Darn, thats a shame. I wasn’t expecting a masterpiece but figured I’d pick this up for my 8 yr old son if it was at least a 6/10 type-game since he seemed interested after seeing the trailer. Way have to wait for it to go on deep discount.

I am picking this up for my kids (and me, lol) as a Christmas present. Hopefully I’ll be able to find one easily around the holidays.

I’m beyond bummed this may never come to Orlando 😢. Just another reason a trip to Japan keeps moving higher & higher up on my bucket list.

$29.99 kinda steep for a mobile game port. The original was $7.99 on iOS. Oceanhorn is a well done game but this should be a $14.99 price point on Switch at most.

Actually looks ok. I’d watch it in theaters. CGI looks good. I’m ok with some mindless action. 👍🏼

And they wonder why only 2% of sales came from Switch. EA hasn’t gotten a $1 from me in YEARS and will continue to miss out on my support. Used to be one of my favorite developers in the 90s.

@arabiansanchez I love the joy-con & understand you are “kinda” getting two controllers when you get a pair but the DualSense 5 has just as much tech packed in. PlayStation made a big to-do about it and how DualShock 4 can’t be used for PS5 games due to all the features the new controller adds that you’ll need for PS5 games. Dualshock 4 can be used to play PS4 games on PS5 though.

Would be great to see joy-cons drop to $59.99 for a pair. $79.99 is just too much. Especially when brand new DualSense 5 controllers are going for $60. I’m guessing X Series controllers are similarly priced.

I find all these people who say “30% is too much” to be hilarious. Doesn’t matter if you are talking Apple & the App Store or the eShop/PSN/XBL/Google Play etc. How do you know its “way too much”? Because developers say so? Show me some financial breakdown to back up your claim. Show me comparative figures to the cost of selling in brick & mortar stores.

I’m not saying 30% is right but I’m not just to agree it’s wrong w/o evidence.

@Friendly thank you. I never played Pikmin on Wii U (or ever) so I think I’ll download the demo & see if it strikes me. I don’t hate the $60 price tag since it’s a new game to me BUT I’ve always felt Wii U ports should be capped at $40.

I haven’t been following Pikmin Deluxe news closely, so what extra content is being packed into this “deluxe” version?

Here’s an idea: don’t like the App Store rules, fees & policies - don’t make an app!

Microsoft is going this route with XCloud. They don’t like/want to abide by the App Store rules so they will simply let you access XCloud through Safari. No 30% cut needed or App Store guidelines to follow.

Epic (and any other developer) can do the same - but they don’t. And do you know why they don’t?

Because of the value of having your app on the App Store brings - Apple generated $25.5 billion in the last 6 months of 2019 compared to $14.2 billion dollars on the Google Play store and that with less the a 3rd of the amount of downloads as Google Play.

So if you want EASY access to a consumer base that spends & spends a lot: create an app for the App Store, if you prefer not to deal with that & are willing to forgo the $, then the consumer can access via a web browser on their phone & you can keep all the profits.

I think we need to realize being available on iPhone & available in the App Store are two different things and are not mutually exclusive.

100% there’s a future for Switch quality stand-alone handheld consoles. I much prefer a dedicate console for gaming, wether that’s at home or on the go. I have 4 kids of varying ages and they use their iPads/iPhones for a good bit of gaming but it’s a completely different type of game than they play on their Switch or PS4. I can’t see them just abandoning a stand-alone machine anytime soon.

@the_beaver Yeah, SwSh has already broke from convention. A simple look at the way Nintendo has handled DLC on Switch should have told you this wasn’t happening. Always funny when people have these “pie in the sky” dreams and get mad when they don’t happen. This was never a realistic expectation.

Why would not be $90? I really have no idea why anyone thought it would cost less? The DLC is NEW. It’s not even out yet. Did people REALLY think they’d get it “free”? Maybe a year from now, this could be $60 (but probably not).

Looks like it could be a fun little release for the month Halloween. I’ll give this a go if priced right.

@graysoncharles My phone has a 4K display & 60 hz refresh rate on the screen. Maybe 6.5 inch screen is too small to notice the difference? Might need to watch the trailer again on my TV.

Maybe because I’m watching on my phone (iPhone 11 Pro Max) I can’t tell a difference? Honestly looks the same to me.

They have already done FE: Warriors, which would have been my next thought in regards to Nintendo franchises.

For non-Nintendo franchises, I’d love Final Fantasy Warriors.

@IronMan30 I know right!!! When has Nintendo EVER discounted DLC? They rarely discount 2-3 year old base Switch games. I can’t believe people actually thought Nintendo would basically give away the DLC for free! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Wow...that os just terrible. I was the tiniest bit interested in getting this for my kids because they watch the show on Netflix but based on this review it would need to hit .99 cents before I buy it.

Looks ok. I’d give it go for $30 or less. Don’t know much about Bakugon besides seeing it in the toy isle.

My biggest draw to this is the multiplayer. I loved BotW, so the idea of getting that game (or even just a knock-off of it) w/ multiplayer gets me excited. This & Immortals: Feynx Rising are on my list.

I’m not a gambling man, but if I we’re, I’d wager this will be $79.99. I highly doubt Nintendo will just give the DLC away for “free” but I could see the bundle at a slight discount to really help driver sales around the holidays. I can see a LOT of people getting this with a new Switch/Lite for X-mas. I think a $90 sticker price, especially sitting next to $59.99 games on the shelf, would turn parents away. They might not even understand the extra content packed in.

