I've accidentally pressed the button a couple of times but I'll probably never need this feature. I've subscribed to NSO for years though and enjoy the retro games. It's not even expensive at all if you do it right.
One little friend of mine is all about Lego City Undercover on Wii U so I got it on Switch 2 a while back to be able to play with him when I pay them a visit. The bigger display of S2 made the lower resolution look less than desirable but it looks really good now. Also checked Alien Isolation but the game already looked awesome so it's hard to tell, but I'm sure it's somewhat crispier now. Fatal Frame 5 looks pretty good too.
A VERY welcome update! I basically want to replay all my S1 games now.
I never played docked on Switch 1 and I still play plenty of S1 games on Switch 2 so this could be huge. Why they shadowdrop things like this is beyond me 😯
I still don't fully understand what Tomodachi Life is about but I'd really like to get excited about something light-hearted and silly. The real world seems to be a bit of a dumpster fire right now.
The performance could be better, especially when it's not the best looking game. I'm still looking forward to it, I love the series and I'm ready to compromise just so I can play the game.
Capcom is suddenly the hottest name in gaming and they sure seem to be pretty lit. Requiem selling like hot cakes and Pragmata just around the corner. Good for them honestly. Single player games too which is awesome.
@HXLXIII Maybe you're thinking of Silent Hill f? The latest new game is Maiden of black water, originally released on Wii U more than ten years ago. They released it much later on different platforms and FF4 also came to Switch among several other platforms. But no new games in 10 years.
Black Flag was such a great game. I played the awful Wii U port that could hardly maintain 30 fps but I still completed the game 100%. I'm not even that into pirate stuff but it was just a great game.
Was expecting at least an 8. I've played it before of course so I know what to expect but I'll definitely wait till they add DLSS and gyro and maybe even some bug fixes. I'm still glad to finally see Fallout on Nintendo platform 🥲
We've seen the "hair issue" in several games now. I wish someone comes up with a solution that the Switch 2 can handle. Otherwise this looks unreal running on Nintendo hardware.
I'll at least try it. I played it for couple of hours years ago but it was just too much to handle. What's the learning curve nowadays and should I expect to use money on it to get a better experience?
Like many others have already mentioned, the lack of gyro controls is unfortunate. I think I'll wait. Gyro controls really were a game changer. Pun intended, probably.
I'm probably not going to buy it full-priced but I've been online all day today, searching for hands-on commentary about the game. Haven't found anything yet.
Finished Mario & Luigi Brothership (god it was long). Borrowed The Thing Remastered from library and going to check it out. I have pre-ordered Fatal Frame 2 and RE Requiem of course is on my list but it's just too expensive right now. Really want to re-play XCX too with the S2 upgrade. Must purchase it first but money is tight.
Ok, this looks even cooler than I thought. The slightly boring environment in the demo seems to be just a small part of the game. Can't wait to see how Switch 2 performs, some of the areas seem really open.
Great demo for once. Straight to the point and did a good job introducing the main mechanics. I enjoyed it a lot. The environment was a bit same-y but it will probably be way more varied and fleshed out in the full game. I honestly hope this new IP will succeed.
I don't know what genre this belongs to but looks decent so far. I remember playing the first Turok on N64 at a friends house but I never fully understood the theme as a kid 😅
The first time I played Doom(2016) was on PS4. I finished it but I didn't really like it and thought it lost all the charm of classic Doom. Then I bought all the Doom games on Switch and tried it again with gyro controls. It was so much fun and nowadays I don't even want to play fps games unless they have gyro controls. Gyro is way more fun than mouse + keyboard, let alone analog sticks.
Didn't expect a demo honestly. I decided to pre-order Crimson Butterfly a while back because I've liked all the Fatal Frame/Project Zero games. Nice price too. That collab I didn't see coming at all, very intriguing.
I remember this one quite well. Apart from Fallout 1&2 I had absolutely zero RPG experience back then. I've played plenty of RPGs since so I could even say this game started it all for me.
