Re: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity amiibo Functionality Detailed

MajinSoul

Lots of people complaining about the lack of use but imo this is the best way to use them. Giving you a few extra items which you can also get via normally playing. The worst kind of use for Amiibos are the ones that work as DLC or lock features behind them like the Shadow Link in Link's Awakening or hard mode in Samus Returns. I don't know why people keep asking for stuff like this.

Re: Nintendo Convinced XSEED To Bring Sakuna To Switch, Pre-Orders About "2-To-1 Over PS4"

MajinSoul

I just don't understand why anyone would still be hesitant to bring their games to the Switch. I could understand why anyone would be hesitant at launch because of the whole WiiU debacle but now? Stories like these pop up all the time showing that 3rd party and indie games not only sell well on the system but often times even more so than on other platforms.
Anyway, I'll definitely get the game on Switch because it scratches my itch for a Muramasa game.

Re: Poll: Which Will Be Your Second Console - PS5 Or Xbox Series X?

MajinSoul

Just a Switch + PC for now. I can play all Xbox games on my PC so no need for an Xbox. PS5 games will cost 80 € which is a huge turn off for someone who doesn't buy his games heavily discounted. I also think Ps+ offers the worst value out of the online subscriptions (assuming you are in a NSO family membership as you should be).
If I didn't have a PC though, I'd probably get an Xbox Series X making it my first Xbox console. Microsoft is on the roll recently and GamePass is the ultimate value package.

Re: Soapbox: An Ode To The 3DS, Nintendo's Workhorse Console

MajinSoul

I still have my ambassador 3DS. Contrary to most comments here, I'm glad it's retired. Even at launch it felt outdated in terms of power and controls. Once I played the Vita it made it especially hard to go back the circle pad after playing handheld games with a proper analog stick. Still, I liked the 2 screen design which I already liked on the DS and the 3D effect was actually really good.

Re: Review: Pokémon Sword & Shield - The Crown Tundra - Great New DLC Marred By Decades-Old Design

MajinSoul

Seems about right from what I've played so far. Dynamax adventures are a lot of fun due to RNG and rewards. Having proper matchmaking is way better than having to join via the Y-Comm aswell. The wild area is fantastic and the new Pokemon are all pretty cool.
I don't like the writing though as Peony is flatout creepy. I also think they dropped the ball with the galarian star tournament by not having fixed levels. This just means we will stomp with high level Pokemon once again thus there is no challenge whatsoever

Re: XIII Remake For Switch Delayed Again, Will Now Arrive In 2021

MajinSoul

I hate these delays for Switch versions of 3rd party games. The conspiracy portion of my brain always assumes that they do this to get people to double dip on their games.

I may hold out for the Switch version of this though as I'm a huge fan of the original and playing this in handheld mode is probably a lot of fun.

Re: Nintendo Reveals The Top 15 Most-Downloaded Switch Games In September 2020 (Europe)

MajinSoul

@Yanina I'm really happy that it is. I've been binge playing it every day for a week now. Roguelikes usually aren't super mainstream but I think Hades goes well beyond your average roguelike game by focusing on a strong narrative, it's fully voiced with very good VA and it is offering a very beginner friendly learning curve. It took me less than 10 hours to beat it the first time while I still haven't beaten Enter the Gungeon or Dead Cells once after 15hours+ which is quite frustrating. And there's the "God Mode" aswell if you are really struggling with the game.

Re: Feature: No More Robots Boss On How Switch eShop Is Pushing Publishers To Game The System

MajinSoul

While I don't think the eshop is perfect by any means, I don't think it's entirely Nintendo's fault. I really love indie games but it is no secret that the indie scene is flooded with games of questionable quality and many of them blend together. I can't be the only one who rolls his eyes when he sees yet another indie game going for the good old pixel artstyle like thousand others already did. It's no surprise that these games see an increase in sales during sales.

Re: PSA: Use A Wired Connection When Playing Smash Bros. Ultimate Online

MajinSoul

I've given up on playing Smash online because the experience is horrible. I'm using wired but being on wireless itself isn't a problem. You cannot force people to buy a LAN adapter but you can improve the matchmaking. Give us the option to only match people from specific regions (Europe, USA, Japan, etc.) and show the connection to your opponents beforehand so you can choose to decline the match beforehand if the connection is bad.
