stuff, good stuff.

Re: Switch 2 Supply Chain Figures Reportedly Revealed Ahead Of 2025 Launch
Usually I wait for price drops but this time I think I'll bite the bullet and secure one at launch. I just need to see the launch price first.
Re: Acclaimed Horror Hit 'Soma' Is Finally Coming To Switch
@GravyThief It was generally received well. Not my favorite but fairly solid nonetheless.

Re: Another Code: Recollection Remakes Two Cult Classics On Switch in January 2024

Not too fond of the art style but platforming does look quite fun. It's a sale buy for me.
Re: Poll: How Many Of You Have Actually Visited 'Minus World' In Super Mario Bros.?
My cool uncle knew about this and of course I respected him even more after he told me.
Not sure if we actually bothered trying it back then with me having the Game Genie and all but I'm pretty sure I did it later in life in some form.

Having played Prodeus some time ago and currently playing through the OG Doom series, this is right up my alley.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Duel - Metroid Prime Remastered
EU/NA is a bit dull and the colours on the japanese one are all over the place. Quite literally.
Best game ever though and already downloaded so can't bother with the cover art 🤗

Re: First-Person Horror Game 'Charon's Staircase' Ascends Onto Switch In October

I think handheld is pretty perfect for horror.
Re: Prodeus Brings Old-School DOOM-Like Carnage To Switch Next Week
Thought this was going to be another 'meh' pixel art retro thing. Well, I wasn't exactly completely wrong but this looks quite amazing.
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC Introduces New Hero, Swimsuits, Wave 2 Out October
Slightly creepy with the body being so small and that neck seems quite long.
And.. um, swimsuits?
Seriously loving the game though. Started yesterday and seems like they fixed all of my main gripes with the second one.
Re: Hori Officially Announces Switch Split Pad Compact Western Release
So next we're gonna get Split Pad Mini which is just a regular joy-con without all the features?
I bought the Split Pad Pro only because it's big. I really don't feel this new design.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I also have XC3 waiting for me at the delivery box but since I only got 30 hours in XC2 it won't enter my game slot any time soon. Loving the second one though but can't wait. Also, huuuuge backlog on PS4.
