I love the Switch. Easily one of my top 3 consoles ever. My only concern pre-launch was “will there be enough games?” That’s really my only concern ever, with any console. I buy them to have fun playing games and want to make sure there are plenty of fun experiences to be had.

Does the Switch have EVERYTHING I want to play? No, but considering the backlog of games on my console right now, it’s got plenty & then some!

If you watched the Apple keynote today there was gameplay footage of Hunters running on new iOS devices. From the glimpses, it looked ok. Not enough to make a firm judgement but at least it was actual gameplay and not just a cinematic trailer.

Ok, this seems “good enough”. I can see having some fun with this. Added to my wishlist.

Not sure if true but I’m skeptical. Nintendo always stingy with price reductions.

I think the only discount OG Switch sees is on refurbished models. Why would they not wait until closer to Black Friday?

With R/B/Y & G/S/C on the eShop already, let’s just get them on Switch already.

Terror of Hemasaurus looks really fun. Reminds me of Rampage, which I played a ton of in the arcades. Plus, co-op games always appeal to me.

Idk…trailer did nothing for me. Most likely a pass for me.

This needs online co-op, split-screen co-op, and local wireless. Tired of Lego games only have split-screen option.

Im super excited. Dragon Quest XI S is one of my favorite games on Switch. Absolutely a fantastic RPG. XII will be a day 1 purchase.

If I can get $200 from my OG Switch on trade-in, I’ll upgrade. I play almost exclusively in handheld so the upgraded battery life (compared to the v1 model) and the larger, better screen would entice me for $149.

As someone who plays nearly exclusively in handheld, the larger screen & far superior OLED is really going to be nice. This is definitely not a upgrade most Switch owners need, especially those with the v2 Switch. If you are a day 1 OG Switch owner (like myself) or looking to buy your 1st Switch, this is easily the way to go.

Side question: so what game gets the OLED Switch special edition first? Pokemon: BD/SP, Metroid Dread, BotW2, etc?

I really love the look of the white joy-cons. Although this isnt the “Pro” leakers kept hyping up, it’s still an awesome refresh. I’ve had my Switch since launch & if the trade-in deals are good, I’ll 100% upgrade to this in October.

@Zeldafan79 you couldn’t be more wrong. They game a lot (Switch, 3DS, PS4, & iPad). We actually game together almost daily. It just so happens this month was dominated by Pokemon White 2 (3DS) and Lego Avengers (PS4) so when they reached for Switch, it was generally to relax and watch YT & Funimation.

I will admit, I have only used YT, Hulu & Funimation maybe 5x total on my Switch. I strictly game on it.

Some people (especially kids) might have a Switch as their only device, so having access to streaming services is a big plus. When I looked at my kids June report in the Switch Parental Control app YouTube was the most used game/application with 23 days! Let’s not conflate your usage with everyone else’s.

Nintendo should have extended some of their sales due to these eShop/online issues.

Im honestly so tired of hearing about a Switch Pro. If it happens soon awesome, if not that’s ok too. Cant stand the contest reporting if its imminent release. There’s a million confirmed things to talk about.

Wow. Pretty solid review. I was eying this for my daughter but thought no way would it review well. Glad to be wrong. I’ll definitely add this to her library.

“Nuzlocke” built right in, I like that. Really wish Pokemon would give us difficulty options. I’ll probably pick this up for the right price.

Based on Nintendo’s recent style, I voted New Nintendo Switch. The fact its taking over for the older Switch instead of people sold along side it, Switch Pro seems unlikely. Same for Super Switch. No way the go back to the U moniker. XL only other one I think is feasible.

Is it cool? Yes

Would I want it? No. I absolutely hate touch screen controls

The title of this article does the game no favors…

If they are going to continue with mobile games for Nintendo, Punch-Out would be a great fit. It can be played it bite size portions and control schemes using swipes and taps would work fine.

Outside Dragon Age, there’s not much I want from EA on Switch.

My son was just complaining a few weeks ago that the game stopped working. Could be a different issue altogether but when he gets to a certain point it freezes every time. We did try it on his & his brother’s 3DS, so I figured there had to be an issue with the cart.

I have NEVER caught a single shiny. The only ones in my dex are from trades or special events, so I am blown away by this! Very, very cool. Talk about dedication!

I’m excited for this. I had missed out on both games upon their original release. Finally picked up Ni No Kuni once it hit Switch and I loved it. Will totally be picking the sequel up as well.

My house hold its about 99% digital when it comes to Switch (4 units in the house) but I think I’ll opt to get this game physically. Never played Snap so I’m not sure what the replay value is. Might be better to buy one copy & pass it around.

Why do people keep asking for BotW2 to stop doing BotW things?

I LOVED my Wii U. It’s the console that got me back into gaming. It was also my kids first console. I know it wasn’t a commercial success but it will always hold a special place for me. Having said that, I dont see the point in buying one now. Just get a Switch and hope the last few games get ported over.

As long as all games were still available yo be purchased outright both digitally & physically, I see absolutely no reason a “Nintendo GamePass” would be a bad thing.

Punch-Out & Star Fox are the first two that come to mind. Mario Sports (Baseball/Basketball) would be fun too!

The control scheme was too annoying. Just really turned me off from getting heavy into the game. Oh well 🤷🏻‍♂️

If it’s PS4 Pro level power/performance in Switch form, then I’d be totally fine paying $399. That is considerable gaming power on the go. If it’s a 3DS to New 3DS level bump, then $349 would be the absolute most I’d pay, even considering an boost to an OLED, 7 inch screen.

Don’t like $ sales rankings. Not when consoles on the list can vary by 100s of dollars. Thought the same thing when I read PS5 became the fastest selling console in the US and it was dibe by $

I don’t understand why people think it’s too early for a Switch Pro?

It’s definitely too early for a Switch 2 but not a Switch Pro. PS4 & Xbox already set the precedent for a mid-life refresh. PS4 was selling very well at the time too. It actually makes perfect sense. I would be happy to trade-in my OG Switch. I’m actually experiencing some battery degradation at this point too.

Ok. I’m in. I remember pour countless hours into Turtles in Time with my brother. This totally brings me back 30 years.

Gotta admit, that looks very good! I’m ok with the remakes we are getting but this concept pushes things much further, which is more what I was expecting from a game being remade on much newer, more powerful hardware.
