Re: Japanese Charts: Mario Party Jamboree Holds Off A Bunch Of New Releases

@Anti-Matter
I see. Certainly some people believe that a console with lower sales is less worthy to play. I'm not one of those people, so we agree about that.

I'm saying that from a different perspective the PS5 is a distant last place in a contest between only 3 consoles. I don't think that would hurt the availability of games you want to play. From PS5 gamers perspective, and from your perspective, it's probably fine. From a Sony executive's perspective, it's probably not great. But maybe in the Japanese market it's actually really good. I have no idea.

"But upon meeting a dancer in-game, Kawazu had a revelation: despite being “low-resolution”, despite it being “a product of a person in Texas" on the other side of the world, this single interaction taught him that “it’s okay to offer other things of value outside of just winning or reaching a goal.”"

This is the craziest story. So what you're telling me is that Kawazu met a dancer from Texas, who taught him that life wasn't about success, but something deeper.

In terms of being spoiled, this isn't all that different from waiting to play two weeks after its release date. I suppose it's not great for people with a mighty need to play a game as soon as it's released.

For those of us who wait, we just start avoiding spoilers two weeks earlier. And initially there won't be as many chances to be spoiled because fewer people are playing.

It still makes it tougher though, for sure.
