I mean, it looks like the familiar Yoshi design. What else were people expecting? No reason for the movies to deviate far the tried and true designs.

For me, reviews for mainline DQ games are useless. I know what to expect and will be buying it.

I love Pokémon. I’ve been playing the games since since I was 13 and I’m now 43. I took a few years off as I got older but fell back in love with the games as my kids got older and started playing the games on their 3DS.

Having said all that. They HAVE to do better. Textures, movement, lack of voice acting, sense of excitement/danger/discovery, more compelling stories in the mainline series - I could go on & on.

I keep waiting for that Pokémon game that feels alive. That transports me. I did enjoy SwSh, hated BDSP, really had fun with Arceus but was totally underwhelmed by SV. I have ZA but have even started it yet.

I have 3 physical copies pre-ordered for Switch 2. One for myself, my birthday happens to be the 16th, and 2 for my kids to put away until Christmas, when they’ll get their Switch 2s.

My expectations for Pokémon have been dulled over the years but I still enjoy the games and expect to have some fun with ZA.

No surprise here. The first movie made too much money for them to not go back to the well.

Really disappointed this is not a holiday 2025 release but I guess I’ve waited this long…

Hyped for this. Really enjoyed PLA. Been a huge Pokemon fan since the original RBG release and became reinvigorated with the series when I get my kids into it on 3DS. The game comes out on my birthday, so I think I’ll treat myself to a Switch 2 copy and spend a few hours exploring Lumiose City.

Sweet article. I think all games should have demos. Really nice to be able to find everything located in 1 place.

Praying it’s the Switch 1 holding this back and Gen 10 will be the graphical upgrade we’ve all been wanting. I won’t hold my breath, but I am willing to give GF the chance to show we what they can do with a Switch 2 only release.

Not bad, but with all the missing features it needs to be $39.99 or less in the US, otherwise for me, the value isn’t there.

I love Dragon Quest. So hyped for all the new games & re-releases coming to Switch 2. We are eating well! Definitely a day 1 purchase for me.

I had the covert dock 2 and it was pretty great. Loved taking it with me when traveling. Did have a weird quirk on not working with streaming services (Hulu, Funimarion, YT), the screen would just flicker on my TV but never an issue with actually playing games so I didn’t mind much. This will definitely be my go to travel dock option again.

Unfortunately no. Which is a total bummer. I was hoping play my franchise on the PS5 at home then play the Switch on the go but there is no cross-saves or cross-progression. You also cannot play online vs other consoles except Switch 2.

Hype meter is super high for this. Beat ‘em up + Marvel! I used to waste an insane amount of time on these type of games growing up.

Nice update! I have Madden on PS5 & Switch but definitely been playing more often on Switch just do to the ease of playing in handheld. It’s a solid port. Could it be better? Sure. But for the most part, very satisfied.

I have it a 9. I’ve been waiting for someone non-Switch 1 games and I am excited about a bunch of stuff shown off today.

DAY ONE! Never played FE series prior to Engage (I know, old school fire emblem fans think it’s crap) and I really enjoyed it so I am looking to play some more games in the series. This looks really awesome.

@kmtrain83 CFB 26 was on my wishlist, above Madden but likely too late for this year. Hopefully we get 27 on Switch 2

@Unit_DTH in single player it was definitely mid at best. In multiplayer, it was rather fun though. And I feel like that is where it could shine on Switch 2. I won’t hold my breath though.

(Not counting the stuff mentioned in the article) Really hoping for an announcement of BG3, anything Dragon Age, more from FF outside of the 7 series, AC Shadows and probably never happening nor would most care - Gotham Knights. 2-4 player co-op wirelessly on Switch would be very fun.

This is sooo disappointing. If there is a substantial patch in the future, I may pick this up otherwise it’s PS5 version for me.

It’s Ubisoft, so I am not surprised but still disappointed. This also makes me worry AC will be an awful running port as well. Welp, I guess my list of wanted games just shrunk by 2.

Day 1 for me. Got it free on PS5 via PS Plus but never played it. Easier for me to game in handheld. Will happily buy and sink many hours into this on Switch 2.

TMNT, He-Man, GI Joe, Power Rangers etc all getting or have gotten old school beat ‘em ups. I love it. Can we get a Thundercats one next please?

