Since this article was first published, I have played this game and I'm excited for a sequel.

I'm a Nintendo fan but I think two things are pretty clear:

1. The Playstation was good for the gaming hobby.
2. PS1 was better than N64.

I'm curious about the problem with the two-part split, which is similar to the 'searching for friends' part in FFVI, as you say. That part of the game is often considered a strength of FFVI. Does it not work as well in this game?

When I was a kid I had Star Trek toys and made up insane crossover scenarios like this game. "Oh, and Worf is here.... and Locutus for no reason... and... Batman?!" 10 year old me gets it.

I'm always impressed by the number of games you people can play over a weekend. I usually stick with one and play that for a month or more.

Interesting that 78k people bought PS5 Pros but only one PS5 game made it to the chart with only 4,600 copies sold.

I dunno. I like HD-2D but this doesn't look nearly as good as other games in the same style. I think I'd just rather emulate the SNES or GBA version.

Well, I'm glad I don't have the sensibilities of a modern gamer. Clock Tower absolutely is "a nerve-wracking thrill ride from start to finish," and the slow pacing builds tension.

I see. Certainly some people believe that a console with lower sales is less worthy to play. I'm not one of those people, so we agree about that.

I'm saying that from a different perspective the PS5 is a distant last place in a contest between only 3 consoles. I don't think that would hurt the availability of games you want to play. From PS5 gamers perspective, and from your perspective, it's probably fine. From a Sony executive's perspective, it's probably not great. But maybe in the Japanese market it's actually really good. I have no idea.

This is the craziest story. So what you're telling me is that Kawazu met a dancer from Texas, who taught him that life wasn't about success, but something deeper.

Maybe I'm weird but I see this as a race between three, not nine. PS5 is in 3rd place. That's last place. That's bad. PS5 is selling poorly in Japan. Last place.

There doesn't seem to be any point in keeping a game a console exclusive unless it's big enough to drive sales of that console.

Dungeons are prisons so I think Hyrule put way too much energy into those and ignored the smaller kind. How often do the monsters exit dungeons? Never? Pretty effective I think.

I always go to museums when traveling but, even being a Nintendo fan, this has no appeal for me. I can't think of any changes that would make me want to go there.
