Re: Random: This Working Replica Of Pokémon Legends: Arceus Took Two Weeks To Make

SakuraHaruka

I see that they have potential for video game development, and I do not take credit for that effort however, here are 2 details:
This news is some disrespectful to the development of video games, because a game is not only the graphics and gameplay, it is also the planning of how the gameplay is, development of a story, plot or a problem to be solved, the design of the characters (and their own), development of the environment, and a long etcetera, something that in this "game of 2 weeks" lacks a lot.
Many people who have learned game development can do what these 2 people have, but a full development is not done in 2 weeks; not for nothing there are many "simple" games on all platforms.
I repeat, I do not discredit the efforts of these people, but, this sounds more like reviving the conflict that many people have with Game Freak and its development problems, seriously, enough with that.

Re: Nintendo Is Adding A New Driver To Its Mobile Game Mario Kart Tour

SakuraHaruka

@DK-Fan
It is not that they are running out in ideas, it is that it is not a good idea to add new content very often, as this game is updated every 15 days, if so, it would be saturated with content and soon, in the future, the game would really be difficult to add new ones ideas, so the game would be doomed to an early end.
As they do, they make sure that the game lasts for years and that it really has new content, "really new", in the future.

Re: Talking Point: Which Video Game Song Could You Listen To For Ten Hours?

SakuraHaruka

This option is missing (for me): "any song, it doesn't matter which one"

And I say this because I would not mind listening to songs from the Sim City of the SNES, the Sim City 3000, any Need For Speed (1994-1999 preferably), Super Mario, Pokemon, Kirby, Mario Kart, F-zero, Dance Dance Revolution (or Bemani in general), and a looooooonnggg etc ...

XD

Re: Pokémon Legends: Arceus Has New Pokémon, Including A Horrible Fish Ghost Bent On Revenge

SakuraHaruka

@Carck
Well tell me blind, but seriously I do not see a huge difference in graphics of this title with others that, as you say, are better developed graphically, the truth is I do not see the grace for that, if it were something that affects the gameplay, I very much agree , but I don't see the case in this.

And I thought that the graphic concern was only for the, well ..., those who are very interested in them ...

Re: Pokémon Legends: Arceus Has New Pokémon, Including A Horrible Fish Ghost Bent On Revenge

SakuraHaruka

@Yosher
Here, At this point, I feel more like a "deep contempt" for Game Greak than a disagreement with the attitude of many about what happened.
I do not eliminate the fact that it is true that the franchise has not improved, but seeing even those results, I see the games "complete", not polished, but competent, and right now looking at Legend Arceus, it is seen that they really have a "commitment" to it. how incompetent they are not.
In addition, if you want to find more culprits, it would be Nintendo and the Pokemon company, since they set the delivery and sales dates of the games, that for me puts pressure on Game Freak and therefore, their games somewhat or quite hasty...

@Bentendo1609
" Nintendo maybe needs to lend Game Freak a hand."
That should the most correct and competent for improve the games, seriously.

Re: Community: What Was Your First Ever Nintendo Game?

SakuraHaruka

If my childhood memory serves me correctly, there were 5 games on the NES (on a Nintendo console) with which I "made contact" for the first time, and although one of them is the most famous, Super Mario Bros, actually others are the ones I remember the most and if I remember them correctly:
Twinbee, 1942, B-wings and Road Fighter.

Those were the ones I saw and almost played for the first time, since the console was not mine, it belonged to relatives (cousins) XD, so I really didn't play much, I was rather a spectator, but they were the first I met at Nintendo.

Re: Nintendo Is Shutting Down Dr. Mario World For Mobile

SakuraHaruka

Oh boy, this news does hurt, however, it was to be expected... , sooner or later, all games of this type will go away ..., it's a shame, since many games are good, but with this model of being a game always online, it does not help to enjoy it much and more if you want to play it more later.....

I still miss the sailor moon puzzle game, also succumb to this sad ending...

Oh well...

Re: Pokémon Unite Is Adding A New Monster Tomorrow

SakuraHaruka

@Anti-Matter
Yes, we know, in each note of this game you have said exactly the same and the reason why, and even the game which you prefer to play...

...
For my part, I still do not have much interest in this game, but because I have other games in progress and because this genre of games does not attract me much, I will see later, and if they add more of my favorite Pokes, possibly if I decide yes, XD

Re: Talking Point: Which Game Stage Have You Replayed More Than Any Other?

