@Yosher I'd say they're much better in every regard. Improved visuals that add so much without detracting from game's original style, overworld maps, beastiarys and diagonal movement!!!!!!

Plus, many of the "cinema" scenes are greatly improved and given a much more epic approach. For example, the leviathan attack on FFIV is way more intense and menacing. The size of leviathan, the whirlpool and storm effects are big and bad compared to the original. But it doesn't look out of place for the game's style though.

Oh, and all the music is orchestrated. Purists might prefer the original midis, but the orchestra music is top notch.

F-Zero GX is my favorite racing game, and I've never played this, and frankly never really heard anything about it, so I'm legit tempted to finally get the NSO Expansion Pak for this alone.

Never thought a racing game could tempt me like that lol.

I got the OG Switch on day 1. Had to replace the fan, but other than that, it's in great condition!

I remember not being able to find a copy of Cubivore even at the time of its release. I've always wanted to play that one.

Metroid Dread was my definite favorite game of the year. I haven't played Eastward or Death's Door though, but I'm really pumped to finally get into them soon.

I love that wood carved Zelda map! Really tempted to get it for myself!

@r4ind4nce Same! I already loved the story/gameplay/humor, etc., but all those little details and secrets are what made the game top tier for me.

@r4ind4nce I'd emailed the developer some time back and he told me that his next game is gonna be much smaller, but hopes to one day do a P:A sequel.

I've become a huge fan of the Metroidvania genre over these last 10 years or so, so it's so exciting to finally play a new game from the grandaddy of it all!

The first Blossom Tales was great. Will definitely get this one too.

Definitely surprised by these voice actors, but I get it. This is Nintendo's first big foray into a proposed series of cartoon movies. Using big name actors is a good way to get those tickets sold.

Very good direct! Great reveals, especially some that I don't think anyone ever would think would happen (Actraiser remake lol), nice teases, and some genuinely great footage of a lot of games I'm looking forward to. Kirby and Splatoon got me especially excited!

This has been on my radar for a while. I'm excited to see that most reviews are saying the game is really good. I want a physical copy, but don't know if I can wait that long!

Don't get me wrong, the game is a lot of fun and has some good story (when you find it), but without past playthroughs (or Googling) , the game is very confusing and unclear on what the player should be doing.

I loved the game when it came out and played it over and over, renting it numerous times. In fact, the amount of times we rented it, probably could have just payed for the game lol.

That being said, now that I've played the remaster without nostalgia glasses on, I can see why it's such a divisive game.

This was always my favorite chapter in the game!

I remember playing through a second time and being so surprised that the Yoshi was a different color!

I went to their website to buy this, but while browsing, ended up buying the SNES Pixel Book instead. Lol, I guess now I'll wait for the reprint and hope I don't get distracted by something else!

It's really cool (and a little strange) that my favorite indies of all time, Golf Story, Hollow Knight & Axiom Verge are getting sequels this year(ish)!

I bought the Switch port of DQIII after playing, and loving, XI. I didn't like it to say the least. BUT I know DQIII is a fan favorite, so I'm definitely gonna pick this one up! Redemption!

Robotrek too, but that might fall under the Square Enix category, I don't remember who made it.

I've been searching around, but can't find any other articles on this, so my question to you all is: did this game have a different title? I recognize this game, but think it was called something else.

F-Zero GX is probably the only racing game other than the original Mario Kart that I've really really enjoyed and wanted to replay.

That being said, I've always thought some major reimagining (with racing still in it of course) of the series would be really cool. Think of something like a GTA-style F-Zero where you actually get in and out of vehicles as Captain Falcon while he hunts bounties. Nintendo could do something Nintendo with that. Make it the BOTW of F-Zero.

Gotta say I'm very impressed with all the TLC put into this game. Mr. Galati seems like a passionate guy and I hope the game sells well.

I was excited for this when it first came out, but didn't particularly care for it after playing. I'm interested in what this definitive version offers though.

Axiom Verge is one of my top 5 Metroidvanias of all time and one of those rare games I bought AND completed on different platforms. I'm super cheap and hardly ever play through games more than once...so what I'm saying is that Axiom Verge is really good and I definitely want the sequel.

Well, I've never played a Crash game, maybe it's time to start.

Lonk! That's the same joke name I used for my last playthrough on NSO. I got a nice laugh every time a character said it during dramatic moments. I'm easily amused!

Totally agree. And I never actually played the WiiU Twilight Princess remake, so I'm all about that getting a Switch version. They might as well give us a WiiU Wind Waker HD remake deluxe, etc. Switch version too while they're at it.

Great group of games there. Odd to not see Phenotopia: Awakening on it though.
