@MrGawain Totally. That's what the guy who made Axiom Verge did and that's huge. You can see from the flickering that this doesn't hit any of Nintendo's quality control standards and it's that which will get them to go after the project. Oh and...You don't mess with Mario!

@Tao I completely agree and I go to the gym 4 times a week myself. Having a healthy life style is essential, I just don't think that that is the point of this game.

@PipeGuy64Bit The problem is that it's the messaging that isn't harmless. Misogyny is a massive issue in gaming, I am friends with the games/tech presenter Julia Hardy who gets abuse almost on a daily basis. This sort of game with a child-like girl in a bikini 'trying to lose weight' as she doesn't have this archetypal body weight image is exactly the sort of crap that propagates this negative image and attitude to women to kids that don't know any better. You only need to read some of the comments on this very feed to see what I'm talking about.

Wow, just wow. 'Young girl in bikini runs to lose weight' game? Pretty appalling tbh. Not even any sarcastic comments about how clearly offensive this is. No different from games that this site has complained about before for being inappropriate but with added fat shaming. I have no words.

How many times, Nintendo wouldn't be doing this on purpose. If they could have sold a million more believe me they would have.

@chardir Yeah I don't have a Wii U but they need to sort VC before they can start handing out discounts on the Switch and some of the games I want on 3DS VC (i.e. Metroid Fusion/IV) aren't even available grrr.

Absolutely concur with a better, more 'Nintendo' interface and home screen. Want that Nintendo soothing music! And of course we need Netflix, Amazon etc. I still use my Wii for Netflix FFS (I skipped the Wii U, the first time I've ever missed a Nintendo system in my life though, don't judge lol). And VC of course, the opportunity to tap into the craziness surrounding the NES and SNES Minis and drive people into the Switch's 'ARMS' is enormous!

@Kayfios It's actually great, just different. Set directly after Super Metroid, 3D renditions of awesome scenes from that game and the gameplay is in 2.5D. The music is great and the storyline works, it's definitely 'Metroid'.

Most boring story ever. Mario Run gone...came back. We'll never know why. Lol

Hmm looking at it there I'm not bothered really. This is a top down 16bit masterpiece. Sure the revamped tunes would be good but the original is the best and clearly it's Sony thing as I don't see it coming out for XBoxOne.....

Plus it's on the SNES Mini along with the best Final Fantasy as well!

I just feel like it's more of a toy. I love the 3D and there's no point forking out to go backwards. Looking forward to Metroid 2 with the 3D backgrounds!!

As a huge fan of the 3D capabilities of the 3DS, I'm so glad they've focussed on it and actually made it worthwhile and vital. Sucks to have a 2DS lol!

Brilliant interview thanks NL. He sounds so passionate about it, that's a lot of crying in the work place without going to HR! I've never liked the Rabbids but will defo give this a go, even if just for the music. Anyone that says that about Link to the Past and it's amazing themes gets my vote!

@Samus7Killer How do you mean? The graphics aren't smooth and there is something slightly jarring but can't explain it. When I say 'smooth' and 'jar' I'm not referring to Vaseline, I'm genuinely intrigued!

@LinkSword Well put and I expected question about that too and if some of the classic themes were going to be in season 2. Would love that, some proper orchestral re-imaginings. Either way, great interview and I for one would love a Metroid series in the same vein(ia)!

I loved it, so atmospheric and well acted and animated. Have been a Castlevania fan since the beginning and thank god it wasn't a hashed together mess like so many video game adaptations are. The right tone and pretty funny as well. I completely agree about the music however, there are some bonafide classic tracks in the Castlevana back cat and I was waiting for a theme to arrive which never did. Hey, theres always series 2 and the rest of it was amazing. Well done Netflix (again).

Nintendo killed Iwata?? Is he on crack?? No-one gives a toss about Oddworld so he can bog off.

Can we get a review? I always worry with games that price that it's not going to be long. Once you're getting into it, it finishes.

What I ACTUALLY think is that they will discontinue when the hype is at it's greatest and then reveal ALL the same games available on the brand new Switch VC, therefore directing all those people to buy themselves a Switch. BOOM. Now all they need to do is make enough Switches. When I asked in Game they said when they get some in, they only get about 4/5 and they are gone by the end of that day.

@samuelvictor They've now all gone in Argos!! I went into the store too and they are sold out. HOWEVER, I went into Game IN STORE and they have some so got me a pre-order for £50! GO GO GO!

So a grown man dressed in head to toe green lycra and a pointy hood running around at night isn't creepy AT ALL!

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Agreed, also my three favourite games from the SNES era. So immersive and perfect. Would love to play Secret of Mana 3....or maybe even a Switch Secret Of Mana 4 instead of the likes of I Am Satsuma

Bit disappointed Alex hadn't played a lot of these tbh. Not the incredible Secret Of Mana? And Super Ghouls and Ghosts is amazing and I played it from start to finish many times. No mention of the music in Castlevania? Cannot wait to get my hands on this, it's a stunning collection, despite only being 21 games.

Is there any way to report them? They all deserve to lose their positive feedback instantly!

@AlexOlney I ALWAYS use my 3D and hate it when a game doesn't have it (looking at you Mario Maker) and I cannot wait for all the 3D layered backgrounds in Samus Returns. Yay 3D!

Not really surprising they had it taken down when they were doing exactly the same thing and well, they do own the IP after all so despite the guy's best efforts, its still a breach of copyright.
