@Ludovsky ummm..I think you badly misinterpreted my comment. That’s exactly what I was saying because a poster up above asked for a new/improved engine. My comment was saying it’s a ridiculous request to ask for that with DLC.

@graysoncharles they aren’t “$30 a pop”, they are $30 for both. “A pop” would indicate a $30 price tag for each. The expansion cannot be purchased individually.

These expansions keep getting better and better!

@Rob3008 ikr? A new/updated engine for DLC? Some people are so unrealistic then get disappointed when these unrealistic demands don’t get met.

Looks great & I can’t wait to explore the new area and catch some “new” Pokémon.

I’d be down for the series to adopt this kind of road map moving forward. Game releases one year, the next year we get two big expansion every 6 months. The following year we get a new game. I think a 2 year development cycle would do wonders for the series.

I’m not going to argue with anyone or try to convince anyone about the expansion, but for me personally, I am SO excited about this. That trailer looked amazing. I cannot wait for the 17th. All those legendary Pokémon will be mine!

We know Jump Force is coming to Switch, this could be it. Would also be thrilled for it to be Dragon Ball: Kakarot or SAO: Alicization Lycoris.

Not surprising. It was a big 12 months for Pokémon. Go continued to earn big, Detective Pikachu did great at the box office & on home release, and Sword & Shield sold supremely well. I’ve enjoyed what Pokémon has done this year all around and hope these large profits allow them to invest more into bigger and better experiences.

If this reviews well, I’ll be picking it up for sure. More interested in how it performs, I know the Borderland games themselves are amazing. I know it’s cheaper on other consoles but $49.99 for all 3 games plus all the DLC seems like a pretty nice value to take the games on the go.

I missed the last beta test. Definitely need to get in on this one

I don’t know why people are assuming the art-style means it’s definitely coming for Switch. I hope it does but there’s plenty of other games with this style that have passed Switch by, like SAO:AL (still hoping that comes to Switch)

So why didn’t Switch get the Mafia Trilogy PS4, Xbox & PC are getting?

Looking forward to Minecraft Dungeons. I’m going to play it in 4 player co-op with my 3 kids. Very excited to jump in.

Some things I’d like to see:

-Discount coupons comeback - every other service offers discounts on games for paid subscribers

-exclusive demos

-Bonus gold points for digital purchases

I’ll be playing some Pokémon Sword & Fortnite (with my kids). I need a new game but can’t decide between AC & LM3

So it’s looks like SwSh will definitely move into 3rd place with 2nd a real possibility as well. I expect an uptick in sales with the release of the DLC packs.

I know the game has been decisive but I really enjoyed it and I’m glad it’s sold exceptionally well. Hopefully the keep building and pushing the series further. There were some great things about the game but plenty of room for improvement still. I’m looking forward to jumping back in come June’s update.

@rockodoodle I think NBA2K might be even more skewed away from Switch. Have you seen the online community for it? Totally dominated by PS4 players.

I am not saying this to hate. I play my Switch 10x more than my PS4 but sports games & Nintendo haven’t had the best relationship in some time. I mean, Madden hasn’t been on a Nintendo console since 2012 and hasn’t been “equal” to the version on other consoles since the GameCube days (Maybe even SNES).

All that being said, I’d go nuts for a Madden 21 on Switch that could match what Madden 20 was on PS4/XBO but even that seems like a stretch.

Robot Cop seems like an odd choice but ok

I messed up. That was simply launch week #s, not the whole year BUT I still think it paints the same picture in the end. Even IF Nintendo quadrupled its interest, that’s still only 12%.

And FIFA is a lot more popular globally than Madden. If any of you guys what to quote me on this and check back during football season I’d be happy to talk again in the fall.

@graysoncharles @rockodoodle This is EA we’re talking about. How many other “no brainers” have they whiffed on with Switch.

EA is going to be dumping massive money and time into making Madden for PS5/Series X. Switch definitely will not be getting that version of Madden and I doubt it would even get a legacy version.

78% of FIFA’s sales were on PS4 with only 3% on Switch. I LOVE my Switch but Nintendo has never been the go to for sports games, especially not Madden. I’ll put Madden 21 in the slim-to-none bucket (but I’d love to be wrong).

I highly doubt it will be Madden. Not sure why so many are thinking it will be.

Personally I’m hoping for Dragon Age, Apex Legends & some of their Star Wars games.

Mass Effect trilogy & Sims seem like safe bets.

I’m buying this for the 4-player co-op. Love games they allow me & all my kids to play together.

Still can’t decide if I should buy this game or not. The hype is really making this look enticing but I know this is not the type of game I usually enjoy. Decisions, decisions...

That’s looks pretty fun. Hopefully the gameplay has a much punch as the presentation. I’ll have to keep my eye on this.

I wish they didn’t include Dewgong just so this tiresome argument about the national dex wouldn’t have come back up again.

While I do think Game Freak handled the situation poorly I don’t think excluding some prior Pokémon is such a big deal.

I actually am cool with DLC. Much prefer it to “Ultra” forms of the game. Even if you don’t buy the DLC, at least you can still access the new Pokémon that get added. I would have had a problem if they were locked behind a paywall.

Side note: Episode 4 was awesome & Nessa is the best new gym leader.

At this point SFV, or at least SFIV, should be on Switch.

That’s a very nice touch. Especially with all the indie games on the eShop. Nice to get a quick peek without having to dive into the games page.

I just downloaded the demo. Looking forward to giving this a try. Unlike others I have no problems with this game using the Fortnite model.

Honestly, I find my Nintendo mostly useless. It starts and ends with the gold coin discounts. Besides that, there isn’t a thing to do with it as a Switch owner.

I’d love to see Nintendo get more creative with it: Game discounts (Gold coins or %), NSO subscription discounts, maybe be able to cash coins in for a weekly game trials (like how they made Mario Tennis free for a week to try), discounts on physical items. Let me cash in some coins for a coupon that gets me a % off on joy-cons or other accessories via the Nintendo online store, etc

Since I haven’t gotten Animal Crossing yet ...I’ll
probably just be playing some MK8D & Pokémon Sword on Switch & Jump Force on PS4. I just found my Gameboy Micro & PSVita, so if I can find the chargers too, I’ll play a little Leafgreen & Suikoden too.

Don’t care a bit about online match making but cross-platform play would be fantastic. I have some Xbox friends I’d like to team up with.
