I have all these games but my daughter, who just got a Switch Lite does not. Gonna have to pick up Odyssey & LM3!

I remember playing Red when it released. I was about 11 or 12 years old. Charmander really did feel like my partner. Like there was real growth over the course of the game. Kinda miss that in the newer game BUT it could just be my adult brain compared to the mind of a child.

I have never played DP so it’s not super familiar to me but when I watched the reveal yesterday there were times where I was legitimately not sure If was seeing a clip from the original or the Switch remake. That’s…not good.

I’ll be getting the game and I’m sure I’ll enjoy it but it’s a little on the disappointing side, graphics-wise. I voted for Let’s Go art-style in the poll. I thought it was cute & colorful and would be fine for a remake. The Pokémon/trainer battles look very Let’s Go graphically. SwSh-style looks can be saved for new games.

I know both my 9 & 11 year old, who are huge Pokemon fans, were underwhelmed by the look of the game.

I love turn-based RPGs but for some reason I haven’t been pulled in by Bravery Default or Octopath. Maybe I need to give them another try (only played demos). I need a new RPG in my life.

Im ok with another Let’s Go game. I didn’t spend anywhere near as much time with it as I did Sword (345 hours vs 55 hours) but I enjoyed the bright, fun style of the game. I feel like Let’s Go games could allow mainline games to have two year cycles by alternating releases. No matter what, more Pokemon games is a win for me.

We have lots of reds & lots of blues. Hopefully we get a few more options. Would love a solid black pair similar to what came on the dev units.

Got this for my son for Christmas. He’s been collecting cards for about a year but never really knew how to play (neither did I). This made it very easy & came with some really cool stuff too.

Love the controller. Might have to start collecting some of the Pokémon controllers. I’ve seen a few now that I really like.

I am a HUGE Suikoden fan. It’s my all-time favorite RPG series. I will be crushed if this doesn’t come to Switch. I backed the project (my 1st time ever) but if it doesn’t come to a Nintendo platform I may request a refund.

Just got 4 copies. We’re all digital in my house so everyone just bought a copy from the eShop. Can’t wait to dive in after work today! Love this game on Wii U but never beat it so between the remaining levels I missed and the new content I have a lot to look forward too.

They can do all the concerts & celebrity stuff they want, idc.

In the end, I just need some new card packs, ports of older games to the Switch eShop, new game announcements (Switch, no mobile) & new animated & live-actions movies/shows.

I’ll pick this up but will definitely be starting with the free version. There are some many battle royale games now I can’t see throwing $50 at this at launch.

I added to the count as my daughter received a Switch Lite & Pokémon Sword for her birthday in November. That made it 4 Switches & 4 copies of Pokémon SwSh in total for my household. All 4 of us got the expansions as well.

When they say “Let’s Go style catching” I hope they simply mean motion controls to throw the Pokéball. If it’s traditional battles with wild Pokémon but motion controls for the catching, I’m ok.

I honestly wouldn’t fully be against a Let’s Go Sinnoh but a traditional game would be my preference. I spend about 80 hours w/ Let’s Go but over 300 with Sword.

And all my street has is boring, old, plain covers...😤

Goes on sale regularly for $40 so I’m not sure I’d bite on this for $30 but it’s always nice to have options!

@pixelpatch yes, I’m sure we’ll play that way too although its a bit chaotic. Are usually end up buying multiple copies of games anyways because all four switch owners in my house are all digital.

It was already day 1 for me but I’ll be getting multiple copies now that local wireless co-op is confirmed. Cannot wait to play through this with my kids!

This seems more my speed than Rise. Never had the chance to play the first game but always wanted to. Cant wait for this to release.

@JaxonH I must same I am extremely jealous that you have the DQ Switch. To me, that is the best special edition Switch.

Not a huge fan of the console but this Pro controller is 🔥🔥🔥.

I like the Pro controller & the design on tbe Switch is cool but grey joy-cons are kinda boring. Really wish they would have spiced it up a bit.

I guess its good to have it on Switch but for me personally, I’ve grown tired of all the FTP battle royale games. I deleted all of them but Fortnite off my Switch & the only reason that remains is because my kids like the game so I’ll play a match with them every now & again.

