Fakest fake to ever fake.

Port: Very few changes beyond bug fixes. Mostly between concurrent platforms. E.g. Witcher 3, Divinity, Undertale.

Remaster: Uses the original code and assets in an enhanced form. E.G. Baldur’s Gate, KOTOR, Mario 3D land.

Remake: Brand new code. Doesn’t matter what was added or changed as long as it runs/looks better. E.G. Kirby Return to Dreamland, Crisis Core, Metroid Prime.

Failure: Game is worse than original. E.G. TTYD, Metal Gear Solid 2, Chrono Cross.

Hitting “Nothing for me” hurt more than expected.

This isn’t accurate to the original Japanese this is just another Hundred Heroes all over again.

I was until it was exposed they lied about making the translation faithful.

Yesterday we learned that the player experience was so important to Nintendo they cut business deals to improve it. 20 years later Nintendo is now in the bandwagon if violating their own source material to push stuff to kids.

Nintendo used to be based.

Making it not free is weird but otherwise IMO is better than 99 in every way. I know very contrarian let me explain.

1. I’ve had 0 technical issues outside the tiniest lag about one per game. Every Nintendo made game is worse and I’ve never had the server boot me in Pac-Man.

2. At least you can play the game when lobbies are sparse since it’s more about independent skill instead of not getting randomly bullied by 98 randos.

3. In 99 every game was the same and just didn’t make as much sense as it did for Tetris. In Champ Chomp some games getting multiple players on the same board is fun and chaotic. Admittedly this is down to personal preference.

4. 99 was ugly.

Overall my personal score would be 7/10.

Edit: final point you say stuff happens offscreen and wins are arbitrary, but that was so much worse in 99.

Did they say when they’re going to fix the character art? I know it’s early access but it’s rough!

No, it’s flashy but it isn’t different enough.

Does rereleasing it count towards how much it made at the box office? Like if it overcame frozen 2 if you added the amount it’ll make from this would that make it the highest grossing animated film (2nd if you count lion king which shouldn’t count due to being touted as live action)

I put down The Nintendo Revolution for name, and Pokemon Black & White 3 for dream launch title.

With all these lies floating around about the Switch 2 being delayed. I think. Intends did a good job reminding people that the current model is doing just fine.

They added a countdown to detonate your switch when the successor launches lol.

The source of the rumor of course being Nintendo themselves who already announced this 3 years ago.

2 months in and we already have 2 confirmations about Switch 2 not happening, might be a new record.

We now have way too many forklift games. Why is this a thing for new developers all of a sudden?

Remember just because Nintendo said we’re not getting new hardware this year doesn’t mean we’re not getting new hardware this year.

Out of curiosity is 12 mil good for a Mario game? Like how does it compare to other Mario platformers not listed in the top 10?

Switch 2 wasn’t happening this year anyway, it seems that the reports of it being next year or even 26 were right.

Ubisoft needs to be ok with having no customers.

And of those 2,360 I bought 7.

And of those 14,000 I bought 0. I didn’t add single steam game to my library this past year.

I haven’t been researching for very long but the only official information we have is that the console will release in 2026. People said that is unlikely but it’s really the only thing we have to go on. Maybe Nintendo meant 2025?
