I've played very few of the Mario Kart's, so even though I'm a gaming veteran, I've not heard most of these tracks.

They are pretty stinkin' good though.

Ooooooh very nice! Makes me want to play, but I'll hold out a little longer just in case there's a remake/remaster!

I hope SE do some Switch 2 upgrades to some of those games, especially DQ11! I'd love a 4K playthrough of that one!

I haven't played any Mario Kart since the Wii U version, so it's been a blast being terrible and trying out all the modes!

I even tried some online play, which is something I hardly ever do, and I got a huge kick out of the elimination mode!

@Lorenzi Thanks for the response! I'm loving the game so far, and now that I got the Switch 2 setup, I'm ready to jump back in on the new console!

I've enjoyed going through menus and things. Haven't played a game yet, but I'm already having a good time!

Animal Well is an experience that stayed with me a long time. I definitely want this book to learn more about it.

I've been wanting to play these, so it's good to know they will all probably come to Switch 2.

I just hope my nostalgia for the original game doesn't make me nitpick everything 😂

Awesome, I've been waiting for this! I would have 100%ed Sea of Stars, but just couldn't get a handle on the wheels mini game. Regardless, between the Equinox update and this new DLC, I'm very happy to dive back in!

Man, it's hard to pick just one. I'm excited for the potential new entries in so many of these series. So many good ideas in the article and comments too. Take note Nintendo!

My buddy, who's always been my heads up for Nintendo console preorders, called me last night and said that Switch 2 preorders are live. I was like, "I'll risk it and just wait on my invite from Nintendo."

@Athropos I was wondering the same thing. I held off playing X for various reasons, and will finally have the chance to play it when the Switch 2 comes out.

@DonkeyKongBigBoy I don't think the GC version of Twilight Princess had widescreen. The Wii version did, however.

I never played the GC version or the WiiU remake, so I hope we get it in some form on Switch 2. Great game, but I never entirely clicked with it on Wii because of the motion controls.

I'm not particularly into racing games, but stuff like this really makes me want Mario Kart World.

@Daniel36 Interesting you say that, because a similar thing happened to me. I got the game with some birthday money when it originally came out, but only played an hour or so. Never touched it again, and I don't know why. I also lost the disk, which was very uncommon even for a 12 year-old me.

I didn't realize rumble drained batteries. Must not be much, cause I've always turned rumble up in games as much as possible, but still gotten hours and hours on a single charge.

Regardless, I do love a good controller rumble and look forward to the Switch 2 improvemments!

@Pillowpants Ha! Yes! I remember how much I loved those magazine days! I would just look at them over and over again. There was an issue of Nintendo Power I admired in particular. I think Earthworm Jim was on the cover, but there was this huge section of a FFVI (III back then) walkthrough in it. It was chock full of that classic Final Fantasy art. So awesome!

And, yeah, I feel super old too. 😂

This is an awesome little game! Great attention to detail, lots of stuff to find, varied enemies, and most of all, it's fun!

I emailed the dev years ago, just to tell him how much I loved Phoenotopia: Awakening. At the time, he seemed discouraged, and acted as if he wouldn't be making a follow up. Imagine my surprise when I saw this!

Phoenotopia: Awakening is my favorite indie game of all time. Play that game, then play this one!

Ah yes, I remember the night my older brother and his buddy allowed me to play Secret of Mana with them. It was like being called up to the big leagues. I know I only weighed them down, those werewolves in the haunted forest kept killing me, but I had such a blast!

This would be a good way to differentiate games between the two consoles for all the casual buyers out there.

I believe I've gotten every Nintendo home console day one since the GameCube. Now that it looks they will have a lot to sell, I don't think that will change!

I think it's great. It reminds me of the slight Mario Wonder redesigns, which I loved.

@masterLEON Thanks for the response! I Googled info on the level cap, and found an analysis of the X DE trailer. Folks spotted sections where characters were higher than level 60. They must have changed the cap. Interesting if so.

If I remember correctly, wasn't there a level cap below the typical RPG number of 99? I remember running into that and being disappointed since I sucked at the game, and couldn't just grind to get "better" 😂

@ferryb001 Oh wow, didn't realize this was the same guys who made Wuppo! Loved Wuppo, which means I'll definitely be getting this game!

Beyond Galaxyland was pretty great. I'd love to see more from the developer.

I remember the year I took shop class in high school, they were remodeling the shop. We had to have the class in the computer lab. One of the assignments for like two months straight was beat Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. It was a really fun time, and I'm very excited to jump back in!

@Ulysses I've been wondering the same thing. There's been a lot of DK related stuff this year, like way more than most Nintendo franchises, surely it cold be leading to an actual new game?

@silver-crescent It's definitely one of the best indies ever. It fits in that category of games I like so much, I'll double dip in a heartbeat. Will probably now get it on Steam since I haven't played it since it came out on Switch.

I think Radient Historia is the only game I've ever bought that I never actually played through. I remember booting up the game once, then never touched it again. I really can't say why either. It's very strange.