I really like PLA, so I am looking forward to this. SwSh was fun but I didn’t really love SV. Seems like every other release is hitting me with. I am really hoping the next main line Pokémon game skips Switch 1 and comes with a completely new art style.

Well it’s a “key-card” so maybe I should say “physical”…🫠 but at least I can trade-in/sell next year once 27 drops.

@milonorth I’ve got 4 Switch 2 owners in my house and 3 of us have pre-ordered Madden. This is after buying the NCAA/Madden bundle on PS5.

I own Madden on PS5, playing it currently in early access. Pre-ordered a physical copy for my Switch 2 also. The ability to take the game on the go was reason enough for me to double dip. Glad we got a full fat version. Hopefully this will be a trend moving forward with all sports games. Really hope EA brings college football to Switch 2 next year.

I’ve got Madden 26 and Kirby pre-ordered already. I’ll probably get Drag X Drive too, but maybe not on release day.

@TerribleTerabytes Japan is definitely “obsessed” but the US has nearly 3x the population and is, by far, the largest consumer market in the world. Not really a huge shock.

@Pat_trick Switch 2 might not “come close” but tbf, Switch 1 may end up the best selling console of all time so that bar is RIDICULOUSLY high. Still think Switch 2 hits around 100m when it’s all said & done. That may be 50m below OG Switch, but still a MASSIVE success.

@westman98 Absolutely. Holiday season alone, they will selling millions more. I’d think they may get to 19 million if supply can keep up.

This is unpopular, I’m sure, but I am hoping for more sports games. It’s great that MLB The Show & 2K have been steady supporting Switch but I’d like to see a full fat version of FC, plus NHL, NCAA Football, etc. There is no reason these big, annual release sports game should be skipping Nintendo any longer.

A lot of whining in the comments. Sheesh. Games are games. Always excited for more announcements, even if only a small portion will be buys for me. Glad the 100m+ Switch 1 owners will continue to see support as well.

I’m still playing MKW, DKB, Jamboree update & got Madden 26 coming in 2 weeks. I’ll be plenty busy for a while so whatever is announced tomorrow will be gravy on top.

I already own it so I just upgraded today. Lots of fun. Had a blast playing with my 3 kids earlier this afternoon. Easily worth the $19.99 upgrade fee.

@kupocake Yes, tariffs suck but we’re taking a 100% mark-up in some cases. That isn’t all tariffs. That’s also company greed hidden behind a convenient excuse. Similar to the price gouging during COVID. The case is NOTHING special. There are dozens of cases just like it on Amazon for much less. I wanted the official Nintendo case, but wasn’t going to pay $40 for that either.

I’m a digital guy myself but love to see physical options and hope they don’t go away any time soon.

Just pre-ordered from the eShop. Excited for another Switch 2 exclusive. Ready for some new experiences. This seems like a great pick up-and-play game. Love Odyssey so I know this will hit well for me too.

I really like the official Nintendo case but I wasn’t paying $40. I ended up going with the PowerA case from Best Buy. Simple light grey exterior with a small Switch 2 logo. Slim but protective. Only $19.99. The mark-up to $40 for a lot of these case options is ridiculous.

No surprise here as 2K has released on Nintendo’s platforms for years now. Need to see gameplay footage first to decide if I pick this up on Switch 2 or stick to PS5. Hopefully it’s full parity between versions, as I’d love to have it available in the go without playing a gimped release.

As a kid who grew up playing co-op Double Dragon, I am excited to give this a try. Wasn’t a huge fan of DD: Neon, so hopefully there is a demo so I can try it out first. Fingers crossed they recapture the late 80s magic & nostalgia.

It’s look interesting. I enjoy sports games and anything that allows for local co-op or online co-op fun. If the price is right (IMO $39.99 or lower) I will pick it up at launch.

@Tott from my experience, most power banks are fine. I used 3-4 different ones with my Switch 1 and it was never an issue. Since Nintendo doesn’t make power banks, we really have no choice but to go 3rd party. I went with a 65w charger, since the official wall charger is 60w and I didn’t want to worry about under supplying power.

Some solid choices there. Always been a fan on Anker’s portable chargers. I picked up the Anker Power Bank, 20,000mAh Portable Charger with Built-in USB-C Cable for $50 from Newegg. Plenty of capacity, 65W charging via a single port (faster than most listed above) and built-in USB-C cable to make things easy. I love that it can fully charge my Switch 2 while playing. Highly recommend.
