Re: Pokémon Gold and Silver Getting Boxed 3DS Releases In Europe

ThatGirlFinley

I remember when I got Pokémon Silver. I never got a box with it though because we could never afford anything but second-hand games. It was the best game I had ever played and still holds a lot of nostalgia for me. If possible I would like to get the boxed version. Maybe I can even modify it and put my original Pokémon Silver cartridge in there.

Re: The First Nintendo Switch Cartridge ROM Dumps Are Emerging, But It's Early Days

@cfgk24 No they wouldn't all do that. You are stereotyping an entire community of people and it's wrong. Some of them are doing it as a hobby, a profession or to help improve the platform they are hacking by pointing out the details of their exploits, among various other reasons. It's not all about getting free stuff. There are a lot of people that jump on the piracy ship as soon as it arrives, sure, but not all of them. Hackers' intentions aren't always to create entryways to piracy.

You're allowed your opinion and freedom of speech so say whatever you want, but I felt the need to let you know that in my opinion you're being overly harsh on the hacker community as a whole.

Also note that I'm not one of them, I just don't like to see people stereotyping others.

It's gonna be a real shame to see the service disappear. I thought it was great and I did have an awesome time with it. I mean in honesty I haven't used it in a very long time but if it had been moved to Switch I would have used it again without hesitation. Maybe it'll be replaced sometime in the future with a newer, better social network created by Nintendo. One with less restrictions perhaps?

In other news we're scrapping the old anti-matter drives today and in their place will be the newer, more stable 3DS drives. They will become the new standard system for all star ships. This comes as no surprise as earlier today Nintendo finally released an update allowing the system to achieve a level of stability never before seen in this galaxy. It truly is a bold and innovative move from the ever triumphant company as they continue to traverse time and space, leading us ever onward in our pursuit of stability.

Re: The Hybrid Nature Of Switch Is Causing Level-5 Headaches With Its Next Layton Adventure

Personally even though I own both consoles, I'd be far more inclined to buy and play it on the Switch than on the 3DS. I know it's been said plenty of times already but seriously, just use gyro pointer controls like World of Goo and Human Resource Machine had. There are plenty of possibilities so it really..puzzles me..that they haven't found a solution for this problem.

Re: Pokkén Tournament DX Confirmed For Nintendo Switch

This left a poor impression. I'm not excited about Pokken but I guess I'll buy it anyways because a fighting game does seem like it could be fun. Pokemon Ultra Sun/Moon or whatever they're calling it just really annoyed me. It feels like serious money grabbing. The VC news was awesome though and the only thing I'm actually excited about. No main Pokemon game announced for the Switch is the part that annoyed me the most but I guess it's early days still so I'm not that surprised. I knew what to expect but that didn't stop me from getting my hopes up that they'd surprise me in a good way.

I was really hoping for a hunger system that would add temporary debuffs to your speed and stamina as you get hungrier and remove them once you eat enough to be satiated. Maybe slow the recovery effect.

Enemies are difficult enough in my opinion. But that's just me being salty since I really dislike going through every weapon I have in order to defeat one or two of them at times. A weapon repair system being added at stables would be amazing.

Re: "No Widespread Technical Problems" With Switch Joy-Cons, Claims Nintendo

ThatGirlFinley

I literally have had no issues so far with my launch day switch. I've had things that frustrate me but no actual issues. The joy-cons work well and the games play fine (apart from small framerate drops in BoTW when I enter areas with intense foliage). My only complaint so far is that when the console is docked and out of sleep mode I can't change the channel on my TV. Other then that the console is absolutely fantastic and probably my new favorite. I look forward to some more exciting games later this year.

Re: Talking Point: Lack of Nintendo Switch Details Close to Launch Made Wobbly Cam 'Leaks' Inevitable

There are a lot of unanswered questions and there's no doubt in my mind that there will be a lot of upsetting revelations once I get my hands on the console and find out its shortcomings. But at the same time, I know that I'm gonna really enjoy playing games on it like Breath of the Wild and 1-2 Switch. I still feel like it's gonna end up being a worthwhile purchase.
