I expected this to be included with the system, like the excellent Astro's Playroom on PS5. Or if we go 14 years back on time, the free software that came with 3DS: Faceraiders and AR app (don't remember the name, but it was fun to play at launch).

Not cool. I advise everyone to buy some amazing indie game instead.

Never owned the first one, only played it like once at my friends place. Still have the copy of Croc 2 on PS1. I liked that one less than any Spyro or Crash on the platform but it was still an interesting game to play trough with my brothers. Maybe they'll remaster that one too, or heck, make Croc 3. That was the game I was actually waiting for back in the day because kid me thought that every game in existence will surely get more sequels.

It's been over 11 years. This must be second longest time between new DK releases, only beaten by the time gap between Donkey Kong 3 and Donkey Kong 94.

Well at least this time internal memory isn't pathetic 32gb like on Wii U and Switch so it's not that big of a problem for me.

I'm very happy to add bew Porygon cards to my collection. Those are one of the few things I collect, I'm mostly a tcg player.

I literally have every Porygon, Porygon2 and Porygon-Z in my collection... other than the japanese only Fan Club Porygon card. Those prices...

But I'll download a demo first and if I end up buying, it'll be from Steam, since they allow refund when playtime is less than 2 hours.

It was truly a great final boss. Also the only time in the series where it was truly wirth it to complete the Pokedex. My other favourites:

• Pokemon Colosseum Final boss (his Slaking was epic)
• Scarlet/Violet AI battle
• Finding Red at the top of Mt.Silver... and the ridiculous level difference when compared to the next highest level trainer in the game.

It is. Just accept the facts.

Good. Just play the game. It's fun.

About Mario Party 9 (since I'm something of a MP nerd myself):
Just because something is original, doesn't make it automatically good. The designers stated in Iwata asks interview that the decision to put all the players in the same vehicle was because "there was nothing to do while other players rolled the dice in previous Mario Party games"... which is just plain wrong. An important part in the previous Mario Party games was paying attention to what your opponents are doing on their turn: what items they buy and use, do they manipulate your moves with items such as poison mushrooms and pipes, etc. Mario Party 9 lacks a lot of planning decision making since all the players are heading to the same direction while sitting in a car (there are different dices to use, but a lot less decision making that would actually matter in the long run). As someone who has played every Mario Party game to date, I'm just glad that awful era of Mario Party games (2012-2017) is over (Mario Party Advance can join the bottom tier party of MP too). What MP9 and 10 (and the 3DS entries) had though, were solid minigames and extra modes.

If car ever makes it grand return to Mario Party I hope it's put into an extra mode and doesn't limit the number of traditional MP boards... unless they make a lot of great changes to car mechanics, somehow making it the best MP main mode ever. I have no idea what that would require though.

Have you played Lego Island? That was the first Lego game released in the west and also one of the first pc games I got. Lego City Undercover was fun. Not one of my absolute favourites but still a great 8/10 title that deserves a sequel.

Tony Hawk's Underground 2 is the best one because you can play as Shrek.

Magic the Gathering used to be about it's own world and characters, now it's about Spongebob punching Cloud while the 4th Doctor is dancing in the backround.

Not that I really care, I'm mostly a Pokemon TCG player myself.

Black and White remakes... both 1 and 2 on a single cartridge... Pokemon company has more than enough money for that and they need make the GREATEST REMAKES EVER after what they did with Gen4 remakes (and yes, I've actually played trough Brilliant Diamond, only borrowed it though).

Which is a shame, since CTR NF and Sonic Transformed are better in both gameplay and track design, imo. I just don't get the hype for Mario Kart 9, at all.

I don't expect Nintendo to replace this with anything but having a much better, less laggy eShop would help.

Really? The latest one was Pikmin Bloom and that was over 3 years ago.

It's cool to have those 3DS exclusive stages on the big screen, but having the less graphically detailed 3DS version because of that as the base for Switch version... and selling it for 60€...

And if people don't buy this version, the hyper Nintendo fanboys will use this as an excuse for why we can't get new Donkey Kong games: "You should have bought the most expensive version of a 14 year old game" or something.

Have you played The Gym Leader Challenge format? It bans the rulebox cards (ex Pokemon, etc).

Easily the best of the three Sonic movies.

I recommend Pizza Tower to anyone who loves a great fast paced platformer with parry and combo mechanics.

And now to the topic:
It's been well documented that this partnership could've well ended into Sony's favour. Sony would have received profits from every single CD game sold and eventually they might have just become that much bigger and bought out Nintendo.

I'll join that club as well. Kiddy Kong is great and I wish his water bounce ability was used mire in DKC3.

My favourite evolution line as a console? Yes!!!

I would prefer this over the DKL sequels because of the new level themes BUT the controls and movement of the Kongs was greatly improved innthe sequels.

My neighbors played the original two on their PC's in the late 90s. One of them even said that he wanted to be part of the team developing LBA 3 in the future as an adult. Back then I just said that LBA 3 will be done years before anyone of us reaches adulthood.

And here we are with a new version of the first game and no LBA 3 on the horizon.

It'd great to have a physical release in the west, since this game is NEVER SOLD AT A DISCOUNT.

Just don't ignore certain game OST's from your vast history of games and also remove said songs from YouTube. Don't drip feed songs as you've done with old games on NSO.

Do these and I'll be a happy customer, Nintendo.

As much as I want Switch 2 revealed already, announcing Switch ports of Wii U era Zeldas would be very funny and totally worth it.

Wasn't there supposed to be a co-op update for this game or was it just a dream I had?

Had fun with Prince of Persia, I just miss the old Ubisoft that gave us new Rayman games and a little gem called Beyond Good and Evil.

Bought the original cartridge 5 years ago for 40€ and that was years after I had played it on an emulator. Last time I checked the prices for cartridge+box+manual were between 100-200€. Haven't checked after the NSO release though.

Great to have this on NSO so that I don't have to endure the frame rate of hhe original N64 release anymore.
