This sounds like the most significant rumour so far. I would definitely get one. I bought my Switch on the day it was released and it's a lil creaky now but obvs still would want to play all my games (of which I've completed maybe half). Could give the original to my niece or keep as a spare so I'M IN! That would explain why we'd seen nothing of Metroid 4 and it had to be 'started again'.

I know everyone likes to moan but at the end of the day Nintendo will have a plan and lord knows they use Mario enough.

I agree with the chat that do we need another Splatoon game when there are SO many IPs that haven't had ANY love for years (F-Zero, Kid Icarus, Advance Wars etc etc). I love SS and its an amazing game if you've not played it but as the big surprise, Splatoon was disappointing. They love it in Japan though so it's not totally out there.

@drewber2635 Final Fantasy Tactics is one of my favourite games of ALL TIME. If this is the next best thing to a full fat sequel, I shall take it with pleasure. I wish they would just fulfil just a little fan service but I can't complain. It's Square Enix, its fantasy and it's strategy.

Skyward Sword is an awesome game and clearly a precursor to BOTW. It's one of the only ones not to get the HD treatment so it was the obvious choice.

I think Martinet is great for 'woohoo's and 'it's a me's but would he be good for a whole movie? I think they'll get a bigger name that can do decent turn as Mario. They won't leave anything to chance with this one.

How many times do we have to go over the fact that Nintendo have every right to protect their IPs and us as fans should support them. When people are zipping round the actual busy roads of Tokyo dressed as Mario and potentially getting mown down, does that really portray a great image? Maybe this proves Nintendo look at mods before they take them down which I guess is a compliment.

It's to be expected in the current climate. As with most delays, it only serves to make a better game. Clearly he needs more time working on his ring.

Not only were they basically stealing Nintendo's most beloved and lucrative IP but using it in a dangerous fashion that would only have ended in disaster at some point with Nintendo getting the blame when it was reported and people just saw Mario. I don't understand why people get bothered when Nintendo protect their own IPs, that's why we're all here for goodness sake.

@TG16_IS_BAE Haha he should be a politician! To be fair we're never going to get the 'best' of Bethesda on Switch as it doesn't have the processing power so it'll always be a scaled down version. So no change there really for us lot lol!

@Gwynbleidd I just remember playing it in the 90s and thinking it was gross. Look at the original artwork for the older games or better yet play them and you'll know what I'm talking about. Maybe this new one is different. At least it's not Panty Party lol

I played this a few times when I was a teenager and thought it was gross then and it looks just as gross now. He's basically an ugly old perv trying to get with beautiful girls so basically titillating 'sad computer game nerds that couldn't do it in the real world'. Frankly it's a stereotypical, mysogynistic insult and I cannot believe it's still going!!

The show is AWESOME and this looks like a Streets Of Rage/Double Dragon clone but with a bit more depth (like the show) so it defo goes on the wish list.

There's been so much debate about this and ultimately I think we'd rather they spend the time working on the likes of BOTW2 that re-doing an old game that people are going to buy anyway. Sure a Mario 64 remake would have been nice, but not if it put Metroid 4 or BOTW2 back further.

So are we to assume that Toad's ears are under his hat? Or is it some sort or mushroom/head combo and he gets the music via osmosis? Intriguing

At last the UK is over the Wii U lull. I was sad to see the closure of my local GAME but after seeing Nintendo's 500% revenue increase, it's clear video gaming is going to be just fine!

I was all booked to fly to Japan with my whole family on July 13th, watch some Olympics and go to Super Nintendo World. Hotels all booked, the lot. Luckily the hotels refunded, flights not yet. Gutted doesn't cover it. Hopefully we'll make it next year.

What about sailing, Wind Waker style? Or digging out caves, or building high mountains. SO much they could do and we know how creative Nintendo can be. I don't even think there will be a sequel, they'll just keep on adding to this game while the Switch is still viable. Content for years basically!

@PickledKong64 I've not played Blasphemous is it any good? I have loved Metroidvania's before they was even a name for them haha! It's a (sub)genre after all, so if you like them, you pretty much always will.
