I have to say that I am just nearing the end of Bloodstained and although on Switch it's glitchy AF, I have LOVED it. I watched the documentary on here yesterday about 16Bit Castlevania's and lamented how creative Konami used to be. Let's hope they see the success of the retro collections, the Netflix show and Bloodstained and develop a core series side scroller that would live up to the 'vania' of metroidvania. I mean, when you're one half of the origination of a whole genre, that's got to count for something! Super Castlevania V please!

@Cool_Squirtle Hahaha yeah I can see that. Shouldn't have mentioned weeding. Lol. I also didn't think I'd like Stardew Valley but I got obsessed. Let's say it's a tale of discovery, innovation and socialisation where you are free to put your creativity to good use and be the person you always dreamed of being. Haha.

@RenanKJ I totally thought that hence never playing it before and sicking to Zelda, Mario and Metorid. It's lovely though, you can really get sucked in doing somewhat menial tasks (you'll be weeding your island in a way you'd never touch your own garden) and it's just generally sweet, undemanding and gives you a sense of wellbeing and a smile.

Basically Animal Crossing has totally 'crossed over' to mainstream media and that's in no small part down to the pandemic and the perfect timing of the release. Escaping to a desert island paradise and busying yourself with a twee comfy life? Yes please. Could not have come at a better time. I'm a Nintendo fan for life and this is the first AC game I've bought and it's damn fantastic. I can play with my partner who I can't see, my niece who I'm also not allowed to see - what's not to love.

When can we get UN Squadron??

Is Harvest Moon kinda like Stardew Valley? Defo up for that. I wish I could grow crops in Animal Crossing!

I think we would have seen something if E3 had gone ahead, maybe even have had the game this year but I think it will be 2021 now. As with Animal Crossing though, it's better to wait a bit longer and get the perfect game than have it arrive too early and be flawed forever. After the pandemic, I think people are a bit more understanding.

@hashkey Agreed and Miyamoto always says there's no point doing a sequel unless you're going to do something radical and different with it and at the moment, MK8 is the pinnacle of the series. It's not like with Zelda where the story/world etc is important. The structure of MK8 is that the only different things would be more racers, tracks and items.

What are the reviews like on PC? I always thought Stardew needed more mutants!

Yeah most people would research a new system and decide which games they wanted rather than plump for anything. Also maybe it's time to bring manufacture nearer to home and pay decent wages.

Yeah that was pretty dullsville. They can rest on the success of Animal Crossing for a while but the Direct Maxi's gotta have some bangers. BOTW2, something anything about Metroid and pllleeease F-Zero!

Maybe it's fixing the one island per Switch to one island per profile 'issue'...

@theJGG I have literally picked through BOTW for more hours than I've ever sunk into a game, looking for tiny bits I'd not seen after 200+ hours, so I agree with you. Bringing something like a Dark World while adding dungeons to the BOTW1 Hyrule would be awesome.

Totally what the world needs right now. Good natured, breezy fun with some excellent messaging. Stay in but go to a desert island. Isolation never felt like such a getaway!

@Nintenda No need to be like that. I was asking if it was possible for Nintendo to do that and if people were justified for being annoyed at them. Nintendo are a very customer focussed company so I'm inclined to say they might have a reason for the 1 island thing as opposed to pure greed.

@Crono1973 Yes but would it be possible? Could they do a patch which means each member of a household that had a profile could have their own island?

@Lordplops Haha and 2 whole hours of planning! Ultimately however this is super adorable and a great thing to do utilising a lovely game when everything else atm sucks.

It's relatively funny and cutesy to do this but one of the main gripes people have with vegans is the preaching, so getting on the Animal Crossing bandwagon to preach in a virtual world where people are escaping to in their droves at this time of global crisis is possibly a bit tone deaf...

I've not got it yet but I will and it will be my first AC game! Tell me however, is it technically possible to have an island per profile on the same Switch like you do with a save file on BOTW?

Make better games and they'll sell better. Also surely, seeing as the back cat sells so well, revive an IP. An awesome new Shining Force could easily rival Fire Emblem for example!

I LOVE the original Kid Icarus! Bring that back as a sprawling Metroidvania with all the dungeons, platforming and overworld lore. Could be astounding! Uprising I didn't like, suddenly it was Space Harrier, yuk. No platforming or puzzles etc.

@Doofenshmirtz Of course I get that it's joke game. I didn't see any men's underwear however. Nintendo didn't think it was harmless fun when they removed the 'stroking' feature from that game a few years ago. I get the point about blood and gore but that is extreme fantasy I suppose and this is just based on an actual rather seedy cultural issue.

They aren't 'fans' at all. Not willing to even try the game before they insult and abuse the makers of the game series they purport to love so much. Absolutely preposterous. Don't buy it if it isn't to the impossible standards you're demanding! Sigh.

While they are still selling like mad, no need to drop the price but I do agree that they should halve the price of Joy Cons as it sort of renders those of us with drift in a bit of a crap situation.
