@Spiders How about music and presentation etc? I was a little disappointed with Mercenaries Saga Chronicles and found it a little glitchy/samey. Is it better and more polished? Advance Wars polished??

Clearly this was all a planned skit hence him being mic'ed up and given the chance to plug his movie. Also he would have approved the perceived slight on the film by Andy Samberg. It's all marketing, people! And good marketing at that. Also note that Spider-verse won best animation over all the Disney offerings so anything can happen if the movie is great.

@redd214 Totally, there's a reason companies are developing games that look like they're from the 16Bit era like Octopath and not ropey 3D ones from the 32 Bit era. Not aged well at all.

You can bet they put the ARMS characters in Smash down the line. It's a Nintendo fighting game IP FFS, they MUST have thought about it. Maybe this is some sort or cross referencing event...

I think it's in pretty poor taste considering the state of knife crime in our cities at the moment in the UK.

I don't think Nintendo can really complain seeing as they 'rewarded' players for getting 100% in Super Metroid by having Samus in her bra and panties. Not very PC by today's standards. Roll on Cosplay Bowsettes the world over next year mark my words haha!

@thesilverbrick They will sell a bucket load and it's good to know that they aren't just rushing out a core RPG and doing a half assed job. These are interim games and hit the Go! audience which is HUGE.

No s*!t they want to work with Mario, that would treble the sales! And mate we've all been playing Mario game since we were kids. I love Fire Emblem and Zelda but have played both games and they're samey and boring. Has everyone really run out of ideas that they can't continue on a main series (I'm looking at you Star Fox/F-Zero mash up!)?

@gatorboi352 Hmm maybe not a huge impact on sales but culturally yes. It'll be a lot more people seeing what Labo can do. While I've said before that Labo is pretty niche and mainly for parents with kids, this sort of broadens the appeal much like the guy Djing with it did. Either way it shows how relevant Nintendo is at the moment, especially in the US and Japan.

Just going to bed here in the UK and this has made my day. She sounds amazing and what they've done with Labo is incredible. Hooray for Jimmy Fallon. It's on 1.5million views atm on YT, I bet it'll be about 5 by the time I get up lol. GENIUS.

@tourjeff YES. JUST GIVE US A NEW PROPER F-ZERO! Mixing genres worked so well with Federation Force after all. The Switch is the perfect platform to move ALL of their main IP's forward just like Metroid 4 etc...

@impurekind It's very niche I would say and not for people without young kids so I expect it'll truck along for birthday as Christmas's etc. My sister got it for her husband and the kids to play with so the market is limited I guess.

@Stocksy Well said! The Wii U was the first Nintendo machine I didn't get since the bloody NES so bringing games over makes so much sense. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is one of the best selling games on the Switch so clearly it's the right idea no matter what naysayers on this site may say. 'Moan moan moan' more than 'port port port'! Sigh. Just be glad for the amount of choice we now have guys.

Ah it's a wonderful game. Have already sunk 80 odd hours into it. It's all about being intuitive and making your own missions. Like working out how to make more money, getting to the bottom of the mines, collecting everything in the community centre etc etc. You sort of have to go with the flow and the longer you play it the more involved you get in its mysteries.

Anyone who was going to buy it on the Wii U is most likely to have done it already so I don't really see the problem.

@chardir Supermarkets seemed to have dropped Nintendo since Wii U as I never see anything to do with Switch in any of the major ones. Someone in sales at Nintendo UK is seriously not doing their job IMO.

@Heavyarms55 I would say the street takeover in New York City for the release of Super Mario Odyssey along with a recreation of the dance etc was pretty impressive. They don't bother so much with the UK sadly.
