I just really wish I had enough money to afford any good, new Switch games. But unfortunately I don't and if things keep going the way they are, I probably won't for a long time to come. It's a real shame because I'd love to own Splatoon 2, Arms and a bunch of others.
"Riiidggeee raaacceeerr" 😂 Nah but seriously, I had Namco museum for the GameCube and it was great so I'm tempted to get it for the switch. I have a lot of fun with Digdug.
It's a good game, I've had a lot of fun with it but I'm not the type to go chasing after a high score. It sort of lost my interest after a few days. But maybe with this new update I'll get back into playing it for a bit.
Also that's pretty awesome about the improved load times!
@cfgk24 No they wouldn't all do that. You are stereotyping an entire community of people and it's wrong. Some of them are doing it as a hobby, a profession or to help improve the platform they are hacking by pointing out the details of their exploits, among various other reasons. It's not all about getting free stuff. There are a lot of people that jump on the piracy ship as soon as it arrives, sure, but not all of them. Hackers' intentions aren't always to create entryways to piracy.
You're allowed your opinion and freedom of speech so say whatever you want, but I felt the need to let you know that in my opinion you're being overly harsh on the hacker community as a whole.
Also note that I'm not one of them, I just don't like to see people stereotyping others.
It's gonna be a real shame to see the service disappear. I thought it was great and I did have an awesome time with it. I mean in honesty I haven't used it in a very long time but if it had been moved to Switch I would have used it again without hesitation. Maybe it'll be replaced sometime in the future with a newer, better social network created by Nintendo. One with less restrictions perhaps?
In other news we're scrapping the old anti-matter drives today and in their place will be the newer, more stable 3DS drives. They will become the new standard system for all star ships. This comes as no surprise as earlier today Nintendo finally released an update allowing the system to achieve a level of stability never before seen in this galaxy. It truly is a bold and innovative move from the ever triumphant company as they continue to traverse time and space, leading us ever onward in our pursuit of stability.
I really hope that when this arrives I can get one before they run out of stock but the window of opportunity will probably only be a couple of seconds.
Got all the way to the 17th floor on the final trials before being killed by the Lionel. I'm usually pretty good at fighting them but I was off my game there, lol I'll keep that tip in mind to use an ancient arrow on them. I wasn't aware it was an instant kill. XD
I've put thousands of hours into this game on PC so I'd love to have it for a portable console. I don't know about that price tag though. That's definitely pushing it. Especially when I want to get Super Mario Odyssey as well.
I would like to have discord on the Switch because then I could talk to all of my friends without having to move over to my phone or computer. I feel very estranged from them all as it is when I'm playing on the switch due to the lack of a social platform.
Personally even though I own both consoles, I'd be far more inclined to buy and play it on the Switch than on the 3DS. I know it's been said plenty of times already but seriously, just use gyro pointer controls like World of Goo and Human Resource Machine had. There are plenty of possibilities so it really..puzzles me..that they haven't found a solution for this problem.
@Anti-Matter Just don't get your hopes up. Unfortunately it's not looking too likely at the moment that they'll announce anything super exciting. I'd love an Animal Crossing game for the Switch though.
This left a poor impression. I'm not excited about Pokken but I guess I'll buy it anyways because a fighting game does seem like it could be fun. Pokemon Ultra Sun/Moon or whatever they're calling it just really annoyed me. It feels like serious money grabbing. The VC news was awesome though and the only thing I'm actually excited about. No main Pokemon game announced for the Switch is the part that annoyed me the most but I guess it's early days still so I'm not that surprised. I knew what to expect but that didn't stop me from getting my hopes up that they'd surprise me in a good way.
I'm tempted to get one to be honest. I've wanted a "New" 3DS XL for ages but it's pricey. If this New 2DS XL works out a fair bit cheaper in the UK that'd be great. I have a Switch so I'm fine on that front.
Aside from those things I mentioned though. I really love the look of this DLC. There are some really nice additions. I'm still looking forward to the main meat of it coming out later this gear though. A new story sounds awesome.
I was really hoping for a hunger system that would add temporary debuffs to your speed and stamina as you get hungrier and remove them once you eat enough to be satiated. Maybe slow the recovery effect.
Enemies are difficult enough in my opinion. But that's just me being salty since I really dislike going through every weapon I have in order to defeat one or two of them at times. A weapon repair system being added at stables would be amazing.
