Re: Review: Yakuza Kiwami 2 (Switch 2) - One Of The Series' Very Best

MS7000

@Truegamer79 That's interesting. I would say 0 was considered the best (though I cannot vouch for the director's cut). I guess the real question is what specifically is not enjoyable for you. If the gameplay is the problem, I would say give Yakuza 7 (Yakuza Like a Dragon) a try. Otherwise, not sure what else to recommend without more info.

Re: Resident Evil Requiem Pre-Orders Live, Switch 2 Pro Controller And Amiibo Confirmed

MS7000

The Generation Pack. Comes with Resi 7, 8, 9. Comes in its own fancy box. Games are key cards... I get some people will collect anything, but it feels like it misses the point.

@SillyG Agreed. If you really must use Key Card, why make us suffer with 3 individual cards so we have to switch them out. All the disadvantages of physical with all the disadvantages of digital.

Re: Atlus Rules Out Persona 3 Reload Switch Port

MS7000

I was kind of hoping that when it came to Switch 2, it would be with all content, but it is coming full price with DLC as separate purchase. Caved and brought on PS5 for £18 a couple of weeks ago, and will probably play when I am finished playing Yakuza 8.

Re: Video: SEGA Shares "First Look" At Yakuza Kiwami 3's Combat Gameplay

MS7000

@AverageGamer Well, not quite what I was hoping, but I'll take it. Fair if you have not played the original 3; might be a blessing as the new cast won't have to compete with the old cast.

Realistically, I am expecting 30fps at 1080p for Kiwami 3. I am optimistic it could be better, but I will be surprised if so. Kiwami 2 runs at 30fps on PS4, but this is also the first time Dragon Engine is running on Switch 2, so could be something to look forward to as maybe they have had time to tweak the engine for Switch 2.

Re: Video: SEGA Shares "First Look" At Yakuza Kiwami 3's Combat Gameplay

MS7000

@AverageGamer Yeah, still sounds like you are looking for trouble otherwise you would have said something else by now. What do you think about the Rikya/Nakahara/Hamazaki recasts? Are you looking forward to spending more times with the kids at Kiryu's orphanage? Are you excited to listen to Tamiya's plot dump again? Or are you playing 3 for the first time off the back of 0, 1 and 2 when they release?

Nah, you are just here to argue and moan.

Re: Video: SEGA Shares "First Look" At Yakuza Kiwami 3's Combat Gameplay

MS7000

@AverageGamer That's great. So talk about the game. I did in my comment. Unfortunately, you get people like yourself and the second comment here who draw attention to Game Key Cards with statements like "Inb4 all on cart" or "In before people say Game Key Card bad". If you are truly tired of it, stop talking about it. But you won't.

Re: Video: SEGA Shares "First Look" At Yakuza Kiwami 3's Combat Gameplay

MS7000

Combat looking good as it usually does from RGG action games. Will pick this up on PS5 to play through Dark Ties.

I might get eventually on Switch 2, when heavily discounted.

I love how everyone is getting tired of the key card debate because they are fine with being reductive; just a piece of plastic indeed. Same people probably agree with paying for online and microtransactions.

Re: Nintendo Direct September 2025: Every Announcement, Game Reveal, Trailer

MS7000

I feel like too many strings were attached to these announcements; I don't think it was a bad direct per se, but I am still having troubles being excited for any third party game given the "physical" release is likely another game card such as DQ7. And it is also difficult to get excited over paid DLC which feels like it should have been part of the game in the first place and Switch 2 editions of games feel like a distraction. There are some things to look forward too, but not enough for me to be interested. Hopefully when March rolls around, some more exciting stuff will be on the horizon.

Re: Super Mario Bros. Wonder Is Getting A Nintendo Switch 2 Edition

MS7000

I shouldn't be surprised, but these Switch 2 editions are already getting old, and I get the horrible feeling a lot of the switch library is going to get Switch 2 editions. I am kind of expecting one for Paper Mario Origami King and another for Fire Emblem Three Houses at this point...

Re: Reaction: Switch 2 Needed A Partner Showcase With Pep; This Wasn't It

MS7000

Didn't really enjoy the direct, though I don't think it was the worst; some announcements in their like Yakuza Kiwami 2 and Persona 3 Reload, but given that it appears all the games appear to be Key Card releases; this direct might as well not have existed as I certainly won't be buying them.

If Nintendo is not giving enough options for actual cards, they need to fix this asap. If 3rd parties do have other options but are sticking with key card releases anyway; then I can only hope that they do poorly. Perhaps in bad taste, but I am so sick of being asked for more and given less in return.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Donkey Kong Bananza?

MS7000

Having finished the story and now in process of 100% (already done for a few layers), the only thing that lets it down for me is the framerate as it is very inconsistent, and some dips are harsher than others.

Love the gameplay, love the VoidCo, love the Bananza transformations and music, love the satisfaction of wrecking anything and everything. I am thrilled that finally DK has another chance in the limelight.

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Explains Why Donkey Kong Has Been Redesigned

MS7000

Yeah, I am not sure I am convinced more expression was a good reason for redesigning. If you look at Donkey Kong in Smash Bros and and Mario Strikers, there is no way you can tell me he wasn't expressive.

I've already accepted that design is gone now and there is nothing to be done about it. Just strange to me that people feel this design is that big an "improvement".

Re: UK Switch 2 Fans, Don't Bother Going To GAME Stores For Your Pre-Order

MS7000

Went into a Sports Direct recently to go to the GAME there. Only two staff I could see in the shop, one at the front door as security, one at the ground floor tills. On the first floor where the game is, the games were mostly full price, and no one was there to sell a game anyway.

If you want to buy physically in the UK, you either do so online, or go to Smyths. Not really many options beyond that.
