Stardew Valley creator "Eric 'ConcernedApe' Barone has already shared a new screenshot of his next project Haunted Chocolatier earlier this month, and now he's released another one.
It's perhaps the sweetest one yet - revealing one of the boss enemies in game. This one is simply referred to as "Bee Boss" for now, and as you can see above and below - it's a giant Bee!
Barone has even shared the music that goes with this fight via YouTube:
Earlier this month, Barone reassured fans this project was still well underway - mentioning at the time how progress was going "pretty good". In his latest comments, he's kind of shared a small update - stating how he's unable to say exactly how far into development he is, as he's just making the game as he goes:
"no idea what % it's at, and no there's no detailed plan. I have a vision in my head, a few random text files with loose ideas, and then I've just been making a game as I go"
Haunted Chocolatier was first revealed last October and is currently confirmed for the PC. Barone has said he has "every intention" to bring it to other major platforms as well, but there's currently no release date.

While I'm eager to see the game completed, I'm totally fine with him taking his time. SDV was master craft quality. I can wait for that magic to strike again.
I always thought it was pretty cool how he makes the games himself and can do literally whatever he wants however he wants to do it.

Every little bit of info that gets shared is such a delight. I know it'll be some time until we actually get to play it, but I know it will be worth it.
In the mean time I should really get back into Stardew.

I hope he takes his time. I could wait over 2024 and I wouldn’t care, because stardew valley proved, that when time is taken, it will be loved for years to come.
Still hoping this would end up being part of SDV's universe. I'd like to see SDV's cast play some role in the story, or at least make a cameo.

Game looks like SDV but with a new story and tweaks. That's not a bad thing.
It’s nice to finally see the art that goes with this song! I remember when he showed off this track in the Reason Livestream. It’s nice to put a little more context to the song besides it just being a “boss theme” even if it’s just a sliver more.
@Jamessmooth One of the most amazing things about SDV being soli developed is how top quality Ape is as a game composer. I think he is as good or better than anyone in gaming i. regards to game music.
I honestly wouldn't mind a new Stardew Valley. Just saying. It could be the same game with just a different locale, different people, different collections, etc, and I would be happy with it. Stardew Valley is the single most relaxing game I have ever bought. I love it, and I have bought it on multiple systems now.