SakuraHaruka

Well, I can say that many stages of many games I have repeated many, many times that I do not have the account of how many times they were and which is the one that I have repeated the most, and not to mention the racing games where I literally repeat each track to this day.

However, if I can highlight a recent stage, it would undoubtedly be the Dash Dash Mountain from Mario 3D world, I don't remember how many times I played there, but I know that the same amount of levels that the game has is the amount that I repeated that stage.

Re: Rumour: Metroid Prime Trilogy For Switch Ready To Go, According To Industry Insider

SakuraHaruka

@MSpudley
unfortunately, rumors "sell" despite the fact that on many occasions they have shown how false they are, but as long as there are "masochistic" people (people who have already suffered from false rumors and still have faith that the next rumor will be real ), oh well, what can we do ...?

And in these cases, something that I disliked, for example, was with the Nintendo switch OLED; people, knowing that they were rumors and after the announcement and the confirmation that the rumor was false, they still blame and insult Nintendo that the rumor was not real, seriously people, what kind of mentality is that? !!

Re: Mario Kart Tour's September Update Will Render Some Android Phones Incompatible

SakuraHaruka

@Yosher
Unfortunately that is not how things work..., also, do you have a Smartphone or PC that is more than 5 years old? We are few who still maintain equipment that is currently somewhat obsolete and in operation, and also, there are already games that have suffered this as Asphalt 8, a game of almost 10 years, obviously that game saw several smartphones go by until today and it no longer works on many of them.

@Nego
PC games say hello to that situation, and it's been like that for years.

Re: Mario Kart Tour's September Update Will Render Some Android Phones Incompatible

SakuraHaruka

@Yosher Did you know that most likely, this "cruel" movement is because this next update, they add things that an old smartphone can no longer do, very possibly they will add MK8 tracks in the future, that is, anti-gravity and other surprises, no For nothing they are asking for systems with more powerful processors, something that with the old ones they could not and unfortunately they will have to leave out for this new one.
Not necessarily these improvements are bad and cruel as almost everything related to smartphones wants to award.

Re: The Original Nexomon Game Is Coming Soon To Nintendo Switch

SakuraHaruka

About "Clones", I prefer Super Monster League, well, It is not in itself a "direct clone", since there are more similar games and nothing to do with "Creatures that we catch and control", but I say clone because of the fact that there we "catch and control creatures" and even its name: " Astromon "

Re: Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Gets A Release Date And Setting

SakuraHaruka

Oh Great!!!, This is what I expected about this game, Test Drive is back !!
well..., only 1 year to wait. XD

-"which brings to mind the concept of the Forza Horizon series as an example"-
Test Drive unlimited was among the first to use the concept of complete regions as open world for racing, since its first version (well, the eighth) since 2006

Re: Nintendo Employee Tells Fans To Stick With The Current Switch, If They're Not "Digging" The OLED Screen

SakuraHaruka

As always, I apply my phrase: "I always expect something but at the same time, I do not expect anything"

Nintendo had already said on many occasions that Switch Pro not at the moment, but "obstinate" people believing all kinds of ""news"" and not waiting for an official announcement.
Now that there was an official announcement, it is not the console they expected, but, remember, the same Nintendo said that is not "Pro", why the hell the complaint?, oh wait!!!,

I forget, it is the internet, ok, continue with your complaints, whine and etc, etc, etc ...

Re: Nintendo Fears A Popular ROM Website Could Make A Comeback

SakuraHaruka

@ElStormo0

I see that you were not "rude" with your answer, but be careful how you answer me; yes, I did mention that "romhacks" are not, let's say welcome, but I didn't say they are not allowed.
My point was that when "offered", and I emphasize "" offer "", modified games, for certain reasons that I do not mention in order not to lengthen this, they do not end to the liking of many, and especially and obviously of the original developers, which falls into this constant problem about emulators and piracy (also, I emphasize "emulators" and "piracy" like separate two points).
However, I do not mention that "everyone" is against it and I repeat, I did not say that they are not allowed; You just have to remember that once a game is modified "without permission", there are certain rules that must be understood once it is released to the public light and beyond.

In summary, it is okay to modify games, be it for fun, knowledge, learning, improvements, etc;, you just have to understand what can happen once that modification is revealed, and "the rules" behind it

Re: Nintendo Fears A Popular ROM Website Could Make A Comeback

SakuraHaruka

my only opinion about it:

Keep the Roms for preservation, not mods (everything that involves drastic changes to the game and that removes people and companies from the credits, nothing that involves monetization and that the Roms are from discontinued and hard-to-get consoles. If all is well, then it is correct emulation.

