@Westlondonmist that’s good info to know! Yeah i love games where there are unlockables. Gives a nice sense of progression rather than having everything from the start.

I’m keen to pick this up but it’s $90 Aussie dollars which is a bit pricey. Might trade a couple of old games to take the sting out a bit.

Good fun this one. I have to go back to it and finish it off. I like the more obscure releases on NSO as I’ve played so much of the Mario and co games a billion times. So a mix of both is appreciated.

Awesome write up, thank you. Went to Universal Hollywood in 2015 and had a damn good time. The Jurassic park ride was my favorite, though The Mummy was super disappointing when I thought it was going to be super scary! Super Nintendo World looks fun but it would be good if there were more rides. No doubt will be amazing in years to come. Maybe get there again one day (from Australia).

I have the first three EO’s on DS. Finished 1 and 2, but didn’t get too far into 3. It seemed quite a bit harder than the previous two, though maybe my character choice was not great. I still love the original best, but I’d be keen to give 3 another crack.

Absolute banger. I was surprised how good it was.

I ended up seeing a physical copy here in town, didn’t think that I would. It was $90 AUD which is rough, but I suppose there’s a nice steelcase and a few doodads that I’ll look at once lol. Couldn’t resist picking it up as I didn’t think the game would get a physical in the first place, let alone on a regular store shelf.

Was keen to play this one as I played 2 on the Wii and have some fond memories. Having heaps of fun so far, but I’m a fan of the era it came out in. Agree with the review score viewed through a modern lens. Still a good game though 👍

I don’t often go on there, I buy all mine from web browsing pretty much. But yeah, it’s not the most amazing experience that’s for sure.

Feel like I’d rather give this one the middle finger rather than a thumbs up.

PMD on Switch kept me warm and comfy for a couple months during one of the lockdowns so I have a soft spot for it (the game not the pandemic 🙃)! Would like it to be a little more complicated though. Definitely keen for another entry!

Hey that’s not a bad January!! I’m trying to be good - it’s the Summer of Backlog here in Australia - but most of these look quality.

I’ll pick up P3 at some point as I loved the original on PS2 but never finished it. Breakers collection as well probably.

It really was a belter of a year. Looking back there were some really surprising releases, it probably wasn’t really what I was expecting - but gosh there was some good stuff to play, and some of it still on the wish list.

Probably my favorite year of the switch so far.

I’ve gone back to Disney Magical World 2 of all things, which I was playing heavily before Dreamlight Valley came out. Now that I’m up to date on that (for now), it’s time to finish up the last few quests. Pretty addictive game actually, though the missions get grindy towards the end.

When I finish up with that I’ll spend some more time on Dragon Quest Treasures which I got for Christmas and seems great so far, a few hours in.

Ahhh Columns.. I remember getting it as a pack in with my Megadrive mk2 way back in the day. I played it a lot as I didn’t have much else for a while. It’s ok but will always be a poor man’s Tetris in my opinion haha.

Wuhu island is an excellent choice. Also maybe one of the Atelier series’ settings would be cosy (and over the top cute)?

The Disney Dreamlight valley bit in the article made me laugh out loud! I still have nightmares of Minnie’s damn clock tower and all the iron ingots requested by everyone!!

I was wondering where HM had gotten to, feels like it’s been a while. I’ve been enjoying these ones more so than SOS, but Disney Dreamlight has been an absolute game changer for me. Really fantastic. Having said that, I will probably pick this up as well.

Yay for a new track, being set in Midgar is pretty cool. I’ve had a lot of fun with this game. Also, have not spent any additional money and never would.

Looking forward to playing P3 again, I have some fond memories of it from the PS2. Never did finish it though, so now may be my chance. Yay for save anywhere! Would love a physical edition but will go digital if there is no other option.

Still loving this game, and still a few things to do. I noticed that wrapping paper has appeared around the valley this morning.

I kept getting a persisting bug where I’d start a conversation, but the conversation options would just hang there while the character walked away and I was stuck in place forever. Hasn’t happened in a few days now though.

Im here in Australia, up early and eagerly booted up the game.... but it appears the update isnt out yet. Probably midday here. I COULD probably polish off Eric and Ariel's last quests but i'll wait for the new stuff to breathe a bit more life into it!

I grabbed this physical the other day. It's good fun to be honest, I've been enjoying beating the time trial challenges. Probably not the sort of game that i'll play forever, but a good time nonetheless.

Nightmare before Christmas would be awesome! But it’s good to see the love being shared between both well loved and lesser known (Eric) characters! It’s a fun ride and I’m glad to see it be a success. I think I might die a little inside the day it goes free to play though.

Hopefully there are some good Christmas decorations and quests. Good to see more content coming, this is my most played switch game ever now(!)

Still loving this game. These are some good suggestions for improvements! My other one would be to make it easier to talk to Ariel and Ursula when they are swimming about out of reach. Or the ability to swim! Maybe some shell collecting?

Picked this up as a physical when it first came out, played a couple of times and enjoyed myself for the most part… then promptly didn’t play it again. Will have to return to it!

Donald’s tantrums crack me up. This is a great game in my opinion, I’ve cranked a lot of time into it. It’s my top 4th most played (behind DQ11S, BOTW and Atelier Lydie). Yeah it’s buggy at times but still worth it.
