Re: Rumour: Articuno Has Been Caught in Pokémon GO

ThatGirlFinley

@WreckItRyan You basically summed up all of my pain regarding this game, well said.

Though I also wonder what it will be like for people living in small town areas that want to catch legendary pokémon. It's not always easy to get into the bigger cities, especially for a luxury like catching pokémon.

Re: Review: Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team (Wii U eShop / DS)

ThatGirlFinley

I think this was my first entry to the mystery dungeon games but Explorers of Time brought me to tears; it was so good and my favorite by far, lol

Super Mystery Dungeon really improved on a lot of the mechanics and I loved the story as well but I felt like there was a lot more depth in the "explorers" games.

Also the dungeon sizes are different. The original games had much bigger dungeons (more floors) but they got really annoying because of that. Super mystery dungeon has got it just right in my opinion.

Re: Poll: Vote for Your Favourite Main Series Pokémon Games - 20th Anniversary Edition

ThatGirlFinley

Pokémon Silver because it was the first Pokémon game I ever owned, then SoulSilver because it let me relive those memories and it was amazing having the Pokémon follow me around like they did in Yellow. Lastly I'd say Y was my most recent favorite because I loved the Pokémon and the story; the new online functionality was amazing too and even the anime has been really fun to watch.

I guess they can be useful in certain situations. I used to pirate games but I stopped a long time ago when I started to get enough money to buy the games I wanted. I think these devices are a good way of preserving the history of our hobby though. It can really help to keep things alive in ther etro scene and maybe even introduce some of the younger audiences to the way games used to be. That's just my personal opinion though.

Re: Nintendo Has Nothing to Say About Recent Smash Bros. Video

ThatGirlFinley

It looks like there's a lot of pain in that picture, lol
I'm so hyed for smash bros. I'm really hoping I have enough to get it for the 3DS and Wii U but I probably won't be able to.

As it comes closer to the release date I'm finding it harder to decide which one to get. Probably Wii U though so I can get some friends around for some tournaments when I get back to uni, lol

Re: Poll: Which Is The Best Super Mario Platformer?

ThatGirlFinley

I was tied between Super Mario World, Galaxy 2 and Sunshine but I voted for galaxy 2 because I loved what a seemingly unique approach it took and it just felt so awesome to play.

I used to have all those games at one point in time. Needless to say, I wish I still did. I loved everything about those games because they were all fun to play, had excellent soundtracks and felt very unique. So much nostalgia, lol XD

Re: Talking Point: A Virtual Console Revival Could Be Just a Pricing Revolution Away

ThatGirlFinley

I think another reasons it falls behind is because the games also take SO LONG to be released. And if I'm being honest, I'm really not interested in anything that's been released apart from the zelda games.

Ranting ahead...

Give me Donkey Kong 64, Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie, Conkurs Bad Fur Day, etc. and I'll literally cry with hapiness as I hand over my money.

...Oh wait...just forget it. I give up. I realize now that I'll never see either a remake, re-release or another Donkey Kong game in the 64 style again. Sorry for the rant. :/

Re: Talking Point: A Virtual Console Revival Could Be Just a Pricing Revolution Away

The VC definitely needs some sort of price restructuring. In my opinion nothing should be over £9.99. Heck, even that seems steep. Can't see it happening though. So much missed potential.

On another note...
I'll always be happy if the prices are converted for each currency. (So everyone pays the same amount.) Just because I'm living in the UK doesn't mean I'm rich. A lot of companies don't seem to understand that.

Re: Poll: Is Online Co-Op a Major Miss in Hyrule Warriors, or is Local Multiplayer Enough?

ThatGirlFinley

If my friends didn't all live so far away from me I really wouldn't mind, but they do live far away and I can't play local co-op with them. However, during term-time they'll be my neighbors so it won't be that bad I guess. I might be able to get my sister or my dad to play the game with me if it really comes down to it anyways. Basically, I personally don't mind the lack of online co-op but I do feel it's something that should be/have been implemented.

Re: Nintendo Reports Losses for Q1 of Financial Year, With Variable Hardware Results

ThatGirlFinley

If I were to combine the amount of games I own for the 3DS and Wii U it would probably be less than what I've owned for any single console ever.

Needless to say I will be very annoyed if they announce another console within the next few years.

However; there have been a lot of announcements lately for both consoles and more and more people have boarded the hype train (myself included) so things could seriously pick up over the next two years.

Edit:
Just for clarity; I own around ~60 games per console. 3DS and Wii U though would be somewhere around ~30.

What I think of when I see trine on sale now:
"DFS Sale Now on! Hurry! Ends soon!"
That poopsiedoodle DFS sale just keeps on going, lol

I'm not really interested in anything this week. I got Pullblocks World for the discounted price yesterday, but that's it.
