@Sylamp The series is complicated, but does a wonderful job easing you into it. They introduce new mechanics slowly enough not to overwhelm you. Even though I played XBC1 and XBX when they first came out, I was still hesitant to play XBC2 and XBC3 because they looked overly confusing. Thankfully I gave them a chance last year, and was pleased by the well paced in-game tutorials, etc. Now, XBC2 can be very obtuse in places, but the entire series is a joy to play, and you get a serious bang for your buck.
I'm very glad I waited to play these. Firstly, I can play them on my preferred system. Secondly, I can play them all relatively close together (I'm assuming the 3rd one will be out within a year or so)!
Always got a kick out of this game, especially the music and sound effects. Reminds me of those last wild days of gaming before everything became so structured.
Very cool. I had no desire to play the remake games when they came out years ago, but after the first one was announced for Switch 2, I really looked into them, and now that I've played the demo of remake intergrade, I can honestly say this is the most excited I've been to play a game(s) since Zelda: TOTK!
@Duncanballs Thanks for the insight into the demo. Although I'm a lifelong classic RPG man, I've only played XI in the DQ series. My wife preordered DQVII Reimagined for me, and I am really excited to play now that I've seen a lot of positive reactions to the demo.
I had an idea for the contest, but I can't draw, so I didn't submit. He was called "Ad Man." He was like a giant monitor with arms and legs. His move set involved hypnotizing Mega Man with ads and such, then attacking. The contest required a suction cup mechanic, and although it was a bit of a stretch, one of his hands was also a screen, and that one "sucked" Mega Man in with alluring ads.
Pippistrello was fantastic all around. Blade Chimera was great fun to play, but was very predictable story wise. Also, one not on the list: Momodora: Moonlit Farewell was a great as well.
This is one of those things I agree, but also struggle with. My fondest memory of Mario Sunshine is using the shoulder buttons for the Fludd controls. That was a new thing for Nintendo at the time, and I loved it. On the flip side, control experimentation can also lead to having to waggle a Wiimote for Link to swing a sword 🤣
I remember getting Luigi's Mansion day one with the GameCube. Dad took me to Walmart at like 5 am to get it. Haven't played it since then. This might be my reason to upgrade to the Expansion Pack.
Man, those are tempting. I caved and bought the pixel remasters cartridge after already buying digital on both PC and Switch. I also have FFVII and FFIX on both PC and Switch. DO I REALLY NEED THE PHYSICAL OF THOSE TOO?!!!!
As much as I love all the additional tracks on the Switch version (especially the battle themes), I have a heavy nostalgia and love for the GameCube versions.
I got married right around when the Switch 2 came out, so my gaming time has reduced drastically. I'll be getting Silksong, but who knows if I'll ever finish it!🤣
The game is so much more fun than I was expecting! So much fun to explore and mess around. Might have to change my score from a 9 to a 10, because it just may end up being one of my favorite ever games.
I didn't even know this was a thing until I left the opening screen on and walked into another room. When I came back, I was like "whoa, this is so cool!"

Re: Nintendo Indie World Showcase March 2026: Every Announcement, Game Reveal, Trailer
I loved the first Toem, so I will definitely get the sequel!
Re: Gallery: Here's A Closer Look At The First Official Artwork From Pokémon Winds & Waves
@DTFaux Yep, I can definitely see the hoverboards as a way to traverse the map instead of the big lizard things from Scarlet & Violet.
The boards wouldn't require any story explanation either🤣
Re: Marvel Maximum Collection Revives Six Classic Superhero Titles On Switch
Eh-eh-eh-eh-X-men!
Re: Anniversary: The Legend Of Zelda Turns 40 Today - How Did You First Play It?
I first played on the NES in about 1991, but never actually did a full playthrough until the 3DS. I needed those save states!

Re: Surprise! Braid: Anniversary Edition Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Just Dropped
Darn, I just recently got the Switch 1 version. I took the time to get all the stars, NO WAY I'm doing that again just for higher resolution.🤣
Re: Talking Point: Age Of Imprisonment Could Inspire Next Zelda Game, Say Devs, But What Does That Mean?
@mlt I think you're onto something there. It'd be pretty cool to see wartime Hyrule. Lots of interesting things they could do with that.

Re: Review: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade (Switch 2) - A Big, Bold Reimagining, And A First-Class Port
I was already pumped to play this, then I got the demo and heard the music, now I'm super pumped!
Although I think I might be disappointed since I'm expecting Red XIII to have the same voice as Dromarch from XBC2🤣
Re: Video: Nintendo Highlights Enhanced Switch Games On Switch 2
I do hope they release some more of these free updates. Quite a few great games I'd love to play with some extra visual something-something!

Re: Final Fantasy XIV Online Director Reportedly Hints At Nintendo Release
How's the game play? Is it turn-based combat? Or something like World of Warcraft, etc.?

Am I crazy or is that Bitabuto Kingdom music also used in another Nintendo game?

Re: Nintendo Music "Special Release" Adds Seven Tracks From Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
I'm a big ole nerd, I won't even listen to these tracks before I play the game, because of "spoilers."😅
Re: Review: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition (Switch 2) - Samus Returns In Prime Form
My wife graciously bought me this for an early Christmas present! I am so ready to play!
Re: PSA: You Can Now Remap 'Nintendo Classics' NES And Game Boy Controls
Wonderful! I've been waiting for the button remapping! Time for some SMB3!
Re: Anniversary: Romancing SaGa 3 Celebrates 30 Years Of Eclipsing Death
@Lumi777 Oooooh okay. Thanks for clarifying. I'm dumb and confused a bunch of things.
Re: Anniversary: Romancing SaGa 3 Celebrates 30 Years Of Eclipsing Death
I might be mistaken, but isn't there a remake already?
Re: Site News: Nintendo Life Turns 20 Today!
So glad I found Nintendo Life about 8 years ago. It's become my all time favorite website. I check it every day! Happy birthday!🎊

@johnedwin @MirrorFate2 What content was removed?
Re: Review: Luigi's Mansion (GameCube) - A Spooky Little Romp That Still Sucks You In
@DennyCrane Yes! I'd love to see some unique ghosts/monsters too, not just a bunch of generic ones.
Re: Review: Luigi's Mansion (GameCube) - A Spooky Little Romp That Still Sucks You In
@DennyCrane Well said! Those are my exact sentiments. And LM3 is, I think, the only Nintendo AAA I never finished and sold.
Re: Review: Luigi's Mansion (GameCube) - A Spooky Little Romp That Still Sucks You In
@DennyCrane I agree! Loved this one, but never really clicked with the sequels.

Probably.

Re: The Entire Final Fantasy VII Remake Trilogy Is Making Its Way To Switch 2
@progx I saw that price and was kinda blown away by how cheap it is compared to other AAA Switch 2 games. Is it going up to $69.99 once it comes out?
Re: Final Fantasy 7 Remake For Switch 2 Slips Into 2026
I've been on the fence about this one for years, but I think I'm finally sold now that it's on Switch 2!

Fantastic, phenomenal game! I remember the magic and joy of playing it the first time! Plus, the humor is spot on!
Re: Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase July 2025: Every Announcement, Game Reveal, Trailer
Weird that Octopath has a generic custom lead character, but it still looks good. I'm very excited for the Elliot game.
And did I miss something, is the Oblivion remake coming to Switch 2?

@adamagogobaby Yeah, I think you just press x or y to hide the UI.

Still a kid at heart, I guess. 😁
