Re: Video: Let's Discuss The Big Question: What The Heck Is Happening At Nintendo Right Now?

SakuraHaruka

As many have mentioned, obviously not joking, Nintendo really needs to plan the announcement of the "Switch 2" well, because once that console is announced, sales of the original Switch will start to decline, and they need all that "hype" for that to translate into sales, since, if we analyze things, almost always of a successful console, its successor, although it may be better, does not "measure up" as the original; and they do not want to repeat the Wii U incident...
In addition, there are more factors such as people's desperation and the constant "leaks" of information that can affect (without forgetting the huge incident, the leaks to Game Freak) the perspective towards the console.

Therefore, in my opinion, the reason why Nintendo is only making simple announcements, if they were to release a Direct, they would have the effect of "annoying the hornet's nest", which would be counterproductive, since people are already expecting that announcement and if "it's not the time yet", well, hence the phrase

Re: Palworld Announces Surprise Collaboration With Terraria

SakuraHaruka

@JohnnyMind
In my theory, which I have already repeated, this lawsuit is just a "smoke screen" that Nintendo wanted to make, and it simply lets time pass so that it becomes irrelevant, and why?
As I have already mentioned and we have seen:
-The lawsuit is quite poor, even with what Nintendo is asking for, gosh, Nintendo always seeks to annihilate the opponent in its lawsuits, and here it is just like a small fine.
-The lawsuit is so arbitrary that, on Nintendo's side, they remain silent about the reason, and for Pocket Pair, they do not say exactly what the reason is.
-And this is the most notorious, we see that with Palworld, everything continues as if nothing happened; In the event of a lawsuit, the denfendant, although, as they mention, can continue without problems, normally they already take caution, but here, they literally go into "Don't care" mode.

I have a feeling that they want to do a negotiation "down the table" since due to the issue that exists due to the discontent with Palworld in Japan, the only way would be like this, through a lawsuit where these negotiations can be done, but I repeat, it is my theory, if somewhat strange, but that is how I see it.

Re: Review: MySims Cozy Bundle (Switch) - An Easygoing, Entertaining Pair Of Sims Spin-Offs

SakuraHaruka

I've played these games in their time, and I've always hoped for a sequel..., but still, remembering these games again will still be something nice to play.
Just one question, although I've already downloaded the games, I haven't tried them yet, and looking at the Review, I don't see my question, the first My Sims is the original Wii version, right?, isn't it the PC version?, it's a shame it wasn't the PC version, since it includes new characters and online, and although, ok, it didn't include online, but it did include new characters...

Re: Rollercoaster Tycoon Classic Is Making Its Way To Switch Next Month

SakuraHaruka

Oh great!!, long time since I played this game for a while, back when I had my old 90's gaming PC, I just hope they don't come out with the classic problem in Switch of not porting a game well, even games as classic as this one.

I still have a question about how Chris Sawyer made peace with Atari when a few years ago, he took them away the rights of his games due to problems that occurred between them.

Re: Palworld Developer Details Patent Infringement Claims From Nintendo's Lawsuit

SakuraHaruka

This makes me think more that it is as I had said, and that is that, to start with, the payments for the "damages" are very low, 33000 would not really hurt Palworld (I speak in the economic sense; and we are talking about Nintendo, whose lawsuits are usually quite costly and financially disastrous for those who lose to them), and about the infringed patent, it is still quite unusual because several games, which are even on the Nintendo console, use those mechanics, so it does not make sense to do something serious.

As I said, the reason why is because of the pressure from the public (especially the Japanese) who do not have a good opinion of Palworld, and in fact, there are YouTube videos where they make that observation, that in Japan, Palworld is popular but in the opposite way...

Some say that it is because of the action of Nintendo going after Sony by making Palworld its rival, however, that sounds somewhat ridiculous if we take into account 2 things past and present: there have already been many rivals of Pokémon, such as Yokai watch that have literally eaten up the Pokémon market in its time of fame and there was no lawsuit; And I doubt there is anything Nintendo vs Sony, if we remember that there is a Zelda movie with Sony's support

Re: Switch Emulator Ryujinx Might Not Be Dead, Despite Nintendo's Takedown

SakuraHaruka

@JohnnyMind
That's the point, emulation shouldn't be the problem, but the same people (not all people of course) make it so because they always use it as an excuse and defense for playing the games for FREE and not even paying for the console (and I'm referring to the current ones obviously), and this act IS considered piracy; and that makes Nintendo take action on the matter and as we know how Nintendo is when acting legally, it ends up affecting emulation in general.