However, if they are roms of current games, have their distribution monetized (in any way) and have modifications that do not respect originality or credits, then do not expect positive opinions.

Re: Nintendo Offers A Snapshot Of Its Global Employee Numbers In New Report

SakuraHaruka

@glaemay
Interestingly correct is the idea, however, more expenses also means many risks, and with more employees who have to receive their payment, it is well known that a great game with poor sales does not result in something favorable for everyone, especially at the time of the liquidation.
That's why Nintendo bets on the safe thing for them and their employees who earn very well and apparently, have a "safe" job, unlike other companies (cough cough EA cough cough) where that idea you mention, if it fails, I hope that those employees have another employment option.

Re: Rumour: EA Is Planning On Reviving An "Established IP"

SakuraHaruka

I wonder what it will be; I would like a classic NFS or Burnout, but obviously they are still current; I would say Sim City, however, there is a mobile version, so I doubt it, but it would be good to see a return (sorry 2013, you unfortunately do not count as good ...);
Perhaps the Spin off of The Sims: My Sims, that, yes, it has years that there is nothing new from them, and I have looked forward to their return.
But, well, as mentioned, there are more EA games that many people want to return (Mass Effect, Dead Space), and well, we just have to wait what that franchise is.

Re: Soapbox: Pokémon Legends: Arceus' Release Date Worries Me, But Hopefully I'm Wrong

SakuraHaruka

I apologize for saying it, but seriously there is still a lot of sadly 'pathetic' resentment to Game Freak, yes, Game Freak is the main developer, and they are not released from their responsibility for the results of the games, but they create all the characters and Pokémon, they develop the history of each region and the theme with the whole world of Pokémon, they have a lot of work and need time, time that they do not get thanks to the launch windows that other 2 companies, Nintendo and The Pokemon company, have in control.
or do not remember that Pokemon shield and sword was planned to come out together with Animal Crossing, however, Nintendo knowing the development situation of both games, Animal crossing was the only beneficiary of suffering a delay which was beneficial and we saw the results, in Instead, Pokemon ended up paying the cost of being rushed, a price that people cruelly blame on Game Freak, and for me that is very unfair.

I hope that this new Pokémon proposal is not overshadowed by bad decisions from the companies and the cruelty of the fans ...

But, well, I will not discuss more why unfortunately, and I apologize for saying it, but on this subject, people are 'stubborn' to talk (well, in several), so I will not say more.

Re: Soapbox: Game Genres Are Broken

SakuraHaruka

The definition of the genres in games, as mentioned, and obviously, to define the type of game it is, from racing, fighting, life simulator, puzzles, etc, etc .; from there can come the so-called sub-genres (which can be the same "main" genres) and now, the new words to give "new" sub-genres in specific or rather, "as people know it"

The idea is clear, simply to search for a game and know if that game is what you are really looking for.

Here, my example, I like the racing genre, so obviously the games with "that" label "are the ones that I will mainly look for"; now, however, we have thousands of games of that and despite my favorite genre, "no" all They are to my liking, so I use what I mention "sub-genre", in this case, I would mention: arcade; with this I discard several (such as Gran Turismo and Forza, which are good games, but not my priorities), without However, in the arcade list, many are still not to my liking, so I return to more "sub-genres" or "" filters "", in that case, "car-racing", and from there, "illegal racing", "pursuits", "racing with civil traffic." Therefore, the game (or games) in question would be Need For Speed, Test Drive, Burnout, Asphalt; these games have everything I am looking for in this genre, and despite others Games like Ridge Racer or Horizon chase fulfill part of what I am looking for, they are not the games that I have in mind; and well, as you can see, a game that I am looking for would be of several labels and well there is no shorter tag name for this, such as "metroidvania", which, despite being a modern "tag" and does not match the standard tag (and from the looks of it, it is not the taste of many people ), at least, for many people it covers many points and they already have games that definitely fit those ideas, in other words, if they say that this game has that label, it is already very assured that for many people, that game is what they are looking for without having to see more details

...
In summary, if I am looking for a game like Need For Speed, what tags / genres should I see and use to find it?, but do not tell me that games like Ridge racer, Gran Turismo or Horizon chase are the ones I am looking for because they are NOT, even though they all belong to the same main gender (Racing)
