@outsider83 The Mother series turns a lot of people off by its simple presentation, but really shines in telling a deep and compelling story that is both heartwarming, heartbreaking, and hilarious. The mostly present day set games contain all kinds of great and bizarre characters, excellent music, and they do get quite cinematic and epic as you progress.

@PBandSmelly Been years (like 20!) since I played FFA on my Pocket Gameboy, but I remember it being pretty fun. Zelda-ish, with different kinds of weapons you can use.

I like a lot of people's ideas listed here, it gets me excited to think about. If we get a new map, I hope it involves the borders beyond Hyrule, and/or some kind of subterranean kingdom. I think that would make most sense, being a direct sequel, the terrain of Hyrule would presumably be the same. Well, unless the end of that trailer is teasing some crazy geological shifts...

Link's Awakening is one of my absolute favorite games ever, so I am thrilled to play this in an HD remake! Gosh, I played through it so many times as a kid, I could still probably speed run the game from memory (unless they've added new story content).

I remember reading that Square's original files for this game were lost in time, and that's why the recent PC, etc ports were bad. Is this one of the bad ports or what?

I really enjoyed the style, humor, music, and charcters of the first 2 Earthworm Jim games, and still am fond of the creativity of the whole universe they made, but man, I really didn't enjoy those games very much. I wanted to, but just never could really get into them, mainly cause of difficulty and the weird gimmicks.

Neat. Maybe this is an excuse to do a third playthrough.😉

This really has been a great 24 hours of news. Hollow Knight is hands down the best non-Nintendo created game on Switch, and now we get a sequel!

Was hoping they'd remaster the original trilogy for Switch, but this is even better!

Played the fan translation when it came out, and loved it of course, but really want to play it through official means!

@RupeeClock Well, Q1 isn't particularly story heavy from what I remember, so you're probably okay in that regard.

Q.U.B.E. 1 on the Wii U was pretty fun, so I will probably get this.

@Desrever Sorry buddy, unless I've missed something, Crosscode has no co-op. The game (and story) make it feel like an MMO to a T, but it's actually just one player. Even in the story, only one person is in a dungeon at a time.

Awww man! Just got this on PC about a month ago, cause they said it wasn't coming to Switch! Excellent game though, great combat and puzzles. Worth a double dip.

I've played all the FF's up to X and generally liked all of them, but am pretty keen on IV to VI, so do you think It'd be worth getting XII? Is it too far a departure for an old school RPG guy to like? Keep in mind I do really like the Xenoblade games.

@JaxonH I'm in a similar boat as you, although I started off with Mega Man 4.

I'm pleasantly surprised by Octopath's success. It's a really good game and I hope it gives Ol' Square the nerve to release more like it.

Not having played Perfect Dark since its release, that article headline really confused me.

Love this game so much, and will gladly buy a physical version.

One question though: can digital game saves transfer over to physical?

A truly excellent Metroidvania, among so many already great Metroidvanias.

I definitely cut my video gaming teeth on 90s JRPG's (they're still my favorite games ever), and I even really liked the PlayStation sequel to this series, SaGa Frontier, but I just couldn't get into this particular game. Maybe I set my expectations too high.
