My prediction is that is just a pro version of the Switch. Hopefully it's not called the Switch U, but it will be a backwards compatible Switch successor with better graphics and a little bit bigger screen. Current gen joy cons will work on the device, but can't be attached, because a Joy Con 2 with even more peripherals and gimmicks will be sold separately.

If they don't unveil Pokémon for NSO in some form I am not going to care about this Presents at all...

A new 3D Mario or Zelda is usually the default answer. But since Super Mario Wonder is close to release and we just have seen the likes of Tears of the Kingdom I find either one not a realistic choice. I have voted for Metroid Prime 4 although I am not sure if the franchise can carry an entire new system. On the other hand the Metroid Prime Remaster did a pretty good job, so in my mind I am picturing a 4k Metroid game that looks absolutely stunning.

Am I the only one not impressed by this line up? Hopefully the next Direct we'll see (September?) will feature some extra's for the end of this year or beginning of next year. I still find a Switch 2 release in Q2 2024 highly unlikely, but we'll see...

Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are a given. The Oracle games should have been remade like they did with Link's Awakening. A HD or a brand new Four Swords Adventure would be fun.

Just imagine the successor not being backwards compatible. Ready to buy Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Plus Plus Plus? Tears of the Kingdom HD? Pikmin 4 HD Plus? Throw in a new attempt at NSO and we'll be back to square one

I'd rather have Sakurai work on a new Season Pass than a Smash Sequel. Just like Mario Kart the series pretty much reached a high point that is rather hard to achieve a second time around. I also believe Nintendo should focus more on remaking GameCube classics, as they did with Metroid Prime, with classics such as F-Zero GX. Upgraded visuals, more tracks and/or characters is all these games need.

Finally! This makes me a very happy man.

@Maulbert despite it's flaws it's still a pretty darn good controller. I found the N64 controller more of an abomination and not one to easily go back to.

For me Ruby/Sapphire felt like a downgrade coming from Silver/Gold. Yes, the graphics were better, double battles were pretty cool, but the lack of a Day and Night system and the opportunity to go to a post-game region like in G/S felt like generation 3 was three steps back and only one forward. Now, I fondly look back at the GBA games as a staple of the series all thanks to the mishaps that game after. I am looking at you Scarlet/Violet...

Somewhere in the back of my head I completely agree with @Maulbert. This controller is also terrible for playing retro games. But in my heart I want to buy four of these lovely controllers the second it's restocked in Europe.

The only thing it's missing is more games.

I always look forward to releases of new games. Not to buy/play those games, but to witness Nintendo getting a franchise out of their system for a while so they can focus on the next big thing.

After seeing this I can't stress enough that Nintendo really has to re-release Twilight Princess and Wind Waker for Switch.

Metroid Prime Echoes Remastered, when?

Nintendo 64 was pretty great, but no console can be the perfection that was the GameCube. Nintendo 64 was good, but GameCube made everything better.

And here I am still waiting on a Fire Emblem Advance Remake just like they did Advance Wars 1+2.

I am definitely happy to see more GameCube games coming to Switch, but if Nintendo doesn't go all in on remastering these games like they did with Metroid Prime than they should lower the price of these ports a bit.

It was all right. I know they say Super Mario RPG is one of the best ever made and that a "new" 2D Super Mario will probably rock everyone's socks off, but I can't say there was a game in this Direct that I would immediately buy.

Oracle of Seasons/Ages, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD, Metroid Prime 2, all releases dates. Maybe Pokémon for Gameboy NSO with a Pokémon Direct soon after. What can I say, I am a sucker for remakes/re-releases.

2024 will be the year that the Big N finally shows some gameplay. After the success of the Prime Remaster my best guess is that we'll see something of Echoes remastered at the end of this year.

I'll raise you one, @Poodlestargenerica, this was probably the worst Games Show I have ever seen in my life. Must have been the terrible presentation.

The "actual" Prince of Persia is not the main character, the choice in music for the trailer was absolutely abysmal, I can't help it but I don't like the art style, plus is looks like one of those endless runners you can get on mobile... So, definite no for me.

I like it, but it doesn't convince me to buy the game.

The minute I read: "We're getting some serious The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap vibes" while playing the trailer I thought: "Vibes? The assets are stripped right out of the Mimish Cap!"

This question shouldn't be that difficult, since it's technically the same man in every game, right? I still have to find out how TotK's Ganondorf fits into the picture, so I am choosing my first experience with meeting this threat of a man: Ocarina of Time. Twilight Princess being a close second.

Nintendo will continue to drip feed games on NSO until they are ready for the next Direct which most certainly won't show its face until the earliest of August.

I would love to see a Open World reimagined Majora's Mask. Tackling Termina's corners of the map in BotW/TotK open world fashion sounds really cool to me.

This might be the time to double down on Switch Online, Nintendo. Together with some more GameCube remakes they should be able to survive a dry spell.

Played it on Xbox and it was pretty lackluster. Pretty, but also pretty boring.

I like how Ocarina's Ganondorf is actually the same man as in Wind Waker and in Twilight Princess, but in different timelines. I gotta stick with the orignal man in Ocarina of Time also due to the fact the he let his hair grow in the seven years he rules Hyrule.