I remember thinking I had found the solution for a few of the puzzles before realizing that I had just skipped a lot of it and went straight to the end. XD
I expect to see an E3 similar to the BoTW one only this time it will be Mario Odyssey. It's not what I want, nor do I think it's a good idea..but I don't have as much faith in them to wow me like they used to. I remember E3s like the Twilight Princess one, I was literally crying during the presentation. It was amazing.
I'm just gonna put it out there and say that when I was trying to get to Eventide Island I used Cryonis to get across the sea instead of paragliding or using a boat or anything like that..yeah, lol
On the plus side though, I caught a lot of fish on the way. XD
I just want Minecraft for the Switch. I don't care much for this story mode game or whatever. I didn't buy the Wii U version of Minecraft because I'm waiting for it to come to the Switch.
I literally have had no issues so far with my launch day switch. I've had things that frustrate me but no actual issues. The joy-cons work well and the games play fine (apart from small framerate drops in BoTW when I enter areas with intense foliage). My only complaint so far is that when the console is docked and out of sleep mode I can't change the channel on my TV. Other then that the console is absolutely fantastic and probably my new favorite. I look forward to some more exciting games later this year.
I've never had this issue, I only get framerate drops in BotW when I'm in the super foliage intensive areas. The game works well otherwise. But then I keep wi-fi on 24/7. I also get great speeds and connectivity across my house.
I really hope this isn't a problem for me though the furthest I'll be from the console is 3 metres so any disturbance should be minimal if anything. (I've got small hands and won't be playing with my hands behind my back)
So, we meet again Treasurenauts my old friend. I didn't think you had survived but after all these years, here you are.
Seriously though, I'm surprised to see this announcement. If it actually does get released I'll definitely be buying it. Mutant Mudds I already have on my 3DS and I wasn't that into it so I'll pass on the Switch version.
I really miss the days of AAA games being £39.99 max. Unfortunately we have to pay £59.99 or sometimes £69.99 which is far outside my budget most of the time, which means that I can only afford about 5 AAA games in the console's lifetime and maybe a couple smaller ones (e.g. virtual console (although it's not that cheap anymore either)).
Dang that is really cheap. I'd love to get one but unfortunately I can't justify shelling out the extra money after spending so much on a retail unit. I had a lot of ideas for how to use the Joycons in interesting and fun ways too.
There are a lot of unanswered questions and there's no doubt in my mind that there will be a lot of upsetting revelations once I get my hands on the console and find out its shortcomings. But at the same time, I know that I'm gonna really enjoy playing games on it like Breath of the Wild and 1-2 Switch. I still feel like it's gonna end up being a worthwhile purchase.
Anyone know how substantially having the joy-cons attached to the switch will affect the console's battery life? To my knowledge it charges them both while they're attached to it so there must be some change in battery performance.
BoTW SE, Neon Switch, Charging Grip for JoyCons, a BoTW amiibo. All together that's about £440 (or US $547) for me. I'm pretty over budget here but I was really hoping to get Snipperclips and 1 2 Switch too. I think I'll be sticking to just Breath of the Wild for a loooong time.
I always figured they could use the gyroscopes or something to emulate the range of input values that you would have with analogue triggers if it was really necessary but a new joycon with analogue triggers instead of digital ones would be preferred.
I'm so tempted by this but I feel like I should really stay away. They do sound dodgy. And it's reassuring to hear people on here saying they had good experiences with them but I still don't know if I want to chance it.

Re: New Trailer Reveals Fresh Details for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon
@Dogorilla I'm really hoping for that because I loved how Pokémon followed you around in HG/SS and Yellow. I don't think it is though sadly. Possibly just a cute event or something.
Re: New Trailer Reveals Fresh Details for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon
@Anti-Matter I have Pokémon Sun too and I can't wait to get Ultra Moon It looks like it's going to be a lot of fun

Re: Pokémon Gold and Silver Getting Boxed 3DS Releases In Europe
I remember when I got Pokémon Silver. I never got a box with it though because we could never afford anything but second-hand games. It was the best game I had ever played and still holds a lot of nostalgia for me. If possible I would like to get the boxed version. Maybe I can even modify it and put my original Pokémon Silver cartridge in there.
Re: Capcom Reportedly Gearing Up for Multiple Nintendo Switch Titles

I guess posting news about it will also help get the word out to Nintendo faster so they can start working on a system update for "stability".
Either way I appreciate them posting articles like this.
