Re: Feature: From Hypnosis To Farts, What Happened To The Wario We Met 30 Years Ago?

ToniK

I start to feel very old, yes 😂 I bought SML2: 6 Golden Coins on a school field trip and loved it obviously.
I already had Wario Land before that which had the superior art direction if you ask me but SML2 felt more like Super Mario World which I was very familiar at the time.
Youngsters today will never know the pain of trying to see what the heck is going on in that little dim green lcd and for that I am glad.

Re: Review: Layers Of Fear: Legacy (Switch eShop)

ToniK

I've played lots of horror games and in my books this is one of the best. It has bit of a walking simulator thing going on but the sheer amount of visual tricks and atmosphere makes this a great piece of entertainment. I got actual goosebumps most of the time while playing this. A perfect combo of awesomeness and chills.

9/10 from me, the only downsides being the somewhat slow controls and the lack of proper gameplay which are ultimately minor problems overshadowed by the mansion and its demonic nature.

Re: The Mummy Demastered Comes Out on 24th October

ToniK

If I had a Switch I'd be interested. Looks like it has all the elements of a good side-scroller.

Glad to see the love for Alien Infestation. That was a great game apart from the last boss. Maybe I did something wrong but I found myself jumping and shooting with a pistol in a blind spot like a cheater for half an hour but beat it finally :/ I don't think that was supposed to go like that.

Re: First Impressions: Traversing Titans in Xenoblade Chronicles 2

ToniK

To be honest, I never thought I would get into this series. The fact that XC was a few years old and I played it on VC didn't really help. But man did I love it. After playing X for about 200 hours I was definitely a fan. Looking forward to this and hoping it'd be some kind of hybrid of the aforementioned two.

Re: UK Retailer Exploits NES Classic Demand By Asking More Than Three Times The Retail Price

ToniK

That's just tasteless in my opinion. A company is always in for the money, sure, but this is just too much. Hopefully Nintendo will come up with something that ends this kind of exploits. The fact that big N didn't provide enough is another thing...

I pre-ordered from two different places and didn't get my piece. Slightly disappointed at the time but on the other hand I have enough technology under my TV already.

Re: Deals: Buy a Deluxe Wii U from Nintendo for $200

ToniK

I bought my Wii U a month or two after launch for 249 euros :/ It's the white basic model but I never saw the 32 GB version a sensible option anyways. I had a hard drive laying around so it worked out fine.

Ninty sure likes its stuff.

Re: Nintendo Files Trademark Application For Eternal Darkness

ToniK

I'd like to give this game another chance. I quit when I got in a situation where I just couldn't beat some enemies and didn't have an earlier save file so I was basically stuck. I think the whole surreal thing has been made better in some more recent games but of course this is a classic.

Re: Yooka-Laylee Rattles Away From Wii U Release

ToniK

I still remember the very day I unpacked my precious Wii U. It was so cool and full of potential. Not greatest of successes but I'm glad I was there and enjoyed my little U. I won't be getting rid of it though. I'll keep it close and cherish the memories.

Re: Pokémon GO Bonuses Increased For Limited Period

ToniK

Yeah I noticed The stop next to my house gave about 7 normal balls and some great and ultraballs as well. And the amount of Pokemons was crazy when I went to buy groceries. Not sure whether this should be permanent but it's fun for now.

Re: Feature: Our Spooky Halloween Gaming Plans

ToniK

Nice picks! I love horror and I've played most mainstream games as well as some indie stuff.
It hurts me how underrated Project Zero 5 is. I enjoyed it so much even though it repeats itself. I've seen most endings and some of them are so beautiful. I am a huge fan of asian horror so... yeah. It's a good game.

Re: Review: Metroid Prime: Federation Force (3DS)

ToniK

I'm slightly interested in this. I really look forward to some new "real" Metroid but I'm not as mad about them doing something else like some people. There are enough games coming out all the time on several platforms. Chill people and broaden your view and you see your life become easier :'D