@Wexter Thanks. I’m as excited to give it to her and she is to get it. She’s been sharing mine and really started getting more into Pokémon (and video games in general) this last 6-12 months. She plays with her brothers often. She’ll be turning 7 so I think it’s a good age. She’s getting the grey Switch Lite, a pikachu carrying case, Shield, MK8D & SSBU.

@Indielink No. I bought a sealed copy off a local guy on Offer Up for $30 cash not from a store.

My daughter’s birthday is 11/6 and I already purchased her a Switch Lite & Pokemon Shield as gifts. Wish I had know about this physical bundle earlier, I totally would have went for it. Oh well I guess.

Either way, I’m excited to team up with all 3 of my kids now for some legendary max raid battles!

I jumped on the DLC late so I just recently finished the DLC campaign but I’m still playing & trying to catch all the added Pokémon. Really excited for Crown Tundra. I like that it’s going to be legendary focused. Can’t wait to add all those amazing Pokémon to my dex.

The more I see of this, the more excited I am about it. Used to be a huge Dynasty Warriors fan in the PS2 days but it grew stale. I love how much they are incorporating from BotW.

My only disappointment is no wireless multiplayer. I LOVE local/spmit screen co-op so I’m very happy about that but as a Switch exclusive there is no excuse not to allow wireless local co-op ala MK8D & Splatoon 2. Good luck playing this in co-op on a Switch Lite.

To me, it’s unbelievable & inexcusable to not have at least one GTA game on Switch.

Yeah, I’m good with not giving Amazon a $1 of my gaming money.

Controller is 100% a rip off. I understand there is only so much you can do with a controller design but this is no effort to differentiate it at all.

Honestly, this look pretty bad to me. In both gameplay & graphics. Too bad. The idea is pretty cool & if properly executed, it could have been fantastic.

Just re-release on Switch eShop along with all past games you could get on 3DS eShop. Especially with 3DS production officially ending.

SUPER disappointed by this! I wasn’t going to get it at launch, as 2K games ALWAYS go on sale, but I was 100% onboard with getting it eventually. My & my two sons enjoy wrestling and this looked like a great game for some multiplayer mayhem. Hopefully by the time it hits the sales page on the eShop there will be some gameplay patches & adjustments to the battlebucks system, although I realize I am probably hoping for too much.

Never been a big MH fan but the Stories spin-off was much more my pace so I’m SUPER excited to see MHS2 coming to Switch. I wish this was dropping first. Going to be a long wait until summer ‘21 (good thing there will be plenty to play until then).

Respect! The 3DS may have started out on a bit of a bumpy road but it was a truly fantastic console with some amazing games. The whole 3DS family of consoles will be looked upon very fondly by gamers.

Need a Zelda animated series ASAP (no-live action) and maybe a live Metroid series similar to The Mandolorian. Donkey Kong & crew could make a great group of characters for another animated feature film and of course, they should do some more live-action Pokémon. Detective Pikachu was fantastic.

Edit: Fire Emblem anime & Animal Crossing cartoon series could both work well too.

Hyped for this expansion. Really enjoyed Isle of Armor and look forward to trying some raid battles vs legendary Pokémon with my kids. Always nice to have some more Pokémon to hunt as well. Hopefully there’s some surprises in this expansion similar to Pokémon following you on the Isle.

I know Pokémon is a divisive game now but I think the series is still a lot of fun & I enjoy the DLC approach as opposed to “Ultra” versions of games. One thing I’d love is the ability to turn on or off Ex Share any time.

@Kalmaro probably never. I’ve yet to see a discount on Nintendo DLC on the eShop and can’t remember ever seeing the DLC cards sold in stores at discount either.

Im still interested in this game after the reveal. Seems to check some boxes I was hoping for. Also raises some concern. People who played the demo said the works felt small. Only one area of the map was open but they were able to go end to end in 3-4 minutes. The combat system looks very button mashy.

I havent had an issues with my pre-order, because I got it on the eShop.

I’m usually not one for collectors editions or ultimate editions that try to entice you with physical goods but I will say that I want that blanket & keychain.

Meh, not really into this at all. As a father of four kids, I’d rather get these types of educational games/apps on their iPad. I guess for people with only one device, a Switch, this could be nice.

Im not a huge fan of Fortnite (my kids are) but this is actually pretty damn nice.

Still hope we eventually get a Zelda edition. We at least got a Pokemon Switch Lite & Mario & Luigi themed joy-cons. Zelda gas got zero love. Maybe the give us BotW2 & Zelda themed Switch when the “Switch 2/Pro/4K-ready” version comes out?

Side note: The best themed Switch/Bundle is the Dragon Quest one. Absolutely beautiful 😍

This looks amazing. Can’t wait! I love that they kept the art style of BotW but also incorporated gameplay elements too. I’m guessing there will be multiplayer (based on past games) but I hope online or wireless co-op is an option & not just split screen. Better yet, maybe 4-player co-op?! Guess I’ll have to wait to the end of the month to find out.

Im all digital on Switch so it’s a non-issue for me. Sucks for those hoping to get w physical release early tho.
