Sometimes one encounters things commonly considered great but can't really understand why. This series was that kind of thing to me. I played through both so I really did try but eventually I just had to be honest and say I didn't like them at all. The first one was especially painful.
Another 1/10 in the making. Yeah, always two sides to things. The fact that virtually anyone can make games nowadays will eventually come down to this. The same thing with music&internet. Having variety and quantity is great but the overall quality...well, you know. Not complaining, just need to be careful which ones we want to support.
Even Angry Birds was a clone, they just added charming visuals. I start to think Nintendo really should keep an eye on their eShop... Too many lackluster titles that downgrade the whole eShop. I don't blame the developers, though.
I would like the game to have the classic "hold down and tap a button" for speeding up but otherwise the 3DS demo seemed surprisingly good. I'm not paying full price for it but maybe later when it's discounted.
I thought this would never see daylight but I guess I was wrong. I just hope this is also the end of Zelda remakes. Also probably gonna buy it although I wasn't enjoying the VC version on Wii too much.
I'll read about the controls in The Swapper before I decide but it's a great game on PC and I doubt they ruined it for the U. Also Flowerworks could be worth supporting. Still so busy with my backlog on X360 but we'll see.
Gift of power seems to be based on my favorite tune from Metroid Prime. I seriously can't put it to words how much I loved the first Metroid Prime. My fondest gaming memory which I will never forget. I will look into this album when my financial stance is sturdier :/
@Hero-of-WiiU Yes, on Xbox at least. For some reason I only found it via web browser and installed it remotely. The demo was ok, but I got stuck (or maybe the demo sort of ended) and quit with slight disappointment.
Oh, cool. Might check this out although after countless Slendy clones on Android devices the character is getting really old. Also these games are solely about cheap scares (or the anxious wait for them). I tried the X360 demo and it seemed to suffer from framerate issues and it's not even that pretty.
Yeah, the characters in 0 were not my favorites but the game itself was great. One reason I like RE is the strong female type. Somehow it suits horror games especially well.
I guess I wasn't aware at the time that my precious Mega Drive II was called Genesis somewhere else. Loved that console so much. I still remember the day I got it in '93 I think. And that song in the end of the video was one of my favorites. From Sonic & Knuckles if I'm right?
I think this type of game would benefit from the 3D effect. It could possibly look really cool even in the simplest form. I'll keep an eye on this. Never played the original, Terraria I've played for some hours.
Awesome game. It's a download title so it's not very lengthy but it has replay value. Would like to see a sequel with even more content Well done, I&F!
Well I bought both AC3 and 4 and absolutely adored Black Flag. 100%'d it like a boss. Also bought Splinter Cell and Zombi U. I guess I'm in a minority. Great releases apart from occasional frame rate issues. Sad to see Ubi joining the Wii U abandoners camp.
I have no idea what this could be but I welcome it nevertheless. I am getting older after all, and I could possibly be interested in some QOL (whatever that is). I can't see this harming other departments. They'll still deliver the few games they have to offer.
MK8 is obviously a success. On the other hand, it can't sell infinitely while there are only 7 million Wii Us out there. It really starts to seem there is quite limited demand for a console like Wii U. No need for doom 'n' gloom, it is a great console but it is what it is. Can't see Smash Bros. changing it at this point and that is quite frankly their last resort. MK8 only gave a moderate boost which lasted for 2 weeks and that was it.
Skyward Sword didn't sell that well so I don't think the mainstream audience is that interested in the next installment. It's just us. Metroid was never that big in the first place. Metroid Prime may be the best game ever made but the sales were humble. So even if they officially announced a new Metroid it wouldn't change a thing.
So, we have a great console with great games that is not selling and won't sell in the future. We'll deal with it. I can't wait for the new Zelda and Project Zero and whatnot!
Cool, maybe I'll check it out. It just bugs me a bit that these games arrive so late. They've been on other platforms for ages and are usually quite cheap already or part of Humble Bundles and there we are paying overprice just to play it on this specific platform. Like always, I'll wait for discount.
@invictus4000 I seriously didn't know we already had this in Europe. Downloaded it instantly. A 7-year-old me once struggled with this and I need to show who's the boss some twenty years later
Edit. Blaster Master is what I'm talking about.
Now they have a donation website. It would be really sad if they were in fact for real and now it's ruined I'm not saying they are but in these internet times it's sometimes next to impossible to get reliable info and when the snowball starts rolling...
I'm extremely sceptical and didn't back them up. Still I really really hope this is real. I don't know, someone reliable should investigate this. I really want to know.
Metacritic says 59 on PC and 62 on PS3. Seems like a game that has its flaws but if you're gonna like it you're gonna like it. The price is a bit steep but I'm gonna purchase this, either full-priced or from a sale. Looks great and if they gave it a makeover it would be awesome. Probably not though.
Finland is a Playstation zone, that's why. As a person in my late twenties I'm the only one I know who has a 3DS and the U. Kids are probably busy playing with tablets and teenagers and adults exclusively play NHL, GTA, CoD, Gran Turismo and some other random "mature" themed games. Well, you can see the list, it's pretty accurate.
Personally, I was never interested in Tomodachi Life. It seems like a social game and being a Nintendo gamer in Finland is not a social thing. It's quite lonely.
How many copies are they planning to sell if they don't localise it? Makes no sense to not bring it to US and EU. And every other territory. I seriously want this so make it happen Nintendo!
Consider this bought. I love the mood and visuals of Abyss and this seems to be on the same page. Also Knytt UG was great. The complex controls also seem like something I'd want to dive in. This type of indie stuff is what it's all about!
Don't care whether this is good for their business or not. I just don't want filthy car companies invading my lighthearted entertainment with their ads disguised as DLC. Please, go away.
Well, I'm not "coming back" since I've never owned a Sony or Microsoft console before but I am planning on getting a PS4 at the end of this year. And yeah, I'm happy about the TLOU remastered. So in my case he's quite right.
Edit. Oh, and the point was that I was totally a Wii owner for some years. Played dozens of games.
@Finntendo I don't know, do you feel guilty? Nah, it was probably just me overdoing it again after a couple of decent races. That tends to happen. I just... lose it
I've actually never visited their site. I did after reading this and will never do it again. The comment section was HOSTILE. Nintendo Life may not be Miiverse either but at least most people here are sensible and the overall atmosphere is friendly and mostly constructive even when dealing with serious subjects. I'm happy here.

Nintendo's current-gen art direction is awesome! "Charming" is an understatement.
Re: Bayonetta 2 Demo Now Live In The European Wii U eShop
Platinum clearly have their own thing going on. Pretty much hated W101 but this was quite amazing actually. Really short demo but I got the picture.

Re: Renegade Kid Now In A Position To Produce More Dementium Games

@DefHalan I think Cult county was cancelled a long time ago when the funding failed :/
Re: Review: Hyrule Warriors (Wii U)
Pretty much what I expected. I'm not a fan of hack'n'slash so I'm gonna pass. Proper Zelda, pleeeeaaase hurry!

Skimpy outfits like this are totally unnecessary and I'm disappointed about this. Then again, I'm not getting Smash bros. U anyways.