That box has some weird things going on. Looks amateurish. If this ends up being real it's not going to be the most beautiful set. I want some Zelda Legos that I actually want. The Game Boy from last year was amazing and the new Speed Champions DeLorean is great, especially considering the price.
A store nearby was getting rid of the last copies of Brothership so I bought it just two days ago. It was really cheap so didn't lose a lot of money if I end up disliking it. Surprisingly lengthy and I still have probably 10 hours of Silksong to go. Not sure if I can play two massive games back to back.
I wanted Fallout 3 on Switch years ago and thought it would be a perfect fit and even better on Switch 2. Just make it run steady 60 fps this time. Leave some bells and whistles out if you must. F3 is still my favorite with the depressing tone and almost monochrome visuals.
After I completed Metroid Prime 4 (loved it, solid 9/10) I started Silksong just to see if I got what it takes to beat the game. Fortunately it's pretty amazing. Beat The Last Judge on new year's eve so I guess I'm doing okay.
I love the mystery! Bloober Team has slowly become one of the most promising devs and one of my favorites as well. And I haven't even played the SH2 remake.
The games he mentioned makes me think it's not going to be first-person or over the shoulder third person. Maybe something like Little Nightmares. Then again, he would probably mention that.
But you know what would be cool while we wait for more info? Silent Hill 2 Remake on Switch 2.
There are probably like 3 people that have not played Skyrim and I'm one of them. I've played the intro two times but that's it. By the time the dragon appears I'm like "yeah not for me" 😂
Being a huge sci-fi and Fallout fan I thought this game would be amazing, but after some hours on PC I just dropped it. My PC wasn't really powerful enough for it but it was also somewhat forced and underwhelming as a game. I might try it again on S2 if it happens but I have zero expectations after my first experience with the game.
Virtual Boy is honestly something I need to experience once but I'm not buying the massive thing. Maybe I'll purchase the cardboard one and accept the mere 2 hours of fun I'm getting out of it 😅
Now that I'm playing MP4 and being blown away by the graphics I know I have a powerful piece of hardware in my hands (not that Cyberpunk didn't prove that already).
I've been more than happy with my S2 itself but the first-party line-up has been solid but not amazing. DK Bananza was a bit 'meh' to me and MK World was just more MK. I'm very excited about future games and will check more third-party offerings after I'm done with Metroid Prime 4. And a new Mario will show up eventually. Good times!
I'm probably gonna love this game. The soundtrack seems awesome.
Hopefully I'll be able to pick up the game tomorrow. I got an email about my pre-order. They said there was a surprising surge of pre-orders lately and they will need a second patch to cover that. Didn't expect that at all here in Finland.
I really like Bloober Team but I've already experienced everything in this package. I think Layers of fear 2 is one of their weaker outputs but still ok. Probably well worth checking out if you haven't already.
I've actually been buying lots of physical games for the 3DS lately. I'm not much of a collector and usually end up selling my consoles and games but 3DS was a curious little thing with the 3D effect and all.
I got this from the library to try it out. It was ok but it really needed more save points. Also the world is pretty large which makes backtracking a pain. Maybe one day I will try it again.
God I hate escorting and babysitting in games (not great in real life either). I sincerely hope this kind of stuff is kept at minimum. Still very excited about the game and hopes up.
Only a month till Metroid Prime 4 is here and honestly we know next to nothing about the game. It's obviously intentional but for what reason. Worries me a bit.
The european store is really underwhelming. We don't even have stuff made out of metal there. Postcards and notebooks and the occasinal pin is all I get.
One of the first games I tried when I first got Switch. It was maybe 4 years ago and man did the game have a lot going on. It wasn't very beginner friendly but it did look cool.
I haven't finished it yet but I've been enjoying Cronos on Switch 2 immensely. I think it's more for the survival horror crowd than occasional horror enjoyer though. Cool game with interesting story.

Re: Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake Receives A New Patch On Switch 2 This Week
I did find it weird that almost every enemy felt like a boss fight. The ghosts also get aggravated all the time.

Fatal Frame 2 Remake got a demo today, I'll check it out tonight. I hope the game does well and we eventually get a new installment.
