Re: MicroSD Express Cards Are Selling Out Thanks To Switch 2 Fever

OwenGamer22

Honestly, standard micro SD cards not being compatible with the Switch 2 was one of the major reasons why I decided to skip out on this console.

I don’t want to mess around with having to copy and move half a terabyte of data from my old 1 T card to a new (and pricier) card and then figure out what to do with the old one.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (15th March)

I started Devil May Cry on the Switch last week, and played the first two missions. I like what I’ve played so far, and would like to continue this week. I’m also still going through time attack and mirror mode in DK Country Returns HD. Currently in the Forest World.

I might take advantage of some sales soon, mainly the Capcom Switch sale to get Resident Evil 4. I’ll also maybe get Trails in the Sky and Trails of Cold Steel while the Steam Spring sale is going on.

Re: Skullgirls Dev Is Off The Game, Taking Legal Action Against Publisher

OwenGamer22

This court case is certainly going to be interesting, but I’ve completely moved on from Skullgirls at this point.

What started out as a love letter to pop culture and anime was morphed into safe, FGC friendly crap. And Marvel vs Capcom 2 is available now on modern platforms, so what’s the reason to keep playing Skullgirls other than the story?

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Donkey Kong Country Returns HD?

OwenGamer22

I just bought a digital copy and played through the first two worlds. It’s great! The game is just as fun as when I played it many years ago.

I will say, even though $60 is a steep price, especially for a Wii remaster, adding the button controls and exclusive levels from the 3DS version while having the 60(ish) FPS from the Wii version definitely makes this the best way to play the game as of writing.

I was initially interested in Clock Tower Rewind… until I learned Future Club helped with the new “anime” art.

I’m not supporting them after what they’ve done to Skullgirls.

The new Metal Slug game looks great, though! I’ll certainly get that eventually.

Re: Some Fans Aren't Happy About Sonic X Shadow Generations' Changes To The Original

OwenGamer22

As someone who is very anti-censorship, I’m not too worried about the changes made here. I’m just grateful that of all stories to be rewritten / reanimated (I guess), it was Generations. The story even in the original version was a whole load of nothin, so it doesn’t really affect the experience for me.

What I am worried about is how future remasters / remakes of Sonic games will go down. Can you imagine an Adventure 1 remake with a “modernized” Amy Rose? Or what about that rumored Heroes remaster?

Going to be playing Sonic 1 and maybe CD via Origins Plus while waiting for Sonic X Shadow Generations later this week. I will also be continuing my adventure in the Link’s Awakening remake. I got the second instrument needed to wake the Wind Fish.

I’ll also maybe check out some games that came out this week, like Blazing Strike and Neva.

I’ll be doing some achievement hunting as the Noise in Pizza Tower. I was able to do the Halloween event and nab the exclusive skins for both Noise and Peppino, so I believe I now have all of the costumes!

I went back to Sonic Frontiers and tried to wrap up the Final Horizon before Sonic x Shadow Generations comes out in a few weeks. I like playing as the other characters, but I may prefer the base ending a bit more. I’m at the King’s trial right now. 🫠 I’d like to beat Sonic Adventure 2 before Shadow Gens comes out as well.

And still making my way through Shredder’s Revenge as Mondo Gecko, with the new soundtrack