If people were honest and bought the games and the console, and with that they used the emulator and the roms, there wouldn't be any problems, but, I repeat, that unfortunately isn't totally true and the worst thing is that many defend this tooth and nail, excuse the expression, but they hypocritically defend piracy...

And the worst, worst thing is that, still in their defense of those, they will say that it is to show that mega corporations are not defensible, that they deserve it and a long etcetera of excuses, but forget about the companies, the ones that end up being affected are the workers who, without owing it or fearing it, are affected in many ways when their jobs are not remunerated as they should be there...

Re: Pokémon Developer Game Freak Reportedly Hacked, Massive Amounts Of Data Allegedly Leaked

SakuraHaruka

As I mentioned in the previous note, they really keep insisting on bothering Nintendo, knowing how they respond, that they can even affect us as consumers and all because of the "joke" of those people who seem to have nothing else to do in their lives...
BUT, that won't be the worst, as always in these cases, we will see the entire Internet flooded with information that shouldn't be revealed but of course, it's more important to have "the 5 minutes of fame" by sharing that information that was taken illegally and many defending this, without caring what may happen in the future, well, enjoy "another day on the Internet"

Re: Nintendo Patents Filed After Palworld's Release Suggest Lawsuit Prep Started Months Ago

SakuraHaruka

This really tell me as I mentioned many times before, this looks very weak to use it in a lawsuit, showing, as I mentioned, that Nintendo never wanted to lawsuit this game and they so this more for obligation rated for protection of its IPs, specially because....

@ikki5
This!!! ^
I play a game in smartphones: Monster super League, and yes, it has a catching mechanics where the character uses "Astrocoins" (because the creatures here are called Astromon), and exactly the same catching scene: the character launch the astrocoin (well, here use a "gun" as launcher), el coin absorb the Astromon, the coin rotates trying capture the Astromon, if successful, the astrocoin bright and return to the character; if fail, the Astromon reappear in its site..
Again, yes, exactly, as Pokemon and any videogame Monster catching.

Re: Analyst Is Certain Nintendo Will Win Its Lawsuit Against Palworld Developer

SakuraHaruka

While here I see that some are betting on who will win, there they are possibly even making deals because I see this as something that would not be done seriously, and because as I mentioned before, if Nintendo had its sights on Palworld and Pocket Pair, we would have been talking about this for months and not now and very, very possibly Palworld would be history, as simple as that.

And also, what is the patent infringed in this lawsuit? I ask, because there are too many games of catching and training and creature battles on the market for years and some are almost carbon copies of Pokémon, and as far as I know Nintendo has not sued those games and some are even on their consoles, I mean, what is the point of this lawsuit, adding that it has support from Microsoft and Sony, and this could be detrimental to Nintendo, that is why I doubt that this will lead to anything serious, and that is why I repeat, it smells to me like they are looking for a commercial arrangement.

And in Game Freak's defense, they have nothing to do with the lawsuit, since they are already so busy with the next Pokemon Legend (and other games) that they are willing to waste their time (and reputation for some people) on something that is not relevant.

Re: Palworld Developer Responds To Nintendo Lawsuit

SakuraHaruka

As I mentioned, and for months ago, and I repeat again, I don't think anything serious will happen, and simply because this lawsuit is only to fulfill "the whim" of the people who have pressured Nintendo to sue Pocket Pair for this game; and I also repeat and as we know how Nintendo is, if Nintendo really had plans to take down the game, there would have been a lawsuit a long time ago, and there never was, however, the pressure from many "fans" because of their displeasure with the Palworld game was strong, that attitude is a shame.

and I repeat, I doubt that anything serious will happen or not, maybe they will even end up with an agreement, XD, because it is even noticeable that it is not something serious because they do not even mention the patent(s) infringed, but, oh well, we can only wait for the result.

Re: Nintendo And Pokémon File Lawsuit Against Palworld Developer Pocketpair

SakuraHaruka

Patent Lawsuit?, the only thing that will happen is that: either some small change will be made to the game Palworld, and/or there will simply be some "deal", where possibly this game will end up on the Switch 2.

In my opinion and as it has been seen, Nintendo nor the Pokémon company had any interest in this game, come on, there are many 'legal' games that take certain elements from Pokémon and they have not been sued.; They simply "pleased" what some "fans" insisted on, and well, it was done, but only to avoid a conflict.
If Nintendo and Pokemon had any interest, almost immediately since more was known about the game, there would have been a lawsuit, knowing how Nintendo is, that simple

Re: Video: "Keep Your Peaks And Valleys!" - Sakurai Explains Fighter Balance In Smash Bros.

