This game is one of the best games to value your purchase. I almost feel bad I got this on sale years ago for $9.90. It's worth so much more than that. My only complaint would have to be the lack of save points right outside of a boss battle. I died numerous times trying to get back to a boss fight in a rush to get there.

I went with EU/Japan for the characters on the box. The fairy is ok but tells me nothing about the game.

@JohnnyMind I had zero clue that the game deviated from the standard gameplay. I took NA because I figured that's what the gameplay was and always has been. I've played very little of the series and had I not read your comment I still would think they only roll around in balls.

It will be all gameplay and no story....oh and Link will be silent lol

I like to say both suck but NA/EU sucks less.

It could help with sales of her games Nintendo! They only want Samus on Nintendo systems I get that but how much has having 3rd party characters help sales of their games being in Smash?! It should work both ways and it could only help Nintendo not hurt.

@Krisi I'm with you, while it's not the best game in its series it's still a good game. I liken it to Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hour Glass. To me those are the worst mainline Zelda games but with that said they aren't bad games. I much prefer to replay Sticker Star over either of those 2 Zelda games if that's saying something.

You could also include 2 Metroid games to that list Other M and Federation Force. I will never play Other M ever again but I think FF gets a bad rap because it wasn't Metroid Prime 4. It also wasn't a bad game, just not what people wanted.

While I would love Fallout 3 I've never played New Vegas and wouldn't mind giving that a spin. Seems people like that a bit more.

Had to go with Japan as it was unique and you don't see that type of cover often. The other 2 are kind of dull to me.

This was actually a hard choice this week for me. I liked every single box art but Japan really stuck out to me. Yes it's too busy but for this cover I didn't mind it at all.

When scrolling down obviously you see EU/NA first and I thought that was a nice cover......yeah Japan for me as well! Looks more like a comic cover than anything else. Easy week.

Personally I lean towards BotW but that's only because I just don't have the time to play like I did 7 years ago. I've only played maybe 5 to 7 hours of TotK. Wish I had the time for more.

It's the first Steamworld game I didn't buy day one since the first Dig. This one just didn't have my interest. I'll still pick it up on a sale someday to try it out just because I do enjoy their games so much.

@rjejr once again only one game released in that whole sizzle reel in that 12-months. So who's to blame all the companies that didn't release a game or Microsoft for saying it?

@rjejr Did Team Cherry tell Microsoft to go ahead and say that or did Microsoft just come out and assume that? We have know idea what Microsoft is doing and nor do they apparently because only one game came out in those 12 months lol

@KryptoniteKrunch Totally agree but the fact that it's taking so long would warrant caution. They may have had a lot of trouble getting it to run on the Switch. While there are some devs that really know the system there are others that might not be up to the task.

@nimnio While I do agree with you at least for Japan in other regions it's starting to fall far faster. Plus the first party line up next year doesn't scream GotY material. They seems to be buying time with next year's line-up and they better not wait too long is all I'm saying. They dragged out the Wii for about 2 years.

I like to see what the console break up is in sales. It being available on Game pass probably skews this total a bit as well.

Come on Nintendo, don't make the same mistake as you did with the Wii and wait too long for the next gen. While I'm fine as I have a backlog of about 100 games and counting I'm in the vast minority and people will move on even faster than they did 10 years ago.

EU was an easy pick this week. The clock just looks so classic and adds to the appeal of the game.

@Donutman I have a 1tb card and out of curiosity I checked to see how much space I had.....less than 20 gigs. If I had the game I would have to archive something straight away. I still have about 150 gigs I could download but I haven't because of space limitations.

Just heard the patch is ......27gigs!!!!! That's bigger than every single 1st party game lol.

What if that was Switch 2 footage......just saying.....

Anyways of course one of the kids will get it and I'll probably play it with them but if it wasn't for the kids I don't know if I would ever play it. 2d Mario hasn't been fun for me since the first Wii game and that's only because of multiplayer. I prefer DKC/R by a country mile as those games have been innovative.

Hate to say it but I kinda agree with @Anti-Matter. While I'm glad the series has finally shifted from the New games it's still 2d Mario at its core. Nothing that has been shown has got me excited but I'll still probably play it sometime in the future. I have preferred 3d Mario since Super Mario World. To me that was the last great 2d Mario game.

Scrolled down and said the NA/EU cover looks nice......then scrolled further down and said wow, Japan nailed it with that cover. I was expecting something more cartoony or anime.

@roboshort Yes but it wasn't the same plus it was over in about 45 minutes to an hour. You just went from fight to fight.

Best buy knows Which company is going to sell the most physical copies in the future. They want to keep getting physical copies from Nintendo as long as they can cuz it helps their bottom line. The other companies are all going digital so doesn't help them out at all.

EU for me all the way. Humans on a cover for a video game would make me steer far away from that game.

Was going to go with EU till I saw the Japanese cover. While it's too busy it also tells me there might be a story behind all the characters they show.

No thanks to Square Soft......oh wait, thanks for selling that part of the company off. May just want to play these games now.

Had to go with the character design one from Japan. While many might not like those designs they are classic to the series and we don't get them on the cover enough.

I hate to say this but we are Nintendo fans and 2 franchises cross over to the mainstream and that's Pokemon and Mario. While I would love a Zelda movie I don't think it would do well enough even if it was a really good movie. I would like to be proven wrong though. Perhaps BotW has crossed over enough for good enough sales.

This battle is between the EU and NA for sure. I went with the NA because it just tells me more about what to expect. Nothing wrong with the EU as it looks nice but doesn't give me the whole picture of what to expect. The NA cover sells me on the game more than the EU.

This type of business practice makes me do the opposite and not want the game. There's plenty of other games to play that have a physical copy.

@Cashews I disagree for one simple fact, all the games on the Switch made from Xbox or their partners are some of the best looking and running on the system. They seem to treat Nintendo in high regards compared to Sony. I don't think they let Call Of Duty on the Switch without it looking and running as best as it can. That's just how I see it from the evidence that's out there.

So they're justifying cost by game length?? Xenoblade will take me that long alone and it's cheaper and looks 5 times better. You're porting older games and want top dollar in a market that's full of quality RPGs you're pricing yourself out of this market. I wouldn't mind having this in my collection by I'm not willing to pay more than $40 so I can wait. Plenty of other great RPGs to hold me over.
