@Freek Of those metroidvanias you mentioned, which would you recommend most? I've never played any of them.

I'm not a huge fan of either racing games or battle royales, but I enjoy this game very much! "I'll just do one more race." I've told myself 1000 times.

I am super pumped for this! I remember getting the original on my 14th birthday. One of the most fun and creative RPG's ever. Day one purchase for sure!

Yep, Secret of Mana has always been one of those classic games I can play over and over again. Graphics (and color) and music are top notch. And I gotta say, the music in the snow area is one of the most beautifully haunting pieces of music I've ever heard. Stirs my heart every time I hear it.

Now that TotK is out, Sea of Stars is my most anticipated game! Love throwback games that have modern features and such! The best of both!

@ChromaticDracula Same here! Well, not the patio part. I'm old and hate being rushed through games that I pay hard earned money for (especially when I had to walk 5 miles in the snow, uphill, to get to work lol).

I loved Pikmin 2, so it looks like 4 is in a similar vein. Gonna go preorder now!

They should make some kind of hybrid that bridges the Mega Man series into the Mega Man X series. It could be cool from a story and game play perspective.

I took off work when Breath of the Wild came out because of excitement.

I'm arguably more excited for Tears of the Kingdom, yet this weekend is one of the busiest for me, so I probably won't really be able to play until next week. The irony is hilarious!

Now, Smelter got a little too difficult and irritating for me by the end (and I never finished it), but I still really liked the game, and look very forward to this one.

Hopefully there will be an easy mode for us old fogey's who've lost their skills!

I liked the dinner scene a lot. I've always been a sucker for those kinds of movie family moments. Adds just a nice little bit of real life.

I very much look forward to the shenanigans I'll be getting into in TotK.

Dondozo is my favorite new monster in the game, so yes, I like the design. Outside of glitches, watching him do bodyslam is the funniest moment in the game for me.

I really really liked the original. I also remember it being terribly difficult. I wonder if that was just me being an inexperienced 12-year-old gamer or if it was actually hard. Are there difficulty options lol?

What's weird to me is that I can find a lot of the older games in physical form on Amazon...cheaper than the voucher. CRAZAY.

I loved the breaking weapons mechanic, and definitely want it to return.

For whatever reason, what struck me the most was being able to see through the doorways into the next room. I like that.

Just talking the game itself, how good is it? Even as an old school RPG guy, I've never played any of the Tales series. For me, there's not much I'm interested in on the Switch the next few months other than the new Zelda, so I'd like a good game to hold me over til May.

I was always had a blast against the Helmaroc King in WW. Loved using the hammer on him!

@gaga64 I would definitely recommend these pixel remasters even if you already own them in various ways. All the music has been orchestrated, which even as a chip tune purist myself, it really really sounds good and fits. QOL stuff has been added like minimaps, diagonal movement, better battle menus, etc. The graphics are true to the originals, and yet they've really jazzed them up with better animations and particle effects. Plus, they've really stepped it up with certain "cinema scenes." Like the Leviathan attacking the ship part in IV has so much more epicness to it, and they legit added actual singing to the opera scene in VI.

Not to mention you can now get all six in one collection (if ever available), instead of buying them separately.

@BongoBongo123 I'd love that too (it was the last thing I ever backed btw), but I recently checked up on the dev's Kickstarter page and there isn't much to indicate the game is close to finally being done.

I'm genuinely excited for this. Haven't played Pokémon in years, but this kind of stuff makes me want to so much! Plus, I got a staff appreciation bonus from work, so I can get the game for free, so why not buy?!

I randomly had the Pokémon itch last week (not played any of the games in 10 years), and bought Coromon while it was on sale. Didn't love it, but this update is a reason to give it a second chance!

@Purgatorium I agree 100%. I absolutely love Phoenotopia: Awakening, but boy is it difficult at times, even with accessibility options.

I'd never played a single DQ game until I bought XI on a whim. It ended up being my favorite RPG of the last 20 years.

So yeah, I'm excited for XII.

What would be the official English name if it ever got localized? Earthbound Endings? Earthbound 2? Earthbound Jim?

Definitely was on of the best games on the console. I had a lot of fun with it.

Man, I literally JUST played through this on Steam and got every ending! Now they add this cool update?! 🤣🤣🤣

@Yosher I'd say they're much better in every regard. Improved visuals that add so much without detracting from game's original style, overworld maps, beastiarys and diagonal movement!!!!!!

Plus, many of the "cinema" scenes are greatly improved and given a much more epic approach. For example, the leviathan attack on FFIV is way more intense and menacing. The size of leviathan, the whirlpool and storm effects are big and bad compared to the original. But it doesn't look out of place for the game's style though.

Oh, and all the music is orchestrated. Purists might prefer the original midis, but the orchestra music is top notch.

F-Zero GX is my favorite racing game, and I've never played this, and frankly never really heard anything about it, so I'm legit tempted to finally get the NSO Expansion Pak for this alone.

Never thought a racing game could tempt me like that lol.

I got the OG Switch on day 1. Had to replace the fan, but other than that, it's in great condition!

I remember not being able to find a copy of Cubivore even at the time of its release. I've always wanted to play that one.

Metroid Dread was my definite favorite game of the year. I haven't played Eastward or Death's Door though, but I'm really pumped to finally get into them soon.

I love that wood carved Zelda map! Really tempted to get it for myself!