SakuraHaruka

@JohnnyMind
+1, precisely for the phrase Sakurai said:
"The more similar you make your fighter's abilities, the more they'll start to feel like the same character".

That's why it's good to have a variety of options when it comes to a game, so that everything looks the same, without anything different; although, in the competitive aspect, it's another story, but I won't go into details (coffcoffFoxFinalDestinationCoffCoff).

Re: Review: Emio - The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club (Switch) - A Stylish Mystery With One Foot In The Past

SakuraHaruka

@Uncle_Franklin I also want a new F zero, however, this game (Famicom Detective), is also interesting, and there are many people who are interested in it (include me) and, also,
there are many more who have even waited for a new installment of this franchise, and it is very good that after several years, and after a remake, there is a new game, and if it goes well, this franchise has more future, and that could encourage more to Nintendo for developing other franchises like F-zero and Star fox, and maybe another sleeping; Let's not be 'selfish' with that attitude...

Re: Atari Revives An Iconic Racing Gem With 'Fatal Run 2089' For Switch

SakuraHaruka

@Toastmaster
+1
All the classic era NFS games (original, from 1 to 6) had original racing music, and it really is a great soundtrack, I miss that kind of soundtrack in today's games; Now, most of them are just licensed songs from some top trending or TikTok that are, most of the time, not even relevant for racing games...

Re: Rumour: More Evidence Of 'MySims' Switch Revival Surfaces Online

SakuraHaruka

For me, without further information, it is still a rumor, even though that icon is on the official EA page.
HOWEVER, and at the same time, it gives me hope, as I have always had, that this game will really revive, just have to wait for the update to the webpage and the video trailer, with the real release date.

Re: Rumour: Wii & DS Favourite 'MySims' Could Be Coming To Switch Soon

SakuraHaruka

Who remember MySims?
Me!!!, Really I adore this franchise, and for me, was very sad and hurt when the announcement for a "MySims 2" was cancelled, and well, as a EA's franchise, I understood that possibly something new from MySims would not be seen in the future..., oh well.
Now, since it is a rumor, I only know that until I see an official announcement, there is simply nothing yet...

"but", I keep my hopes as it has been with other franchises left behind in time

Re: Pokémon Partners With WildBrain To Stream First 22 Anime Seasons

SakuraHaruka

Oh Wildbrain, which was previously known as DHX media (and before, they got Studio B Productios), and they were the producers of the My Little Pony Friendship is Magic series and are currently the owners of the Strawberry Shortcake franchise.
Interesting option to stream the classic Pokémon series.

Well, This is Mario Kart, there are days that literally the races are a calm walk in the park, but...
There days where literally you are the focus of hatred and survival instinct is you unique friend, or... , only you, and only you in the he... .

XD

Well, You just have to keep trying and not give up.

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's GBA Library With Pokémon

SakuraHaruka

@sanderev
Yeah, The Pokemon company is owned inpart by Game Freak, BUT, Pokemon company is the BOSS of Game Freak, yeah, It sounds incongruous, but that's how things are, they created their own "boss" to have control of the franchise in general, so in part, The Pokemon company is autonomous and therefore, does not receive orders from Nintendo or Game Freak, and ALSO, They decide everything about the franchise: Anime, Manga, Toys, Events, when the next main game will come out, as well as the spin-offs and if any of them will come out on NSO.

Ok, i believe that someone need a candy, seriously..

"Play in the toilet"?
Please, no please, no thanks!!

Anyway, You still don't include Smartphones in the survey?, because that answer should be included too (one of my answers was one of those that should be there!), remember that there are games in there, including Nintendo games!!

Well, interesting surway!! ^^

Re: Pokemon Developer Game Freak Seeking New Talent For Future Projects

SakuraHaruka

@mariomaster96

and that's how it should have been in this generation, too many games in a short time was simply a 'martyrdom', especially for Game Freak, who besides not being able to do things right because so much work in a short time, ended up "paying the price"; receiving contempt (even to this day, there are still people who are unhappy, you can see them in the comments) for something that was not entirely their responsibility, but also, The Pokemon company, who should have been responsible for all this, but, well...

Let's see if with this, that we can see more development time and that they are hiring more workers, they help to improve this problem of rushed games developed.