Metal Gear would easily be #1 for me with GTA being second. Most of the others I don’t care too much about. If I had to rank the rest I’d probably then want Tomb Raider, The Sims, Call of Duty & last Ridge Racer.

Day 1 for me. Cannot wait. Mario releases always get me hyped.

I’d be down for a second game. I’d need about twice as many Pokémon and maybe a beefed up story mode. Maybe add in some alternate modes as well.

Probably some sort of photo sharing option. After all, the game is all about taking beautiful pictures of Pokemon, so you need to be able to share them. Younger kids might now have a social media account to post them to so this would do the trick.

Oh hell yeah. I really enjoyed this on my PS3 but never gabe it as much time as I should have (never completed it). Would totally love to jump back in on Switch.

This game looks fun. Might be the only EA title I’ll buy on Switch (pending review of course, since I dont trust EA to make it a good port)

Still grinding on Pokemon Sword. I’ll probably play some Among Us with my kids & then I’ll have to decide if I want to start Ni No Kuni or Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Need to scratch my RPG itch and both of those games having been sitting on my Switch untouched for months.

MOBA’s aren’t really my thing nor are games with micro-transactions, cool down timers, etc (any of those mobile phone trappings). I hope this turns out to be great for all the Pokémon fans that do enjoy this type of thing.

@Krisi It’s 2021...I think AAA developers can & should be able to handle this with ease. The Switch is definitely powerful enough. I think it add quite a bit to a game actually, in both immersion & exploration.

I could see it making some of the linear paths seem smaller/worse but I’m hoping for a modern re-imagining that would expand & beef up the world to 2021 AAA levels.

I’m down! Hopefully they’ll add some of the new things like Wild Areas to the Diamond & Pearl games (or at least full-camera control throughout).

Never played the original Snap but this lions fun. Always looking for more ways to fill my Pokemon fix.

side note: I’m going to need some more Pokemon ports or new games for this 25th anniversary announcement

This is so day-1 for me! I cannot wait. I absolutely loved this game on Wii U & the added content sounds fantastic.

Some of these upgrades sound nice, some a little ridiculous (and IMO, useless)

Just give me:

-720p locked w/ ability to hit 1080p in portable

-1080p locked in handeld

-4K streaming ability for apps (output to TV, not in handheld)

-longer battery

-reduced bezel & anti-reflective screen, also increased screen brightness

-driftless joy-cons

-beefed up SoC able to handle so Switch can run ports at original PS4 capability

I LOVED this game on Wii U. It’s probably my favorite LEGO game and I enjoyed it much more than LMS2. Funny enough, my son was just asking to rebuy this for our PS4 since we no longer have our Wii U. Might need to hold off and get it for Switch instead. Hopefully it comes with a $19.99 price tag.

Questions about the co-op? Is it couch co-op only (which I DO love) or can you also play online co-op or wireless co-op?

Seeing this just makes me super sad the Orlando version has been suspended indefinitely. I’ve dreamed of a place like this since the 80’s. Maybe once all my kids are off to college I can take a trip to Japan.

Eating & gaming is a strange combo. I’d eat before I game or after I game but never while gaming.

I dont know if I’m in the minority or not (and I don’t really care) but I loved BotW’s voice acting. I thought it was well done & sorely needed in a game that could have felt empty.

There are so other franchises Id line to see take the plunge too (Pokemon, FE, etc)

Are the twigs really that difficult to find? I had enough to make 4 wreaths.

I REALLY hope we get some of the older games ported to Switch with the ability to transfer Pokemon from them directly into Home.

Hopefully we get news on Detective Pikachu 2 movie & other live-action adaptations.

I’d settle for surprise SwSh DLC or even a Go Johto.

@JonComms This! There are a lot of negatives & positives to cloud gaming but if the Switch cloud games were under 1 monthly subscription it would alleviate a lot of the negative pain points. Not sure how Nintendo would work it out with the 3rd parties tho.

Glad the deals end AFTER Christmas/Holidays. Gives people a chance to use any money or gift cards on games they want but didn’t get.
