The reason I like (good) rpgs so much is to level up by doing side quests and exploring. I like to be so overpowered at the end that I can steamroll the final bosses. But yeah, some games do this so much better than others.

This sounds great. But i am still finishing off Lydie and Suelle, then i have to play through Lulua before getting to Ryza 1 lol.

The only other Atelier I have played is Iris 2 a decade or so ago. Good fun games though from my experience.

Chorus Arc. I know Kemco RPGs get a bad rap (sometimes deservedly so), but this game is like a pair of comfy slippers. Nice old school feel to it without it being too taxing. I previously played through it on the 3DS, and now almost completed it again on Switch, as part of the Kemco RPG Omnibus physical release.

Might also get back to Sakuna (great game) and possibly play Horace a bit. Gotta say not loving it at all so far, but I’m only in the long painful intro period still. Apparently it gets better according to the review and comments on here.

So many good times spent with my Wii U. Awesome library of games. Though I am a bit tired of them being ported to Switch, I still havent played Xenoblade Chronicles X yet, so I do hope that one does!

Also: Miiverse!

Wow this looks excellent! Picked this game up not long after launch, and had some good fun with it. For some reason (backlog?) I stopped playing for a while. Looks like its time to pick it back up, finish the main mode and dive into this.

Great review. Some of you are being incredibly harsh and somewhat rude. I personally am enjoying this game a lot, but I can see other people may have a different - and equally valid - perspective. So far I’ve only put a few hours in, but I am enjoying the slow burn and looking forward to progressing further!

I already have DQ11 (absolutely awesome game), but havent opened my copy of Builders 1 yet, so no need to lash out for the second one just yet...

This looks rad. I've never played it though I would love to so will be picking this up. I have memories of Unlimited Saga. What a difficult and confusing game. That said, I'd love to play it again. I'm not sure my crusty old PS2 with no disc cover flap in my shed still works though! Hoping for a rerelease of that since everything else is coming.

I picked up the Premium Pack day one at EB Games. I remember getting there a few minutes before opening time, there were two or three other people there. I didn't pick up any additional games to start but Nintendoland was great in those early days.

I've still got it hooked up, but havent played in a year or so. Had some excellent times with Captain Toad, Xenoblade (via Wii VC), NES Remix, Zelda's, Project Zero, etc etc. Miiverse was the bomb and made playing random games a more connected experience. Really loved the VC as well, played through Breath of Fire 2 for the first time on it.

I miss it. Owning a Switch is great, but hasnt felt as exciting as those old Wii U days. Probably because it feels a bit more of the same. Same games thats for sure! Haven't been keen to pick up any remasters, though maybe I will for 3D World as that is one of the best. Proud to have owned a Wii U as I have so many happy memories from it!

Fantastic game this, loads of fun. Really love the "all carrot, no stick" gameplay that lets you ride as extreme as you like without penalty.

Had some amazing times with my 3DS. Got one on launch day with Street Fighter and Ridge Racer. I ended up getting a large collection of DS games dirt cheap off eBay to play on it over the years as well. The 3DS is still so much more comfortable to play and hold than the switch.

My favourite game? Chibi Robo Zip Lash. I know it got panned a little bit, but for some reason its old school 2D platforming just clicked with me. Felt like a Megadrive game (in a good way!). Obviously loved the usual classic games as mentioned in many other comments too, and some fantastic JRPGs.

That was fun. List of SNES games could really do with some padding out, but great to see one of my more random faves Krusty's Fun House on the list! Perhaps Bart's Nightmare could be added?

Always had a soft spot for this game, have played the SNES, Megadrive and Gameboy versions and they are all fun.

Amazing game. Would pick this up again if it was re-released on Switch.

Finally picked up a copy of this, with the physical release this week. Looking forward to digging in (not an intentional farming related pun). Especially since Story of Seasons isn’t really cutting it for me.

This was a really nice surprise actually. Wasn’t expecting much but there are some seriously good looking games there.

Chronus Arc is my fave of the Kemco games I’ve played to date. I played through it on 3DS and then got it again on Switch as part of the Kemco RPG Omnibus physical release. Worth a shot if it goes on sale.

Well I for one am looking forward to this. I really got into Light of Hope and loved the 3DS entries - Kind of wish they would bring back the terraforming. I’ve played the SoS games as well but honestly prefer these.

Picked up the physical copy of this some time ago. It’s well worth a shot, especially at that price! Not perfect, but certainly an intriguing game. Hope the new IP turns out well.

I got this on sale last week for a couple of bucks. It’s ok. Sad that a current game still can’t get close to the quality of the original Smash TV, which must be like 30 years old by now.

I've got this one downloading now. Looking forward to checking it out when i get home from work. Love Boulder Dash, the 3DS one was great fun so hopefully this is too!

Picked this up yesterday, its a great game. Having lots of fun with it so far.

One small aspect that i appreciated is being able to turn blood off in the options menu. It meant that i could play with my niece yesterday afternoon

So i own Garfield Kart (I like it!), Contra (I havent played it yet!) and want to get Root Letter, so clearly i have poor taste in games lol

I purchased this game. Its not that bad. There was a reasonable sized update that installed though, so perhaps that is what fixed it! I have definitely played worse...

"Castletroid" sounds like a disease one might catch from sitting on a public toilet seat...

@rjejr noooooo... don't ship the remaining dregs of Wii U to us poor Aussies! Joking aside, here is an advertisement for a no longer supported machine that hasn't been advertised here at all since it's launch so nothing would surprise me any more. I can't see many of these units being put on display though for people to buy, Wii U's are rarer than rocking horse poo on the shelves of Target and Big W (think Walmart) here. The shelf space has been filled with AC amiibo and Disney Infinty leftovers.

Woah! Three retail releases on Wii U this week? ITS ALIVE... for now at least....