Re: Dragon Quest Creator On The Challenge Of Silent Protagonists In Modern Gaming

SakuraHaruka

I remember a Nes/Famicom game: "The Legend of Valkyria" that before starting, it asked you some "personal" questions, especially the zodiac sign, favorite color and something else, although I don't remember...; The point is, those questions had a permanent effect on the character, from attack strength or HP/life bar level.

For me, if that could be translated today to give emphasis to the personality of the main character in question, that would help to have a reactive character without difficulty depending on that initial questionnaire, which in theory, would be our personality in the character

Re: Reaction: A Direct That Delivered, And Shows That Switch Still Has Plenty Of Pep

SakuraHaruka

I repeat as i said in the another topic; as ever, really un excellent Direct, many games for everyone and interesting surprises.
Well, for me, great games, but no for my favorites, however, is good to play them when i have a opportunity.
And yes, really, 7 years for switch is too much, but really still more games appear indicating that, yes, this console has much steam for the next year, and still, there are games that didn't appear, for the moment, as the Sims, well, the time will tell us when is the moment for the change.

Re: Anniversary: Mario Golf On N64 Is Now 25 Years Old

SakuraHaruka

As time goes by, I played that game a lot and I practiced it a lot, too much, XD; and then with the communication with the Game Boy game, playing with the characters that you trained there, was a wonder for me.

@Qwiff
Sorry, only there it was not using the "cable link", it was using the "transfer pack", the one used in Pokémon stadium.

Re: Retro-Style Racer 'Victory Heat Rally' Power Slides Onto Switch Winter 2024

SakuraHaruka

"As previously mentioned, this game is a retro-style racer recreating 'SuperScaler' visuals and "harkening back the age of Power Drift, OutRun and Ridge Racer..."

More to Power Drift in the style racing mode, it's say, using Drift in every corner, but in visuals, is more to a N64 game, Choro Q 64, that one is the more close, especially in the "chibi" car draw

Re: Atari Acquires Intellivision Brand And Rights To 200+ Titles

SakuraHaruka

Isn't it supposed that they have been out of their financial problems for a few years, especially the "Bankruptcy", and now they are "playing to eat the competition"?, If they already lost many IPs (like Test Drive) and in others They even had demand and dislike from the public (like Rollercoaster Tycoon), but... oh well, it's their decision, let's see how it goes...

Re: Feature: 10 Game Boy Deep Cuts That Aren’t On Nintendo Switch Online

SakuraHaruka

Despite not having been in the early days of the console, Konami's "Survival Kids" was a great game, and I could say, a great push in survival games, a fairly complete and interesting game for a Game Boy game; However, despite that "fame", it is still in the corner of the almost forgotten, it is literally not talked about much, it never had a remake, and I don't remember if it had a virtual console version or Konami game collection, only it had continuations that gave rise to the franchise, today known as Lost in Blue.

Re: Pokémon Fan Game Site, Relic Castle, Shut Down Following DMCA Takedown Notice

SakuraHaruka

@Olrun
And what does Game Freak have to do with this, if they are busy developing their games? This is what The Pokémon company is for, they are the ones in charge of controlling the brand.

The problem with taking down that website is that very, very likely they found use of money, that is, there was commerce using the brand.
And that is the most obvious thing, if Nintendo/Pokemon company find something that generates money (even if it is little and they have been alerted) using some of their franchises, they will quickly act, because there really are too many fan games (and with very visible websites) and with many years of activity and they continue as if nothing had happened.

Re: Talking Point: Should 'Third' Pokémon Games Make A Comeback?

SakuraHaruka

The idea of a third version no longer sounds interesting if we see that with the DLC, we already have the expansion that they gave to the original game, cheaper, without the need to start the entire game from 0 and without the need to drastically change the story that we shown in the original games (ahem US,UM)
However, if a third version were like Black 2 and White 2, would it be worth it, since these "third versions" were not only an expansion, it was a totally new story, ""a sequel"", so, well, really that third version will be worth it

In any case, I would buy a third version, however, really, as I mentioned, a version like B2 and W2 would really give a significant boost to the generation that is implemented like this, not for nothing, that 5th generation has been considered one of the best, in one point, for this <expansion> in history

Re: Best Nintendo Switch Strategy Games

SakuraHaruka

No Railway Empire series?
This game series is a spiritual succesor to Railroad Tycoon series, and specially, a excellent fan service for Railroad's fans!!

And no Rollercoaster Tycoon 3?, this game is the last 'best' version for this great game about fairs and theme parks!!
